HI
I would like to ask if i want to go for forms and report development then for OCA only which exams i need to pass.
Hopefully exploration of the above link would be beneficial in answering this for yourself.
There is no certification exam for Reports.
Forms Certification is obtained by achieving PL/SQL OCA and taking a relevant forms exam to achieve Forms OCP.

and what if i selects 9i (1Z0-007 Introduction to Oracle9i SQL® ) or 10g (1Z0-147 Program with PL/SQL) versions to go for exams.
So Please mention clearly the benefit of giving exams for a new version like 11g.
What follows should be taken as IMHO.  It is your time/money/expense to choose as you will.
If you take older version exams then you have not demonstrated initiative to to study using more modern exams with more relevant topics taking on board more recent features.
Hopefully as Pearson has is already identified one Oracle DBMS 12c exam (1z1-060) in its offerings (not currenty bookable I may add); and as 12c RDBMS is on the soon to be in production in 2013; and because of the indicator of ISBN-13: 978-0071820288 ....... 1z0-147 and 1z0-007 should finally be retired in 2013, IMHO not before time.
( 1z0-147 is more 9i (or 8i) than 10g ... in fact possibly inappropriate for 10g )
Thanks

  • Oracle 11g certification in Developer track

I would like to go for Oracle 11g certification in Developer track. I've already given 1Z0-051 paper.
Is OCA 11g certification in Developer track now available. And if it is not currently available, I believe when it is going to be released the first paper is going to the be same (1Z0-051) and I could give the second paper and get the certification.
    Please advise.

Could you please explain what is the difference between beta exam and the normal one.Q) What is the difference between a Beta exam and a production exam?
    A) Beta exams are used by Oracle to test new exam questions with the participation of a live audience. Data gathered during beta testing are used to select the best questions for the production exam, and to eliminate questions that are ambiguous, too easy or too difficult, or are unhelpful in evaluating participants' knowledge level. Beta exams are offered at a discounted price; and candidates usually have either 3 or 3.5 hours to complete the exam, and may see 175 - 220 questions. I see that 1Z0-146 is the final paper for OCP (Advanced PL/SQL programmer). Can I not get a OCA certification in 11g?You can get the "Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate" certificate if you pass (1Z0-001 or 1Z0-007 or 1Z0-047 or 1Z0-051) + 1Z0-147 exam.

  • OCA in developer track

    Hi,
I am an OCA in DBA track by completion of the exams 1z0-007 and 1z0-030. Now I want to take up OCA in developer track. I believe that the exams to be taken up are 1z0-007 and 1z0-147. Could anyone please confirm if I am in the right track to go for the exam 1z0-147?
    Thanks
    Prithwi

According to Oracle Certification Program, in order to get Developer OCA (Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate)you should give on of belowe listed exams

    1Z0-007 Introduction to Oracle9i SQL®
    1Z0-047 Oracle Database SQL Expert
    1Z0-051 Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I

And this exam - Program with PL/SQL 1Z0-147

And to be Oracle Forms Developer Certified Professional you should give this exam: Oracle Forms: Build Internet Applications 1Z0-141

  • Oracle Certification : Developer Track

    Hi all,
I completed OCP Forms developer ( 1ZO-007,1ZO-147 & 1ZO - 141 ) exams.I've a doubt that whether there is any 10g specific different exams for the Forms developer OCP ?? If so , pls let me know the exam codes too..
    Expecting an immediate reply..
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Preethy,
From your earlier reponse I understand that the Forms and PL/SQL developer certifications are not specific to a version in the way the DBA certification is..Correct for 9i, 10g, and 11g (but NOT for Developer 6i).
If my understanding is correct, then for the Oracle PL/SQL developer certifications (OCA/OCP), can I prepare with _{color:#0000ff}9i{color}_ SQL & PL/SQL topics/books for the exams 1Z0-001/1Z0-007/1Z0-047 & 1Z0-147 & 1Z0-146 (as the changes across the Oracle versions are at the database front & not related to PL/SQL as such)? Could you please confirm this for me?It should be OK to use this reference. However, I would recommend you refer to the exams links and make sure you cover ALL the topics under "Exam Topics" section (especially new features) before appearing for the exam.

  • Can I do OCA in DBA and Developer Track?

