Oeap 600 - can't connect to corporate wlan

Hello!
I have some trouble with the setup of an oeap 600 ap.
The ap has joined the controller as it should and the remote-lan connection to my corporate network works well, but i can't connect to the corporate wlan.
When i check the event log on the ap it says:
*Oct 02 07:36:56.662: (Re)Assoc-Req from 00:1a:73:d2:82:8c forwarded to WLC, wired: no

*Oct 02 07:37:11.713: WTP Event: Delete Mobile sent to wlc00:1a:73:d2:82:8c"
and a debug on the controller gives me:

  • OEAP-600 AP backup connectivity to WLC

    Hi all,
    Here's the list of equipments:
    Pool of oeap 600 aps
    1x 2504WLC as OEAP WLC (@DMZ)
    1x ASA 5515
    Scenario:
My OEAP WLC located at ASA - DMZ is NATted to a public ip (primary internet ISP), then my pool of OEAP-600 were configured to communicate with this OEAP WLC.
    My question is:
I want to automate the failover of OEAP-600 (I don't know if this is possible) to the secondary internet ISP whenever the primary internet ISP fails. The secondary ISP is terminated on the same ASA 5515-X doing PBR and IP SLA stuff.
I know that OEAP 600 can only be pointed to one WLC ip address
I know that the WLC can only be NATted to one public IP address.
    Anyone?
What would be the best solution to perform the OEAP backup connectivity? Or just buy another set of WLC/ASA then just manually configure the OEAP-600 APs to point to the secondary ISP.
    Dave

You are limited to one public IP address on the WLC. You can have multiple WLC IP address set on the OEAP, but that will not help with one WLC and one public IP. So you would need another WLC and ASA since you would have two ISP connections with different public facing IP.

  • How can I connect to a WLAN, that requires Userid/Password to connect?

At a recent conference I tried to used my ATV 3 and Airplay to present on the video projector. My ATV 3 found the WLAN and connected, but in order to get internet access this WLAN required to enter a userid/password.
On a PC the UI to enter this data comes up, when you try to open any kind of web page. ´
I did not manage to logon using the Apple TV 3. Any hints?

No way to join from the ATV.  The way I have gotten around this in the past is to sign in to the network on my Mac then turn on internet sharing in system preferences and create an ad hoc network that i then join with the ATV.

  • Can't connect to WLAN with Nokia E71x

    Hi,
I have Nokia E71x  and I can't connect to home WLAN, on screen it says that routher is found but when I wan't to go to Internet trough WLAN (Start web browsing ) it says WLAN: Unable to connect, Invailed WPA pre-shared key. Need help.
    Regards

Check the router if you have set a password or any changes that you have made on it. This is because if your router is a secured connection (asking for a code or password), you have to make sure that you have entered the correct password.

  • OEAP 600 cannot join WLC with auth-list enable

I've got a strange problem here. In the office, my OEAP 600 can join WLC if there is no MAC authentication. When i enable MAC authentication at WLC, AP will fail to register. However, I try it at home and it works with both MAC authentication enable or disable. I suspect it is because of firewall in my office, but there shouldn't have any different in discovery and joining procedure for AP with MAC authentication enable or disable. I'm confused here. Please help.

    Justin,
Below is error summary from WLC:
    Last Error Summary
    Last AP Message Decryption Failure----
Last AP Connection Failure     ---------      Timed out while waiting for ECHO repsonse from the AP
Last Error Occurred                ---------      Lwapp join request rejected
Last Error Occurred Reason    ---------      RADIUS authorization is pending for the AP
The error reason is probaly because I haven't added AP MAC address to ACS. With the same AP, at home using ADSL link, i have no problem.
    Thanks.

  • Problems to connect to a WLAN on version 40.2.005 ...

Since I downloaded the software version 40.2.005 I can't connect to a WLAN. When I try to do this, the screen goes dim and the phone restarts itself.
The Connectivity Menu displays the message: "WLANs search disable".
I have Wi-Fi at home and I can't connect it.
I hope someone can help me!

