Hi, i'm Christian....
can anyone tell me the link for OEM 2.2 Download for SUN Solaris??

Hello Christian,
it seems that the EM downloads have been removed from OTN. You can just order the CD Pack that means paying for the CD Pack.

  • SB Audigy OEM and Vista with SP

I've just purchased the Audigy OEM with the external SPDIF connection. I have plugged this in to my amp (Marantz 9200) and can get sound using Vista Media Centre and DTS or Dolby sound ok. I'm unable to play any music however via the SPDIF connector. Does anybody know a fix for this? Will music play via media player via optical/coax, or do you have to connect the single pin to stereo output? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately if you read the release notes for the Vista compatible driver it tells you not to use it on your particular sound card ;(?http://us.creative.com/support/downl...rtype=&x=2&y=7?Notes:
DO NOT?install this driver for Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit, Sound Blaster Audigy LS, Sound Blaster Audigy SE, or Sound Blaster Audigy Value.<However when you tell the site you have an Audigy Value card it directs you to these incompatible drivers

  • Will ATTO UL3D (OEM) CARD WORK WITH OS X 10.5?

I had an Atto UL3D (OEM) scsi card installed when I purchased my Dual 2 Ghz PowerPC G5 from new, and so far it has worked through all upgrades to Mac OS X 10.4.10.
I am now planning to upgrade to Leopard.
Atto have stated to me that the UL3D is an end-of-life product, and don't really know if their driver works. However, the Atto UL4D and UL4S are supported with Leopard.
Does anybody know if the Atto UL3D scsi card will work after I install Leopard?

Yes it does. Any version of iPhoto back to v5 runs.

  • MS office OEM being sold with, used "as is" hardware on ebay

    Hello,
I was interested in purchasing an older version of MS office and found one on ebay that was OEM new, but states it is bundled with a piece of "as is" used hardware.  I checked the MS OEM licensing pages and am not sure that this is a legit
way to purchase this product, and wanted to make sure it is ok before purchasing it. As I want a legal proper version purchased correctly.

The sale of OEM software with "qualifying hardware purchase" is an old rule that isn't used anymore. Even now you can buy OEM Office 2013 without a qualifying hardware purchase. Any Office products that are post EOS (Office 2010 and older) are
outside of any past rules and can be sold without hardware as well. The reason why some sellers on Ebay still offer OEM software (Windows or Office) with a piece of hardware is because they likely do not know the rule has changed.
Either way, regarding purchasing something on Ebay, if you buy Office with "as is" hardware, you obviously aren't buying it for the hardware. The software should only be sealed and if the seller does not offer returns (say, the product key is in
use or blocked) then I would stay away. Caveat Emptor, as they say.

  • Management agents for 10g OEM Grid setup with HP's MC/Serviceguard

I am trying to set up the OEM Management agents in a MCserviceguard environment.
Each db is a serviceguard "package" with its own disks and a floating IP. The floating
IP is constant, but is dynamicly associated with whichever server currently hosts the package.
The goal is to have a Management agent (formerly Intelligent agent) per db.
There are notes and tech forums on how this is achieved in version 9.2 with
Intelligent Agent. However, not having any luck in finding this for 10g.
    In 9.2, a forum note
    From: John Low 14-Sep-04 21:20
Subject: OEM setup with HPs MC-Serviceguard
Has anyone setup the 10g Management agents to run on an MC Service Guard environment
(or similar cluster environment on another platform)? If you have please let me know!!

Here is a nice document that should answer your question
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/availability/pdf/MAA_WP_10gEMAgentActivePassive.pdf
I did not bother installing three agents. I just installed one at the package level. My hosts are monitored by HP Openview. OEM just monitors the databases.
I have not used the command line parameter in runInstaller to set the hostname. Here is how I did it - may not be supported though. I have learnt the hard way that with HPUX you are on your own for most part with OEM. I modify Disk1/install/oraparam.ini. Change SHOW_HOSTNAME=NEVER_SHOW to SHOW_HOSTNAME=ALWAYS_SHOW. Installer will prompt you for hostname and the network card to use. Choose the one to which the service guard ip is attached to and change the hostname.
Take a look at my previous post regarding installing management service – I have the tweaking described in more detail. The tweak is same for both management agent and management service install.

