Ocsp signature invalid response

I'm using Digital Signatures In Adobe reader, When I enable the option:
"Require certificate revocation checking to verify signatures wherever possible"
I recieve this message:
"OCSP Response Signing invalid"

The OCSP protocol has an option for accepting only signed requests, where the signer of the OCSP request has to be trusted by the OCSP Responder.
LiveCycle Digital Signatures ES2 and or Acrobat can be configured to sign OCSP requests.
In LiveCycle, it is part of the Digital Signatures service configuration, see attached screen shots.  Acrobat\Reader supports it through a registry entry...  I have attached the relevant page from the Digital Signatures and Document Security administration guide.

    Hi Linc,
    Thanks for looking into this.
I was reading your response and came across Java. I now remember that I installed  JavaForOSX2014-001.dmg to get my lotus notes up and running on the night before this started happening?
Do you think uninstalling this will help me out?
I have observed that apps ( parallels, skype, iphoto, snagit, dashlane) do not start up at times but then they start up at other times. It happens randomly. For example, I started parallels in the morning and got this error. I rebooted and it worked fine.
Regarding your suggestion of re-installing, I have my home drive on a separate partition. All the apps and OS is installed on the OS partition. So I dont need to worry about data backup. right? I can simply go ahead and format the OS partition and re-install Yosemite on the OS partition again?  Thats how I did things in windows.
    Thanks for your help.

  • The SCEP server returned an invalid response.

    Hello
We are trying to enroll iPhone 3GS device with iOS 4.1 to be used with MDM. For SCEP server we use MSCEP in Windows Server 2008. We can't get over "Enrolling Certificate" step because it always fails with message "The SCEP server returned an invalid response.". How can we get more details? Analyzing captured HTTP stream revealed no issues.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    frustrated Martin

We are testing in LAN and have configured our router to translate some domains to our local IPs. Could this be a problem? In payloads there are no IP addresses but these local domains.
It looks CA is issued the certificate, you might seen that from cert manger console. I don't see any obvious reason why cert got rejected by iPhone. (May be some one experts from apple can find from following dump) Anyway I suggest following option to you.
    1) try with http if you are using https
    2) install CA cert to phone and try again
    3) check time between server and phone
    4) try to change default scep issue template to issue 2048 key.
    5) double check finger print(in SCEP profile) you config with ca cert.

  • Adobe Print Form Error - Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized

Hi, I've just configured ADS on Netweaver 2004s. I've run through the config guide and everything works ok including the form generation test report FP_TEST_00 which outputs PDF without issue. I have two problems:
-When I run a "test connection" on the RFC destination 'ADS' using the ADSUSER for the login details, I get a 403 not authorized error. Changing this user to J2EE_ADMIN resolves the issue and I get a 302 redirect. I've tried adding other permissions to the ADSUSER without any luck.
-Running a report on the Portal under e.g. Executive Reporting and attempting to just right-click and hit "Print Version" results in a 401 error for request "http://hostXX:portXX/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document" exactly as per this thread: Re: Adobe Form Creation Error - Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. However, I've double-checked all user details in Visual Administrator (ADS_AGENT) and on the ABAP stack side in su01 and sm59. I also tried changing the users to dialog with no effect. If I go directly to that URL and log in with ADSUSER I get a 403 not authorised error (using J2EE_ADMIN is again successful). I've noticed that in the http access log the HTTP protocol used is 1.1 when using the web browser and 1.0 when using the sm59 connection test. I've heard of problems with using HTTP/1.1, but when I change the options on IE8 to use HTTP/1.0, it changes for all other requests except the request for "http://hostXX:portXX/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document", which is still submitted as HTTP/1.1. Conversely, in sm59 if I specify that it should use HTTP/1.1 under Special Options, I can see from the access log that it is in fact still using HTTP/1.0. Could this be related to the 401 error code that I'm seeing?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
    John

I think I've ruled out the HTTP protocol version as being an issue here. However I may have found more useful information on the actual issue.
In the security log under usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log\system I see a different message for the unsuccessful report PDF generation attempt to that of a direct query to the same URL with the same web browser, as below. The unsuccessful attempt appears to forget the ADSUSER credentials and resort to the default J2EE_GUEST which has no authorisations and therefore fails. The direct query doesn't lose the ADSUSER credentials and I think this is because it prompts for the user/password when needed. Does anyone know why this happens for a direct query to this URL but not for the PDF generation attempt?
Resulting logs from unsuccessful PDF generation attempt:

I have just a simple WCF service and which is protected by azure ACS .I am getting this error while trying to invoke the service from a client. The WCF is hosted as a simple azure website.
502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server
There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. When the Web server (while acting as a gateway or proxy) contacted the upstream content server, it received an invalid response from the content server.
This is my web.config for the service and I am guessing there is something wrong with it .It is working just fine on local IIS so I am not sure what exactly is causing the issue. Can someone please have a look and see if they can find something or point me to
    a direction.

    hi,
Firstly, I suggest you could see the same error threads (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsazure/en-US/5cf817b3-1295-41d7-b156-ce7aa5e4d11e/502-web-server-received-an-invalid-response-while-acting-as-a-gateway-or-proxy-server?forum=windowsazurewebsitespreview
). And then, I recommend you could refer to this basic code sample(
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4027.wcf-soap-service-with-federated-authentication.aspx ). And I recommend you could download this code sample and try to use it(http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Windows-Azure-AD-Access-0dcde385/sourcecode?fileId=71587&pathId=477793108
    Please try it.
    hope this helps.

  • Adobe Form Error: Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. The request...

When trying to run an Adobe Form webdynpro app, I am receiving the following error:
<b>Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. The requested URL was:"http://localhost:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document"</b>
I have checked the ADS test at <server:port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config; the test did return the version number.
<i><b>Does anyone have any other ideas of what I should check?</b></i>
Also, why is it running a url with "localhost" in it?  If this is running on the java was server, then I guess that could make sense.  But if the url request is requesting something from localhost, isn't that my computer?  I guess it depends on if this is a server request or a client request.  I hope this is a server request.

    Sumit -
First, I think config is okay.  I can run the web service under my id okay.
Second, I am not sure what the impact is having the build done locally.
I am building and deploying locally in NWDS to my local portal. But then I am sending the EAR file to the system admin to deploy to my dev server (I am doing this because they will not give out the SDM password.  And, I am waiting on the NWDI setup to be complete; when that is complete I will let NWDI deploy to the dev portal.)
Incidentally, I am receiving this error on the dev server, not my local portal. (I have tried running on my local portal, but I am getting a socket timeout error. But this is interesting, because I <i>can</i> run other webdynpro non-Adobe apps. I am not tracking down this error at this point because I am really just interested in the dev server.  If I get past the 401 error on the dev server, and then get the socket timout issue...then I will worry about it.)

  • TS3540 my iphone wont connect to itunes because of invalid response please help

iTunes could not connect to my iPhone” because an invalid response was received from the device. i have tried updating my itunes and restarting my powerbook pro, i have even looked to remove the file "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist~orig" which wasn't there. I am losing the will to live!

The article you attached suggests you are running OS X 10.6.  Is this true?  If so, it is the cause of your issue.
The iPhone 5S, being a brand new machine, needs a new version of iTunes.  The current iTunes is 11.1.3.  That version requires at least OS X 10.6.8, and seems to do better with later versions.

  • Itunes could not connect to the ipad because an invalid response was received from the device

    Hello
I just installed the maximus v extreme motherboard with a ocz vertex 4 ssd with windows 7 x64. Installation was fine and installing drivers went without a hitch. Re-installing the software i use went fine as well.
However, when i went to use iTunes( v10.7) to sync my ipad i got an error message saying:
"Itunes could not connect to the ipad because an invalid response was received from the device"
I then connected my ipod nano to see if it will cause the same error, but it worked fine. So i tried an iphone and the same error I got for my ipad came up.
I tried reinstalling the usb drivers, but the same error came up. I also updated BIOS to the latest version, but the error still came up. I also reinstalled itunes numerous times and still got the error. I reinstalled and updated all drivers as well. Again this did not fix the issue. I also tried to run itunes in vista compatability and xp compatability mode. Again this did not fix the issue.
I have also followed all the steps apple recommends to do on their website with regards to this issue, again it did not fix the issue.
It is a real pain as everything else works like a dream! Is there anything i can do to get itunes to work properly on my pc?
    Thank you for your help!
    System specs:
    asus rampage v extreme motherboard
    OCZ vertex 4 SSD
    8 Gb DDR3 RAM (1600 mHz)
    windows7 x64
    Intel i7 3.5Ghz 1155
nvidia GTX295  (x2 running in Sli)

I fixed this problem.  Believe the problem is iOS 7 incompatibility with older iTunes Versions on older MacOS systems or platforms.
My iPad 2 would no longer sync with my old  PowerPC Mac mini running MacOS. My iPhone 3GS synced fine.  IPad2 updated to iOS 7 which doesn't run on my iPhone 3GS. Error message for iPad sync problem was "invalid response received from iPad" out of iTunes.  I then applied update iOS 7.1.2 to iPad and error message changed to indicate this version of iTunes not supported, use 11.1.
iPad 2 used to sync prior to iOS 7 installation.
Research on Apple web site shows iOS 7 on iPhones and iPads does not support older MacOS and iTunes versions.
Upgraded with new Mac mini and iTunes 11.1 and MacOS 10.9.2. (put this off as long as I could.  )
    all good now.

  • Exception while calling ADS Inappropriate WSIL Invalid Response Code: (401)

    Hi Experts,
Our ADS configuration was done on XCE a long time back and even reader credentials were installed and everything is working fine.
Couple of days back, we enabled SSL configuration on the system. Even got the certificates signed by CA and HTTPS is also working without any problems.
Then, problems are happening when we configured WebService SSL connection for ADS following the steps from
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/90/71d273fa724cc9bb644ab00405e6f8/content.htm and also the SAP How to guide from: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d02262d8-7814-2c10-5c97-d855d38e9923?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true.
Among other steps, I have created a View in Key Storage called "ADSCerts" and created an entry "ADSUser" as per the document, generated CSR request, imported CSR response and also the CA's root certificate.
I exported the ADSUser-cert certificate from here and imported into Identity Management for the User ADSUser under its Certificates tab.
Also updated SecureConfigPort_Document (in Destination Template Management under SOA Administration) security settings to X.509 Client Certificate and in Details, I have chosen the View ADSCerts and entry ADSUser.
Even after all the steps as per the document and the help.sap.com link provided above, when I try to test this through a test URL
(https://host:https-port/webdynpro/resources/company.com/test~wd/TestAdobeApp) that our developers have given me for this, I get a (401)

Opened an OSS message with SAP and they told me that the certificates being generated from NWA are in a different format from what is accepted in user store.
So, generated new certificates from OS level using sapgenpse and now it worked.

  • IPod Touch 'Invalid Response' message from iTunes on Vista

Just install iTunes 8.2 on my new ACER Laptop running Vista Home Edition.
When iPod touch connected to Laptop iTunes throws up the follow error message:
'iTunes could not connect to the iPod device-name because an invalid response was received from the device' I have tried reinstalling iTunes. All the services are running. Vista sees the device and I can browse the content with explorer, but iTunes does not.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Are you seeing any other messages in iTunes?
Try the general tips in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1852
Also, make sure the iPod touch is directly connected to a high-speed USB2 port on the PC, using the cable that came with it.

are there any special proxy-settings for the wsdl-loader?
i have configured the main http-proxy settings in nwa to locally access *.inndom.intern which works just fine for any other servers.
    any idea?
    thanks,
    kai

    Hello Kai,
We are having the same issue as well. Can you please explain what you meant by "proxy's fault"? If you got this issue resolved, please let us know what the steps were. It would immensely help!

    Andrew,
I think this error that you are getting is due to a bug in Coherence 3.7.0 which has been fixed in Patch 1, which has been released to My Oracle Support as patch 12530788.

  • TS4062 Invalid Response?

So I simply cannot sync my iPod to the computer with USB or Wi-Fi. Only because I keep recieving an error that reads my ipod is getting an invalid response. I have tried everything for the last two days and dont know what to do. My iPod is 4th Generation iPod touch, so it's very recent and has plenty of space for music.  Please help me, because I have no idea what is wrong or how to fix it.

    Hi liar-y0u-pay,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Since you are receiving an "invalid response" message when syncing using USB and Wi-Fi, I recommend focusing your troubleshooting on any security software installed on your computer first:
