Occasionally when I paste settings, everything goes green...

Does anyone know why this is? I copy settings, and paste them to one or many other photographs in the Library module, and some of those images that I have pasted to, will have a green tint. (See bottom left).
Any help greatly appreciated.

I know this behaviour as I also have it from time to time in LR 5.7.1 (OS X 10.10.2). What happens is that tint of WB is set to the most left position (is it -100?). Furthermore I also have the problem if synching the settings of let's say 12 images not all images are synched.
(Nearly the same when trying to fix the timezone or date of taken images. I found out, that the magic number is 999. When selecting 1000 images to correct nothing will happen. When selecting 999 it will work.)

You can reinstall Firefox by overwrite it.(Remember download version lasted). Don't insintall your old version Firefox.And all bookmark,add-on will not be deleted.

When I paste as a Smart Object in Photoshop, the gradients are wrong!

Occasionally when I paste a smart object into a Photoshop document, my gradient changes colors from color-to-color, to color-to-white!
This never happened in CS3. This also happens sometimes when I save to .svg! What's going on here?

The color mode is sRGB IEC61966-2.1 in both Illustrator and Photoshop CS5 apps. No spot-colors. One color is #485970 and the other is #243446, and it's the latter color that turns white when I paste it into Photoshop as a smart object.
When I went to 'color settings' I noticed that my "Creative Suite apps were un-synchronized". I'm wondering if this is part of the problem? I've synchronized them though, and it hasn't seemed to have made a difference.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Camera On My Blackberry Goes Green When Taking A Picture

Okay So I try to take a picture on my phone, and you can see fine, the camera works and you see everything through it but when I take a picture it takes a long time to load and then it shows that it took the picture but when it is going to save my screen goes green.
Has this happened to anyone? Can someone help me please?

I am having the same problem. My camera worked fine since I had it, then suddenly the same green screen every time the picture saves. I have no memory problems with my phone and have no downloaded any new apps.

Don't know if this was the problem or not, but I recently removed some unwanted programs from my phone. A free hangman game as well as some others (All free games downloaded from the bb app store). They were removed after I found out my phone camera wasn't working for other reasons. I just checked my camera again to show my wife the prob and now it works!

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are trying to use your MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt Display in closed clamshell mode (MacBook Pro closed), but sometimes the display doesn't stay on. I found an article that talks about closed clamshell mode. You would have to fulfill the following requirements to use your display this way:

HT203167 I've downloaded the Now Christmas album, all but 1 song has been downloaded and put in my library. The list says it's there but when I go to play it, iTunes skips past it and goes to the next song. I have downloaded lastest version of iTunes.

The song appears in my library but when I go to play it iTunes skips past it and goes to the next song. It wouldn't normally bother me but its the only song my son wants to hear all the time (hopefully the heart strings will be pulled here and someone will reply before Christmas to help me!) I've loaded the last verison of iTunes.

Will the media file play with Quicktime Player? If it will then it's an iTunes issue. If it won't then you need to delete the file and download it a second time.

When closing browser looses all my settings and goes back to default on reopening

I set what I want in options like do not remember history and font size and do not show download window when installed. every time I shut it down and restart it later everything goes back to default.

Everytime I go to full-screen mode the photo I am working on is on one space while the filmstrip is on another. Also there is no way to get to the menu on top as it is hidden. When I hit the f key everything goes to black and I have to quite the program.

You have to change the cursor focus.
What I usually do for PDF pages/tabs, is click in the URL/location bar, then F11.<br />
For Flash, if you click on the page outside of the video area/box, F11 should work.

I have a dual monitor setup. When I paste develop settings from one image to another, Lightroom switches the active window.

I'm processing a large batch of photos. I have Monitor #1 set as my main develop window, with Monitor #2 set only to display a larger version of the image I'm working with. If I copy the develop settings off of one image and try to paste them onto another image, Lightroom will switch from Monitor #1 to Monitor #2 as the main develop window, and will not display anything on Monitor #1.
If I then try to paste develop settings onto another image on Monitor #2, LR will then display a larger version of the image I'm working with on Monitor #1.
To work the way I want to, I have to continually drag my develop window back to Monitor #1 every time I try to paste develop settings onto a new image. How can I make this stop?