Your router is not giving your iPad a valid IP address. Try powering down and restarting your router before resetting Network Settings on your iPad (see Settings > General > Reset ) and then attempting to re-connect.
The use of WEP security is not advised with the iPad. Use WPA or WPA2 security which is much more secure. Switching away from WEP may help.

  • Can't connect iphone,ipad,samsung to WLAN.

    Hi everybody!
I'm having a headache with a problem, i hope you can help me guys.
We have a WLC 5508. This WLC has a guest network, which SSID was hidden. Now that i want to use, i enable the SSID broadcast
and try to connect to it.
With my laptop, or any other computer i don't have any problem. But with the gadgets (an iphone, ipad and samsung) i've been having some issues.
I can tell that, at the beginnning i thought that maybe it was a problem with the devices and the encryption i was using on the WLAN (WPA2 PSK). But
these devices can connect to another WLAN network in the same WLC, with the same encryption without a problem.
I try to change the encryption, i used all of the possible ways, even i let it opened, but nothing worked for me.
I'm not an expert on wireless, and i don't know if i'm missing a command or something.
Thanks everybody for your time, i really hope you can help me! :-)

  • NB200-12N - Can't connect to WLAN

    Hi
I have a NB200-12N its about 5 weeks old and I cant get it to connect to my WLAN. I've tried updating the driver as well as reinstalling it as well as the BIOS and its not helped. I got the computer brand new and its not worked at all.
I've looked around and it seems the atheros ar9285 wireless adapter is the root of all evil. Is there any thing else I can try please?
    thanks Gary

    Go to this page:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
    Update the WLan driver.
Im not an owner of NB200 but a friend of mine has an NB300 and there was an option in BIOS which enabled and disabled the Wlan
Check in BIOS if such option is available in your case too
Be sure that you have used the right SSID, right encryption, right encryption password and disable the MAC filtering on your router.

  • Can't connect to wlan

    Hi everybody,
for some reason my MacPro won't connect to my home network, a dsl wlan. I have 2 iPhones in there, one AppleTV, my MacbookPro, my wife's MBP, an AirPortExtreme and an AirportExpress, all doing fine (exept my wife's MBP wich gets kicked out of the network constantly, but disabling and reenabling wifi solves the problem.).
So the network is ok. My MacPro connects to my MBP with direct c2c-network, and it connects to my iPhone via personal hotspot. So the MacPros wifi works fine as well.
Only I can't get it to connect to my wlan. We changed provider a while ago, 2 months approx., at the beginning it worked, not well, got kicked out all the time, but ist worked. Now it tells me something like (I have to translate, so never mind the exact wording in english) "can't connect because of timed out". Something of the kind.
Now I tried to erase the keychain for the wlan-password, didn't change a thing.
I took out one of the devices of the network, the airport express, didn't change either.
I saw though that my MacPro does not have an IP address. I don't know how I can tell it to have one... this might be the problem's solution.
Anyone an idea? Anyone who had this problem before? With the old provider (and wlan router) everything was ok.
The router is a fritz box, the provider is m-net.de
I'm desperate... thanks for your help, and best regards from the home of the Oktoberfest - Munich.
    f

I can't see any. I just compared with my MacBook, where it shows, but on my MacPro there is none. No IP, no IPv4 or IPv6. Strange.
Since I'm in this home network, I suppose the addresses are assigned by the router, could this be right? Only on the router's software interface - which I access via browser and my MacBook, there is no possibility to activate a new device or anything of the kind.

  • Can not connect to WLAN on every place where the WLAN is available

Sometimes my computer will connect and detect wireless networks, airports hotels etc but will not work at home and in some ofices.
I run WXP updated with SP2 have an Artheros5005gs adapter. Any ideas?

