Hi,
Is there any Linux specific OEID installation documents available ?
Even I am unable to login to OEID studio (installed on Linux) with the following default login credentials..
user id - [email protected]
password - admin

as you can read here (Studio Install documentation) the credentials for the first login in Studio are:
user id : [email protected]
password : Welcome123

Is there a text-based FMS 3 installer for Linux?

No, there's isn't. You should install IIS 7 first, and then install 32-bit version OBIEE.

BPEL process manager installation in linux/JBoss

Hi,
I need to install the BPEL process manager in our client systems. Their requirement is to install the BPEL process manager in linux environment on top of JBoss application server. Is there any special parameters needs to be set. I have also gone through the installation document. It would be nice if anyone share the installation experience in linux environement.
I have no experience in installing in linux system. I have accesed it through telnet. How to install the BPEL process mangaer in linux. Is it possible to install through telnet??

You must install SOA Suite on a linux box where you have the possibility to run an X-Server. You could:
1)
assuming you have an X-Server (example XMing) running on your workstation
start ssh -X <hostname>
execute ./runinstaller.sh
2)
assuming you have an X-Server (example XMing) running on your workstation
start telnet <hostname>
export DISPLAY=<your workstation>:0
execute ./runinstaller.sh

Problem on installation of linux through the vmware software on compaq CQ60

Problem on installation of linux through the vmware software on xp operating system. My laptop is Compac CQ60.
The error message is no device found compatable for the installation.

Oracle Errors while Solution Manager 4.0 installation on linux

While installing Oracle 10g instance for Solution Manager 4.0, The following popup message displayed. I checked the log file and not much information. Please tell me what shall I need to do.
Error message:
Error in invoking target 'ntcontab.o' of make file '/oracle/<sid>/102_32/network/lib/ins_net_client.mk'
see '/oracle/orainventory/logs/installActions2006-10-08_06-39-02PM.log' for details

OBIEE 11g upgrade wizard & installation on linux 64bit

Hi,
Is it that on Linux 64 bit machine, i should install OBIEE 11g in "Software Only" mode, only then upgrade wizard works correctly, if i need to do "Software Only" should i be installing weblogic server independently? or at high level what are steps to be followed.

Hi Sree,
What you are mentioning here is relevant for Windows 64 bits environment where you have to install the software only after installing web logic standalone.
The installer for Linux 64bit will install all the components for you except of course the RCU that you need to downlaod and install first.

NB: Devlopement tools (Admin tool or catalog manager..) don't exisit for Linux, so you have to use windows for development

SAP XI 3.0 installation document reqd

Hi
can anyone help me in getting the installation document of SAP XI 3.0 on oracle over AIX platform.
I think we will have to install WAS640 ABAP+JAVA, but in service market place i could not able to find the same under node netwever 2004 in link service.sap.com/instguides. However i can find the same under node netwever 2004s (which is the higher version, kernel 700).But i want for 640.
It will be great if anyone can pass me the installation doc to me at [email protected]

XI and MII installation document

I have to install XI and XMII on a single machine.Please guide me with installation document and procedure to be follwed.I would appreciate all your help and suggestion.

I am not sure what Installation Prereq's you are looking at but support.lighthammer.com has been gone for years. The newest documentation is at http://help.sap.com and here you can find the Installation Instructions for MII v12.0.
1) Should I have to follow MCOD method for this installtion ( First installing XI(00,01) and then XMII )
I do not think the order of these installations matter. You just have to make sure that Netweaver is installed first as MII runs on top of this. There may be an install of Netweaver with PI but I am not sure
2)I know to select the components (ABAP,JAVA&PI) for XI likewise tell me the components for XMII so I can choose?
The only component MII needs is the Java AS stack
3)XMII will have how many instances ..for example XI will have 00 & 01 ...for XMII?
This depends as Jeremy said I would refer to the quicksizer, there is not a choice specifically for MII but you can choose a similar component such as EP
4) Any specific prerequisite or software installtion for XMII installtion on a windows 2003 server?
There are no prerequisites for MII on a windows 2003 server but there may be some for Netweaver. Netweaver will be the more difficult install once that is installed MII just sits on top of Netweaver with a install using JSPM.
Just reminder MII is best implented at the plant level and NOT as one central instance where all plants access just one MII machine.
