OCA Next Level Certification.

Hi,
This is Udhayakumar, i have completed 1Z0-007-ENU: Introduction to Oracle9i: SQL alone. Now i would like to continue further level in this certification, so i need know the following clarifications:
1. What are the next levels after this to complete OCA Certification.
2. Can i able to upgrade from 9i to 10 or 11g.
3. If upgrade is possible what are all next i able to take the next level from now onwards because i have done the earlier paper on the year 2010.
4. If possible, what are all the steps i have to take to complete.
Finally, Can anyone explains me the route to travel the Oracle Certifcation like papers or levels in OCA/OCP/OCM which will help me a lot to do further levels.

1. What are the next levels after this to complete OCA Certification.There are two OCA certifications that 1Z0-007 is part of, the DBA Track or the Developer track. Your thread doesn't indicate which you are interested in. Since you are asking about OCM, you are probably talking about the DBA track. The next test in the DBA Track is:
*1Z0-052 -- Oracle Database 11g: Administration I*
The next test in the Developer track is either:
*1Z0-144 -- Oracle Database 11g: Program with PL/SQL*
or
*1Z0-147 -- Program with PL/SQL*

2. Can i able to upgrade from 9i to 10 or 11g.

They periodically upgrade the test to make it more appropriate to new features in later releases, but you need tot re-take the tests.
4. If possible, what are all the steps i have to take to complete.Assuming we're talking about the OCA certification, you need to take and pass one of the tests mentioned in my answer to 1. There is no other requirement or step (beyond studying for the test).
5. Can anyone explains me the route to travel the Oracle Certifcation like papers or levels in OCA/OCP/OCM which will help me a lot to do further levels.That is too broad to answer in a forum posting. You can find a great deal of information at http://certification.oracle.com

Error While Promoting the Numbers to Next Level

We have hierarchy defined for entities in Hyperion and are using Phased submissions under Process control . We have all the immediate child entities at 'SUBMITTED' phase but when we are promoting the Parent entity to 'SUBMITTED' phase we are getting following error
"Cannot promote a process unit to a level higher than any of its direct dependents."
I know that a parent can be promoted only to a level that is less than or equal to the lowest level of its immediate children.
However we have few of the Entities which are at "NO ACCESS" stage or "Not Started" stage so if this affecting the Parent from promoting to next stage. But these entities are not started only and the Parent Entity has already been promoted from Not Started to "First Pass" stage that point of time no error crept in.
Please let me know the probable cause of the error.

I am a learner.
As per my Knowledge.
When we have issues about Phased Submission- Process Control there are certain things which are worth making note of.
1. Validation Accounts ,which might be preventing you from Promoting the Phase to the next level.
2.And Before promoting the submission group to the Next Phase, make sure all your child members have passed all the review levels to be promoted to next level

Task not forwarded to the next level

Dear All ,
I am having an issue in SRM Shopping Cart approval workflow. The scenario is that the SC has to be approved at 3 levels and after getting approved at the first level the task does not get forwarded to the next level and its unable to fetch any , whereas there are users mainateined and i can see the approvers being fetched when I tried executing the BADI ( BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI),unfortunately this is the isolated case as its working fine for all others. I guess this rules out oll other poosiblities of agent determination logic, task's agent assignment, swu_obuf , or swi1_rule. I am sure something is wrong with the user attributes but not able to zero to the root cause. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Also, if you can replicate it on the dev environment.Change the WF-BATCH user temporary to dialog and place an external break-point in the badi implementation for WF-BATCH user.
Now create a shopping cart and check in debugging what causes it to not retrieve agents.

