OC4J configuration File

Hi,
I have created a new forms confirmation file MYFormweb.cfg. Now I want that OC4J should call this file upon form deployment.
Can any body help me on this issue, i.e. which file I should modify.
Thanks.

Hi Khayyam2 ,
You mean that you want to use your configuration file instead of formsweb.cfg?
If "Yes", then you can do either of the following:
1. Take backup of your formsweb.cfg file and rename your configuration file to formsweb.cfg.
2. Edit forms.properties file last line typically like below to replace formsweb.cfg file name with your configuration file name.
servlet.frmservlet.initArgs=configFileName=C:\DevSuiteHome_1/forms/server/formsweb.cfg,testmode=false
Hope it helps.
Please mark answer as helpful / correct, if it helps you

    Hi,
    Seems you have not extracted downloaded zip files into same directory. In that case you get error like
    java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    /Disk2/database/stage/Components/oracle.rsf.hybrid/11.1.0.6.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup12.jar (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
    java.io.FileNotFoundException:
    /Disk2/database/stage/Components/oracle.rsf.hybrid/11.1.0.6.0/1/DataFiles/filegroup5.jar (A file or directory in the path name does not exist.)
    Also after installation dbca will throw error.
    Try the below
    For AIX platform:
    unzip in the same folder
    $ mkdir 1120
    $ mv aix.ppc64_11g_database_1of2.zip  1120
    $ mv aix.ppc64_11g_database_2of2.zip  1120
    $ cd 1120
    $ unzip aix.ppc64_11g_database_1of2.zip
    $ unzip aix.ppc64_11g_database_2of2.zip
    $ cd database
    $ ./runInstaller
    This is true for all platforms on which you get two .zip files to download
    For Windows 64 bit example on 11.2.0.1 you can do the following  :
    - create a directory C:\tmp\1120
    - copy winx64_11g_database_1of2.zip and winx64_11g_database_2of2.zip under  C:\tmp\1120
    - unzip winx64_11g_database_1of2.zip and winx64_11g_database_2of2.zipunder  C:\tmp\1120

  • Jdev 10.1.2  JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file bc4j.xcfg in cla

    Hi all,
    i have a ear application containing a web app and a bc4j module deployed on the embedded oc4j instance inside JDeveloper 10.1.2 (build 1929). Inside the model i have a topic durable subscriber that, when a message is sent, invoke, by reflection, a java class to perform the job. Inside the java class i need an Application Module so i write
    ApplicationModule am = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(fullClassName, configuration);
    but i get the error in the subject.
    Here is a piece of the stack trace

    I've read all the stuff about this exception but they do not apply to mi problem (I run the adf runtime installer, i try with an oc4j extended and standalone....)
    Please help us. Thanks
    Any ideas?
    Suggestion?

    This program is an example of basically what ADFBC will be trying to do to open/parse the bc4j.xcfg file. Can you incorporate the same lines into your test program to see if it also behaves the same in your JMS-initiated Java class ?
    Of course, you'll need to substitute "sample/common/bc4j.xcfg" with your relevant path name.
    package sample;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.DOMParser;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLDocument;
    import oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException;
    import org.xml.sax.SAXException;
    public class Class1 {
      public static void main(String[] args) throws XMLParseException,
                                                      SAXException, IOException {
        DOMParser d = new DOMParser();
       d.parse(Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader().getResource("sample/common/bc4j.xcfg"));
        XMLDocument doc = d.getDocument();
        doc.print(System.out);
    }

    I had similar problems with jsf-impl.jar.
    Sun do provide the xsd schemas locally inside the jar files so internet connection
    should not be required if parser is configured right.
    In my case I removed commons-digester-1.6.jar from my application and replaced it
    with commons-digester.jar supplied by JDeveloper builtin library named Commons Digester 1.5.
    Digester was configuring the (oracle) xerces parser.

  • Where are configure files for Grid Control components?

    I installed Grid Control 11g on Redhat 5.2, the repository database is Oracle 11.2.0.2 on the same box. It worked after installation, but after some weeks, I restart oms and got error [oracle@cchbi bin]$ ./emctl start oms

    Oracle Management Server is not functioning because of the following reason:
    Connection to the repository failed. Verify that the repository connection information provided is correct.Tried to google and search the forum, the message is not very selective and got few relevant resut.
    Hope your exterts can point me to the configure file where I can verify the connetion to repository. Alos some one would share with me the knowledge on the following topics
    1) What are the processes/components of Grid Control ? I am aware of oms, opmn, and a process run as /u01/app/midware/oms11g/ccr/bin/nmz -cron –silent. ANy others? What are their functions?
    2) Location of configure files, log files and binary executables of this processes/components.
    Many thnaks.