I just tried what I think you’re saying you’re doing and I don’t have the problem with LR 5.5 on Windows 7 SP 2.
Does the same thing happen whether you use the key shortcuts vs the Settings / Copy/Paste options on the menu?
I ask this because if you’re using the keyboard shortcuts, maybe you have some display-manager program that has bound itself to the Ctrl-Shift-V (paste settings) to the function of move-to-other-monitor which would do at least part of what you describe.
You can also test this theory by doing a Ctrl-Shift-V with an application other than LR as the active window and see if it moves. I suppose Ctrl-Shift-C might also play into it so try both of these hot-key combinations with a program that isn’t LR.
If none of this sheds any light on the situation, then give a more detailed description of the low-level functions you’re doing to accomplish the copy-paste of settings, so someone else could replicate the steps exactly.
Specific detailed steps, like:
left-click on source photo’s thumbnail in the filmstrip
press Ctrl-Shift-C to copy the settings
click Check-None
enable the white-balance and calibration checkboxes
click Ok
left-click on destination photo's thumbnail in the filmstrip
click on Settings / Paste Settings in LR’s menus to paste the settings to the selected photo

Screen goes green and crashes when watching videos

While watching videos, my video keeps crashing and the screen is going green. The sound is also not working, does anyone know hot to fix it, or will I have to book an appointment with the genius bar

Logo fading when copy/pasting for no reason

Hello, please look at http://www.bellwoodbnb.ca/1.html The logo on the left (un faded is correct)
My logo on the file that i created it in looks perfect. When i create a new, blank AI file and paste it into it, it pastes as a faded version of my logo. I have gone through all the settings i could find between my two files and made them identical, it still happens. When i paste the logo into the same file it was created in it pastes correctly.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?

At the moment printing this job in offset could get kind of expensive with all these Pantone spot colors. You need to convert the spot colors (Pantone) to process. Please see the manual on how to handle print color in general and swatches in Illustrator in particular.

Startup disk is full when I already deleted everything?

For a while I've been getting pop ups saying my startup disk is full and so I deleted mostly everything. To this day I still get the pop ups when I swear there is literally nothing on my macbook. I checked how much space I actually have and I have just 1.17 gb/59.81 gb... I have no idea how this could possibly happen when I have deleted everything.
There is 0 pictures, 0 movies, 0 downloads and 0 music because I have literally deleted everything. How do I only have 1.17 gb left? My trash is also empty too. Apparently "Other" is taking up 41 gb on my macbook... What is this? I have no idea what is taking up all the space on my macbook when I don't have anything except the things I really need.
Someone help me... I need actual space on my laptop...

For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation—not the mythical 10%, 15%, or any other percentage. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install the app you downloaded in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Ignore any other messages that appear in the Terminal window.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Questions inc amber never goes green but showing 100% charge

I have just received my new Powerbook & i went through the calibrating battery procedures but the power plug (that connects to the side of the PB) goes green for 1-2 seconds when plugging in then stays at amber - even when the charge is showing as 100%.
I have unplugged, restarted, disconnected, reconnected etc but I get exactly the same response.
I used a program called coconutbattery which shows that the 'Mac is 2 months old' - is this OK? ( I received it yesterday).
What is the approx time for a battery to last if set to 'normal' settings & fairly dim display & just surfing web? (a rough guide would be welcome)

I wouldn't worry that your Mac is 2 months old; I would guess that is a fairly normal time from production to sale once the initial rush for a new model has died down. (Most "new" cars have been standing in a field somewhere for months!) As to the life of your battery - well it won't be anything like the 3.5 hours or whatever they claim on the box. If you get around 2 hours using it as you describe you'll be doing pretty well and certainly within spec.
HOWEVER - you shouldn't just put up with this problem. It's a simple matter for Apple to swap the charger for you so that you can at least identify the source of the problem. Give them a call.
PS They will almost certainly ask you to reset the PMU so you might as well try that before you pick up the phone:
