Oc4j_extended.zip for jdev 10.1.2.0.2 standalone

Pls some one give me the path for the download

It's a bit convoluted, especially since the 10.1.2.0.2 is no longer considered 'current', being the Java 1.3 implementation. Here are the self-help steps:
I would start a http://download.oracle.com
Given that oc4j_extended is the Application Server Container, I would click on the "Application Server Containers for J2EE" link
I would then look for 10.1.2.0.2 on the page (at the bottom), click on the link, and read and accept the agreements on the resulting page
About 1/3 down the page, at "Containers for J2EE" I would clikc in 'Pure Java' link.
Accept the license agreement and click on "Oracle Containers for J2EE 10g (OC4J) (build #050812, 36,906,896 bytes) - J2EE 1.3 compatible"

  • Where to download the webcentertutorialcontent.zip file for JDev 10.1.3.x?

A quick question for the download location of the webcentertutorialcontent.zip file for version 10g (10.1.3.2 or later).
I am going through the Oracle WebCenter Framework Tutorial 10g (10.1.3.2.0) (document id B31072-02) to gain an understanding of the working mechanism of portlets. The tutorial requires the use of the webcentertutorialcontent.zip file to set up the sample application, and points to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/webcenter/files/webcentertutorialcontent.zip for downloading the file.
But that page has been updated to 11g. I was able to find the archived old versions of webcenter, but not that zip file.
It would very much appreciated if someone knows and let me know where it is.
    Many thanks!
    Newman

On this page: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/documentation/index.html you have a list of all files.
At the bottom in the Oracle WebCenter 10g (10.1.3.x) section you have a part: Building a WebCenter Application Step by Step Guide with a link to the supported files: http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/files/SRDemo_App_Download.zip
This is from the 10g version...
You are right that 11g applications does not run on a 10g app server. Oracle 11g fusion middelware uses weblogic as an application server. This does not use the OC4J container anymore.
11g and 10g have a different licence so if you are using 10g and you want to use 11g, you need to buy a licence for weblogic and so on.
If you are currently looking into the use of webcenter/portlets and you are planning to use it later on, than oracle will propose 11g because i don't think 10g is supported... I don't think you can buy a webcenter 10g license..
By the way... You can install jdeveloper 11g in a sepperate middelware folder than your 10g version. This means that you easily can use them together. If you are planning on using webcenter, the best thing to do is install jdeveloper 11.1.1.3 (latest stable version) and install the webcenter extension. This allow you to easily create portlet producers and webcenter applications. You can easily deploy them on the integrated server. This is a lot easier than in the 10g release.

  • Oc4j_extended.zip file (location)

    Hi
I have been searching for over an hour on this otn website for the oc4j_extended.zip file so that I can carry out an oc4j standalone installation. Can somebody please point me directly to the file?
    Thanks

Sorry to hear that you have such a problem.
The download file is very easy to find:
    Go to
    1) http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/htdocs/devlic.html?/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/utilsoft.html#1012
    or
    2) http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/index.html and then click on the download link on the right-hand side.

  • RELNOTES for JDev 3.1.1.2??

Are there updated release notes for JDev 3.1.1.2? I'd like to see them before downloading all 214 Mb.

I've deployed the JDeveloper 3.1 web application to iPlanet Fast Track Web Server. Worked fine - unlike OAS 4 ;-).
Steps are basically the same as the steps required to deploy to Tomcat. In fact I deployed to Tomcat first and then when I got my classpath right I deployed to iPlanet. Tomcat seemed more low-tech and easier to troubleshoot.
The most important is to get all necessary stuff on the CLASSPATH. As far as I remember the following process should work:
    - remove all unnecessary libraries from your project (if it compiles w/o library then you probably don't need it),
    - write down all the jar/zip files your libraries are comprised of (you can see it by clicking Edit on the given library in the Libraries window )
    - copy all this jars/zips to your favourite place
    - put the list of all this jars/zip to the iPlanet classpath - you can do it through web interface to iPlanet web server.
    - move all your JSPs with the folder structure to the "document root" directory of the iPlanet WS
It should work now, if it doesn't you are very close to getting it work :-).
    Good luck,
    /Michael

  • Cannot install updates for JDev 10.1.3.0.4

    Hello,
I'm not able to install the updates for Jdev 10.1.3.0.4. There are 17 updates which are not able to install in the system.
Some of the updates gets installed, but when the Jdev is restarted, the updates still show up in the window.
When I tried to install some other updates, I get a connection error.
I'm inside the oracle network and installed some of the updates in the list.
Any help will be appreciated regarding this issue.
    Thanks in advance

