OC4J DTD's not online ?
I use Tibco corp's XML Authority as a general purpose editor for
XML files. By default, it validates XML documents against the
DTD's referenced in the file header.
It appears that none of the OC4J dtd's are actually accessible
on the internet. The url http://xmlns.oracle.com/ias/dtds/web-
site.dtd is not found !
Is this intentional ?
If so, please reconsider. Examination of DTD's declared as
PUBLIC often provides valuable insight into the expected syntax
rules when editing a specific instance of an XML document. It's
a major annoyance after you've become reliant on a good XML
editor !

Hi Gerry,
Yes, I also found that link to be a dud. I tried several,
different permutations on that URL but without luck. In any case
the URLs for the DTDs appear at the top of the XML file. For
example, the URL of the DTD for the file orion-application.xml
is:
http://www.orionserver.com/dtds/orion-application.dtd
Typing this URL into my web browser's address field, downloads
the DTD file -- which is a plain text file. Similarly, for all
other XML files you can obtain their corresponding DTDs.
The orion specific files are available from orion's site and the
J2EE specific DTDs (e.g. ejb-jar.xml) are available from SUN's
Website.
Hope this helps you.
Good Luck,
Avi.

[SOLVED] Login to Gnome Session fails when not online
Sry, this is weird and i don't know how to fix it. Whenever i am not online during login stage in gdm i cannot
start the Gnome Shell. I get the "Oops" Screen and need to logout. All is fine when i am Online however.
Even weirder: When i try to login for several times, usually 3-4, without being online and without restarting, gnome eventually disables all
shell extensions and is starting... BUT after a restart the same problem appears even when all user extensions are still disabled ?!
here is the output from journalctl ... has anyone, any clue ?

For days now, a "Reminder" box pops up on my screen every few minutes. It's followed by whatever the date is. It always says that a Web page cannot be opened and to try various things, even though I'm not online or trying to open any page. I can get rid of it by opening the task manager (control, alt, delete), but it comes back in a few minutes. I tried "System Restore" but that's not working, for an unrelated reason. I'd like to stop this annoying reminder. Thanks.

I don't know what I did, but Aperture no longer sees my HD as online, and I can't get my photo versions since the HD is not online. I see it in Finder and can see the original files and even copy them from Finder, but Aperture no longer recognizes the HD, and when I try to work with the picture, it doesn't let me because it says that the master is in a volume that's offline. Does someone know how to fix this?
Just to clarify:
Does Aperture not see the drive at all (that is, does Aperture also not see the drive in the import and export dialogue) or are only the Master Files disconnected?
If Aperture does not recognize the drive at all, check the permission settings of the drive in the "Get Info" panel and make sure you have read/write access, also the "Ignore ownership on this volumn" checkmark, this should be set.
If correcting the permissions does not help, make sure you have a backup, and then use "Disk Utility" to run a check and to repair the volumn, if necessary.
If Aperture can see the drive on import and export, but only does not see the master image files, then try to reconnect your masters.
Create a smart album or use a Search with the rule: "File status: offline", to select all images that need reconnecting to their masters.
Right click on the first image of the selection.
From the Pop-up window select "Locate referenced Files..."
Now the "Reconnect All" button should appear.
Click it. -
Getting authorization from a computer that is not online...
We download music from the music store for my daughter then burn it to a disk to download it to my daughter's computer. When we try to transfer the songs it says we need to an authorization for that song. Since her computer is not online how can we gain authorization for the song to be on her computer?
Thank you, M--Unfortunately, any computer that has to be authorized to use purchased music needs to be on-line. You only need to be on-line for the couple of minutes it takes to do authorization but there is no other way to get the authorization done.

"NOT Online" tagged text appearing in PDF
In my RH8 project, there are links that have the "Online" conditional build tag applied. When generating the PDF output, the "NOT Online" conditional build expression is defined. The output, however, still displays the tagged online-only links.
Hi,
Can you please let me know the exact steps because of which this issue is occuring. Also you can try the same with a dummy project and let me know your findings.

Printing pictures via bluetooth to a bluetooth printer that is not online
i was wondering if iphone will be able to send a picture or file to a bluetooth printer that is not online i'm out in the field alot and need to print pictures right there i have a bluetooth printer in my van. my old phone would send via bluetooth and i could give customer the pic at that time instead of having to bring them back to the customer. please advise
thank you
jimski3332002I suppose that would depend on the model of the printer, some print companies provide apps for wireless printing to certain models. But if the printer isn't online and you're looking for a BlueTooth only type of connection, it still may be a good idea to check out the app store to see if the makers of your particular printer have written an app making it possible for you to do so.

Acrobat 8 Pro. Cannot Scroll/Edit if not Online
PDF files get stuck if I am not online -(the rainbow goes round and round and round). I am using an iMac and MacBook Air and I need to be able to edit offline. If I am online all actions are instant.
Did I install it incorrectly?
is there a box I should tick or untick?
thanks
JoThe most effective way to handle this file is not to create a PDF, but to extract the images or save (as) the whole page as a JPeg. You can then create a simply HTML page to embed the image. When I extracted the image it was huge. For the web it is far to detailed and the resolution is too high. Thus you can probably size it down substanatially for web use using a graphics editor. If you want the individual images that you can refer too or add comments, the extract images is the way to go. Saving as a web page simply provides a container that looks similar to the current page, but you would probably still have problems with the image resolution in such a case.
If you gave more information about what you are wanting to do with the site, maybe we can suggest alternatives. In terms of using the fonts I have no clue. -
Can GPS be set to use on ipad 3 when not online?
New to ipad, can GPS be set to use when on the road , ie not online?
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
GPS only works offline when you have a Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad. If you don't have one, you will have to buy a peripheral to use GPS function and the map from the App Store, for example, from TomTom -
The cluster network name is not online
Our cluster is a four node, Windows Server 2012 failover cluster running Hyper-V role only. Today it starts throwing the error 'The cluster network name is not online'. The IP is online (and all the VMs are running) but migrations fail and any
scripts that rely on the name fail. Attempting a More Actions | Repair results in 'The action 'Repair' did not complete. Error code 0x80005000'
The AD object for the cluster still exists. We do not have a disjoint namespace.
I am at a loss and hoping for some insight from the forum.
ThanksHi BlakeDuffey,
It seems like the computer object registry keys missing, please first try to runn gpupdate /force command on all nodes and repair again, if it not work please refer the following

