Occasional bold message appears on my Txt message.

I receved a bold text message from another imessage user today, iwas wondering how i can do this also and send a BOLD message also. I also receved a regular txt message form starbucks in Bold also. These are the only 2 messages that have shown up that have been bold on my text messages. How can i use this feature also? I have the latest versoon of IOS7
Here are 2 examples of what i was talking about.

icloud storage and device storage are very different.
go to
settings>General>usage
you can then  see the two seperate entries.
icloud storage is for backup of settings and such, device storage is for apps, music, books and such.
you cannot load more onto the device if it is out of space.

I am running cs4 suite in Mountain Lion and when I make PDF's, Helvetica Neue regular and bold both appear as squares. Any ideas on how to fix this??

Firstly you have to be very careful as these fonts are system fonts and are critical to the operating system.
I'm no expert I just followed the advice in this link.
    http://indesignsecrets.com/removing-nonessential-system-fonts-in-leopard.php
It worked for me and now the font works in illustrator without converting to paths before creating pdfs.
    Hope this helps...

  • Occasional error message saying "Labview.exe has stopped working"

    Hi,
I am using Labview 8.0 on a Windows Vista operating system to communicate with lab instruments through GPIB. Occasionally, when one of my programs finishes running, an error message appears saying "Labview.exe has stopped working". The error window gives me the option to close the program or debug. After clicking debug, Windows cannot find the source of the error and the all labview applications get closed. Any ideas? Thanks.

The code that I have been having an issue with is attached. The main program is called "Frequency Sweep Real Time2". The other two attachments are subVI's used within the main program. I am a young programmer and I have never had any official training with Labview so sorry if my Labview programming is unconventional or just plain bad. Thanks to whoever looks this over.

  • Z10 to Bold messages are empty !

    Hi Z10 lovers,
I've received my Z10, everything works fine, except one mail issue.
I send out a mail via BES10 (and Domino Traveler) to the outside world : OK
I send out a mail via BES10 (and Domino Traveler) to lotus Notes user: OK
I send out a mail via BES10 (and Domino Traveler) to old BES503 user : mail body is empty on his Bold.
This same user can perfectly see my message in his Lotus Notes client.
Looks like a problem between the new BES10 and the old BES503 server.
    Any clue ?
Internal IT does not find it.
    Alexandre De Ronne

Thank you for taking time to respond to my first question. Here are the answers to your questions:
Are the emails sent to the BlackBerry Bold user formatted with HTML tags and embedded images?
Answer : even a flat text like "testing123" does not appear.
What happens if the same email is sent from your BlackBerry Z10 Smartphone to the recipients BlackBerry Bold on a non-BES email such as a Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo account?
Answer : Sending mails from Z10 to Hotmail is OK, only to old BES5 is an issue.
What version of software is installed on the recipients BlackBerry Bold? Is it up to date with the latest software from the wireless service provider?   Answer : It's not only on one old BB ex.: BlackBerry 8900 v5.0.0.1036 (Bundle 1682,Platform 5.2.0.104), BlackBerry 9360, ......
What is the scope of affected emails that have an empty body on the BlackBerry Bold? Does this happen on every message sent to/received by the BlackBerry Bold? Does this happen when any other BlackBerry Z10 user sends an email to them from the same Traveler server?
Answer : It happens on every message sent from Z10, we did tests with more than one Z10 sending mails to more than one older BB devices.
Has the email on the BlackBerry Bold been removed and integrated again to try to resolve this issue?
    Answer : Not yet.
    Other questions :
1: Could it be a setting on the old BES 5 server or on the new server (higher BES encryption)?
2: Attachments smaller then +/- 4Mb are automatically downloaded on the Z10's, is there somewhere a setting for it to not automaticaly download attachments

  • Beach ball and occasional restart message (kernel panic warning)

    Hello,
I'm getting ready to start an editing project on FCP using my G5. I'm running into general use problems in that everything I do seems to initiate the beach ball. I now have two FW drives hooked up with my video for the project which seems to making everything even slower. Today I came back into the room with a restart the computer sign. It was the kind that is issued when you have a kernel panic. I know this because I lost the hard drive to my G4 a few years back due to a kernel panic. This has happened on the G5 a couple of times and luckily I have been able to restart and get everything going again. Everything is still slow going and now running FCP is very. The computer takes too long to respond to even basic editing commands such as scrubbing through in the browser. I'm thinking it might be a RAM issue. I'm currently at 1.5 GB DDR and know that optimally I want 2. Before I go purchase more RAM I just want to be sure I've taken care of additional details that could make my system run faster and more efficiently without the constant beach ball and restart messages.

    Hi Steve,
Here is the complete panic log. I thought this might be easier to give you the whole thing rather than cherry pick.

  • Bold text appears bold and italic

    Hi Folks,
Can anyone please explain why this happens?
In FW when I click the bold text button, the text appears bold but italic aswell.
    Thanks in advance

That's unusual. Which version of Fireworks and what operating system are you using?
If you click on the Faux Italic button, is the italic styling removed? (It should be. If not, click twice.) You might want to try quitting and restarting the application—or shutting down and restarting your computer—and see if this takes care of the problem.
FYI: It's generally a better choice to add bolding via the Font Style dropdown menu, if that style is available within the currently selected font family.

  • Bold lines appear around outside right edge and bottom of some pages.

Several pages now have bold lines around outside right edge, bottom and center of document.  This bold line is also in center between pages in spread. None of the pages are showing automatic page numbers, and when I try and export to pdf, the pdf is blank. What have I done to create these bold lines?  Why are pages not showing? Why does pdf appear blank?

Which version of ID and your OS?
We're going to need screen captures to see what you are talking about.
Is your content on layers marked non-printing? Does it disappear in InDesign when you switch to Preview mode?

  • Output Not Appearing in Exported .TXT File

    Hi
I am using Crystal Reports XI R2, using Universe as a Data source, and Business Objects XI Release  2.Oracle 10G as a Datasource with Universe.
I am getting Correct Data, in Crystal  Report Viewer, But if i am making attempt to Export the Data to a .TXT File, it is not displaying tha Data as in Crystal Report Viewer.
    1) In my Case we are Using Page Number Reset Option, which is working fine in Crystal Reports Viewer, but in .TXT file output, Page Number is not reseted.
    2) We are Using Group Headers which has Text Objects and Formula Field,  the Group Header Displays for Each Group in Viewer, but same is not displayed in .TXT File output.
    3) For Very First Group, In Viewer it Displaying Page No as 1,1,2,3.....(which is not Correct, it should be 1,2,3....), but in .TXT file Output, it Displays right One as 1,2,3......
But If iam Exporting the Report to an PDF File, it Displays Eactly as what is in viewer.
So Kindly Help me on this Issue.
    Thanks

  • Random bold text appears when converting docx to pdf

I'm having a strange issue. When converting a .docx file to .pdf, Acrobat randomly makes words bold. In some instance an entire sentence becomes bold. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
    Thanks in advance!
    /Andreas

    Version 9.2
However, by moving some tabs and margins within the word document, Acrobat suddenly recognized all the characters. Very strange!
    So, problem solved.

  • Copied a partition to external now it appears as a txt file

Does anyone have any idea how to correct this issue?
I made a copy of one of my partitions to my external hard drive and it used to show up as a partition in the external, now it is showing up as a text file in my external HD.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

So you copied and then pasted it. I've never tried doing such a thing, so I have no idea what the final result would be. However, it's better to select the partition (not partion) and drag it onto the ext HDs mounted disk icon.

  • Mail messages not what they appear to be

Occasionally inbox message will show a sender and current date but when I view the message it is an old, deleted message from a different sender. If I go to webmail the correct, current message is viewable.

What type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP, .Mac)? If IMAP or .Mac, try rebuilding the mailbox, i.e. select it in Mail and do Mailbox > Rebuild.
BTW, if you’re running Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), as your profile indicates, it would have been more appropriate to discuss this in the Mail & Address Book - Tiger forum. If the discussion applies to both Mail 1.x and Mail 2.x, it doesn’t really matter, but it’s difficult to know that in advance.

  • Convergence not displaying all of Mulitpart MIME messages

Occasionally a message will come through, readable in IMAP, and even in Comms Express 6.3, but it's blank in Convergence 1u2.
Invariably said message will always start with:
"This is a multi-part message in MIME format."
And in Convergence the rest of it is blank. Here's an example. The part that says "For those planning to go, Chotchky's at 5:30pm." is not visible in Convergence, but is visible over IMAP and in CE 6.3:

    Shane,
After a long delay I'm looking at this issue again and your initial argument for the bug doesn't seem to hold true. We've switched mailing list providers since, which has resolved the "space on blank line" issue and the incorrect placement of the "multi-part MIME" message (at least for messages sent in plain text). Convergence (1u3 now) takes the header MIME portion, duplicates it, and does not display the message content.
    As the message source appears:

