Odd Display Issue streaking to the right

Hi, I had recently inherited an old mac g4 agp 400mhz with the original ati video card. I'm currently using the hp w2207 widescreen monitor that I use with my pc. I am using the old vga input on it and the DVI input for the PC. The problem I am having is that everything is streaking to the right. Im not sure if the video card is just old or it's an issue with vertical refresh or something. The monitor defaults to 1680 x 1050 60hz. Since the card does not have that setting I have been using switchresX to force the resolution. I do not think that this is what is causing the problem since in any of the old default resolutions still have this problem. I have also updated the drivers with only give me limited setting for opengl. I believe this is a problem with the OS GUI, some sort of shadowing window effect gone wrong. But I cannot find any options to turn it off. I'll try and post a picture..

Hmm flashing PRAM has seemed to help. The streaking is still there but not very visable. Things seem to be getting better as I leave the computer running. Might just be the old electronics needing to warm up a bit. I once had an old moog synth that sat for years and didn't really work when first turned on but if you let it sit for 4 hours and warm up it would be good to go. Thanks everybody for your help

Also we are having Mac book pro's (Late 2009 & 2010) after upgrading them to 10.8.5. Unable to launch the mac, getting only white screen with apple icon.
Let me know is there any specific Hardware (Graphic Cards) we need to use for the same.
Please provide me the early solutions.

Hi, try this first...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.

To display a text on the right hand corner of an ALV list in SAP

Hi All,
I need to display a text on the right most corner of the ALV list output where there are some details present at the top of the list.
I tried using the statement
CONCATENATE space space space space space space space space space space
              space space space space space space space space space space 'required text" INTO ls_line-info.
This ls_line is of type slis_listheader. But this statement did not work.
Can anyone please help me how do i display this "required text" at the right most corner above the ALV list?

You will have to use I_CALLBACK_HTML_TOP_OF_PAGE instead of I_CALLBACK_TOP_OF_PAGE.

Columns of info inside folders display too far to the right?

When I open a folder the columns of info, such as Date Modified, Size, Kind, etc. are always waaaaay off to the right and I have to scroll to the right to see this info. How can I set it so that all of this info displays closer to the file name by default? What I'm wondering is if there is a way to set it up so I do not have to drag the columns closer each and every time I need to see the other columns of info in my folders.

Thanks for this valuable infiormation, as if I couldn't have guessed that (sorry for beeing sarcastic, but your post has ZERO informational value for me).
Of course it is independent, but it doesn't change the fact that it isn't there anymore and I couldn't find the xfce package (which probably isn't installed yet) responsible for it.
Ok, found it -_-. In previous versions this was more intuitive, and why the hell did they change the plugin behaviour? I liked the volume control popup more than opening the whole mixer tool.

Sometimes my screen display suddently slides to the right and disappears totally. This is especially annoying when I was reading an email or doing a puzzle

Sometimes when I was typing an email and doing a puzzle, my screen would slide to the right side and disappeared. Why?

If you see something like this:
You're seeing the Dashboard, and you've accidentally performed the gesture which evokes it (three fingers slid to the right). You should be able to slide three fingers left to get back to the desktop; but you can turn off keyboard access to this screen by going to System Preferences - Mission Control, and unchecking "Show Dashboard as a space".

MacBook Pro odd display issue, won't run anymore

This is a 2006 MacBook Pro 15" A1211 Intel core 2 duo 2.16 model. Diagnostics says nothing is wrong. The computer is no longer functional as it won't go beyond this screen. Any ideas what failed on this? Initially the odd video pattern was intermittent and if you booted a few times you'd get in and be able to use the computer and could get in via safe mode, but not any longer.

This is not a petty software issue. You Mac has a hardware problem, and you need to get it looked at.
You can make an appointment at the genius bar at your local Apple store, and they will evaluate it for nothing, in warranty or out of warranty.

App store billing issue (prob not the right place for this but i couldn't find a better one)

I have been using the same card for my itunes account for as long as i have had an itunes account and a personal credit card, all of a sudden about a week or so ago while trying to update some applications on my iphone it asked me to sign in and confirm my billing information, from that day on it has refused to recognise the security code for my credit card or any other credit card for that matter, has anyone else had a similar issue with billing for their app store/itunes account and if so is this something that can be fixed easily without sending the device out or going to a repair centre
the most frustrating thing of all is all of the updates i need to install are free updates for applications that were also free :-/

Nw8440 northbridge issue, looking for the right mobo replacement

hi,
i'm my nw8440 mobile workstation (T7400, FireGL V5200, 15.4" WUXGA) seems to have some northbridge issues and i'm looking for mobo replacement.
As i can read from "Maintenance and Service guide" it does share the same mobo (SPS 416397-001) with nc8430 and nx8420. But is it really the same? Because my nw8440 is equipped with a soldered gpu FireGL V5200 instead the other ones have a X1600.

Excel output display issue after exporting the report

Hi All.
We are using BI Publisher with Oracle retail for report generation.While exporting report in excel format , after saving the file we are not able to see the data.
When we do a Format-->Autoformat and select one of the options, we can see the data .
What could be the possible reason for this?Can i do anything to avoid this.
Is there a possibility of checking excel log to see how the Excel treating the incoming data.If yes, how can we check the excel log(failed to find anything on this).

Hmm.. Not really sure. Have you checked your Financial Reporting preferences on Workspace? Couple of things to look for:
- Export to Office Application options
- User Point of View options
I would just check the preferences and test various options.

I have tried to display a hd video downloaded from the store on my Samsung hd tv. Message on MacBook pro retina says that display does not support the right type of drm. What's going on here?

Cannot display hd video from MacBook pro via hdmi on my Samsung hg tv. Says wrong type of protection for drm or words to that effect. This is a big pain

Instead of inadequate attempts to explain this here with fragments of code that we can't do anything with because we don't possess the objects and data they're based on, show us something. Create the objects and some sample data in a workspace on apex.oracle.com and post guest developer credentials. Sketch the required chart or mock it up in a spreadsheet and upload it as an image or PDF so we can see what you're aiming for.

T440s No display issue

Dear All,
I have T440s laptop with no display issue , after press the power button nothing coming but you can see Speaker mute indicator & Microphone mute indicator both are ON but no display , I try to hold power button for 5 second to get both indicators off and try to power on laptop again but that is not happen even after remove the external battery!! I decided to remove the internal battery and connect again after that the laptop getting display and work normally. I need somebody to explain why this happen and also anybody received the same issue?

Pixelated enlarged screen - display issues related to external hard drive

Hi. I had an external hard drive plugged into my macbook. I have a second monitor hooked up. My screen is pixelated and enlarged (I have to scroll to see the whole desktop). The icons are rearranged and very blurry. Everything is blurry and enlarged. My files will open, but they are all blurry as well. When I noticed these display issues, I realized the mac was not detecting the hard drive that was plugged into the usb port. I unplugged it and then a LOT of folders with the hard drive name appeared on the desktop and then disappeared. I know I may have misstepped by unplugging it, but what can I do now? I have rebooted, shut down, checked zoom and screen resolution settings, and unplugged the monitor. It's the same when I uplug the second monitor and just view my desktop on the mac. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
