OEAP 600 Series - Maximum User Count

Supported User Count
Only fifteen users are allowed to connect on the WLAN Controller  WLANs provided on the 600 series at any one time. A sixteenth user  cannot authenticate until one of the first clients de-authenticates or a  timeout occurred on the controller.
Note: This number is cumulative across the controller WLANs on the 600 series.
For example, if two controller WLANs are configured and there are  fifteen users on one of the WLANs, no users will be able to join the  other WLAN on the 600 series at that time. This limit does not apply to  the local private WLANs that the end user configures on the 600 series  designed for personal use and clients connected on these private WLANs  or on the wired ports do not affect these limits.
This is from the Configuration Guide for teh 600 series Office Extend AP. Is this count per AP or total per WLC? If I have 10 APs deployed to our remote users, can each AP support two simultaneous users? Would I need to use separate WLANs for each OEAP?

  • CUP maximum user count

    So I AD integrated UCM (6.1) and I see 3300 end users. Now when I flip over to CUP (7.0) I only see 1,062 users....
    My fear is that I have hit a limit on the box, but my hope is that someone has a work around.
    It is a 7825 which has a user limit of 1,000, but I had assumed that the limit was based on the number of CUP/CUPC enabled users and not on the total user count.
    I really hope there is a workaround.
    Thanks,
    -Scott

    Please clarify what you mean by CUP only sees 1062 users?  CUPS or CUPC?   In CUPS, I thought that the user list would only show the users you flagged in CUCM with the CUPS/CUPC feature.  IOW, users are only replicated when they are enabled for CUPS use.  At least, that is my understanding.
    From an LDAP query perspective.  I believe this is done by CUPC (even though CUPS has a the LDAP search string specified).
    The question I have:  How many users in CUCM are enabled with the CUPS/CUPC feature?  Is it 1062?
    HTH.

  • Maximum activation  count (1 user) already reached on a new install

    I just installed a new Adobe Acrobat XI Standard package ordered from a third party. The first time I invoked the application, I received an error message that the maximum activation count (1 user) had been reached. I had 30 days to deactivate one user and activate this computer, What has to be done to overcome this problem?
    I have contacted the seller, but have yet to hear from him.

    contact adobe support and ask for an activation count reset, http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html

  • EAS v11 - User count

    Hi,
    We have migrated to new V11 of Essbase and we have maximum limit to keep User counts till 600. Is there a way of keeping this User count and keep on checking if it has touched the limit of 600 and if yes then show an alert. Anything is fine- MAXL/script etc?
    Thanks in advance for the solution.

    In Maxl have a look at "Display Session" :- http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_tech_ref/maxl_dispsess.html
    If you want something more advanced then it is probably worth looking into one of the APIs :-http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_api_ref/launch.html

  • How to make a new recovery partition on a 600 series

    Well I thought this was worth a mention as nobody seems to have said it could be done.
    Having just got the cheep 600 series unit working I wanted to restore the RESTORE PARTITION.
    Mostly to get the F11 function working as it should after fitting a Brand new HDD.
    The OS is WIN7x64 but I would guess the same could be said for others.
    It is actually quite simple and perhaps has been described in better detail elsewhere but here we go.
    Oh, I actually did this a few different ways and got some very interesting results,
    including one that needed the F11 pressing before boot or it would fail to load windows after the recovery.
    Nice little hidden security function.! But breaks the restore ability !!!
    If you want to disable the F11 recovery option then you need to rename a file.
    Perhaps not disable but MakeFail !
    So the way it seemed to work goes like this.
    You will need your Original Restore DVD's (Cd's) for this if I did not assume that already.
    With your new hard disk you need to partition it into three parts.
    Either do it in the machine with a bootdisk (BartsPE) or similar
    or for quickest results pop the drive into a caddy and do it on a live machine.
    If you need to be told how to partition the disk then ask. (Right click My Computer, select Manage)
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    NOTICE: >> THIS IS GOING TO DESTROY ANY DATA ON THAT DRIVE ...
    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
    Make these in order.
    partition 1 = 100 meg PRIMARY, UNFORMATTED, NO LABEL, NO DRIVE LETTER.
    partition 2 = ??? PRIMARY, UNFORMATTED, NO LABEL, NO DRIVE LETTER
    (calculate size from remaining space less partition3 size)
    partition 3 = PRIMARY, NTFS, ANY LABEL, ANY DRIVE LETTER.
    (This needs to be large enough for ALL your recovery disks plus a little more.)
    So if you only have one Restore DVD make the third partition about 5gigs.
    If you have two 10 gigs and 3Dvd's perhaps 14 or 15 Gigs.
    Add some more space if you want to store more stuff on that partition.
    Format the 3rd partition, then copy in order ALL the restore disks to the NEW drive.
    You can also copy other files to this partition if you want.
    Best to keep it tidy and make a new folder for your own stuff.
    Stuff like AV installers, Updates, Application installers.
    The Recovery process will HIDE ALL folders on the recovery drive but they will still be there.
    So that should be it.
    You have got 3 partitions?,
    You copied all the DVD's to the 3rd one,?
    NOW..
    Reinstall the drive to the machine.
    Put in the "Recovery 1 DVD" and boot the machine.
    When asked if you want to use the recovery from disk or harddrive,, select DVD Disk.
    Once the install is complete the F11 button on bootup should now work error free.
    Well ,,  it did for me...
    Brand new hard drive with a full system recovery option made from only the Restore DVD's.
    I did another system restore via the F11 button just for the fun of it.
    Just so you know the system restore takes less than a quarter of the time from HDD over DVD.
    I was going to check the process of making another NEW set of DVD recovery disks from the NEW drive,
    but perhaps someone else will do that and report back on their progress.
    Hv.
    I never knew who HP were until my workshop got filled with faulty equipment. !! I know who Apple are now too.