  • Reading foreign language text messages

    Hi all,
There may be a very simple solution to this but I just don't know how to make it work.  My wife and I both have Nokia's 6110 and 6210 (both Navigators) bought in Australia, so naturally we have set our phones in English.  Occasionally, we have friends send us txt messages with Chinese in them, and they appeared as small squares in the message.  I wonder how can we make our phones see those characters automatically, without messing up the English also contained in the message?  Is there some settings that we must do in our phones, or need to download something from PC Suite?
        Advice much appreciated.

    android's reply isn't exactly correct, I'm afraid.
And getting the Chinese as MMS will only work if the sender doesn't send the text as Chinese, but actually goes through the trouble of making a graphical image (.gif, .png or .jpg file) where the Chinese is sent as a picture, not as text.
You can add Chinese support by installing new system/default font files with Chinese characters:
    http://darlamack.blogs.com/darlamack/2007/05/changing_fonts_.html
You can also use applications like Psiloc Crystal Chinese:
    http://shop.psiloc.com/en/Application,262329,Psiloc+Crystal+Chinese
Other than that, you'd need a phone produced for a Chinese speaking country/region (then you'd get a phone with Chinese language/font support in the firmware).

  • Server silently fails on messages with a huge To: header; any ideas?

Our incoming relay (sendmail) occasionally receives messages which were sent to many recipients
(sometimes it's spam, sometimes valid maillists to which our users have subscribed). The messages
in question have a To: header which is typically over 6kb in size and over 80 lines long (and since
several recipients with short names/addresses may be grouped on one line, there's about a hundred
    recipients listed).
It fails trying to relay these messages to our backend Sun Messaging Server (6.3-6.0.3 x64), and it
fails silently. I am not definitely sure that this is SMS's flaw and not Sendmails; but perhaps someone
can shed light on the matter? :)
SMS's mail.log_current receives such entries (here xxx.xxx.xxx.100 is the relay, xxx.xxx.xxx.73
    is the backend server):
    04-Dec-2008 16:54:44.62 tcp_local    +            O TCP|xxx.xxx.xxx.73|25|xxx.xxx.xxx.100|33728 SMTP

    04-Dec-2008 16:59:44.62 tcp_local    +            C TCP|xxx.xxx.xxx.73|25|xxx.xxx.xxx.100|33728 SMTP Timeout
after 5 minutes trying to read SMTP packetSendmail logs a broken connection:
    Dec  4 17:01:27 relay sendmail[14689]: [ID 801593 mail.crit] mB47gCN4014672: SYSERR(root): timeout writing message to sunmail.domain.ru.: Broken pipe
    Dec  4 17:01:27 relay sendmail[14689]: [ID 801593 mail.info] mB47gCN4014672: to=<[email protected]>, delay=00:07:01, xdelay=00:06:58, mailer=esmtp, pri=329059, relay=sunmail.domain.ru. [xxx.xxx.xxx.73], dsn=4.0.0, stat=DeferredSniffing the wire gives strange results: The SMTP dialog part seems okay, the message is submitted
(relayed) only for our local user's address. But the message is not transferred until sendmail dies.
When the sendmail process dies (due to timeout or by a manual kill), about 3 packets appear in the
sniffer's output, starting with the usual "Received: from" lines and other header parts. The last packet
has text from the middle of the To: header, often breaking mid-word. Perhaps it's some buffering error
in either the sending Sendmail or the receiving Sunmail, or some server TCP-networking/sniffer glitch.
If I manually edit the queue file (/var/spool/mqueue/qfmB47gCN4014672 for the sample above) and delete
most of the To: header's lines, the message goes through okay.
This just does not seem logical - the message header text seems to be compliant (that is, each single
line is short, although all sub-lines of To: concatenate to a rather large text; but not that extremely large).
Neither sendmail nor sun mail report any error except networking socket failure.
MTUs are the same on both servers (1500), and any other large message (i.e. with attachments),
    relays okay.
Are there any known issues on Sun Messaging Server (or Sendmail for that matter) which look like
this and ring a bell to a casual reader? :) Perhaps Sieve filters, etc.?
Since sendmail does successfully receive this message from the internet, and none of our several
incoming milters break along the way, I don't think it should have a huge problem forwarding it to
another server (I'll try experimenting though). This is why I think it's possible that Sun mail may be
    at fault.

