actually sysman account was locked (Timed). in 10.2.0.1 and in later version as well if you try to establish a connection and hit many times then sysman account locked. after changing password and unlocking account problem solved.

Hi,
I have set an Application level item. I have tried to assign it as a default value on a Page Item but nothing is being shown.
Application Level Item: APP_USER_ID
On New Instance computation:
select user_id
from isp_user
where login_id=:APP_USER
Page Item: P57_CREATED_BY
Default Value: &APP_USER_ID.
Default Type: Static Text with Session State Substitutions
No value is displayed, but if I replace &APP_USER_ID. with &APP_USER a value is displayed.

OK, I've simplified the scenario to avoid any confusion. I'll give you a step by step of what I think you are telling me and see how we go. Believe I feel like I've tried everything...sure it's just my inexperience with the tool.
Via Shared Components/Items created....
Application Level Item: APP_USER_ID
On Page 57 of my Application I created a Before Header computation:
Item Name: APP_USER_ID
Type: SQL Query
Computation Point: Before Header
Computation: select 21 from dual
I assigned this to be the default value for a database field on Page 57, defined as follows:
Page Item: P57_CREATED_BY
Display As: Text Field
Source Used: Always,replacing any existing value in session state
Source Type: Database Column
Default Value: &APP_USER_ID.
Default Value Type: Static Text with Session State Substitutions
I logged out and logged back in. I checked Session State and saw that the APP_USER_ID Application Item exists but has not value.
I navigated to Page 57... no value is displayed in the P57_CREATED_BY field... If I review the Session State I can see that APP_USER_ID Application Item has a value of 21.
Changing &APP_USER_ID. to &APP_USER. displays a value which seems to indicate it is not an issue with the field definition.
Hope that is a little clearer.

How can I access applications if the wireless mouse does NOT work?

I have a new iMac (Snow Leopard) which comes with a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse. Just in case that the wireless mouse does not work, how can I navigate through applications and the screen?

Great, it works.
Let me replicate:
Shift-Command-A (on the Desktop, (but how to get there?) to open Apps, e.g System Preferences;
Arrow keys to navigate within Apps;
Command-down arrow to open a specific app;
Arrows to move around, e.g. to Magic Mouse
Space to open Magic Mouse;
Tab to move between options and arrows to change these; and Tab back to the back icon.

HT1430 cannot slide to turn off.. can't access applications

I was charging my phone until it became full,, but after that I tried to open my messages but unfortunately, I cannot slide off to open!
It doesnt even turn off when i click the power off button. In the mean time, I'm assisted by Siri in opening applications, I'm trying to drain my phone now to wait until it comes back to normal,. what could be the problem and what should be the best solution for this? Im using this iphone 4s for 2 years and it's out of warranty., Pls. help.

Non-admin accounts can't access applications

We have a computer lab with 20 iMacs running 10.6.4. We have an admin account, a monitor account, an instructor account and a guest account. The guest account can't run Adobe Acrobat - app comes up and asks for admin login and password. Guest account CAN run other apps like Photoshop and Illus.
The same thing happens with no apparent pattern when logged into instructor and monitor account - sometimes an app will open (this varies from app to app), other times it will ask for admin login and password.
Have searched forums, tried keychain access fix (doesn't seem to be it) have tried to change permissions on app for guest account to read&write on app, even tried using parental controls to "override" permissions on apps.
Any ideas?

I have a new iPhone 3G S and it has seemed to be working fine until now. i will try to go into an application and the loading screen will come up but then a couple of seconds later it will exit to the home page. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I'm having the same issue. I have a new Iphone, i've installed a couple pages of apps directly from itunes on my phone. Last night was the first time I synced my iphone with my computer. My apps never showed up in my library but the phone was still working fine last night and this morning. Now, i'm having the same issue, the apps will begin to load but a sec or two later the screen jumps back to the home screen? i've reset it twice with no luck. Any suggestions??

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Application no longer assignable to a desktop in Spaces. Useable only in full screen, can't access it when not in full screen.