  • Live! SB022x (or any OEM model) owners with driver installation problems ... [Help 'maybe' he

    Hi
Problems to get 'drivers'/'driver updates' installed for your Li've! or other SB models on XP or W2k system?
If ctzapxx.exe method didn't work either for you, have you tried 'forced' driver installation yet? If not here is what you can do.
NOTE: THIS METHOD DOES NOT WORK W/ ALL DRIVER PACKAGES, BECAUSE OF THE USED INSTALLER IS NOT THE SAME (ctcomp.dat is not available on those)
    . download [url="http://members.aol.com/dvdking200/Pub/ctcomp.exe">this utility[/url]
    2. download driver package (or installation ISO/rip) you want to install and extract it to your HD (you can also install Audigy X drivers for your Li've! card if you like)
    3. run ctcomp.exe and point it to look from
    - ..\Audio\Setup -folder, found as a subfolder in folder you extracted the ISO/rip
    - 'main folder' (for. ex. AUD_EAX4DRV_0303) when you're installing driver update (data.cab must exist on that folder)
    4. press Patch button
    5. install your drivers by running setup.exe located
    - at same ..\Audio\Setup -folder when setting up from extracted ISO
    - at 'main' folder when you're installing driver update

The reason i said this should be a sticky is that these boards move so fast that its impossiable for new comers to keep up with threads that have AWESOME tips that may or may not help but how many of us have accually gone through every post in the last 60 days to try and find a fix? I know I have not, but in the end you need to try everything you can.
Something like this is not on the Creative FAQ data base so the only people to know about this possiable fix are the few who catch it in time.
In my experience there is ALWAYS more than way to do things and 0 ways to get it to work with 20 other methods to run it. Thats a lot of ways to do the one thing. So unless we have a huge data base with every possiable fix, method or forceiable way to do something then more and more people will get really upset that Creative offer no help.
Take the way Creative say to un-install drivers, man, this for the most part never works, so something like this may be the only way to get it to work for some people.
What I do is though, I copy a thread like this one and will pass it on to others if need be. Ofcause with all credit to the original poster and I never pass it off as my fix and/work.
I I like to cover every possiable aspect to do something. Ya know what i mean

  • OEM Grid Control with vmware

We've just purchased OEM. We plan 2 installs - one on a development server to monitor development dbs, the other a production server to monitor production dbs. Our technical group wants me to install it on one Windows 2003 Server using vmware giving me 2 virtual servers. This way they only have to purchase 1 physical server yet I get the 2 installs I want. Oracle support said they wouldn't support this type of install.
    Has anyone done this?

Yes, I have exactly the same setting. Works like a charm, but it does need some hefty resources. As this is only a test setting on my laptop I do not expect much support.
Maybe you should not mention that you run this on vmware when you have a support question ;-)

  • OEM JOBS created with OWB

    Hello !!
I registered a job in OEM using Oracle Warehouse Builder.
When I execute the PLSQL, by OWB, my MAP executes and
populate the table, but when I try to do it using the
job that I registered in the OEM(by OWB too), it fails !!
    Somobody could help me ?
    Thanks !
    Renato

Well, I think you need to create a job (using a TCL script) and to have something
    like:
    execute name_of_the_job.main(p1,p2);
    inside your script.
//where p1, p2 are the parameters of the job(if there is any ... ) otherwise
    execute name_of_the_job.main();
    I hope this will help.

