Oct 07 Critical Patch - is it available for XE?

Recently there has been a new release for Oct 2007 Critical patch. A few machines running XE version in my network has been scanned and has detected that we need to patch it with the July and Oct 2007's Critical patchset.
But I am unable to find patchset for XE. I can only download those specificially for 9i and above in Metalink. Is there any patch applicable for XE under the Critical patchset?

The license agrement for XE includes 'there is no support from Oracle'. 'No support from Oracle' includes 'no patches'.

There are no CPUs for XE edition and the downloadable version is not patched either.
If security is an issue, you'll need to pay up for Standard Edition.
If it was the Windows-only issue from that CPU that is your concern, the other option is to go to XE on Linux.

Oracle Critical Patch Update July 2009 for Oracle BEA Releases

Hi All,
Researching in metalink about CPU's for WLS 9.1 I found Oracle Support Note #835668.1. Table 9 of this document
lists minimum product requirements for WebLogic server.
According to this table WLS 9.1 should have a minimum version of 9.2MP3.
I am confident that WLS 9.1 and WLS 9.2 are completely different WLS versions and there is no upgrade path from WLS 9.1 to WLS 9.2.
Is this table misprinted or is it required to replace all WLS 9.1 installations with WLS 9.2 installations?
What is this table trying to indicate?
Please assist.

Oracle Critical Patch Update fix a list of bugs , oracle will release CPU in every three months interval.
you need to click the link which oracle has sent.
then choose your database version===then select the patch number===then on metalink download the patch
with patch there is read me file which tell you how to apply the patch on the database.

Please be aware that in patch 11 the requirement that a delivery have a tracking number associated with it was lifted per multiple customer requests. Meaning, all deliveries that synch to web tools from B1 will trigger the messaging service to send a delivery notification if so enabled.
So, if you have deliveries in B1 that have no tracking number on them, when they synch to Web tools they will send the delivery confirmation email. Basically any delivery that exists in Web tools that does not have a tracking number has never been sent, and after patch 11 will be sent, so you may end up sending delivery confirmations to your customers for orders that were placed years ago.
Obviously this is not good. What you can do is use a local smtp server, which is recommended anyways, and monitor the pickup folder for emails that would be sent out. Pause the local smtp server BEFORE you upgrade to patch 11, watch the pickup directory and manually delete any emails that you don't want to go out.
As there may be a large number of emails that you do not wish delivered, you may wish to perform a search on that folder for files containing the text of the undesired emails, such as "Your order has been shipped". Move those emails to a seperate folder, then search for any emails that do not contain the current date, or the dates that you know delivery notifications have not been sent for. A great tool for this is Total Commander, and it's free.
There is also a switch in the Admin - config settings - messaging page that you can use to disable the sending of shipment notifications entirely. But make sure you restart the messaging service after you change this setting as the old setting might be cached in the service.

I see 4.2.0.124 patches listed as available for download

So has anyone actually gotten the 4.2 release yet ?

Please do not install new cumulative patches 4.1.4.13.9 and 4.2.0.124.1 due to some issues. It causes ACS services restart problem when ACS database includes NDGs.

How many Windows 7 SP1 x64 Critical Patches released by Novell for ZPM?
We only see 2? Is that what others seeing or is something wrong on our system we did do a rest few day ago that also disabled all patches. Did anyone one else had similar experience when they did rest ZPM it hindes all patches?

Not able to find out the OCT 2012 CPU patch for 11.2.0.3

I am trying to download the OCT 2012 CPU patch for the 11.2.0.3 to install on Linux x86-64 which is having OS of RHEL 5.7. I am able to get the OCT 2012 PSU patch which include the CPU patch too.

To remediate these prompts for the P6 EPPM Web Access module and the Contract Management product, Oracle Primavera will be releasing fixpacks. Until fixpacks become available, you can use the following workaround to suppress these prompts: Select the 'Allow' Prompt or 'Yes' prompt for successful loading of applets. Note: This prompt will occur for each applet.

I found the answer to my own question. For any newbies out there, if you create an account with Oracle, that is not enough to download patches. You have to have an Oracle Customer Support Identifier associated with your account. Once you have a CSI that you obtain through your employer who has paid for support or through some other means, you then can go into My Oracle Support and enter a request to be added to the given CSI. That request goes into a pending state until the administrator of the CSI grants you privileges to download patches. (NOTE: You might have to bug someone within your organization to get this to happen.) For me, once I was given the privilege, the link worked as it should.

It is the same patch number.
I see it as available for Linux x86-64, Linux x86, Windows 32bit and WIndows 64 bit.
Perhaps you want to install the new OCM for Oracle Support - it should help you get those patches without searching. ;-)

How to find description for the bugs fixed in a CPU ( Critical patch alert)

I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out WHICH BUGS are fixed in the recent Critical patch alert
I looked into the README file of the patch ( in my case its 8534387 for Solaris SPARC ) - but even in the README file there is only the list of the bugs fixed:

OrnaDo a BUG search using the BUG ID rather than a Knowledge Base search. After that if you look closely at those multiple documents you mentioned that was returned, there should be only one for your Platform and for your product. Ignore the rest and click on only the one relevant to your Platform and Product.
