OD binding problem with Netinstall Imaged Macbooks-"Record Exists"

Leopard 10.5.7
Many intel MacBooks All imaged from a netinstall image created from an identical unit.
Leopard 10.5.7 OD server
After using System Preferences-> Sharing to rename the MacBooks
Upon trying to bind to OD, after the FIRST unit successfully bound, subsequent units give a warning “Computer record already exists, do you want to overwrite?”
Somewhere I’m guessing there is a legacy identifier from the image that needs changing… can anyone tell me what I need to do to give these already imaged units a unique identifier?
Is there a command line instruction to reset? preference(s) to delete?

I'm a similar position... but just using a monolithic image build (the old fashion way... using DU/restore disk from an external drive). I'm in a serious time crunch and can't afford to spend any more time troubleshooting SIU, so I moved on to the old fashioned way.
Trouble is I cannot bind the client iMacs to the OD because a record already exists...
I tried your suggestion and got this error in Step 2:
