Oem (12 months old) Audi car kit and N80

Hi Everyone,
I have an oem Audi car kit, which comes with snap on cradles. I have recently upgraded to a N80 and cannot seem to get any sense on compatible cradles. Does anyone else have an N80 and the oem Audi car kit and the N80 cradle?
Many thanks
Matt

Hi Patc,
I did a search for holders, I am specifically after a holder for an oem Audi car kit. There have been posters who have stated that they have Audi kits and I was wondering if anyone has the cradle. I have also been keeping up with the bluetooth debates, as I am experiencing the same problems with all my bluetooth devices.
Many thanks
Matt

  • Synchronization of 8330 bluetooth with Audi car kit

I have been able to synchronize my new 8330 via bluetooth to my Audi car kit with one problem. When an incoming call arrives, the car display shows "phone" but the phone does not ring on the car speaker. A short while later a loud 5 second "buzz" occurs. My previous Motorola phone rang on the car speaker. Do I need to set something in the 8330? The car kit has no settings. Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi.,
Can I check with you if you have this problem..
I assume you have paired the iPhone 3GS to the Audi carkit.
First, play something on the iPod.
Then go to the Bluetooth settings page where you can see all the paired devices.
after that, make a connection to the carkit.
Is there any stuttering or audio breaking you hear from the carkit?
I have this problem with my iTech BluebandR headset and iSkin Cerulean RX. I only found this problem with iPhone 3GS but it worked fine with 3G.

  • Tomtom car kit and audio out

I have a Tomtom car kit which I've been happily using for a few months now. At Christmas I got a new car stereo that has an aux input which is great, as I can now play tunes from my iPhone through the car stereo. However, I can only hear calls through the stereo if I plug the aux cable into the phone itself, not the car kit.
Is this right, or am I missing something? It's slightly annoying, as I can't simply plug the phone into the cradle when I get into the car....I have to plug the aux cable in too.
    Thanks,
    Ed

You are absolutely correct, BUT I have done that at least three time and when I switch on the ignition the **** thing keeps coming up and I have to decline it. I may have to physically remove or disconnect the old bluetooth hands-free system.
    What do you think?

  • Audi car kit- phone will not recognise!

I have just recieved an Audi A3 with manufacturer car kit installed. The delivery driver could connect with his phone, don't know what type.
When I tried my 6301- nothing.

Ignition was on, and off and on again!
    any suggestions?

Hi I also have same problems with my Range Rover. if you go onto the Audi website they may tell you what phones/ software are avilable for your car model. My 6300 keeps dropping calls as the software on my new phone has been updated and nokia cannot give me the old software to make them compatible !!!

Hi and I just got a E61i and I understand thatI am unable to use a motorola blue tooth and the amazing thing is that I was using the motorola blue tooth on a 7610 phone which was more than two years old.
Also do you have any idea as to how I could activiate the dictionary option when typing a SMS.

  • Audi Car Kit N95

i currently have an audi with a built in car kit the adapter is a Cullmann Nokia 6230 / 6230i. however i do not have this phone nor wish to get one. after much searching but to no avail, i was wondering if anyone knew whether i can just get a N95 adapter to fit onto my exsiting kit?
    Cheers

    Hi gav1n11
I think that automotive interests of www.cullmann.de have been taken over and it is now trading under another name. Adaptors were available for various 62** and 63** phones. I know some people leave a 6230i in the cradle as although discontinued new ones are still around and transfer calls to the car. I was under the impression that a bluetooth adapter could be utilized but "dannyboy" on the forum whom is a fitting specialist could probably offer you better advice.

  • Iphone 3GS with bluetooth connection with Audi car kit

I connected my iphone 3GS to my Audi car system through bluetooth connection. The Audi system recognizes the iphone and his address phone and all works well.
The issue comes when I disconnect the iphone from the car kit. After, even someone calls me, the call ringtone rings only two times and after switches off during the incoming call. This issue is random, sometimes the alarm rings well, sometimes not by working in the way described above. Someone has the same issue and knows how solve it? Is an issue linked to hw or only sw?
    thanks

  • Tom Tom Car kit and iPhone 4

Does anyone know if the iPhone 4 will fit into the Tom Tom car kit?