I have Garageband version 4.1.2 (248.7) installed on my early 2008 IMAC Version 10.5.8. I have never upgraded but have a LOT of projects. If I upgrade my operating system to the next level (10.6?), will my GB version still work? Do I need to upgrade GB?

my copy of 4.1.2 appears to work under 10.6.8, though i have not done extensive tests

For Professional level certification aspirants in SAP Controlling module

Dear all Professional level Certification aspirants in SAP CO module,
I have recently passed the Certification test on SAP Management Accounting (CO) module in version ERP 6.0 EHP4. I have more than 4 years experience in SAP Controlling module.The following are some of my suggestions regarding preparation for the exam.
1. All the questions were scenario based. The exam tests expert level knowledge and real time scenarios in the module. The theoritical knowledge is not sufficient to clear the exam. Unless you have atleast 5 to 6 implementations in Controlling module, it is not advisable to give it a try.
2. Detailed knowledge of the system configuration settings about the various courses mentioned in the syllabus is required. One needs a clear understanding of Special costing functions, ERP integration, Transfer Pricing, Material ledger, New GL Parallel valuation, Planning and Budgeting fuctions in various components etc.
3. The exam tests in-depth knowledge about various integration aspects of Controlling module with other modules. The advanced master data functionalities of other logistical modules like MM, SD, PP, PM, QM, PS, CS, HCM is tested in detail.
4. Several methods of process and performance optimization of the system are also tested.
3. Some reporting aspects of BW and BI are also tested. The cross application aspects of the system are also tested.
4. The exam also tests the real time skills in preparing Blueprints, Business Process design and trouble shooting the system. Being knowledgeable about some of the processing errors and message classes will be of great help.

the pass mark for the exam is 58%. However it may be different. The passing mark shown on your screen on the day will be the correct passing mark.
All the questions were scenario based which would involve high analytical skills and through understanding of the system integration. It would be difficult to tell any specific question. The questions carry different weightage. If you answer the questions with less weightage correctly than the questions with more weightage, you end up scoring less though you answer more number of questions correctly. and it is vice versa. Go through your syllabus and cources and try to concentrate on the topic areas which contain more weightage.
Moreover, the exam is not completely technical in nature. It tests a lot of analytical and problem solving skills required on the job.
Note:Please do not ask the questions or contents of the exam as they are confidential.

This exam is based on the course so it should not be too hard and you only have to score 55% to pass it as it is an associate level and not professional level (70%).

While drilling down, is it possible to see the next level for all Level 1 values instead of just the value this is clicked?
Is there a feature that we can enable or achieve this differently?

How to Skip agent to next level?

Hi All,
I am stuck in workflow. need to skip agent to next level so that other person can able approve the order.
We have created order type ZXXX for Credit memo req AMR 6XXXXXX8. In Netweaver it is assigned to ABC USER. It is not his area. I think he forgot to cancel assignment. Now he is on vacation for two weeks.
Urgently we need to skip him and assign to some other user , how can we do this in workflow.

Hi Subhanshu,
As told by Bikas you can forward work item through SWIA if you want to forward it to person whose id is different than the id through which you are forwarding. In case you need to forward it same id through which you have log in , you can make use of FM SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM just pass workitem id to be forwarded in work item id and and user id in user id.

Terrible Customer support, I upgraded my account they took the money and nothing works. I have done chat support and was told they were levating to the next level of support and have heard nothing. I have been on hold on the phone for over an hour.

I upgraded my account yesterday. They charged my card and nothing works, I was on with online chat support for a hour last night. I was told they were levating my support to the next level. Never heard back from anyone I have been on hold for over an hour on phone support.
This is really awefull way to treat your customers.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Workflow not move to next level approver...

Hi Friends,
                       I have developed workflow for appraisal. Employee enter his appraisal ratings and submit and then first,second,third level approvers enter their ratings one after another submit.
                        whenever one level approver submit,i have updated th status in our customized table and pass the status to workflow method through Set Parameter command. For example ,when employee enter his rating and once submit, i have update the status field in table with value 'Pending with First Approver' and pass the status 'pending with first approver' through Set Parameter command to workflow method. In workflow methods , I receive status value using Get Parameter command and based on tht value respective workflow item will moved to inbox of First level approver.
                  Its working fine. But SOME TIMES status updated in table properly and workflow item keep retain in same level inbox even after submit successfully,instead of move to next level approer.
                  For example, once employee submit his appraisal rating,status 'pending with first level approver' updated in table properly. But workflow item still keep retain in employee inbox only and first level approver do not receive workflow item in his inbox. I tried to refresh that variable which i used in set parameter/get parameter command . but same proble continue.Could you please suggest me what will be reason for this issue?. Thank you.

