Odd problem with purchased music from ITMS

Hi everyone. I purchased some songs on a friends computer via itunes with my account, but when bringing them over to my computer itunes asked me to authorize my computer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Although you bought them on your account, iTunes has attached them to your Friends account - being the machine you downloaded them on. Your options are:
1. Contact the iTunes Store and try and sort it out with them or
2. Burn the tracks to CD on your friends machine and then import them to yours.

  • Problem with trasferring music from itunes to Iphone 3Gs.

    Hi
I have a problem with trasferring music from Itunes to Iphone and that is,
as soon as I finish transferring music to my Iphone, Itunes suddenly stops at the stage of where it says (at the top-centre of the screen), 'Sync Min's Iphone'.
Due to this reason, I've restored my Iphone a couple of times and reinstalled itunes but same problem occurs whenever I try to transfer music.
It appears music are successfully transfered since I could play the music on my Iphone but I wanna fix the problem since it's pretty annoying.
is there anything I can do about it?
    Thanks

Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes (8.2.1?). If so, I'd reinstall iTunes, if the phone is otherwise working fine.

  • Problems with 'Purchased' Music showing up as 'Error' in Match

I'm mystified by one aspect of iTunes Match behaviour.  I have a large collection of U2 songs, some of which I had ripped from CD and some of which, latterly, I bought through iTunes.  As you can see, most of the songs I have were found and matched by iTunes without a problem.
What I don't understand is why I am seeing Error against the songs from 'No Line On the Horizon' and 'Zooropa' when these were purchased from iTunes.  They are definitely in my Library because I can manually locate them.
Additionally, I don't understand why for two of the songs, Zooropa and Lemon, it wants me to download them again as 'Purchased'.  Why those two and not the others with Errors against their name?  I bought the No Line and Zooropa tracks from Apple to begin with.
Thirdly, it appears from the iTunes list above that I have two copies of Zooropa when in fact I only have one.  I can easily find the files in Finder as you can see from the screen shot below.
I don't really want to have to re-download all the songs that iTunes can't find as this will mean I just have duplicates. Equally, I don't want to have to re-attach or re-import Error songs that I know are on my HD and which have somehow been dropped by the iTunes Match process.
And I get terribly confused in this process of syncing and matching if I try to delete some of these duplicate entries, because frankly if I delete something and it's removed from iCloud and all my devices, I'm no longer quite sure what I'm removing and where from.
I have backup but should it be this difficult?

    It can become confusing.
An easy route to resolve would be simply to copy your U2 Songs to a standalone folder (outside iTunes).  Delete the Song files from iTunes (including the option to remove from the iCloud).  Once complete, turn iTunes Match off, go to the iTunes Store 'purchased' area and access all your U2 purchases.  From the U2 folder import any further U2 songs that were not purchased from iTunes.
Now sign-out of iTunes Store, restart computer from cold, start iTunes, sign-in to iTunes Store, start iTunes Match and allow is to complete the 3-step process.
At this point iTunes will correctly recognise all your purchased Songs and for the remainder will have successfully 'matched' or 'uploaded'.
This should leave your library in a stable working condition, with iTunes Match enabled and all U2 Songs.

Still no purchased music on my IPOD.

Try deauthorizing and reauthorizing your computer. Repeat the deauthorization and reauthorization process for any other iTunes Music Store accounts for which your computer is authorized.
1.Double-click one of your affected iTunes Music Store songs.
2.Enter your account name and password in the resulting dialog.
    3.Click OK.
After you've deauthorized and reauthorized your computer, open iTunes, select your iPod, and choose Update iPod from the File menu. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring your iPod.
After you've restored your iPod, open iTunes, select your iPod, and choose Update iPod from the File menu. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try recreating your iTunes library.