I was initially disappointed as I placed the shiny new toy in the Tom Tom cradle. The phone fit snug and secure, with no sign of excess pressure. However, no dice on Bluetooth or power. After some investigation of how the cradle works, I was able to find a repeatable solution.
The cradle's power connector has 2 functions. 1. The power 2. A rocker switch that seems to wake the cradle up for action. You can see the rocking motion clearly with the cradle empty.
That rocker switch is designed to conform precisely with the 3g/3gs chubby backside. When the sleek iPhone 4 is placed in the cradle, it fails to trigger the rocker. I just pressed firmly (you don't have to press hard) on the bottom portion to trigger the rocker. You don't need to keep in pressed either. Just once to kick the cradle into gear. Presto. I was able to do this consistently with no loss in charge or Bluetooth capability.
After reading a bit more, some have modified the cradle (pads, tape, etc.). By knowing how the cradle works, I just simply press the phone to trigger the rocker.
Hope this helps. No need to panic about Tom Tom's price reduction, and dropping another $120.

  • Nokia 610 car kit and Nokia 6500 Classic phone

    Hi,
Has anyone else had problems connecting a Nokia 6500 Classic to a Nokia 610 car kit. The handset won't remember the pairing and I have to enter the 16 digit passkey every time I start up the car, even althouth the "remember pairing" feature is activated. Other models of Nokia handsets connect fine

I have managed to download the contacts with the N95 by installing the "download Contacts" application on the N95.
You HAVE to make sure that the paring between the two phones is deleated, then that the "download contacts" app is running on the N95 before assigning the SIM again from the 610, entering the passcode and then choose YES to the questian "Download contacts?"
The only problem is then that the contacts display as Lastname/firstname as opposed to firstname/lastname which is my preference and I cannot for the life of me seem to be able to change this. Still I cant have everything I suppose. At least its keeping the pairing without having to enter the passcode everytime which is still the case with the 6500.
Did anyone ever get to the bottom of this passcode problem? Or been able to display the contacts downloaded from an N95 as firstname/lastname?
    best regards.

  • Connection lost between Nokia 616 Car Kit and a No...

I recently upgraded from a Nokia 9300 to an E71, but retained my Nokia 616 Car Kit. The Nokia website confirms that the E71 and 616 are compatible. My E71 has been paired with the 616 and configured as User 1 in remote SIM mode. The E71 Bluetooth settings have been set up so that it will connect automatically, without asking authorisation every time.
The E71 connects to the car kit without a problem, when the car is started, but often looses the connection during the trip. The 616 will then display “Connection Lost”, followed by the request “Reconnect to User 1?”. Strangely the black “User 1” phone icon is still displayed in the top right-hand corner of the 616 display. When I push the Navi Wheel it attempts to reconnect, but every time it comes back with the message “User 1 Not Found”, despite the fact that the phone has not been moved and is still less than 1m from the 616 controller. I can only reconnect after the vehicle had been switched off and restarted, i.e. when the 616 reboots.
Why does it frequently loose connection? A number of times I have noticed that it looses connection when I drive through an area with no or a very weak cell phone signal. I don’t think the cell phone signal strength should have an effect on the Bluetooth connection between phone and car kit.
Why won’t it re-connect? I can’t stop and switch off the car every time the connection is lost!
    Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I have bought a car with this equipment and I have the same problem.
    I tried following:
    PAIRING:
    - first from the phone discover Bluetooth accessories - it will find the N616
    - enter the code to the phone
    - N616 ask for the same code as you enter to the phone - enter it
After this, the phone is paired, but not connected.
    CONNECTING:
    - then set up Bluetooth in the phone as visible
    - try connect (as user 1 or user 2) from N616 to the phone - you do not need to specify which phone has N616 to find - it will find your phone if it is visible (one step before)
    - if everything is OK, your phone is connected
    - you can access the menu, reset N616 to factory settings - but you need to make all steps again
This list works for me, any other steps not...

