Odd appearance of documents and emails in 10.6.4

Since upgrading to Snow Leopard, occasionally documents and emails look on screen as though the "ink" had smeared. Also, there's sometimes a horizontal line across the listings in a specific mailbox. Is this a curable Snow Leopard problem, or does it mean my iMac, or at least its display, is on it's last legs?

You might check the Display perfs... could be set wrong.. just try a few different settings and see if anything helps.
How old is your iMac? That don't last forever, but, changing OS's shouldn't cause the failure....

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you.

what i meant to say, if i didn't say it clear enough, was how do i get rid of old documents and emails that are not currently in my document folder or in my email inbox.

Select the email/s you want to get rid of and then select delete. When all the emails are deleted, select your Trash mailbox, select all the emails and then select delete.
Documents you can drag to the trash (lower right side of Dock). Then empty the trash.
Then stop down to your local bookstore and get some books on Mac OS X.

How do I extract each page from a long document and email to separate adresses?

So here's my current situation. I have about a 200 page long PDF document. Each page has an individual customer number on it. Currently, I print out the 200 pg doc and email each one separately to the corresponding customer in numerical order.
First of all, is there a way that I can extract the 200 pg document into 200 individual documents with one page each? Second, is there an efficient way to mass email the 200 customers with their corresponding document only, without seeing the other 199 documents?

Can you email documents and emails into Skydrive.

Skydrive is a very good function but two things I can't find on the 800 is any way to
1. Save an email to Skydrive and
2. Send a document by email to Skydrive.
Evernote has this facility and it is really useful for storing emails from Amazon, Ticketmaster etc whilst awaiting delivery, but I can't find any way of using Skydrive for this, which is a pity as I, have much more storage there.

afaik you can't mail a document to skydrive, I agree that would be a useful feature.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

How do I right click on a document and email with outlook?

Right now I right click, and under share it offers only airdrop or messages. There is no email option. I would rather not have to open a seperate email window and then drag and drop the document. This seems so tedious. Any suggestions?

A few suggestions in this post, they may do what you want. I use Apples Mail client and this does give the option to email from Finder, hopefully one of the suggestions in the post will help.

A recent pages document and email opened with a bunch of garbled lines about 1/4 high

I opened a recently saved pages doc 5o find it filled with lines about 1/4" high filled with bits of text & pics. Email screens have same thing! What could cause this? My ipad opens email just fine.

Draw document saved as PDF and emailed is faulty when printed

Each month I create 12 parish-magazine pages of advertisements in Draw, save the set as a PDF document and email it for printing. Consistently, when printed some pages are reproduced smaller than the rest.
Can someone tell me why, please?

First-base solution: the pages in question run into the printer's margins and the driver is set to shrink the pages rather than crop them. Check what the printer's margins are and ensure that the document's margins are the same or larger. This sort of problem can arise when you are printing on a printer not connected to the Mac where the document is created (so you don't get a warning).

PDF and email issue

Not sure where to post this. My problem is this: my tax agent sent me a tax organizer in the PDF format where I enter all of our tax information. I completed the document and emailed it back. When he opens it, the only information that shows up are check marks that I put in certain boxes. No text, no figures. My tax guy is using a PC. I then sent it to another PC user friend and he had the same result.
Is this an issue on my end or the PC end? Any ideas?

He probably created the PDF fill-in form in Adobe Acrobat. These forms often don't work properly unless both parties have the same version of the full Acrobat product (Standard or Pro).
It's also possible that you worked on the document in Preview rather than Acrobat, another case in which the form fields may or may not work.
If you don't have Acrobat on your Mac, you could download the free Acrobat Reader and try this again. Version 8 and later are supposed to support filling in form fields. Version 9 is the current release.
