OCS 10.1.2.2. on Win2003ServerR2 - Calendar Notifications - Mail hangs

Hello,
I'm running OCS 10.1.2.2 on a windows 2003 Server R2 box.
If I create a new appointment or meeting in Calendar, including mail notifications to the participants, the whole email application becomes unusable. Or, better, it is apparently OK but if I try to send an email it just hangs and I have to reboot to go back to a working situation.
I can't find any meaningful alerts in the logfiles. Can somebody point me out the right logfile where I have to look into, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
Anyone has the same problem?
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
Roberto

  • Calendar Notification

Does anyone know how the calendar notification works? I have seen on examples a little red circle with a 1 in it on the calendar app. Just like phone, Email and SMS notifications. If I set an appointment on the iPhone as an alert will this generate the calendar notification so if I view the iPhone I know I have an alert in calendar?
Or is it just for invitations? I'm not sure. If it is for invitations how do I set an invitation on the iPhone? Do I send myself an email with the invitation/alert so I get this notification?
    Any help is appreciated

I just sent myself an invitation from my desktop PC and let the iphone fetch the email on it's own. It was a meeting invitaion. I was hoping this would give me a calendar notification on the home screen so I would have a visual when I had appointments. It did not work. Worse yet is when I opened the email on the iphone it didn't even give me a choice to accept or decline the invitation. So basically the meeting invitation from outlook does not work on the iphone. Has anyone else found this out and if so is there a solution or is this another item on the long list of Apple fixes?

  • Calendar notifications keep turning back on

I like to have all calendar notificatins turned off, but every time I restart my computer (iMac 27" late 2012 with Yosemite) I find that calendar notifications are all turned back on - alerts, notificationsin lock screen, notificatin center, badge app, playing sound.  I turn everything off and all works as it should until I restart my iMac and all the calendar notifications turn back on by themselves.  Can anyone help with advice for me to keep the calendar notifications off?  It's really annoying to have to change the settings every time I restart.
    Thanks!

Have you updated to 10.10.1 yet?

  • Gmail and calendar..  sync vs on demand viewing..  calendar notification

I just picked up an iPhone 3G. I never used one before, and I'm definitely impressed.
One of the first things I tried, that was the new google mobile search app, and the sweet gmail and calendar access. http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/
I'm trying to decide if I should also setup my gmail and calendar to sync to the iphone mail and calendar apps... if that really adds much value.
The first issue that comes to mind is setting up calendar / appointment reminders. I chose the 200 text message 5 dollar SMS plan, so I'm thinking it would be a bad idea to have google's calendar texting my phone for each event reminder. Would be incredible if those notification found there way to the phone via the sweet 3G or edge or wifi data access... I remember apple saying they setup this incredible service to enable 3rd party apps to present that type of data without having background programs running, so I'm hoping google's calendar will be able to notify my iphone without the text messaging scheme soon.
anybody know if my notification wish is something anticipated? on the way? or am I being a bonehead, and I should be setting up some sort of synchronization to the apple calendar app?
the last bullet item here http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/calendar/
suggests it's already doable, but I'm guessing it's really only the text message scheme right now, and has to be "controlled" when logged in looking at the "non-mobile" version of the page.

    # Set up mobile phone notifications.
As for gmail, I have the same curiosity...sure I could sync via IMAP to the local mail app, but again, google's web based gmail interface seems to have it beat right now.. landscape larger keyboard view and all sorts of other goodies I'm sure.
and wouldn't all that IMAP syncing and pushing be more battery intensive than just using google's mobile interface through safari to view the my calendar and mail on demand?
Definitely need those notifications delivered though (possible google? I hope I hope?)

No, You can 'integrate' them with your phone if you want.
Here's the choice, do you want to use iCloud for your Contacts and Calendars (on your phone as well as everything else) instead of Gmail, yes or no
If yes then download a copy of SmoothSync for Contacts and Smooth Sync for Calendars from the 'Play' Store and setup your iCloud account on your Android phone.

  • How can I receive calendar notification instead of .ics mail attachmentes? Have already delete my apple id as alternate email on another id. Thanks very much

Well, I´m unable to receive calendar notifications after my father bought a new iphone and I put my appleid email as alternative email in his account just to revover his password in case of. I just receive emails with .ics attached.
I have tried anything, as deleting the alternate email adress on my father´s appleid, and still recieve the .ics attachments and no notifications. Furthermore, if I don´t download the .ics it won´t appear on my calendar.
Thank you very much in advance

You may need to enable in-app notifications in you iCloud calendar preferences on icloud.com.  See http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mma527d46.

  • Is there a way to send a calendar to mail?

I do my time sheet iCal and was wondering if there is a way to send the calendar to mail to be emailed. When I'm on a specific calendar and try going into edit, the program won't let me access the cut, copy or paste function. Is there a specific way to email a calendar to someone?