I have cleared 1Z0-007 and 1Z0-031 recently and that earns me a OCA in DBA Track. Now, I would like to do another OCA in Developer Track. So, will just 1Z0-147 be sufficient as I have already cleared 1Z0-007?
Also, is there any Hands-On requirement for Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Certified Professional?
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Making changes at different stages of Development Track

This is a general question. I was wondering what Configuration needs to be imported into NWDS at different stages of Development Track with let's say 3 run time systems, dev-test-prod, defined per track. When i start the development i will import _dev configuration and add DCs, But not sure which configuration to be downloaded at the other sages. Post activation modifications, post release modifications etc..
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Firasath Riyaz.

Thanks for a quick reply Gentlemen,
Pascal i have gone through few of those weblogs before.. Rest i shall take a look.
DJ My question was in the context that, i have followed the scenario 3 tutorial for Development of techno and appl described on help.sap.com. In this tutorial i never came across a scenario where i need to import configuration back after i have, lets say activated the changes or may be after releasing the changes. If one comes across such a situation what configuration one needs to import from sld?
Hope i make myself clear? My apologies for the confusion.
Also what happens if one uses the same system for both dev and test, does the component get deployed multiple times on the same machine? I am squeezing in this question here, not sure if should do that or start a new thread.
    Thanks and best regards.

  • Help On OCP Developer track

Hi I would like to prepare for OCP develper track , please help me with latest dumps Thanks

    Hi Kadhirvelu,
    According to the link below
    http://www.oracle.com/education/certification/index.html?testreg.html said that
"Time Considerations for Completing Your Certification
Candidates are NOT required to pass all the exams required within the Oracle Certification track they are pursuing within a set time. However, candidates must wait 30 days before retaking an exam. There are no exceptions to this restriction.
When an Oracle Certification track retires, candidates pursuing the track are given at least 6 months from the Retirement Announcement to complete the exams required. At this time there are plans to retire only the Oracle8 exams on March 31, 2002. Click here for all the details regarding the Oracle Certification Oracle8 Retirement."
Who can told me the exactly way of time considerations for completing for OCP?

  • In how many days i can prepare for OCP 11g DB track ?

Dear all, i need help that in how many days can i prepare for my OCP DB track, i have already prepared for SQL paper rest now i have started to prepare for Administrator-I, and Administrator-II exam... and which book is best to follow
    thanks in advance.

How good is your memory? If you just want to pass the exam for the sake of passing it then you could cram all the information in there. I'd argue that even someone who wasn't a DBA would be able to learn to pass these exams if they studied hard to to remember all the answers - they are multiple choice after all.
Practice some [url http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mnemonic]Mnemonics to remember certaing parts, I can't remember which ones...
But, seriously, as the others have said it depends where you are starting from in terms of knowledge/experience and how much time you can spare to learning it. There might be small or big gaps in your knowledge when you start looking through the books.
And remember that the best certification is good quality real world experience. The certifications help to show that you are willing to learn and develop your skills and that you can learn. I don't believe they show you can actually do the job.
    Good luck!

  • Cleared OCP 10G DBA Track not updated in Certview still after 48hours

    Hi
I have cleared OCP10G DBA on 25 August 2012 but still its not showing in my certview account after 48 hours it will get updated and my test id is same
please somebody clarify on it (I want to download Logo)
Also I am fresher OCP so how to get job in ORACLE ocean because every company asks 3 to 5 yrs exp. and I am having experience from different field almost 6 yrs
what one should add in to resume to get job offers? what one should do to get job in Oracle field as support first and then graduate to DBA job
    I request please guide me
    Thanks & Regards
    TJ

I have cleared OCP10G DBA on 25 August 2012 but still its not showing in my certview account after 48 hours it will get updatedTest results will generally be in Certview within 48 hours, although I'd generally wait 3-5 days before worrying too much about that. Validating the OCP certification is a different prospect from showing a passing test score.
Have you completed the hands-on training required for the 10G OCP? Have you submitted the Hands-on training forms? Has Oracle Education verified those forms? Until all the answer to all three of these questions is yes, you will not be an OCP10G DBA.
...how to get job in ORACLE ocean because every company asks 3 to 5 yrs exp...This is a common enough question here that I wrote an article on it to save my fingers...