    Depending on the software you use to clone will it copy the recovery partition or not    ex  SuperDuper does not.
    You can always reinstall the OS on top of what you have. This will re-create the recovery partition without touching your user files, documents, photos, bookmarks etc. After that you may have to run the software update to get the latest OSX update 10.10.1
    One draw back to no recovery partition is iCloud>Find my Mac will not be functional.
    From option command R on start or from an installer SD card you created.

  • User Count.

    Hi All.
    First of all, I'm sorry for my English. But, I'll do my best to explain.
    I'm developing Text Chat App with FMS 4, Flex 4.6.
    I want to count how many users in.
    I've searched enough. And I made some codes.
    Server Side Code(main.asc)
    application.onAppStart = function()
    trace("hihihi");
    application.onConnect = function(client)
    application.acceptConnection(client);
    userCount = application.clients.length;
    // Define new client function for a nc.call().
    client.callFromClient = function() {
      return userCount;
    application.onDisconnect = function(client){
    trace("Connection is disconnected!!!");
    userCount = application.clients.length;
    trace("length is " + userCount);
    for(var i=0; i<application.clients.length; i++){
      application.clients[i].call("setUserCount", null, userCount);

    Kevin.
    ps. I also wanna use SharedObject in Server Side. Unfortunately I tried tried tried tried many times... But I don't know how to do it. I'm newbie to flex&FMS. Is there some example about that?

    Add a method on main.asc as below:
    Client.prototype.userCount = function()
         // get the number of connected users
         var count = application.clients.length;
         this.call("receiveUsercount", null, count);
    And add a method in client side code ( in initApp() ) as below:
    nc.receiveUsercount = function (count)
      //do code here
         trace("Total Users:" + count );
    Now call the FMS method (as below) from client side code when you want current user count details from FMS:
    nc.call("userCount", null);

  • How to compute maximum user per AP

    Hi Guys,
    Im setting up my WLAN, im confused because i dont know how do i compute the maximum user per client per AP. Im using AP 1020 series. For example if i have 20 clients if 802.11b,c,a how's the bandwith is being affected when the number of user is increasing.
    Thanks,
    Jong

    Hi Jong,
    Here is a cisco doc that relates to this question;
    Q. How many clients can associate to the AP?
    A. The AP has the physical capacity to handle 2048 MAC addresses. However, because the AP is a shared medium and acts as a wireless hub, the performance of each user decreases as the number of users increases on an individual AP. Ideally, not more than 24 clients should associate with the AP because the throughput of the AP is reduced with each client that associates to the AP.
    From this Q&A doc;

  • 2100 Series maximum of 256 clients?

    Really the title has it all..
    I don't find any documentation anywhere that indicates that there is any maximum client count usable using a 2100 series access point controller... We had two lightweight access points connected, and added a third, but this number was not affected.
    Monitoring the system using the web interface the client count goes to 256 and connected clients goes to 256, and then no further clients are accepted...
    Please tell me how I can overcome this apparent limit?