  • Next G models compatible with car kits and antenna...

    Help!
I currently have a CK-7W car kit with a soon to be obsolete 6235 CDMA handset. I am frustrated by the lack of quality handsets available on Telstra's new Next G service. The current 6120 Nokia only has bluetooth connectivity and no patch lead connectivity to external aerial. Has anyone heard if Nokia will be releasing a Next G model that will have a cradle compatible with the CK-7W car kit or any other hard wired car kit/antennae coupler or patch lead compatibility?

    Make/Model: BMW 325I
    Year: 2006
Carkit  Model info: Latest firmware for the 3-series.
Details: Will not connect with bluetooth carkit. Both bluetooth and Pre discover each other but does not connect with each other. The Pre shows that its connected with the car but the car does not connect to the phone.
    webOS: 1.4.0
    Included in compatibilty list: Yes
It connected and paired up fine before the update to webOS 1.4.0, had no issues with 1.3.5.1. The phonebook functionality also worked fine with the previous version of WebOS

  • If the rubber coating on my 10 month old charger tears, exposing and disconnecting the metal wires rendering it unusable, should I be reimbursed or given a new charger? (all proper storage measures were taken).

My 10 month old charger's rubber wires have torn between the magnetic piece that is put into the computer and the box piece of the charger. As the metal wires inside are no longer touching, the circuit cannot be completed so charging cannot occur. For the past week I have had to hold the wires together manually, with my hands. No amount of tape has been able to keep the tear from further increasing and I now fear, for safety reasons, that holding metal wires containing an electrical current with my hands is not an excellent idea. I used the flaps on the box piece and when storing it, have placed it in a compartment with lots of space to avoid torsion. Regardless of my precautionary measures, the tearing still occurred. Am I simply out of luck and should just shell out the however much money to buy a new charger or am I entitled to receive a new or functional one from apple? I should probably finish this up since I currently have 10% battery life and no way to charge it. I will attach pictures if possible.
    Thank You,
    dklein12

if your mac is still within it's limited hardware warranty or applecare protection plan, you can get a replacement adapter by going to apple store or service provider and exchanging it
or can call applecare and they will send out a replacement (they put a hold on the credit card for the amount of the charger until they get the damaged one back)
if it's no longer covered under either of these things you can still use the same options to replace it but would be out of pocket expense.

  • N97 and Ck300 Car kit and CarMenu apllication

Since the latest software update to the N97 not sure of the version number but updated 03 2011 the  Car Menu application is not compatible with N97. It was problematic before the update now its impossible. Nokia do you have a software policy where everything works together. This service is appalling. Never never ever a nokia again.

I think there is something everybody should know..
Perhaps I am dumb or stupid or perhaps Nokia dont know how to cater for users correctly, there software sometimes doesn't gell well together and they should invest in more testing so that it will.
I must admit I had a revelation. My N97 works both in landscape and in portrait modes previously I had installed the car menu landscape version in portrait mode. When I reinstalled the landsacape version in portrait mode after the N97 phone software latest update I got the message application was incompatible with the phone, it paired with the Nokia CK300 but the menu never appeared on the phone.
The revelation reinstall the landscape version when the phone is in landscape mode. So
Ok I did this I still got the 'incompatible with phone continue anyway' message and the app was installed. I thought well no change there then. I have this CK300 which is useless, I have a phone with navigation that I cant integrate into  my car what a lot of time and effort it's taken me 16 months to get to this point should I be peeved you betchar I should.
So I am off down the road in my car with my phone on the passengers seat I look down and the car menu screen is displayed on the phone. So I put it in its cradle and try to play music which it could never do before it would corrupt the play list and and other enumerable stuff would stop me from getting it working. But hey MUSIC PLAYED wow and I had selected random tracks and guess what tune played ITS A KIND OF MAGIC brilliant .
So remember install the landscape version of Car Menu with the phone in Landscape mode and vice versa for the portrait version