Hello all, thanks for your suggestions.
In short, I debugged with Shane's suggestions. Apparently, tcp_smtp_server didn't get
a byte for 5 minutes so the read() was locked. At least, there's no specific failing routine
in Sunmail, so I'm back to research about Sendmail and networking, buffering and so on.
As I mentioned, when relay's sendmail process is killed, the system spits out about 3
packets of header data to the network...
    Details follow...
By "silently failing" i meant that no obvious SMTP error is issued. The connection hangs
until it's aborted and both servers only complain on that - a failed network connection.
The resulting problem is that the sendmail relay marks sunmail as "Deferring connections"
in its hoststatus table, and valid messages are not even attempted for submission. At the
moment we fixed that brutally but effectively - by removing the hoststatus file for our sunmail
    via cron every minute.
Concerning Mark's post, these servers are in the same DMZ, on a Cisco 2960G switch
which caused no specific problems. I mentioned MTU's are the same and standard,
because a few weeks back we did have LDAP replication problems due to experiments
with Jumbo frames, but solved them internally (I posted on this in the DSEE forum, also
asking how to compare LDAPs: [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5349017]).
We use this tandem of relay-backend servers for half a year now (and before we deployed
Sun Messaging Server, this sendmail relayed mails to our old server for many years).
So far this (large To:) is the only type of messages I see that cause such behavior; for
any other large mails the size does not matter, or at least some rejection explanation
is generated by one of the SMTP engines.
Shane, thanks for your help over and over ;)
I tried enabling the options you mentioned, ran "imsimta cnbuild" and reloaded the services.
Then I fired up the sniffer on the relay server, "tail -f mail.log_current" on the sunmail, and
submitted a "bad message" from the Sendmail queue.
In the sniffer the SMTP dialog went ok until submission of message data, where it hung as
    before:
    # ngrep "" tcp port  25 and host sunmail

#In the mail.log_current just one line appeared:

Rebuilt the configs, and ran msg-stop to see if the processes actually die. When I checked
the "netstat -an | grep -w 25" and "ps -ef" outputs, there was indeed a tcp_smtp_server
    process running:
    mailsrv 23594   656   0 10:50:08 ?           0:00 /opt/SUNWmsgsr/messaging64/lib/tcp_smtp_serverBoth the sunmail and sendmail relay kept the socket ESTABLISHED. I took a pstack
of the tcp_smtp_server (below) and killed it with SIGSEGV so I have a core dump if
needed. Then I started the services and submitted the message from the queue again.
The SMTP dialog log was actually from tcp_local, and it ended with the lines like these
(note that even in this detailed log it just died with "network read failed" after 5 minutes,
I inserted an empty line to make it more visible):

and perhaps this is what didn't allow stop-msg to kill this process...
At least, there's no specific failing routine in Sunmail, so I'm back to research about
Sendmail and networking, buffering and so on. As I mentioned, when relay's sendmail

The pstack output for a waiting tcp_smtp_server process follows, for completeness sake:

  • CFMail Relay Messages

I have an event management application that sends
registration confirmations and details to registrants via email.
Nothing big or unusual there. However, the client insists on
keeping their mail server with a separate company.
We have been sending our emails out via cfmail with few
issues. However, because the mail server is on a different
server/IP than that of the website, we occasionally have messages
that get tagged as "spam". The error that comes is returned is:
Remote host said: 553 Bogus helo H104151
I've checked various spam sites and our IP is clean. In fact,
this is the only site on this IP that sends emails out at all and I
    know it's not spammy.
So, I thought that I might be able to use the server,
username, and password attributes of the cfmail tag to set the
credentials for the client's mail server. I verified that my
credentials are correct and when I check the mail.log file, I see:
"Invalid Addresses; nested exception is: class
    javax.mail.SendFailedException: 571 [Email:to address output here]
    prohibited. We do not relay"
This VPS uses SmarterMail as its mail server and I went in
and told it to allow anyone to relay messages. I only made that
change this morning just to test and ensure this wasn't the
problem. After setting the relay to anyone, the same error appears
    in the mail.log file.
Does anyone know if this is just not possible or if I'm
missing something in my settings, etc. to make it happen.
    Thanks, very much,
    Craig

    Hi
due to some reason cfmail setting are cached as long as CF
server running, try to restart CF service.
here are few hints, I know its allot pain
1: mailerID = "NetX.Mailer" add mailer id attribute
2: From address is important, do you use same address or
    different every time
    3: RDNS should be correct
4: SPF record is also important
    Thanks