Dreamweaver rollover working in preview but not online
I use image swap for rollovers often. After making some changes to my friends website I noticed all the rollovers stopped working. I tried it in all browsers, I tried restoring a file from time machine, I tried it with a bunch of different images.
So I tried a very simple blank page with one image on it and "swap image" behavior applied to it. It also displays fine in the preview and not online (Dreamweaver CS5.5)

Please help, I think I'm going crazy.Nancy O. wrote:
Your file is corrupted. All line breaks have been stripped clean out of your code. Scripts cannot work this way.
Try using a different FTP client like Filezilla to upload your pages.
Also check the Line Break type in your Preferences. See screenshot.
Hit OK.

Possibility #2 (and I've done this countless times) is that somewhere along the way in editing, someone inadvertently removed line breaks using the "Find and Replace" feature while cleaning up other code and applied it to more than necessary places.. If that's the case, replace the scripts with redownloaded (or in this case reinstalled) originals. I've broken some really cool scripts this way and I spend a few hours kicking myself in the backside for it, but I always keep a backup of my scripts for when I forget and do it again.
Nancy's right, though Filezilla is a good solution, but if the pages are corrupted, it will load them as they are, and the problem will persist. -
Contacts Disappear If They Are Not Online
I posted this once, but I do not think it went through. If there is two, however, then I apologize.
-Original Message-
Hello,
I have been having this problem where my contacts that are not online, away, or in 'do not disturb' modes disappear from my contact list. My sister has a similar computer to mine and uses Skype frequenrtly, but her contacts all appear. This is getting annoying for me. The problem started after I downloaded an update two updates ago. I run Windows 7 and have tried playing with the contact settings and they still won't appear. Help, please! Thank you.
Solved!

Hi,
Is there any way I can get around this problem (see notes below)?
Here is the problem I am having:
Type: Dataset copy
Status: Failed
Description: DPM could not reserve the drive resource because one of required drive resources is not online or it needs cleaning or servicing. (ID 24052)
Here is why it is happening (Background)
Supported and unsupported scenarios in DPM
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn554221.aspx
Multiple long-term tape goals that use dataset-copy jobs fail if you only have a single tape drive
Issue: DPM doesn’t support multiple long-term backup goals if you only have a single tape drive.
Workaround: Add a second tape drive to DPM or to the tape library.
Notes:
I have verified that the option for the number of tape copies is not greater than 1 for any protection goal in any of the 3 protection groups.
I do have multiple long-term backup goals, and I only have a single tape drive. I don’t want to add a second tape drive to DPM or to the tape library. I think this is a ridiculous solution. I was thinking of creating two types of backup
jobs for ones for short term backups and for one larger job long term backups (weekly and monthly).
The tape backups complete, just the "Dataset copy" doesn't happen.
Environment:
Windows Server 2012
SCDPM 2012 R2
Tape backup library, with one drive.Hi,
I understand your frustration but unfortunately there is no workaround for this issue. I have brought this issue up with the product group for consideration for future enhancement.

Alert : Logical Disk is not online
Hello,
On 2 of our Red Hat Linux systems(5.10 and 5.11) with the SCOM client install we are getting the error "Alert : Logical Disk is not online", although disk and Logical Volumes seem to be in good statuses and everything in /etc/fstab
is mounted. For the source it is giving something like this: /tmp/HOSTNAME-20140918_092643/data which doesn't even exist on the servers.
This is the error I see in /var/opt/microsoft/scx/log/scx.log.
2014-10-21T23:55:42,935Z Error [scx.core.common.pal.system.disk.statisticallogicaldiskinstance:223:6731:47407558268688] statvfs() failed for /tmp/HOSTNAME-20140923_083643/data; errno = 2
Both servers have this version of the client: Version: 1.5.1-112 (Labeled_Build - 20140321L)
Has anyone seen this before, and if so can you offer any assistance?
Thanks,
Chris.Hi Chris,
This is a pretty tricky one - I've never heard or seen anything like this before.
Going out on a limb here: Is it possible that, at one time, you configured a memory-resident drive that resided on /tmp? If you configured that at one time, but then abandoned it but didn't remove all the links to it in /dev/disk or something like that,
I could see how we could pick that up and get confused by it.
If that's not it, then you did mention that only two of your Red Hat systems suffer from this. What's different between these two systems and other Red Hat systems that you may have?
If none of the above is useful, then this should probably be escalated to Microsoft Support. They can engage, look at your machine, and collect information for us (in engineering) to diagnose this.
Thanks,
/Jeff

Oracle 6i designer repository in a 10g database
Hi All, Is there anyone who has the 6i repository in a 10g database? On Metalink Certification, it lists 10.1.0.3 as desupported. But that's probably because the designer tool is no longer certified... Can anyone comment? Thanks.
