We are getting "
failed to automatically connect to I/PM system and retrieve data. Please correct the log in settings and reconnect.
Error: Failed to login. Exception: java.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: generic error
Recently we have upgraded our ECM to 11.1.1.8.0 from 11.1.1.6.0
ODC version is 10.1.3.5.1

When you are getting this error?
Are you using IPM commit driver for commiting the document from ODC?
If yes,did you check connection setting ,is it successful?

Currently, MapViewer needs a conection to an Oracle Database where MapViewer metadata is stored. You may be able to access external spatial data if there is a java implementation of an interface to access external native data. MapViewer provides a spatial provider implementation for shapefiles. I would like to load e.g. transaction data from SAP ECC system into SAP BI system.
The Loading process is hanging in processing step u201CSERVICE APIu201D.
The process in hanging in status "yellow" and then changed after a while to status u201Credu201D.

The following steps within Load process are yellow and then red:
Extraction (messages): Missing messages
Missing message: Request received
Missing message: Number of sent records
Missing message: Selection completed

Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : 2nd processing step not yet finished
Info IDoc 1 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Info IDoc 2 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Info IDoc 3 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK

this issue is related to the RFC but not the one which is communicating from BI to R/3 rather the one which is communicating from R/3 to BI follow these steps.
1. check your BI system logical name from the myself source system.
2. go the ECC and run the transaction sm59
3. go the ABAP Connection folder and search for your RFC which name would be by default as per your BI logical system name.
4. double click it and edit it now check whether the Target hostname or ip is OK.
5. In the logon tab check the client number User and password settings.
Save it and test it with both Connection Test and Remote Logon.

Of course you can.
Just have to have the RFC destinations in place and use the
CALL FUNCTION '....' DESTINATION '....'
commands in ABAP, check out the ABAP forums for more info.

Connection between portal (KM system) and external server.

Hello All,
I need to establish connection between portal (KM system) and external server. At external server, IIS and WebDAV are configured.
So for this reason, I have created an HTTP system and a webDAV repository manager at portal, but not able to connect to the external system.
I have created a webDAV template, but not able see it under KM systems to create a webDAV system, I have even restarted the portal, still no use
Please suggest, any prerequisites need to be done?

Yes, ofcourse i already followed the doc.... In the 20th page of the doc, it is said the portal needs to be started, for the WebDAV template to be seen. to go head and creat a WebDAV system under KM systems.
But even after restarting the portal, I cant find the already created WebDAV template. Any guess to reslove it...

[SOLVED] wicd fails to automatically connect to a network

I have just upgrade to kernel 3.6.5-1 and after that wicd fails to autoconnect to my wireless network which I have set "Automatically connect to this network" from wicd-curse.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Any idea on what causing the issue?

Do you think some more information might help?
Start with telling us your chipset. Check with lspci -nn (That would be two n's, not m)
Also, is it your router? Is it encrypted? WPA? WEP?
Can you see it with iwlist scan
Can you associate with the access point by hand?
Is there anything interesting in the journal (or logs)?
What DE are you using?
Is the WAN blocked? (Check with rfkill list)

I am new to this java field.Here i have a swing application with 2 input fields.Upon entering the values of 2 inputfields followd by submit button ,a connection to the backend SAP has to be created and the 2 input values has to be given as input and the data related to those fields has to be displayed in the table.
Till now i never created connection to SAP using a java application..i know only connection to Oracle..Can any one please help me out in this

To get things straight: both Oracle and SAP are company names. It's like asking "how to connect to IBM".
I assume you mean the E-Business Suite and R/3, respectively. In that case, your friendly SAP consultant will gladly help you out.

2 system PLM setup question - Connecting to another ECC system for master data

I have been tasked with setting up the latest version of PLM in our environment. We have a free standing PLM Server (ECC 6.0 EHP7, SP2 with PLMWUI 747, SP3) that we would like to connect to another ECC system (ECC 6.0 EHP5, SP4 with PLMWUI 701, SP4) for its master data. In trolling around google and the marketplace, there isn't any setup guide or anything that really explains what the options are. Does anyone know what the possible setup options are or even better provide links to documents that show how to set this up? Can PLM be setup in the way that we want it to be?

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of PLM documentation available.
I'm not sure I really understand what you need, but in essence, the PLM framework was developed using the SPI technology. That is, the Service Provider Infrastructure, which is a technology to split the UI from the business logic behind it. The idea is, in the end, you can have one single DB, connected to multiple systems and different types of UIs. (you can find some more details here: http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SPI/Home)
As far as I know, you have to do some customization in SPRO and maintain views /PLMB/V_RFC_DEST and /PLMB/V_RFC_LSYS. Everything else is done by the PLM framework via RFC connections.

My iPod Touch 4G won't automatically connect to any wifi networks and freezes whenever I try to connect manually. What can I do to fix this?

This has happened once before and fixed itself overnight somehow, but this time it's been over 24 hours and hasn't fixed itself. I can't even check was OS I have as a result. I'm not very tech savvy so I don't know how to fix it at all. This iPod was actually a hand-me-down from a friend of mine.
I've tried switching it to Airplane Mode in order to turn off the wifi entirely and then switching back but that hasn't helped. What can I do to fix this?

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Connecting Shuffle to phone system and dock

A friend of mine who works for a local non profit outfit wants to use an mp3 player to provide music for her voice mail system. She's considering a shuffle, but she wants the music playing 24/7, literally all the time. You can't simultaneously connect a shuffle to headphones (or other similar speaker) and the charger. Is there a dock that will let her keep the shuffle docked/charging while simultaneously playing music into her phone system?

ALL websites coming up as an untrusted connection, on a networked system and the other computers are not experiencing this so not the actual connection

My computer is suddenly not allowing any websites to connect. They all start with Untrusted Connection. It's EXTREMELY annoying. I just updated my Firefox version have restarted my computer twice. Failing to send and retrieve data from HTML page to BPEL

Automatic connection between call center and phone system

Dear friends,
I have one customer, they have a phone system in their call center.
When implemeting CRM 2007, they want to have an automatic connection betwwen their phone system and call center in CRM. This means when having a call from customers the call center system ( CRM 2007) searches automatically or updates the phone number ( this phone number is get automatically from phone system ).
Does this is possible in CRM 2007? Or if u have any solutions pls let me know.