                       Thanks for your response. I am using Z table for reporting purpose. In Z table I update status like 'pending with employee','pending with first approver',etc. If the end users wants to know the status of apprisal for a particular employee,they can use this report and react according to the updated status.
                                           I have mentioned in this thread about both this Z table update and pass status using set parameter id, because both these statment executed after employee or approvers submit. But Z table updated successfully and set parameter not passed successfully.
                     In my workflow I am using Loop step and this loop will continue to run till the status become 'Completed'. when third level approver submit his appraisal details that time i pass the status 'Completed' to complete the workflow .For employee,first and second level approvers I pass the status like 'Pending with Employee','Pending with First','Pending with Second'.
                   Whenever I pass the status to workflow,using Function Module i find the next level approver based on the status. For example If the status is 'Pending with First' then in the function module I find the first level approver and pass his UserId as current agent name. Whenever this issue happen I debug and check the current agent id . But it shows only Employee ID.If the status 'Pending with First' passed to workflow properly then FM could have pass the First level approver ID. But since current agent id shows Employee Id, workflow keep exist in Employee inbox ,even after he submit successfully.
                     If 10 employees submit his apprisal ratings,for one or two employees this issue happen and for rest of the emplyess workflow completed successfully with all approvers submissions. Any suggestions?.

The next level manager is unable to view or access appraisal forms for all

I am facing an issue where in the next level manager is not able to see the appraisal docs of employees.
Follwing is the link that we found on SDN related to the same issue-

During the PM testing, an issue was discovered with the existing logic of the Default Next Level Manager BADI.
When a manager manually reports to a NL managers organization unit, the next level manager is unable to view or access appraisal forms for all the employees who report to the manager.
For example,
NL Manager/Cheif: Susan
Manager/Chief: John
Employees: Mary and Matt
If Johns position (manager/chief) has a A 999 Reports to dotted line relationship to Susans organization unit (NL Manager), then Susan is unable to access, approve or reject the appraisal forms for Mary and Matt (Johns direct reports).
The relationship type is A 999 Reports to dotted line
Type of related object O (Organizational Unit)
We need to update the BADI in order for the next level manager to be able to access appraisal forms as described in the example above.
BADI implementation Name : Z_HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DO
Method - IF_EX_HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DO~DEFAULT_OTHERS
Now we are facing the following issue-
After identification of the employees who report to the managers organizational unit using the A 003 Belongs to relationship we are not sure how to pass these employees information from BADI to appraisal form, so that the previously identified Next Level Manager will be able to access, accept and reject appraisal forms for these employees.
For further details please refer the thread. I was not able to understand how this can be achieved.
Can anyone please mention in brief how I should be able to do this. I am new to this and I would appreciate any help .

There are no Function Modules to my knowledge. Pls try the transaction S_AHR_61016530 which would display the User's approvers as per hierarchy. This would bring datas from the HR tables. If this helps pls award points.

Requestes are not forwarded to next level after approval

we have modified a user name in apps after that what ever that particular user has approved is not going to next level. Is it not recommended to update a user name?

I am running AE 5.2 but do not use the "forward" feature. For request that require "role approvers" I have set up a seperate initiaor that includes the additional Stage for Role approval.
I have initiators for 1) New User w/ no role approval 2) New User w/ role approval 3) Change User w/ no role approval 4) Change User w/ no role approval
My "no role approvals" go through three stages 1) security initial review 2) Internal Control review 3) Final security provisioning; my "role approvals" go through four stages 1) security initial review 2) Role Approval Stage 3) Internal Control review 3) Final security provisioning
If a request has roles that require approval and some that do not, the request will take the two seperate paths based on the roles defined for each; the provisoning will complete once both paths have completed all stages
This allows us to treat the role approval just like any stage with assigned approvers and if multiple approvers allow for any one approver to complete the stage
This is different from your approach of forwarding for role approval; I define the roles to the initialtors that require role approval, but gives you another perspective of doing it

The Oracle Certification Program site should answer your questions.
Assuming you are trying to get certified on the DBA track (there are many different certification tracks, I'm assuming when you say 11g that you mean to indicate that you're interested in the DBA track), you can see the progression of the exams and the options you have on this page.
