Odd LV 2009 Snippet Behavior - Please confirm

While helping out in this thread I encountered an odd behavior with snippets. If you try to place the snippet onto a block diagram you will encounter the "searching" dialog box when it's looking for the typedefs. If you click on the "Ignore Item" each time the snippet will eventually load with a whole lot of broken stuff. OK. Let's say that instead of clicking on the "Ignore Item" you let the search continue until you get the file dialog asking you to locate the file in question, and you "Cancel" out of each one. Sometimes I was left with a completely blank block diagram, and I couldn't close the VI. I could close the block diagram window, but not the front panel. Also, LV seem to hit 100% CPU. If I did not close the block diagram and I tried to copy the snippet over again I'd get a black circle with a diagonal line through it indicating the operation was not allowed. Can someone check to see if they see the same thing happening?

Interesting. Here is what I did recently. I have some hacked code that lets me drop snippets into LV8.6 (with the BD in run mode). I was testing it out, but instead of choosing some simple snippet, I accidently dropped some mess with subVIs etc. Working as it should, I got the search dialogs, but I did the usual tap-dance to cancel them. In the end, nothing, and then the black circle. Of course since I was dealing with my own code and hacking Windows, I put the blame squarely on myself. I remember a LV restart was required to set things straight.
This sounds very similar, and I suspect the same effect is in play. You are well aware of the dance that is Windows messages and all of the hooks, callbacks, etc. It appears that LV is not handling that properly, when you cancel, it just drops the ball and tries to move on. Windows, apparently is desperately trying to finish a drop, and won't let you drop something else until the first one is complete.
Now I have just hung my LV9 by canceling a search (from the file browser) during a snippet drop. Thanks alot!

Sorry, but that opportunity has long passed. Your options now are:
Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

Erroneous technet article - please confirm accurate info

The technet article 'Configure Client-Specific Message Size Limits on Client Access Servers' found here:

says the message size limit can be set on the Exchange 2013 client access server by changing the web.config file found here:

The missing backslash doesn't bother me, but in fact, no Sync folder exists under ClientAccess on a client access server which serves only the client access server role. This folder
and file does exist on the mailbox server.
I have modified the file on the mailbox servers, per the instructions, hoping for the best, knowing much functionality has been moved from CAS to mailbox in Exchange 2013. Perhaps the technet instructions refer to Exchange 2010 and have not been updated
or verified.
Can someone please confirm with the Exchange team regarding the issue and get back to me? Please do not guess and do not suppose, please forward my inquiry to the appropriate person at Microsoft.

Please confirm use of mini DVI-Video (s-video) cable with Macbook

Hi,
I have tried to use the Mini DVI-> Video cable with my new Macbook in order to be able to connect to my TV.
Unfortunately it doesnt work, I do get the resolution change when I plug in the cable but nothing on the TV. I went back to the local Apple center and they tested the cable on a Powerbook G4, it worked flawlessly. Then they tried a monitor on my Macbook's DVI port, it also worked.
But when trying the mini DVI to Video cable on the Macbook, no luck!
Can anybody please confirm they have used this cable and connected successfully to a TV?? Using either the s-video option or composite?

I can confirm that the s-video connection to a standard CRT TV using the mini-DVI video adapter does NOT work with my MacBook.
The display is detected, and when mirroring is enabled, the resolution on the MacBook display is adjusted, but the TV doesn't display the MacBook signal. Instead, I get a black screen or some random flickers of color. Following the instructions in the help files, I've adjusted the resolution down to its lowest level with no success.
My guess is that this is related to the fact that the integrated graphics relies on system RAM, and I am running my machine with the stock 512 Mb RAM it shipped with (2 GB are on their way).
On the off chance it would help, I even tried closing the display, in hopes that the memory savings from turning off the MacBook display would enable the TV signal, but no luck.

The iPhone bought unlocked from the Apple store in the US will work in Brazil on GSM. Nevertheless the LTE frequencies might be different.
Be aware that:
You will NOT be able to order from the US Apple online store. You will have to go to a physical Apple store in the US.
The warranty is only valid in the US and you will not be able to get warranty service in Brazil.
With all of that, why not buy the iPhone in Brazil?

But I have tried this today and my IPad just stated Unsupported accessory.