    Hi Jim,
    I know that this is not the "exact" reference that you were looking for, but this number is not spelled out in any 2100 Series documentation. This was the closest reference that I could find after searching the other day and today;
    Q. Are the Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Modules functionally similar to any other Cisco wireless LAN controllers?
    A. All Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers support the same software functionality. The differences between the models are related to interfaces and capacity. From an overall (hardware and software) perspective, the WLCM is most similar to the Cisco 2106 Wireless LAN Controller. The primary differences are:
    An integrated services router with a Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Module and Cisco EtherSwitch® Module can connect 6, 8 or 12 LWAPP enabled Cisco Aironet access points without a separate switch, versus six for the Cisco 2006 router. Cisco Aironet access points can be connected to an Ethernet switch module on the integrated services router (e.g., 4, 9, 16, 24, and 48-port modules with Power over Ethernet [PoE]).
    Q. How many simultaneous wireless clients can be supported by the Cisco Wireless LAN Controller Modules?
    A. 256.
    From this doc;

  • OEAP 600 and AP policies

    I have two 5508 and a few hundred 1142 in our internal net. Now I bought some OEAP 600 to do tests in some small branch offices, but I would like to enable AP policies with MAC filtering to block that anyone else can connect an OEAP through our firewall. If I enable 'Accept Self Signed Certificates (SSC)' and 'Authorize MIC APs against auth-list or AAA' as suggested in Cisco document 'Aironet 600 Series OfficeExtend Access Point Configuration Guide', will that effect only my OEAP 600 or will I have to also include the MAc addresses of my internal 1142?

  • OEAP 600 - Possible to disable local ports 1-3?

    I have a customer looking to deploy OEAP & wants to know if it possible to disable the local ports 1-3?  Reason being, they don't want the home user connecting devices & causing more support tickets to troubleshoot an Xbox or Google TV just b/c it's connected to a company provide AP/Switch.
    I have read all the docs & it makes no mention of this.... I can see in 7.2 the ability to disable the local SSID but no mention of the ability to shutdown ports 1-3....
    Also see support in 7.2 for Dual RLAN... but that still leaves 2 local ports.
    Thanks,

    We found a way to disable the local ports.
    The command is
    config network oeap-600 local-network {enable | disable}

  • Dynamically set maximum row count in Interactive Report

    Hi,
    Has anyone worked out a way of dynamically setting (e.g. via select list) the maximum row count value for an Interactive Report, taking into account issues with order by when the report is filtered. I'm aware of solutions like this: http://www.talkapex.com/2010/10/apex-reports-no-limit-downloads.html but as far as I can tell this doesn't work when the report is filtered and the IR is rewritten in the background. Data sets then become unreliable because they are reordered.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    You can do that with javascript
    gReport.search('SEARCH',100)the 100 you can replace for any number you like.I have a report with filter,sorting and groups and it is gives no problem there.
    any number means any number but not higher than the number you set at Maximum Rows Per Page.
    You probably can mix the solution from Martin and the above code.

  • How to find Maximum Record Count in a particular section

    Hi ALL
    My report has  3 detail sections. I am showing different set of data in each section.
    Example:
    Details a
    Details b
    Details c
    In the Details c section  I have 5 columns.
    I want to find out MAXIMUM RECORD COUNT in  only Details c.
    Actually I have done a running total on column1 field which gives me the records number in that section only. But I am not able to find the MAXIMUM record count.
    Rtotal   Colum1   Column 2 Column3
    1          Data1     Data2      Data3
    2          Data1     Data2      Data3
    3          Data1     Data2      Data3
    4          Data1     Data2      Data3
    Now I need the Maximum record count=4
    Thanks.

    If I have understood correctly you want to count the amount of records in each section.
    In this case, go to "Insert > Summary", choose your ID field, and choose "Count" in "Calculate this summary:". You can put the summary in your group footer.
    If you want the maximum (the highest number value in that column), you can choose "Maximum" instead of "Count".

  • How to get user count by Planning app in 11.1.2.1

    I have no. of planning apps and I need to get a user count by application.
    I tried to export the security by using LCM but the export doesn't provide the information in a readable format.
    Is there a way to generate a report where I can get the count (user ids) by planning app ?
    Thanks in advance

    Could you not get somebody to run the queries for you they quick and simple
    anyway if you have to go down the filter per user route then maybe you could use maxl and spool the output.
    e.g.
    login admin password on servername;
    spool on to "path\filename.txt";
    display filter on database appname.dbname;
    spool off;
    logout;

  • How to set maximum redelivery count

    hi,
    Within my JCD I am throwing an exception to roll back a message so that it will be redelivered in case of an error. From the log I can see that the message is redelivered.
    Now, I'm trying to find a way to set the maximum redelivery count within the JCD. Or a better way maybe find out how many times the message has been redelivered, so I can send it to a dead message/error queue when it reaches a certain number.
    Is this possible? Has anyone done similar thing?
    thanks