Hello, thanks for the URL for the extension page, however, that lasts for so long. I have the same issue as the rsubers, in that the update dialog is not working. I had to go directly to the URL provided and then use the dialog to point directly at the file. There is an Update 3 that isn't out on the extensions page, so I can't use that work around.
    1. How do I get to Update 3
    2. How do I fix this Update tool

  • VSS extension for JDev 10.1.3.3

    Hi,
I am a BPEL developer and have tried install/configure VSS ext for JDev. (Help --> Check for updates --> Source Safe ext).
But it seems to be supporting a limited operations only. Like there is no recursive check in/out etc. It adds only the .jpr file each time and we have to manually create folders and then add files.
Have anyone played around this before? Any docs/ref ? Your inputs are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    AP

If you are talking about this extension:
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jdev-vss-ext
Then this one is an open source one which you can take and add functionality to.
The above URL has links to a how-to and contact for the creator.

  • ER: HTML Applet tag syntax warning - or HTML syntax checker for JDEV.

    Hi,
I just spent ages (an hour or two) debugging an applet and it turned out that I had left a comma "," out of my 'archive=..' parameter of the 'applet' tag in the HTML :-(.
E.g. I had <applet code="x" archive="a.jar b.jar, c.jar, d.jar"> and IE simply didn't load 'b.jar' so I got the usual 'class not found' exception. After signing every jar and putting every jar in every directory I finally noticed the commas between some of the jars.
I can understand IE not helping me load an Applet since, from MS's point of view, that is evil Java code, but JDev must know the syntax of a HTML applet tag too so it could highlight the error for me.
Alternatively does anyone know of a HTML checker plugin for JDEV?
    Regards,
    Simon.

I've been looking around for a HTML syntax checker and there are plenty around - just google "html validation". None so far have picked up the missing comma in my busted applet tag. I guess with a missing comma it just looks like a file name with a space in it anyway.
I still think JDeveloper could flag semantic errors like this at development time.
    Cheers,
    Simon.

  • Bug fix list for JDev 10.1.2

I would like to know if exists any bug fix list for JDev 10.1.2, and where I can find it, if exists.
    Thanks in advanced.

Hi Shay, of cours Chris is right. The main reasons for this is
    1. We need to convince our management to invest in the efforts to update to a new version, find workarounds for new bugs, make complete tests of our product, update the installed base, ....
    2. We need to check if there are any unknown but critical fixed and we need to update our installed base.
    3. We need to decide how fast we need to update installed base.
    4. If there are 998 IDE bugs fixed and only one BC4J and one UIX bug, i think we will wait for the 10g final release...
Like most engineering teams in the world we have to fight with limited resources, so there is no chance to spend much time without a real need.
    Thanks, Markus
Btw. Even for the Oracle Database release there is always a list of fixed bugs. And this list also most often really scares me.

  • WHICH SOAP CLIENT STACK FOR  JDEV 10.1.3 WEBPROXY ?

    Hello everybody,
I just succeeded in calling webservice stubs, created in Jdeveloper 10.1.2., from a oracle10G (R2) DB. This works perfectly...
Now i'm trying to deploy the same webservice from Jdeveloper 10.1.3 into the same database. I generated a proxy (whereas in Jdeveloper 10.1.2 you create a stub) and deployed a static method from the client class, in the proxy, into the DB (similar to the approach in Jdeveloper 10.1.2). However this doesn't work. I get a big list of error messages containing all reference errors. My guess is that the soap client stack, loaded into Oracle, is different for both versions of Jdeveloper. In that case i'm still working with the stack for jdev 10.1.2 where I should be working with the stack form jdev10.1.3.
Can anyone please tell me what .JAR's I have to load in the DB to get the proper stack needed for calling 10.1.3 proxys (or stub as you will)?
    Many thx in advance!!!!
    Grtz,
    Kim

I found out that Jdeveloper 10.1.3 works with JAX-RPC webservices. So instead of installing the SOAP client stack one should install the JAX-RPC stack in the database. this stack is found on the oracle site ( search for call-out utilities).
Hope this helps people with the same problem!

With the production release of JDev 10.1.3 is there a working version of the PDK.

    Hi All!
I found this rather old post here on JDev forum but i have the same doubt: are there any plans for a PDK Extension release for JDev 10.1.3? If so, is it being built around ADF Faces/BC4J Stack?