    Hi,
    to check if the OMS is running properly execute the command "emctl status oms" ($OMS_HOME/bin).
    The result should be "Oracle Management Server is up".
    To check which components are currently running execute the command "opmnctl status" ($OMS_HOME/opmn/bin).
    The result should be something like:
    Processes in Instance: EnterpriseManager0.<host
    -----------------------------------------------------------+---------
    ias-component | process-type | pid | status
    -----------------------------------------------------------+---------
    DSA | DSA | N/A | Down

    OC4J | OC4J_EM | 26523 | Alive
    WebCache | WebCache | 27085 | Alive
    WebCache | WebCacheAdmin | 27086 | Alive
    Executing this command will answer your question whioch components need/should be up when using OEM/GC.
    You will find some logfiles of the OMS under $OMS_HOME/sysman/log (e.g. emoms.trc, emoms.log). Please check logfile OC4J~OC4J_EM~default_island~1 under $OMS_HOME/opmn/logs as well...
    To start the OMS you might try the command "opmnctl startall"...

  • 9.0.3 can't find .xcfg configuration file in classpath

    I could run a test client against my EJBs using 9.0.2 (part of the Developer Suite). When I try to use 9.0.3 standalone version I get the following error:
    oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: oracle.jbo.JboException, msg=JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file gov\va\med\hac\server\domain\bc4jImpl\common\bc4j.xcfg in the classpath
    I've made all the changes in the j2ee/home/config files, but I didn't see anywhere where the classpath is set. The directory structure in the Exception above is where the application's .class files are so it is finding that much.
    Any pointers?

    Dean -- this is likely to be better addressed/answered in the BC4J/JDeveloper forum since it's related to the configuration steps to get BC4J to work on OC4J standalone.
    To get a response, I'd recommend you repost the question to the JDeveloper forum, where the folks with BC4J knowledge lurk.
    cheers

    Please suggest me what to do and how to rectify. Can we work with forms without this component. I am getting the same component failure when I install 9IAS option on infrastructure.
    With best regards and Thanks
    Varma.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the information. I installed 3 times but still the same problem persists. Apache is working fine. Hosts file also configured with the same system IP. Is this component important for executing 9i forms and reports. Is there any way to install this component alone.
    Can u suggest any good document about installation and configuration of Oracle 9i application for a layman in Oracle 9iAS. if you have any documents can u send them to [email protected]
    Waiting for your replay....

  • How to use RAC database connection details in oc4j.xcfg files

    Hi all,
    we are using oc4j.xcfg files for the application module configuration for an ADF application. and one of the database has been configured on RAC. Any input on how to specify the RAC database details in the oc4j.xcfg file specially for the host name parameter.
    The example entry like in oc4j.xcfg is like
    ?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <BC4JConfig>
    <AppModuleConfigBag>
    <AppModuleConfig name="AppModuleLocal">
    <AppModuleJndiName>dbta.model.AppModule</AppModuleJndiName>
    <DeployPlatform>LOCAL</DeployPlatform>
    <JDBCName>connectDB</JDBCName>
    <ApplicationName>dbta.model.AppModule</ApplicationName>
    <jbo.project>Model</jbo.project>
    </AppModuleConfig>
    </AppModuleConfigBag>
    <ConnectionDefinition name="connectDB">
    <ENTRY name="ConnectionName" value="connectDB"/>
    <ENTRY name="URL" value="jdbc:oracle:thin:<user>/<pass>@<server>:<Port>:<SID>"/>
    <ENTRY name="HOSTNAME" value="<server>"/>
    <ENTRY name="JDBC_PORT" value="<port>"/>
    <ENTRY name="SID" value="<SID>"/>
    <ENTRY name="ConnectionType" value="JDBC"/>
    <ENTRY name="JdbcDriver" value="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"/>
    <ENTRY name="ORACLE_JDBC_TYPE" value="thin"/>
    <ENTRY name="DeployPassword" value="true"/>
    </ConnectionDefinition>
    how to specify the failover nodes details in the above entry for host name etc.
    Thanks

  • What are the  configuration files ( list them) in DCM repository

    DCM Reference Guide says that Configuration information for OHS,OC4J, OC4j applications,OPMN,JAZN are stored in repository. Can any one give me the list of configuration files it is storing? Or How to list them.

    betaneptune wrote:
    An iMovie project is a bundle?
    Yes. What appears in the Finder as a singel file is really a bundle of files.
    But what are they?
    I can't tell you exactly - but I'm sure there's data there that allows iMovie to undo things you've already done, references the event clips used in the movie, thumbnails, backups, transitions you've used - that kind of thing.
    I deleted them on a junk project and so no ill effect, though I didn't check all the things you can do with a project.
    Even so, I'd restrict that kind of experimentation to junk projects.
    Regardless of whether it's safe to delete them, I'd like to know what they are.
    Fair question. I wish I could tell you more.