    Hi
This is a question of compatibility between the WLan router and the WLan card.
If the WLan card does not support the same Wlan standards then you will be not able to establish the wlan connection.
Mostly the Hot spots (Wlan on airports, city, etc) are not secured and therefore the notebook connects automatically to such Wlans.
The Wlan at home or in the office is mostly secured and you need an right encryption key to connect to such Wlans.
So I think you should check you WLan router configuration settings and use the right encryption key, SSID, etc

  • Can't seem to connect to a WLAN using ipw3945abg and networkmanager

    Hello, everyone!
I had previously installed Arch Linux on my nice Compaq Presario v3020US laptop. I managed to get my wireless card working under it. Now, I had come back to using Arch Linux (love it by the way), but now, I can't seem to get my wireless card to work. My laptop uses the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG (ipw3945), and I would like to use KNetworkManager with it. I have Internet access via Ethernet, but I find that annoying. I really can only connect through wireless most of the time. If it helps, I did not use NetworkManger to connect to the Internet wirelessly previously. I had used a configuration file. If I have to, I'll go back to that. But I can't figure out how to get that to work anymore. Why do I have such a poor memory?
It took me two days, but now I have the forums as my last resort before I tear my hair out. (Okay, I won't tear my hair out... )
    Thanks for your attention,

    Welcome to Nokia Discussions, Hamzat_kudus.
The pre-shared key is the password or passkey needed in order for the phone to establish a connection with the Wi-Fi source. This is explained more further on this page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-shared_key
To setup Wi-Fi on your phone:
Open the WLAN Wizard and perform a scan.
To start or continue browsing the web using the access point of the WLAN, scroll to the desired network, and select Options > Start web browsing or Cont.web browsing . Enter the password of your router and proceed.
To view the details of the WLAN, select Options > Details . To save the access point of the WLAN, select Options > Define access point .

  • OEAP 600 Series - Maximum User Count

    Supported User Count
Only fifteen users are allowed to connect on the WLAN Controller  WLANs provided on the 600 series at any one time. A sixteenth user  cannot authenticate until one of the first clients de-authenticates or a  timeout occurred on the controller.
Note: This number is cumulative across the controller WLANs on the 600 series.
For example, if two controller WLANs are configured and there are  fifteen users on one of the WLANs, no users will be able to join the  other WLAN on the 600 series at that time. This limit does not apply to  the local private WLANs that the end user configures on the 600 series  designed for personal use and clients connected on these private WLANs  or on the wired ports do not affect these limits.
This is from the Configuration Guide for teh 600 series Office Extend AP. Is this count per AP or total per WLC? If I have 10 APs deployed to our remote users, can each AP support two simultaneous users? Would I need to use separate WLANs for each OEAP?

  • N93i and Corporate WLAN

Can someone please assist me with connecting this device to my corporate WLAN.
I have configured all the settings correctly for WEP/PEAP/MSCHAPv2 (found another article to help on that one), but now need to install the WLAN certificate to get it to actually function.
The certificate is a DER-encoded X.509 intermediate wildcard certificate from IPSca. I have tried transferring this to my N93i via PC Suite with both a .cer and .der extension, but the device does not recognise the file, displays a blue question mark icon, and gives an error when you attempt to click on it in File Manager.
I have confirmed these certificates by doing the exact same thing via ActiveSync to a Windows Mobile 5 device, and it installs without issue. Using Windows Mobile 6, it installs as an intermediate certificate, and I can actually get wireless working... but it won't even load on my Nokia.
As I have an apache linux server here, I have also tried creating an XHTML formated html file that links to the certificates, and have used a .htaccess file to set the correct mime type... when I click on the link, the file opens up as text. Changing the extension to CER instead of DER gives me the option to save the file, but not as a certificate. Doing so results in a copy of the same files that appear as unknown type, and cannot be used.
I have also tried using the certutil utility to try and tweak the format of the certificate (re-encode) it. It either opens up in "Notes" as Base64, or tells me that the file is not supported, or won't load in any other format.
This is really annoying me. All my workmates can quite happilly use wireless, and my device, which costs more, is useless. Particlarly as you need wireless to sync email with the device mailbox (not on a data plan) - which is alos something else that is more convenient when using a Microsoft Mobile.
    Please help. Sincerely,
    Murray Webber

    Steve,
thanks for reply to my message.
I have addition question regarding to this.
on the Guest WLAN if I configure Central Auth/ Local Switching... is there option for me to add acl on this WLAN?
for example after pass auth. user only able to go internet...
