ODS activation error after system copy

Hi all,
we are getting error on activation of request in ODS. I ran RSRV tests on the ODS "Check How Up-To-Date the Generated Programs of an ODS Object Are "
Result was :
Activation program is not current
Difference in line: 1469
Lines in temporary program: i_logsys = 'BWS300'
Lines in active program: i_logsys = 'BD2300'
Activation program has to be generated again
I had clicked Correct Error in RSRV and the problem was resolved.
I have also done the following steps as mentioned in sap note 518426, but did not solve my problem
Execute transaction "RSSGPCLA".
Set the status of the programs belonging to program classes
"RSDRO_ACTIVATE", "RSDRO_UPDATE" and "RSDRO_EXTRACT" to "Generation required".
To do this, select the program class and then activate the "Set
statuses" button. Important: Reset the three named program classes
only.
I have this issue with all ODS objects. It is very time consuming to run the above RSRV task for all ODS objects.
Is there any program that I can run to regenerate activation program for all ODS objects?

Not very sure it would resolved the issue ,but have a look at note# 886102.

The source system is hard-coded in the generated program for the
DataSource. This leads to problems after the logical name of the source
system (BDLS) is converted.

this error message "smells" extremly like RCLSTG *DBXREF !
If this problem is still your pronblem, I would run this command - in restricted mode - takes only about 30-60 minutes ...

Errors after system copy ...

I have restored a backup of PRD to QAS successfully ... for system copy...
I have created ops$ users with following statments..
create user ops$qlyadm identified externally default tablespace PSAPSR3USR temporary tablespace PSAPTEMP quota unlimited on PSAPSR3USR ( sidadm)

Successfully created control file & managed to take the database up...

I have followed notes

after that
alter sytem sapr3 account unlock;

ODS/PSA Problems after System Copy

Hello All....i am a basis admin and am having problems with PSA after performing system copy. I have copied R/3 (source system) ans SCM (source system) and BW (3.5)systems from production into test environment in parrallel. I have performed all required BDLS steps on R/3, SCM, and BW as well as maintenance of RSLOGSYSDEST table. All profiles and ports (we20/we21) have been maintained as well. I have modified and tested all RFC connections and have used RSA1 to restore the source system connections and to activate and replicate. When activating ODS objects, the following error is generated...
There is no PSA for InfoSource 8ZFAP_O01 and souce system PB1CLNT510.
PB1CLNT510 references former production BW logical sys and correct logical sys should be QB1CLNT510. Apparently BDLS has missed a table or I have skipped a step in my post-clone process of BDLS and WE20/21. I am wondering if there is a re-initialization or logical system conversion step i have missed or is anything else i can do to resolve this issue.

Hello Chris,
This InfoSource is related to a DataSource in which the source system is BW system itself (in your case: QB1CLNT510).
Try to first activate the DataSource 8ZFAP_O01 using the standard program (SE38): RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL in which you should input the source system (QB1CLNT510) and the InfoSource 8ZFAP_O01. If you get a green light in the log that appears after the activation completes in which it says that all the structures have been activated, then all you need is to locate the DataSource in RSA15 and right click -> replicate.
If the log showed you that this DataSource doesn't exist, then you'll need to Activate the source system QB1CLNT510 again.

ITAB_DUPLICATE_KEY Error after system copy

I am facing with the following error after the system copy of SAP ERP 2005 on Windows migrated from MS SQL to SAP DB.
By entering into the db-relevant tcodes (DB13, etc.) the following error appears:

Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "CL_DB6_SYS====================CP" had to be
terminated because it has come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Error analysis
An entry was to be entered into the table "\CLASS=CL_DB6_SYS\DATA=SYSTEMS"
(which should have had a unique table key (UNIQUE KEY)).
However, there already existed a line with an identical key.
The insert-operation could have ocurred as a result of an INSERT- or
MOVE command, or in conjunction with a SELECT ... INTO.
The statement "INSERT INITIAL LINE ..." cannot be used to insert several
initial lines into a table with a unique key.
Has some one any ideas how to solve the problem?

NWDI error after system copy

Dear All,
We have copied our NWDI system ( NW04s Java SP08) to a new host, while doing the post install steps we are facing numerous errors.
Changing the Domian data went fine. But when we try to update the urls in indivudual tracks we get CBS communication failure error. As mentioned in the system copy guide we changed the Idle start value of the CBS to true through visual admin and then tried but still the error remains the same. How to correct the error ?
And is there any way to do a NWDI refresh i.e delete everything that is existing including the tracks and configure the NWDI from scratch.

i read note 145029 on the same problem which says i should copy CONPUTTB.TAB to BIN folder of Upgrade directory, but i am not sure i have upgrade directory in my system as there is no any PUT directory inside folder 'USR\SAP' as said in upgrade guide. is it because i build a system from an export image of the upgraded system? And will i be able to do it only on the Main system (on which upgrade was perform).
I seen a tcode SRTT0 which generate PUTTB entries but it did not generate for me?
any comment would be appreciated.
As suggested i allready opened up message with SAP for the same will let know result once i finished it.

