Occasionally can't put space at end of line in Mail

Hi Everyone,
Occasionally when writing in the body of a message in mail I can't put a space at the end of the line.
If I push enter to go to the next line and send the message it breaks up the line/sentence.
Anyone know how to fix this?

This is not a bug and not a problem. It has to do with line formatting. As you reach the end of the line in a compose mail window the system knows that it will have to break the line over if you keep on writing. There will definitely be a space between your words if you just type on. Don't worry, they will be there.
No need to manually line break or format your mails. It is nonsense anyway as you have not the slightest idea how broad your recipients window will be or maybe even what kind of mail application she will use. (Might be Mail.app, might be Thunderbird or Outlook, might be Claris eMailer on a Macintosh SE, or even Webmail or a terminal eMail app like "mutt".)
You'll notice this behaviour in any app where you write text. Even in Safari when posting to the boards here, or in TextEdit. It is just normal.

Thanks, but this put a message in the message line, and I need to put this in the status line below the message line, where are displayed messages like "enter query", "execute query", "list of values" and etc...

Extra space in end of line constant

Hello All,
Does anyone have an explanation why when using an end of line constant and a format into string there is an "apparent" extra space included?
The attached VI (LV 8.5) shows the behaviour. There should not be a space after the "e", but there appears to be. If you view the string in hex form there is clearly not an extra space character. What is going on here, am I misinterpreting how this is supposed to work?

Man I was trigger happy.
I see what you mean, if you step through the 'normal' string you will notice their's a position after the 'e' before going to the next lin.
This was my original reply (humble, humble)
I don't really get what you mean but I think you need to remember the 'hex' view is a formatted view, with an additional space after every second character!
The function returns this for me:
Which is totally acceptable for me. I see 5 characters ('o','n','e','CR','LF')

Can I put text on a curved line in Pages?

I am trying to do a layout for a t-shirt design. i sued to have Illustrator and could place text on a curved line. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this in Pages?

Pages doesn't have the ability to do it automatically, but you could do it manually with individual text boxes. The easiest way would be to use Art Text 2 by Belight Software to create the image & then insert it into Pages. There is a free "lite" version available in the Mac App Store.

How do I save an image with hyperlinks so it can be put in an e-mail?

I designed an e-mail and used the slice tool to insert hyperlinks. Now I want to save it so that it can be put in the body of the e-mail with the hyperlinks active and usable. Any suggestions?

When you preview the image from the save for web dialog box, it will open your browser to see the image. It also will have the necessary html code needed for the links to work. Just copy that html code and add it to your email code with the image.

The problem is very simple....since is a non printable character, how can I put it in the command line of the Instrument I/O Assistant???

Thanks for contacting National Instruments.
To answer you question, the best way to do what you are looking to do is to use the instrument I/O Assistant to generate whatever you want the code to do without the non-displayable characters, then once the Instrument I/O Assistant block is on the block diagram, then right click on the Assistant block and select to open the front panel. You will want to choose to convert it to a standard VI, which will allow you to change the code that has been auto generated. In order to add non-displayable characters to this code you follow the knowledgebase link below.

JMS adapter receiver - converion to text without any end-of-line character

Hi everybody,
We have the scenario
RFC -> PI7.11 -> JMS (MQ Series)
I want to convert the XML document of PI into a text format.
In destination MQSeries, we can't have any end-of-line separator because the destination of MQS target is a Mainframe .
How can we suppress this character End-of-line ?
Can anybody help me top solve this issue, please ?

I used the module AF_Modules\StrictXml2PlainBean
and I put the parameter field.endSeparator without any value.

I haven't done this with an external drive, but I would imagine it works the same way as if you have multiple internal drives. Also hopefully it works with less headache in OSX than in windows.
Anyway, move all your music over to your external, and then go into itunes -> preferences -> advanced -> iTunes media folder location. Navigate to your drive, and pick the folder you want. Ensure that your folders are set up like they are in your ~/Music/iTunes folder, or wherever your iTunes is currently pointing. Then quit and restart itunes. If your music doesn't show up, try dragging your music folder from your external onto itunes, and it will hopefully update your library.xml.
As far as Jerry's problem goes, you could try adding another music folder to your library.xml, but I really have no idea whether this will work or not. If you want to give it a try (can't promise you won't corrupt your library.xml, so make a copy beforehand) you can find the music folder xml element right near the top of the xml file (open it with textedit/textmate/whatever text editor you want (NOT WORD)). Curious to know if this works, and if it doesn't I have other ideas so let me know.

Because you can only synce with one iTunes library and you are switching libries by using the new computer. To nake this yyour syncing computer:
- Move all the media(apps, music, synced video and photos etc) to the new computer.
- Connect the iPofd yo the computer and bake a backup fo the iPod by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes doe not include media.

Yes.
To preserve your projects, all moves should be done from within iMovie, (not the Finder).
First, the external drive must be formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled). FAT32 will not work. You can reformat using Disk Utility if you need to.
When importing video from your camera, you can specify your external drive as the target on the import screen.
For existing projects, you should move using these instructions.

There is an error in the instructions where it says to drag the project icon to the icon in the Event Library. You should instead look for your hard drive icon in the Project Library.

How can I put asterisk in the beginning and end of a search parameter..?

Hi!
I'm developing a program for a user where he wants a search parameter for the description about some purchase orders....
The problem is if the user want to make a search for any word he need to put asterisk in the beginning and end of the word because if the user don't put the asterisk the search will not find anything because the program don't know if the word is in the beginning of the description or in the end or in the middle...
How can I put one asterisk in the beginning and end of the search topic entered by the user internally in the program..? I was thinking using the concatenate function but for this will not work because the program think that the asterisk is part of the word and not..
The search parameter of the Description is in range.. (Select-Options).

In the code desc_search is the select_option that I tell u. I use the DESCRIBE to see first if it is not initial... if desc_search have an entry then access the DELETE to remove all the records that are diferent from desc_search.. This desc_search will have the word with the asterisk... and the question is if it works if I use the concatenate before this... anyway I will try but I think that if I use the concatenate the program confuse and take the asterisk as part of the word..
DESCRIBE TABLE desc_search LINES desc_count.
IF desc_count IS NOT INITIAL.
DELETE core_table WHERE desc NOT IN desc_search.
ENDIF.