  • RMAN via OEM: Skipping days with incremental backups

    Hello,
I've searched the forums and browsed much of the documentation on OTN but have not found the answer to my question. I am using RMAN (through Oracle Enterprise Manager) to schedule backups. I want to get full database backups on Fridays and incrementals Monday through Thursday. I would like to have the backups running at 11 PM each night. I have scheduled the full database backups to occur every Friday. The problem is I cannot schedule the incrementals to skip Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I don't want incrementals on Friday since the full database backup will be running. No transactions are occurring on Saturday or Sunday so there is no need to backup on those days either.
    Thank you for any help,
    Paul Lohr

You have had issues with FileID 74 earlier
    [RMAN] problem with registering database
    DATAFILE RECOVER STATUS
and now with FileID 75 ?
Bring in Oracle Support. Log an SR. Ask for ACS onsite. Don't use forums.oracle.com for such issues.

  • OEM 10g with earlier version of db

    Hi,
is it possible to manage all my databases ( version 10g, 9i, 8i ) with only one installed OEM 10g?
    Thank you.
    Tibor

I'm running a 10gR1 oem on windows with 9.2.0.6 (now upgraded to 9.2.0.7) and 8.1.7.4 instances.
As long as the 10g agent runs on the host OS it will mamage the instances - even 32-bit 8i on Solaris-32 and Windows, althout Solaris-32 has been dropped from 10gR2
if you want to run 10gR2 oem then 9i must be 9.2.0.7 (hence why I upgraded - we're building a new 10gR2 oem server)

  • How to inegrate OID with OEM 12c Cloud Control

    Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me how can I integrate OID with OEM 12c Cloud Control. As we can integrate our weblogic administration console with OID,is it possible to integrate OEM cloud control with OID?
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi,
    Please find the URL below:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/security.htm#BABGAGIJ
Following section will provide you the information for OID intergration:
    13.2.5 Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
You can implement an OID-based authentication scheme to have Enterprise Manager authenticate users against the OID.
Running the emctl config auth oid command on the OMS creates a WebLogic authentication provider of type OracleInternetDirectoryAuthenticator that uses the configuration parameter values specified by the command. Any configuration values not specified retain the default values. Tuning and modification of advanced OID configuration parameters is carried out through the WebLogic Server Administration Console and not the emctl config auth oid command.
    Prerequisites
Oracle Internet Directory LDAP server is set up and running.
Run the emctl config auth oid command on each OMS.
    emctl config auth oid -ldap_host <ldap host> -ldap_port <ldap port> -ldap_principal <ldap principal> [-ldap_credential <ldap credential>] [-sysman_pwd <pwd>] -user_base_dn <user base DN> -group_base_dn <group base DN>
    where:
    ldap_host: LDAP host name
    ldap_port: LDAP port
ldap_principal: The distinguished name (DN) of the LDAP user the WebLogic server should use to connect to the LDAP server.
ldap_credential: Password for the user specified by ldap_principal.
user_base_dn: The base distinguished name (DN) of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains users.
group_base_dn - The base distinguished name (DN) of the tree in the LDAP directory that contains groups.
    Example:
    emctl config auth oid -ldap_host "ldaphost" -ldap_port "3060" -ldap_principal "cn=orcladmin" -user_base_dn "cn=users,dc=us,dc=oracle,dc=com" -group_base_dn "cn=groups,dc=us,dc=oracle,dc=com" -ldap_credential "my_ldap_password" -sysman_pwd "my_sysman_password"
    Stop the OMS.
    emctl stop oms -all
    Restart the OMS.
    emctl start oms
    Note:
For Enterprise Manager deployments consisting of multiple OMS instances, emctl config auth oid must be run on each OMS. Each OMS must be restarted in order for changes to take effect.
    Testing the OID Configuration
Use the WebLogic Server Administration Console (Users and Groups tab) to check whether the OID configuration has been successful. To navigate to this tab, select Home/Summary of Security Realms/myrealm/Users and Groups. From the Users and Groups tab, you should see users and groups showing up from the OID.
    Best Regards,
    Venkat