      I am getting a short dump with " "DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL" CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DBC " error when I am trying to activate an ODS after changing its structure. Do I need to change any setting before loading the data in to the ODS after adding few more fields to it. Exact error says

The above-described symptom is due to a program error during the transfer of error messages. The problem can occur, for example, if a hierarchy is activated during the activation of an ODS object.
If the indicator 'BEx Reporting' is set for the ODS object, entries are created in the SID tables of characteristics involved during the activation of requests for this ODS object. Newly-created SID values must then be inserted into hierarchy tables. This is not possible for reasons of consistency if a hierarchy is activated at this time. The RRHI_CHAVLS_REQUEST_TO_HIERA function module is used for inserting newly-created SID values in hierarchies.
To simplify the search for the cause of the problem, additional error messages are now displayed in the monitor. If the problem is triggered, for example, by the simultaneous activation of a hierarchy, the error message RH 14 is issued. As described in note 717967, this error message contains the name of the affected hierarchy. If the activation of an ODS object is cancelled due to a serious error, this now also causes additional entries in the log of transaction SM21 (Syslog). These entries start with the character string '> RSDRO':.

Error in collecting transfer Rules in transport request after system copy

Hello,
Recently we had a system copy from Production to Test system.
We are trying to collect all the transfer rules from production in the transport request with the procedure which is given in the below link.

When we are trying to transport such objects, system first prompt for transportable workbench request, after specifying request once, it prompts for it again and after providing transport request number system results with message u201CSpecify a requestu201D.
Please suggest how to overcome this issue.

thats scary that you are copying your transfer rules from production to test system well if you guy sare doing it good luck..
a part from that make sure your prd is open so it allows items to be able to transport an dthere is a conenction between prd to test for transports to go through
if you have already copied all te data source to TEST, replicate them IN BWQ( your test system) then send over tranfer fules .

Cube is still assigned to original system after system copy

Hello Experts,
After system copy (BW and ECC), some cubes are still assigned to the original system.
Displaying the flow, the cube is assigned to the new system and the original one and the error message RSAR203 "Source system & (old one) does not exist" is araised.
I see that RFC connexion with original system are still in the system (were not deleted by basis team).
I have this problem only for cubes.
Any idea how can i fix this issue?

J2ee engine does not start up after system copy

Dear All,
I have done a system copy of BW3.5 (NW04). I installed the BW.3.5 and then replaced the data and control files.
This has ABAP + java.
Now after system copy when i am starting the server, the J2ee instance doesnt start up.
ABAP is running and DB is up too.

BDC programs affected after system copy.

Dear All,
We are facing a problem after system copy with regards to the HR module.
Client have created a BDC programs and it was running fine in the old server.
After the system refresh, one of the BDC is having problem and following is the brief,
1. While running a user transaction in FOREGROUND, the program is running correctly and in BACKGROUND the program is calling some other action which is not recorded in the BDC. One observation was made that, while running in DEBUG mode, with the background option, the program runs correctly.
2. In program we are calling 2 PA40 actions, whose sequence no. are 28 and 61 resp. In background mode the program calling some other PA40 action whose seq no is 22.
Is there anything we are missing in the profile or some settings in the applications to run the BDC program correctly?

No, I haven't run that transaction.
I have checked the old server, and the logical system is PRDCABS500 and the same is present in the new system.
But I am amaze that the other BDC's are working fine, just 1-2 bdc are having problems?
I have checked BD54 in new system its still showing the old..
What do you recommend and when should this activity to be done( I information says that no users should be present?).

ODS Activation Error:characteristic 0CALMONTH is not plausible

HI,All:
i have upload data from flat file to ODS successfully,but i am get following error when i try to activation data in this ODS.
- Error getting SID for ODS object ODS_DX01
- Value '000120' of characteristic 0CALMONTH is not plausible
- Error when assigning SID (details in long text)
- Activation of data records from ODS object ODS_DX01 terminated
How should i get rid of this error. Any idea would be appreciated.

RFC users locked after system copy in production system

Hi,
BW_User,MDBTC(RFC users) system users were locked in our BI Production system at the same time system copy activity was running in the Quality system(production to quality) so as per our colleagues concern after system copy they started Quality system with out changing background work-process 0 so some jobs were triggered which were copied from production system.
Is there any cause to lock RFC users in production system for system copy? If there is any other reason where we can check logs

Hi,
Well maybe i am wrong to analyze your problem .
Anyway I faced this issue to in our system before and we found that one background job was running in a system that has basically prompting an RFC connection to another system. In the t.code SM59 and there was wrong password was put in.We just reset the password and it was worked fine.
You can try for this..

Logical System Name after System Copy

Hello,
I have three questions about the logical system name after system copy.
Q1) When I change SID D22 to S11 during system copy,
do I have to change the logical system name of all clients in the target system? The target system is used for test, and the landscape has S11 and Virtial system. The target system S11 does not communicate with the source system D22.
Q2) If the answer for Q1 is YES, is it correct that the following procedure for changing logical system name?
1.Tr-CD:BD54
Add new logical system name for all clients in the target system.
2.Tr-CD:SCC4
As for all clients, select new logical system name with F4 help.
Q3) If the answer for Q1 is YES, do I have to add new RFC connection entries with SM59 for all clients in the target system?
I refer to the guide "Homogeneous and Heterogeneous
System Copy for SAP Systems Based
on SAP Web Application Server
ABAP 6.40 SR1".

As a good and ideal practice the answer to your first question Q1 is yes. Infact I would say that in case you are using ALE then it is must
For Q2 there has to be an additional step which is most important one. Running BDLS transaction which would allow you to change logical systems in relevant tables from the one of source system to target system.
For Q3 the answer is agaain yes and you can have two approaches>
1. manually recreate all the RFC destinations after sys. copy.
2. Export all the RFC destination data relevant tables before system copy and then reimport them after sys. copy.
