OEM Capacity Planner - location of help definitions for data items
Does anyone know the location of the help definitions for the OEM Capacity Planner data items? In the GUI, these definitions are accessible individually from Help > Selected Item. The definition provides a description, source, and user action.
I would like to consolidate these into a glossary for our users of OEM C.P., as well as in a planning document.

Unable to locate the xml-definition for FieldName with FieldId
On a site collection of SP2013 on-premise farm, I found there are many similar log occur every minute. The logs are like:

The log level is medium. The same set of log occur every minute with same set of 60 different GUIDs. All related function on the site is working as expected. By using PowerShell to loop thru the site collections I confirmed there is no field using these
GUID. Also I have checked the content database and configuration database, also no luck to finding these GUIDs.
These logs should be related with the search service since the Authentication Authorization log mentioned it is the "Crawler" account in action. However I have no idea why the crawler keep looking for these GUID. I have reset the farm service multiple
times already.
The farm was upgraded from SP2010 and it seems no such logs before upgrade.

From your description, this issue ocurred after you upgraded SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013. Is it right?
Whether you have some solutions in SharePoint 2010.
If yes, please make sure you deploy the solution in SharePoint 2013 well after you upgraded to SharePoint 2013.

I´ve a solution which contains a custom field type (found somewhere on the net, the custom field type maps a choice field to managed metadata). There is a second solution which contains site column and site content type definitions using the custom field
type definition from field type solution.
On my developement environment, there is no problem with this two solutions. When field type solution is deployed, i can deploy the content type solution and activate the feature and everything is fine.
However if i give the two solutions to our adminstrator to deploy them into our staging environment, content type feature activation fails. Deploying the field type solution makes no problems. The field type is then available and i can manually creates
columns with this new field type. However activating the content type solution fails with the error shown in the title of this message. The FieldID from the message is not part of my content type project. Searching the net doens´t show any results for that
id. So i think it´s not some of the standard field id´s from sharepoint.

Dump in Value-Help Component for date
I created a Value-Help-Component for date fields. (I cannot use the standard value help, because I need the help to start in the month, the user is working on).
I am using the Date Navigator to select a date.
If I first change the month with an arrow of the date navigator and then select a date I get a dump in the method IF_WD_CONTEXT_ELEMENT~GET_ATTRIBUTE_REF in line
attr_info = me->node_info->if_wd_context_node_info~get_attribute( name_only ).
, because the element does not have a node_info.
If I just choose a date in the preselected month (without using the arrows of the date navigator) everything is fine.
Does anybody have an idea??
Many thanks in advance.I found the "solution" to the problem myself.
I used the method bind_structure in the component containing the date navigator.
After I replaced it by set_static_attributes it worked without producing dumps.

Possible? Using External Definitions for data type/message type definitions
Hi all,
i want to use external definitons in my own data type definitions. Is that possible? And if yes, how?
I imported many definitions via a mass import. Now I also want to use these definitions for further interfaces (than the imported ones). The most convenient would be of course to just use them as a custom created type. Can I somehow "convert" an external definition to a data type/message type?

The External defination which you has been imported that cant use in DT and MT but yeah you can use this in Service interface.
you cant modify that External defination if you want to do that then 1st of all modify it and then reimport it as an another external defination.
and creating service interface with this ED you can use it in your message mapping .

I have to change it to '2010-06-04T02:09:59.000-07:00'. ie, if the seconds are 59.XXX, or 60.XXX, then change to 59.000.

The only change using date function is for the first two dates, in which 59.XXX and 60.XXX need to be replaced with 59.000
Using the above date function, all the seconds 59.XXX, 58.XXX, 60.XXX, etc etc,,, are converted to 59.000, 58.000 and 60.000
I dont need this as per the requirement. So looks like the UDF needs to be altered a little to accomodate my requirement.

Lync 2013 Capacity Planner 20 User Help
Hey guys,
I have an organization of 20 users and am considering Lync since we want to replace our PBX any way which is a discontinued Nortel BCM.
Did I complete this correctly for 20 users and want to assume they have every available feature enabled.