  • Problem with streaming music from iTunes to iPhone

Hello all, I have a problem for which I have not been able to find a solution despite multiple Google searches. I can't seem to access ALL my music from the Macbook Pro (13", 2011, latest OSX) on my iPhone 5. I've turned on home sharing on iTunes. From the music app, I can access my library from my iPhone. The problem is, several songs are missing from the library! I just can't seem to make all of my iTunes music available for streaming (I have 30+ gigs worth of music on my Mac).
Strangely enough, all of my music is accessible from my AppleTV. In fact, using the Remote app on my iPhone, I can my iTunes library in its entirety. The problem is, the Remote app only lets you stream to the AppleTV or play the music on the computer speakers. Sometimes, I just want to stream the music to the iPhone so I can llisten to it through headphones.
Is there a solution to this problem? Is there a limit on how much music the iPhone can access over WiFi? That doesn't seem to be a problem for AppleTV.

My music has been accumulated over many years and is from multiple sources. Most of the missing songs were not purchased from iTunes and I've only ever had one AppleID. The thing is though....most of the available songs were also not purchased from iTunes.

  • Problems with transferring music from itunes to ipod

Hello, I've never had problems with iTunes but this issue amazes me! I emptied my whole iTunes Library the other day, and added a whole load of new songs. Then, when I was finished with my selection I connected my iPod Nano to USB portal at my pc. iTunes recognised the iPod and also said: bijwerken.. niet loskoppelen (moving files, don't disconnect). This takes 2 seconds and then it says the iPod is ready with transferring files.
Then I notice that no files where moved at all. My iPod is empty for two days now and It's killing me !! hehe, please help ?!

  • Problems with syncing music from PC to Ipod touch 4 G

Hi, added new music to iTunes and then I tried to sync it with my iPod (touch 4g) but I didn't succeed. It seemed that Itunes runs properly showing following information: ”starting  synchronization”, “preparing for synchronization”, “establishing programs to synchronize”, “synchronizing” and at end “syncing completed” (ad hoc translation form Polish) but without any result which means no file was transferred, What went wrong? That was my second attempt to sync ipod with PC computer. First one was successful, all files were transferred automatically without any problem. The last thing which I tried to do before second syncing attempt was request for downloading missing covers for albums. Do you have any idea what happened? Thanks for help in advance.

When the instructions say restore from backup the iPod will also be updated.

  • Problems Downloading Purchased Music From iTunes Store

I recently purchased an album from the iTunes store and received a notice saying one song couldn't be downloaded. This song originally showed up in gray and couldn't be clicked on, played, etc and did not show any way to properly download it without purchasing the song again. Based on my calculations, I was still charged the full amount of the album despite not being able to download one of the songs. How do I go about downloading this song without paying the $1.29 again? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

in the itunes store click on Purchased under the Quick Links section
Navigate to the music you want to re download and click on the Cloud icon to the right of it.
It will download a fresh copy at no extra cost

    Can any one please assist.

    - You may be trying to download at high traffic hours and your connection speed cannot handle it. (make sure you are using broadband)
    - Your computer's firewall or antivirus software may be interfering with the connection. If you have just recently installed upgardes to the iTunes software or your computer's security software, you may need to reconfigure it to allow access to the iTunes appliction. If configuring does not work, you will need to disable the firewall completely and then attempt to resume the download.
    Hope this helps!

  • Problems playing purchased music from account

I have been having trouble getting audi playback on my itunes account. We recently installed itunes on a new desktop computer in our basement. I purchsed 2 songs which downloaded. I authorized the computer to play and was able to playback both songs (the only two in the library) This was our 5th computer authorized on this account. When I synch'ed the ipod to transfer all purchased songs (about 165), they all showed in the computer library, bu now none will play, including the two I just purchased.
Not sure if it is related, ut another computer at work which had been previously authorized could not play samples nor would it allow me to purchase songs. Anyone have any ideas?

Email iTunes support using the form at the bottom of this page & they'll let you redownload the songs - It sounds like the files didn't download correctly.

  • Problems when copying music from CD to i-Pod library

Does anyone have problems with transferring music from a CD to the itunes?
When i do this the CD sometimes sticks / jutters
    What should i do?
    SIMPLE answers please!
    Thank you

    Hi,
Some music, like in normal CD, is in just CD music format (I dont know what they're called), and iTunes will automatically convert into format you specify (for example, if you would like iTunes to convert it into mp3, then select mp3) some CD are in mp3 format, but this is generally by individual, not retailer CDs.
