Can u guys tell me where can we download ODI 11g for a 64bit system. I have it for 32 bit but need it for a 64 bit.

Hi,
You have to take the generic version "for All platforms" on this page : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/data-integrator/downloads/index.html
The Windows version is only for 32bit architecture.

Unable to enter Agent name and port details while doing ODI (11.1.1.6) installation on Solaris

Unable to enter Agent name and port details while doing installation on Solaris, Installation wizard is moving slowly and at 'Specify Agent Details' page it is not allowing me to enter the details and now I am not able to continue installation.
Please let me know if I am missing anything and there is any solution.

When installing it; check the option to run compatibility check in Windows XP and install it.
Please go to the below path and check for full read write access for the file/folder.

We are using ODI 11.1.1.6 version.
In my ODI project, we have separate installations for Dev, Test and Prod. i.e. Master repositories are not common between all the three. Now my code is ready in dev. Test environment is just installed with ODI and Master and Work repositories are created. Thats it
Now, I need to know and understand what is the simple & best way to import the code from Dev and migrate it to test environment. Can some one brief the same as a step by step procedure in 5-6 lines?
Some questions on current state.
1. Do the id's of master and work repositories in Dev and Test need to be the same?
2. I usually see in export file a repository id with 999 and fail to understand what it is exactly. None of my master or work repositories are named with that id.
3. Logical Architecture objects and context do not have an export option. What is the suitable alternative for this?

In case of scenario you need not to bother about model/datastores. keep in mind that the logical schema name should be same in QA as used in your DEV.

If you are not exporting topology then you need to manually create context and other physical connection/logical connection.

Did you use the generic installer or the win32 one ? You should use the former with Win64.
You can also check that your version of Java is supported in the certification matrix.

Configure a single ODI install for multiple Data Sources in ERPI

I am setting up multiple data sources in ERPI to point to different EBS instances. How would I go about setting up ODI to support that without multiple installations of ODI? or is multiple installs the best way to go, from an 'ease of management' perspective?

First off - Have no knowledge of ERPi - Just googled it.
If its any help, we have multiple instances of EBS on the same box, we have seperate DWH (and ODI Work / Master Repos) environments aligned to these instances. An ODI Agent can only communicate with one ODI Work repository, hence we have Multiple Agents so we can use the EBIZ -> DWH pairs simultaneasouly.
Maybe someone will come along and tell us how it could work differently, until then - its works for us!

OBIEE 11.1.1.7 installation issue- Patches install error

I am trying to install the OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 apss with odi on a virtual machine. I have installed ODI, OBI, ran the rcu for bi apps and installed the bi aspps also succesfullly without any error. I am trying to apply patches and I am getting below errors when I run the perl scripts as per the instructions.

Installing ODI 11.1.1.3g

Gurus.
I have a few questions on installing ODI 11g, I have 10g installation experience could you please assist me with these questions:
1. Is there a 64 bit download version of ODI 11g that I can download and install on server 2008 EE R2 x64?
2. Can I install any ODI Studio on 11.1.1.3 on a 64 bit server
3. Do I need to use the RCU before I install ODI or I can judt connect to the the master repositories similar to the version 10.1.3.5 installation.

1.) I dont think there is a 64 bit version of ODI 11g. ODI 11 series is based on JDev which inturn is only available in a 32 bit version.
2.) ODI Studio can be installed on a 64 bit machine but you will have to install 32 bit version of Java on that machine and point ODI to that.
3.) You dont need RCU. Of course, you will need 11g compliant repositories to connect. You can install ODI Studio and then create repositories using ODI Studio.

I couldn't find any info about this in the 7 Series Config User Guide. Does this apply to the 7 Series FPGAs?

I am trying to install ODI11g.
At the time of installation of ODI11g it gives us many options like
ODI Studio,
ODI SDK,
Standalone agent,
Java EE Agent,
ODI COnsole,
Public Web Service
I am unable to make a decision what to install.
We have our master and work repositories in a diifferent data base.
We are trying to install ODI in an application server which is linux.
We are going to develop ODI interfaces by connectiong to application server(we have Multiple users)
Can anyone suggest me what all i need to install?

I would just share my opinion there might other experts who can give you more precise answer

need to installed when you select ODI as the Server
and ODI Studio as the Client installation.
Java EE Agent,
ODI COnsole,
Public Web Service
this option comes into the picture when you need to call the ODI scenario using web server and In ODI 11g instead of Metadata navigator we have odiconsole and to trigger scenario you would need to use Java EE agent and to use Java EE agent , ODI Console , Public Web Service . You would need to install in the weblogic.
Also Please look into this Oracle documentation for more information .

Installing ODI 11G to existing oracle/middleware instance

We have Oracle EPM 11.1.2 and I need to install ODI 11G. On the installation prompt it is asking me for JDK location.
Can I use the existing Oracle/Middleware/jdk160_11 that was established ruing the EPM install? Or should I do a seperate install of JDK to be used by ODI?

My curent enviromen tis ODI 11.1.1.5 G ORACLE databse 11g .so i want to upgrade to ODI 11.1.1.6 ,
Please let me know the what all steps are required.
I need to install any pacth for ODI 11.1.1.6 or need to create new ODI 11.1.1.6 installer and what about database reposotiries.
I have only one database user for master and work repository.

Hi Srinivas,
You need to go for fresh 11.6 installation(Its not a patch release which is discussed in the forum earlier). Its not required to uninstall 11.5 version.But it depends on you if you want to uninstall the previous version.
Then after 11.6 installation call the ua.bat to upgrade your repositories.