This is a repost to correctly ID this as a Spaces issue. I am using a MacBook Pro with a second monitor in extended desktop. I put iMovie in full screen and when I put it back, it disappeared off of both desktops. I can see it in Spaces and I can use it in full screen. However, it is not available when not in full screen. When I drag and drop it in Spaces to a desktop, it animates off of the top of the screen versus landing on that desktop. I have tried to change the application assignment by right clicking on the iMovie Icon > Options > Assign To, but it affects nothing. I have rebooted both with the external monitor and without, I have uninstalled and reinstalled iMovie and I have tried many combinations of screen resolutions and it is still assigned somewhere other than a desktop. It appears to no longer be associated with or assignable to a desktop. Anyone have any ideas?

Can you access iMovie without being in fullscreen when you do not have an external monitor connected? I cannot. No matter the monitor configuration, it is only accessible in full screen for me.

How can we access workflow status column out of the box (OOTB).

I have a problem that few of the workflows in production are failed at last stage have status set to "Workflow Errored". Someway I have fixed issue with workflow but I need to modify this status.
I tried adding a custom column and access workflow status column so that I can modify custom column as I want, and show this in views.
But I can't access this without using code, anybody has any idea?
My task is to modify workflow status which are errored out.

You can rerun the workflow once you've fixed it up. This'll change the status to something more successful.

Go into Time Machine (the program not the bundle on the extrnal disk) and using Time Machine's browser go to the Folder where the library lives. You could look in the library bundle in Time Machine but that won't really tell you much,
If you want to make sure it truely has backed up your library you will need to restore it and open the restored library with Aperture.
If all this still has you confused you need to read up on Time Machine in order to get a feel for how it works, for what it is doing and for how to restore files from it.

Can't Access Aperture Photos from Other Applications

I am using the trial version of Aperture. I can't access the photos in Aperture from Photoshop, Word or any other application (except Mail). I can see the icon for Aperture and the words "Aperture 3 Trial Library" but it is grayed out. Is there a setting or what? I have Snow Leopard and Mac OS X 10.6.5.

I guess one thing that bothers me about all my pictures being "bundled" in iPhoto or Aperture is that they don't show up in the Finder.
This is a real non-issue. A Package is simply a folder that looks like a file. Want to look inside? Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library or the Aperture Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
See? There are all your files, in folders.
Why are they Packaged? Because if you move, rename, or alter them then you will corrupt your Library. So it's a simple protection for the structure of the Library. That's all. No big secret.
But there are other things you need to consider too.
Supposing you want to attach a file to an Email in Aperture. Presumably you want to send the edited file of your photo. So, how do you do that +when there is no edited file+? Aperture doesn't actually edit the file at all it simply records the decisions you have taken and shows them to live when you view the pic. All your edits are "virtual". So, the fact that your original files are stored out the the package will be no help to you at all.
iPhoto is pretty much the same - though the details are different.
So, you have to use the applications when you want to access the files for whatever reason - editing, printing, sharing, whatever. That's the point of these apps. They are your Photo Manager, what AddressBook is to your Contacts, iTunes is to your Music and so on.
Here's a macro I use for when these questions come up on the iPhoto Forum. Most - if not all - of these will also work for Aperture:
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
*File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. This produces, producing a copy.

EMAIL APPLICATION QUITS ON LAUNCH AND CAN'T ACCESS MY EMAILS

I'm Sp from India, I'm using my iPhone 5 for regular Business use as well for personal use too. My Iphone Version is 8.1.3 (12B466) and Model MD300HN/A with storage capacity of 32 GB where 8.64 Gb is FREE. I'm always connected with Wi-Fi / Data Plan, I was able to use all my personal as well Business Email Accounts properly on my iPhone 5 but since few days, I'm not able to use it cause it Quits on launch of mail Application (as default App) along with Phone & Safari & Music. I tried to check my all email set up in Setting and also counter check on Laptop (windows 7) and all are OK and working properly but still not able to use it.
I tried all troubleshoots except deleting all my email ids.
Please guide, how can i access my emails on iPhone 5 now,

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Delete and re-add the accounts.