Question 1: So if this is correct I only need 1 virtual server that would be Front End and assign 20GB of ram?
Question 2: Would this still require an edge if I want my users to be able to use their mobile devices and allow non employees to dial in for conferences and etc?
Question 3: Any this would require a maximum of 100mb of bandwidth to achieve this at full load?
Question 4: We currently have a PRI of 16 lines and paying about $600 a month. I am thinking that we could save a good chunk of cash going to pure VOIP sip from an online provider. Any recommendation on this?
I was thinking of going with
http://www.ietherspeak.com/microsoft-sip/index.htm since they are a recommended Microsoft Lync provider. But the main issue is I cant afford for quality to be poor when in the office my CEO needs crystal clear audio to be happy.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.Your calculator looks mostly correct, but honestly for an organization of your size, there won't be a significant change if you tweak the numbers slightly.
1.) Yes and no. The Front End server will get you all the functionality, but only internally. If you want to support external access to Lync meetings, the use of Lync outside the office, and the new Lync 2013 mobile client, then you will also
need an Edge server (separate server), and some way to publish Lync Front End Web Services externally.
2.) Yes, you will want an Edge server. The Edge server will allow your company to use Lync externally (remote sign-in), other users outside your org to join web conferences, and the new mobile platform. Anyone joining a conference call from a
non-Lync endpoint (cell phone, home phone, etc) will come in across the PSTN which does not go through the Edge.
3.) The 100 MB figure you see is related to the Front End server, and not specifically your internet bandwidth requirement. You will want your servers and switches on your LAN to run at 1 Gbps. Is your internet connection 20 Mbps down/20 Mbps
up or something else? There are many other factors which may go into determining if your existing internet throughput is sufficient.
4.) 16 POTS lines seems like overkill for an office of 20 users, but once you start hosting conference calls, depending on the number of dial-in attendees may quickly consume these channels. You could potentially save some $$$ by moving to a SIP trunk
(any of the Lync certified vendors will be fine), but again that depends on some further calculations. If you plan on keeping your existing 16 POTS lines, you will also need a VOIP gateway to bridge Lync and a the Public Telephone Network.
5.) You will not be able to get QoS over the internet if you are looking at a SIP trunk. There is just no way to guarantee that type of service once it hits the public internet. That said, we have had a pretty good experience with SIP trunks,
and assuming you select a Lync certified provider, you will not notice any difference in quality.
In regard to business continuity - remember that the extension of your office phone number to your Lync mobile client is still done via your office internet/PSTN connection. If you office gets hit with a disaster, there will be no Lync server to relay
the call to your mobile. In that case, you would want to call your telecom carrier and ask to have those numbers forwarded to their respective cell phone numbers. -

I have created one form using screen painter displaying text boxes and bind them to the table.
This form is working absolutely fine when there are some data in table (i.e. Browse using navigation)
My problem is, when I click add button from tool bar the "OK" button turn to "Add" that means the form is set to Add mode, but when I click "Add" button after entering some data nothing happens and input data is not stored in Table. The same "OK" Button turned to "Update" when I do changes in loaded data, but my changes are not reflected to table after I click "Update".Thanks Nagarajan,

There is no such query. The table fields is directly linked to Edit Box or Combo Box in form.
From the examples I learned that I have to do something like this to get my table updated

Problem 1
Is there a possibility to display the values with a date range.
I mean if there is no data for a particular date within the given range. it should display some null value.
Eg.
table name : sample

1 4-may-2004 xyz engr-2
The query is
select * from sample where date1 between '01-may-2004' and '04-may-2004'.
The result of query will be

If you have Oracle9i you can do this using a PIPELINED function to act as a pivot table (in earlier versions you will have to have a table of some description - ALL_OBJECTS will do in a pinch).

Help needed for Data Pump.

I am using oracle 11g release2 and I am not able to find data pump utility in SQL developer.
Please let me know, if I need to install it. I am new to this utility.

As the name implies, SQL Developer is intended to be used as a tool to facilitate development (typically of SQL code), as well as provide additional features to assist developers in their daily routines.
DataPump, is more of a DBA tool used for extracting logical copies of data from an existing database and/or port to another database. To use this utility, you would typically need to be in the dba group (although not necessary if configured properly). But at least on the same server as the datapump utility software resides.
There are many options and features to using datapump, including network_link which allows extraction of data from a remote database to another database on a different server without ever creating a file on the operating system.
If I recall correctly, I believe in older versions of Oracle client (e.g., 8.x), the Oracle client provided the export/import utility. But those days are long gone now. With datapump, it is primary a DBA tool. -

There is a KB article that explains how one would compare dates in Publisher. In short, you can't hard-code a string in the presentation template to compare to a date property. It will never return true. The only way to compare is to use another date property.