  • What causes JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /common/bc4j.xcfg

    I know that the jbo exception message:
    JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /common/bc4j.xcfg
    can be caused by several things including the file really not being there. But in my current case, I know it is there and can be found throgh the classpath, because I actually find it using Configuration.buildConfigurationFileNameFromClassPath and
    Configuration.getConfiguration just before calling Configuration.createRootApplicationModule. Is there any way to turn on a diagnostic to find out what is really wrong?
    I would also like to request an enhancement to give meaningful messages in the jbo exception.
    Roger

    This is on jdev 903 with patch running a local application attempting to connect to standalone OC4J 903. I think the error occurs before there is ever any attempt to make the connection to OC4J. Having one big catch-all exception for everything that can go wrong in creating the AM is pretty poor. I know in the past I have done manual editing of bc4j.xcfg and XML sentax errors cause exactly the same exception as not having the file at all. That is why I would at least like a list of all the causes behind the exception so I can go through and check them all.
    Thanks,
    Roger

  • JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file /Procref/common/bc4j.xcfg

    Migrating project from Jdev 9.031 to Jdev 10.1.2.
    After the migration the app works fine on Jdev 10.1.2, but when deployed to local stand alone OC4J it throws the JBO 33001 error.
    I added dependency of view to the model.
    Checked the existense of bc4j.xcfg in the classes.
    I also ran the ADF Runtime installer as per the recommendations.

    This is the same problem I am having. The "Model" product contains the AppModule and it's entity and view objects.
    I right-clicked on the AppModule and chose "Business Components Deployment". This created in the Resources folder a Model.bcdeploy, which contained ModelMiddleTier1.deploy and ModelCommon1.deploy.
    When I went to the project properties of my "WS" project in the same workspace, in the Dependencies panel, Model.bcdeploy and its 2 .deploy files were now listed bewas now listed beneath model.jpr. There is a check mark beside model.jpr. I thought this would do it.
    I then recreated the "J2EE Web Service" from class file in the WS project, and deployed to the external OC4J.
    When I test the web service using OC4J's test facility, I still get the same JBO-33001 error complaining that the adfws/model/common/bc4j.xcfg file is not in the classpath.
    Does something else need done to get it to be found at run time?
    This is JDev 10.1.3.
    Thanks for any ideas.

  • Who can help? BC4J: Cannot find the configuration file bc4j.xcfg

JboException, msg=JBO-33001: Cannot find the configuration file pilot\common\bc4j.xcfg in the classpath "
    Kijk ik echter in de WEB_INF\classes directory dan bestaat er wel degelijk een pilot\common\bc4j.xcfg file in die directory.
    Het gebeurt bij instantieren van de applicatie-module van BC4J in het volgende code-snippet
    String applicationModule = "pilot.PilotModule"; // Full name of application module
    String configuration = "PilotModuleLocal"; // Name of configuration
    PilotModuleImpl am = (PilotModuleImpl)
    Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(applicationModule,configuration);
    Ik heb Business-components gedecompileerd om te kijken waar de fout optreedt:
    en dit gebeurt in de method loadFromClassPath(String s) in de configuration class
    nadat hij buildConfigurationFileNameFromClassPath de string " pilot\common\bc4j.xcfg "
    heeft opgebouwd. Hij kan de stream dus niet inlezen.
    public void loadFromClassPath(String s)
    throws JboException
    String s1 = "/" + s;
    s1 = s1.replace(File.separatorChar, '/');
    InputStream inputstream = JBOClass.getResourceAsStream(s1);
    if(inputstream == null)
    inputstream = JBOClass.getResourceAsStream(s1.substring(1));
    if(inputstream == null)
    throw new JboException(Class.forName("oracle.jbo.common.CommonMessageBundle"), "33001", new Object[] {
    s1
    try
    loadFromStream(inputstream);
    inputstream.close();
    inputstream = null;
    catch(Exception exception)
    JboException jboexception = new JboException(Class.forName("oracle.jbo.common.CommonMessageBundle"), "33001", new Object[] {
    s
    jboexception.addToDetails(exception);
    throw jboexception;

    I'm having this same problem when I try to run my BC4J project. This has happened to me before but I forgot how it was resolved. Any ideas?

    Hello;
    I'm thinking this step was either missed of you have a typo :
    Change the entry of .bash_profile file of the oracle user and add following lines:
    vi /home/oracle/.bash_profile
    export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/home/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/lib
    export PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$PATHIf your ORACLE_HOME is set it should find the "emca".
    You can test by running these export commands at the Linux prompt.
    The which command is your friend
    which emca

  • XML Configuration Files Batch Processing

    Greetings All,
    I have configuration file in XML as follow:
    <property>
    <name> world.wide.web.complexity.level </name>
    <value> 10 </value>
    <description> describes how complex the web is getting, see exitement for related values</description>
    </property>
    So, I would like to write a java program, that will generate several copies of the above file but with different values for one or several properties.
    I have discovered JDOM, SAX, apache configuration and so many technologies but didn't find a simple solution to this simple problem at a first pass.
    Many thanks in advance for your help

    Here is a way to set global container properties.
    You can get your container to read a properties file by modifying opmn.xml as follows:
    <process-type id="ct01" module-id="OC4J">
    <module-data>
    <category id="start-parameters">
    <data id="oc4j-options" value="-p /filepath/properties.file"/>
    These can then be read in with a System.getProperty() command.
