OCA: Which exam first - SQL or OCA

I want to get certified on Oracle 10G OCA. Will I be allowed to take the OCA exam first and then the SQL exam?

Yes you can take them in any order. Administration followed by SQL is perfectly fine. I suppose people just suggest the other way around as it gives you more time to decide between 10g and 11g but if you've decided then go for it.

How to create a report region which the first colomn is row selector column

I want to create a report region and its first column is a row selector column. I have used select sentence to select some columns. But I do not know how set the first column to row selector column. I mean I want to do as follow. When a radio which is first column is chosen, it will return it's value of the column in the chosen row. Please help me! Thanks

Suppose you have an id that identifies your record.
Go to Report definiton, tab report attirbutes.
Select the id of your record.
Create a link to the page you want to go to.
Hope this helps.
If not, I suggest you to create a from with report, and analyze the way the wizard has generated it.

I am in process of converting SQL 2000 database to Oracle 9i. OMWB has commented "Fetch First" as
/*[SPCONV-ERR(60)] FETCH FIRST is not supported in Oracle. */.
Is there any work around for FETCH FIRST ( SQL 2000) in PL/SQL?

Fetch First returns the first row of a query.
The options in Oracle are either to close and reopen the cursor, or download (cache) the cursor fetches into, for example, a PLSQL structure sych as an PLSQL collections (Index-by tables, Nested tables or Varrays), to be accessed later in any order that is required.

As of right this very second, SQL Server 2014 is not supported. SharePoint 2013 supports:
One of the following:
The 64-bit edition of Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
The 64-bit edition of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1
Hardware and software requirements for SharePoint 2013
Edit: I may be mistaken. It looks like the April 2014 CU adds support for SQL Server 2014. If this is the case generally going with the latest SQL Edition provides you with the latest SQL functionality. I'm not aware of any SharePoint features that would
make use of functionality that is new to SQL Server 2014 but this could change with a future service pack.

Any SQL*Plus of 8i can connect to 8i Database.
Only SQL*Plus of 9.0.1 can connect to 8.1.7 and 8.1.6 Database
Only SQL*Plus of 10.1.0/10.2.0 can connect to 8.1.7 Database
Absolutely NO SQL*Plus of 11g can connect 8i databases

Updating Oracle Certification, which exam I should pass?

Hello, everyone, please can anybody advice me, regarding question in topic. My Solaris Administrator Certificate will expire in June, and Solaris Network Specialist in July, earlier in Sun there was one exam, for updating current certification. But now we have Solaris 11, which exam I can pass for updating my Solaris certification. Can I pass Solaris 11 exam, for example "transition to Solaris 11" for updating my certification.

Certifications do not expire, but we do recommend that you keep your certifications up-to-date. Exam 1Z0-820 will upgrade your certification to Solaris 11 (training not required, but recommended). There is not an 11 version of the Network Admin at this time, but your current certification will not expire.

What kind of investigation is this ?
You should be able to see this by querying V$SQL view and ordering by LAST_ACTIVE_DATE column provided:
* it is not aged out and
* it was not re-used

ISE - Which is first, profiling or posturing?

I am wondering, if both profiling and posturing is enabled on ISE, which happens first? My guess is profiling, but I could not find any Cisco document that says how this works?
Also, one more question, during client provisioning, the ISE must know the OS of the client, so that I can download the appropriate agents. So, how does ISE learn about the OS of the client? I don't think RADIUS passes this info.
Any clarification on this would be appreciated and must be pretty basic. But I am unable to find any document to prove this.

Profiling can be done based on multipe factors, easiest way is to read user agent when user connects to a portal :-)
There are also configurable actions on ISE:
What kind of scenario are you thinking about to evaluate which is done before?
Although from logic point of view, it might make sense to evaluate what you're dealing with (profiling) before you decide whether's it's fit to access your network (posture assessment). :-)

Run second sql statement only if first sql statement is null.

Hey guys I seem to have a mental block here. I have two sql statements. I would like the second to run only if the first sql statement is null.I know i can potentially use PLsql but would really like to see if i can do this with straight up sql. Your responses are very very appreciated.

1. Where to run auto config first DB node or Apps node,
and Why (which ever is the first node),
2. if multiple Application nodes then on which node first,
3. both cases like noshared application file system and shared application system
can i run auto config on second node while applications services running on first (application) node
4. Can i have shared appl_top (not shared application file system) like in 11i in R12

The target first.sql cannot be started because it is not a runnable target.

I have a simple sql statement to create a database.when i try to execute the same i face the error " The target first.sql cannot be started since it is not a runnable target".Let me know if anybody could help me out.

I'd like to connect to an existing MS Access database for a college class I'm in, or create a new Database to build one from scratch.
I've set up the "New Database Connection" dialog with defaults to all entry fields, and tried with and without the Connection Name as "Database."
When I "test" it, I get this message :
"The network Adapter could not make the connection"

Can somebody help in understand which column first filter by oracle optimizer in below example and why?

Look at the EXPLAIN PLAN.
Other things being equal, if there are more distinct values of ename than of sal, then it's probably checking for 'FORD' first.
For example, say the table has 100,000 rows, and there are 10,000 distinct enames, and 100 distinct sals, both ename and sal are indexed, but there is no combined index.
If you search by sal first, that means you'll expect around 1,000 rows from the index search, and then you'll have to test each of those 1,000 rows for the right ename.
If you search by ename, first, that means you'll expect around 10 rows from the index search, and you'll only have to test each of those 10 rows for the right sal.
The order in which the conditions were written will matter.