    Hi Barry,
I tried that and I get it, however my boss has a pc. Will she be able to open the attachment? I think she is running xp. Is there a way to copy the calendar and drop it into Bean so that I can send it without it being an attachment. When I try this, I get the list of the calendar stats, but no physical calendar. Normally I record my time sheet on a Bean document, then copy and paste it in mail. I tried sending her an attachment a long time ago, and I don't think her computer can open the attachments. I'm not overly techy(nor is my boss), so this has been my easiest route so far. I hope this makes sense.
    Thanks
Lizzy (I have two tween girls who drive me nuts, hence the name)lol.

  • Mini calendar in mail missing after Lion installation

mini calendar in mail missing after Lion installation

    >After installing Lion (intel I-Mac 2g ram). My Microsoft Office 2004 no longer runs.
Upgrade to a Universal compatible version of Office or equivalent.  http://www.neooffice.org/ is the least expensive alternative, though importing Entourage into iCal, Mac OS X Mail, and Addressbook works best if the data was exported from Entourage while still in Snow Leopard.
    >Also, when I select "printer friendly" pages in Safari or Firefox, I get a "missing plugin" message.
When you upgraded, did you make sure that Safari was installed in the Applications folder?  If not, you may have to redownload Safari from http://www.apple.com/safari/ as it happens to be the same version.  Firefox double check is already Lion compatible.  For more on upgrading to Lion, see my FAQ*:

  • I am getting calendar notifications for others calendars on my iphone

Ever since I updated to IOS8, I have been getting calendar notifications from my boss's calendar on my iphone 5.  I have his calendar as a secondary calendar so I can schedule appointments with him as needed.  His is the only secondary calendar that I am getting notifications from.  His and mine.  How do I turn the notifications to his off.  I checked google to make sure the settings there are correct which they are. I am not getting his reminders in my outlook or my gmail browser only on my phone.

You can choose to not see those notifications by using the Settings app.
Ssettings > Notifications > Calendar > Shared Calendar Changes > turn off the notifications in that section.

  • Calendar notification banner not working

    Greetings,
I am using Entourage for my calendar and everything works fine with basic alerts and what not priot to IOS5.  Now when I turn on Calendar notifications for the "Notification Menu" on the slide down it will NOT display the calendar banner within the notifications screen correctly.  You can see where it should be but it keeps flashing the calendar banner and not actually putting it in its place below weather or stock quotes depending on how it is displayed.
Anyone else experiencing this weird behaviour and if so any resolution?

Events are displayed in the calendar, but the reminders do not work. No sound, no on-screen does not show up anything. I tried to do and reset and Restart.
    Firmware 4.3.3 did not help

  • Calendar and Mail won't sync  with iCloud.

They synchronize fine between iMac and iPad. Contacts, Notes and Reminders are the only categories that do sync with iCloud on my iMac.  I am running the latest Mountain Lion upgrade.

If I understand what you are saying, iCloud seems like its over-hyped and is pretty useless for Mail and Calendar. It makes no sense to me to have Calendar and Mail available on iCloud if it doesn't show the same Calendar and Mail that is on your iMac and iPad.
Yes, my Calendar syncs with Google as well as on the iPad and iMac. Why shouldn't it also sync with iCloud?
Because it's a Google Service not an iCloud service, you can still sync it to your Mac and your devices, just not using iCloud.

  • Calendar notifications on iPad iOS 8.2 shows yesterday and not today

Since I updated my iPad to iOS 8.2 my calendar  notifications in the notification centre are showing the wrong day. The calendar summaries for 'Today' and 'Tomorrow' are correct, but the actual calendar details shows me events from yesterday and not today.
i have tried removing the calendar from notifications, and then adding it back. I have also tried a simple reboot of the iPad. Anyone know why it is doing this? What else can I try to fix this?

WWhen the iPhone is connected via usb to computer. Look at tones on the device. Does the tone look different from all others, does it have a transparent circle next to the ringtone name?

  • My calendar notifications disappear about an hour before the event. How do I make them stay for longer?

My calendar notifications disappear from the notification center about an hour before the event. How do I make them stay for longer? It is it's 5

This is normal and is how Apple handles photos.
    There are NOT duplicate photos.
Just as a song is in your itunes library and you can access that exact same song from a playlist,  all  photos synced to iphone are in the photo library and those exact same photos (NOT duplicates) can be accessed from the individual albums.
It is working exactly as it should.

  • Samsung Brightside calendar notification not going away

Why doesn't the calendar notification disappear when there are no scheduled events on my Samsung Brightside?

Thank you for this information, summersrn28. That is definitely very strange. Let's give this a try. I recommend setting up one or two events, and then either waiting for the schedule notification date or time to arrive, or canceling them right away. This can possibly make the random notification go away.

  • Make Mail app stop sending calendar notifications?

Is there a way to completely disable OS X Mail.app sending Calendar notifications? I use Postbox for mail and I'd like to use Calendar. But with  Apple Mail firing up everytime to send notications, I might have to just use the browser for my calendar (I use google apps).
    Thanks.

First, make sure you have an outgoing mail account corresponding to each of your incoming mail accounts. The user names must match. Then make sure the right outgoing account is selected when you send. You can change the default selection in
Mail > Preferences > Composing > Send new messages from:
