Odata Service For Employee Information
Hi Everyone,
I want to call the odata service related to employee profile. But unable to find that service in my sap system.
Can anybody tell me the name of the odata service which need to call from the gateway or from where I will get the name of the odata service related to employee information?

getting bad request means your URI is not correct. try with
http://<hostname>:<port>/sap/opu/sdata/iwcnt/employee/EmployeeCollection
let me know if you get any specific error with above query.
how can I connect to the HR system with GW? Is that can be done by using GW?
it depends if you will be getting employee details from SAP HR system which is separate from SAP NW GW or part of it. ie. based on your deployment scenarios(http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/3e/b1ea508f88bb7ee10000000a445394/content.htm ) and accordingly confuguration should be in place

Building Odata service for Purchase Requisition
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where I need to build a workflow approval service for Purchase requisition.
I want to build this service using the BOR/RFC option for itemwise approval of PR.
There are 2 BAPI's BAPI_REQUISITION_GETDETAIL and BAPI_PR_GETDETAIL but I am not getting the approach to get itemwise detailed information of a PR.
Could you please help me the steps taken to build this service.

I have configured Workflow Mailer Service for PO Approval and REQ Approval. For PO Approval Mail is coming correctly. But For Requisition Approval , Mail not coming. I have given 'REQAPPRV' in Correlation ID. What is error, did you check log file for details?

And also when I am calling the entity set 'EmployeeCollection' of the odata service it is giving the below error,
Kindly tell me, which will help me to cal the data of the EmployeeCollection entity set of the odata service. How I can connect to that odata with the help of the NetWeaver Gateway? And why this errors are coming? Do I need any authorization from our HR team of our company to connect to this odata service to retrieve data or the data should come automatically?

1.go to developer console in chrome by pressing F12.
2. Next go to network tab and refresh the application by pressing F5.
3.In the network tab you will see an OData service call being fired to fetch Employee collection data. 4.Right click on the call and open it in a new tab. There you can see the actual error message.
From the error you have posted it looks like, the Entity collection expects atleast one filter condition to be passed while calling the collection. Calling the Entity collection without any filter is equivalent to 'SELECT *' without any WHERE clause. However in this case the particular service enforces a where clause by specifying a $filter option. If no $filter is supplier it raises an exception which you get here. -
How to expose odata service for input parameter based procedure.
i have created one procedure in my schema.

How to use Alias name in OData service in SAP HANA
Hi,
I need to change one column name with alias of another name in odata service definition or odata url running in rest client. I am trying to give alias name with as key in the service definition like sql query.
ex:
There is one table with column name of PRODUCT_ID. I exporting that table via odata service to SAP UI. In the UI i dont want the product id column as PRODUCT_ID. It should be ike "Prodcut". Like we are using in SQL example
select "PRODUCT_ID" as "Product" from "producttab";
But i can't use as key for alias name. So i am getting syntax error.
I have tried in rest client also ie executing odata file in rest based service. But i got error only.
If anyone knows about this alias name in odata service, Please help me to resolve this issue..Hi Thomas

Actually in odata service definition i am using attribute and calculation views only. But in some case from the model view itself i need to use some alias names to the UI through odata service.
For example in attribute view i have some columns with name col1,col2... I am getting those columns in UI using odata service, for particular col2 column i need to change column name as product. And i am using the same view as source of another odata service in that service i need to change that column name as productname.
In that case i need alias name usage. So that only i am searching alias keyword in odata service.
Is there any possibility to use alias names in odata service. -

Transaction : SPRO->SAP Netweaver ->Gateway->OData Channel->Administration->General Settings->Activate and Maintain Services-
In service catalog -- I am unable to find OData services for the Launchpad designer.

Error in self service for my employee - Related Activities in MSS
Hi,
NW2004s SP9 EP7.0 ECC 6.0
we are trying to implement the self service for my employee in related activites functinality from the general information of team workset ( Team --> General informatio --> Related activities --> Self service for my employee ) in MSS which is a replicaiton of ESS in MSS functionality from the previous versions.
When
I click on any of the options like Personal data or Addresses it gives me a blank page with no information on it. (It does give a DONE message with error/warning message on the status bar of Internet explorer. The error message says getactivetrackingEntryValue() is null)
Do I need to do anything to get this page working. I do not see any config related to this.
Appreciate any inputs.

I think the note refers to note been able to display the general infromation iView itself. I have implemented the note and am able to see the genral information iView. My issue is I am not able to perform "Self service for my employees" in "related activities" iView.

Sanjay, I have raised the issue with SAP, in the mean while if you can please let me know the patches or a list of them that are requried thyat would be awesome. Sorry for asking you this, but the basis team here asks to tell them what is requried even though I do not have sufficient authorizations to check them.

How to link Employee-Trip with "Services for Object" Attachment.
Hello SAPients.
This is the scenario: I enter the TCode TRIP, enter a personnel number and hit enter, then click on the 'Subsequent Activities' link, then click on the button 'Services for Object', then click on the 'Attachment List' button, I see a list of attachments for the object.
The question is, does anybody knows the table relations to get from 'Employee-Trip' to this attachment list? I know that some of the information I need of the attachment list is stored in table SOOD. But I can't find a way to link from 'Employee-Trip' to the attachment list in SOOD.
Any help will be greatly appreciated <REMOVED BY MODERATOR>

ESS Address service for international employees.
Hello All,
We recently upgraded from 4.6c to ECC5.0 as part of this we upgraded our portal from ITS to webdynpro. We have ESS for US employees only. There is a employee who moved from Singapore to US. He is unable to update the address to US, So I updated the address in the SAP system from PA30 to US address. But the user when loggin in is still seeing the same error. The error details are as follows. Can anyone please help, this is very urgent!!!! This employee is one of the directors.

Removing links in Self-Service for My Employee
Hi
We are trying to implement BP ESS and MSS 1.0 on EP 7 and ECC 6.0. We have imported the source code into NWDI track and are able to make changes in the source code. Now our requirement is that we want to remove the link in "Self-Service for My Employee" under Related Activities iView. We couldnt find the application which shows this iView.
Path: MSS -> Team -> General Information under Related Activities.
Please help.

I have already tried modifying that DC. But I am unable to find the exact component (view). When I tried executing the application through NWDS its not showing "Related Activities" area and links. Also when we log in with a user who doesnt have any MSS rights "To display data, first select an employee" is displayed. And for MSS user whose configuration is not complete in R/3 "No data available" is displayed. Can this be controlled from R/3?

Please restore e-mail or at least give us some real information. Tech support is almost smug in their response for additional information. The iCloud status page has said the same thing since yesterday. A real dis-service. My business depends on this! Any one have any suggestions not being offerd by tech support or Apple? Anything at all?
