OEM - Coherence - Weblogic Versions compatibilty !

Hi,
We wanted to deploy to have a deployment of Coherence and Enterprise Manager with our Weblogic Server (10.3.0.0)
We decided to go for Coherence 3.6 since it is a major release. Also, we want to avoid upgrading Weblogic Application Server to 11g since it may involve much more work.
The question is : Does Coherence 3.6 works with OEM(Enterprise Manager) 11G R1 or not ?
My research tells me : OEM 11g Release 1 (11.1.0.1) and 10g release 5 both work with Coherence 3.5.x

    Hello again!
Our client has the following server setup:
Oracle Weblogic 10.3.4 and Oracle database 10g running on Linux SUSE 10 SP3, all on a VMWare 4.1 virtual machine.
They intend to install LiveCycle Reader Extensions on Windows Server 2008 and use this Weblogic + Oracle database setup on Linux.
    Possible?
    Thank you!

  • Weblogic.version gives java error after install of D33T

    Hi,
I just installed patch D33T (Oracle WebLogic Server Patch Set Update 10.3.6.0.4) - released April 2013. Before installing the patch, I checked my weblogic version (running setWLSEnv and java weblogic.version) following the instructions in the readme and the command worked.
The patch installed fine, I then checked the version again (first doing setWLSEnv and then running java weblogic.version) - however this produced the java error 'NoClassDefFoundError' - could not find the main class: weblogic.version.
I found a blog entry that suggested adding the weblogic.jar to the classpath, so I did that, then exported the classpatch, ran the setWLSEnv.sh again and tried the java weblogic.version command again - but still received the java error. I then tried running the command from the folder containg the weblogic.jar and still no luck.
Anyone have any ideas why this may be producing errors?
    Thanks,
    Connie
Environment info: RHEL 64 - Weblogic SErver 11gR1 (10.3.6.0) - The servers start and seem to be running fine after the patch install.

I was trying a few more things after I sent my last reply and wondered if my classpath and path values might have not had correct values after running setWLSENV.sh
When I echo'ed their values, they came back without any of the values being set by setWLSEnv.sh
I then set them by copying and pasting the values echo'ed back from the setWLSEnv.sh file - by using export CLASSPATH=$CLASSPATH:<<paste of echo'ed classpath from setWLSEnv.sh>> and then the same for the path. After this, I tried the java weblogic.version and that worked - so now, I guess I am left to deal with issue of my setWLSEnv.sh not setting the CLASSPATH and PATH variables.
    Thanks,
    Connie

  • Upgrade weblogic version to 10.x

    Hi,
I have application developed using JDK1.4.2 and running in weblogic v7.x. If I were to upgrade to weblogic version 10.x, will I have face problem in terms of JDK compatilibility? Anyone has such experience?

Well, with a few tweaks you should manage to get it running. We had to migrate an ear which was initially developed for OAS 10gR2 (Java 1.4) to WebLogic 10.3. It took as some time
but we managed to do it in the end. Probably from weblogic to weblogic, the migration should be even easier.
I think in the beginning WebLogic 10.3 was accepting the ear compiled by javac 1.4, though later we switched to 1.6 for obvious reasons.

  • FORMS 11G & WebLogic Version

    Hi,
How I can know which is the compatbile version of forms with weblogic version?
    For forms 11.1.1.2.0 ? WebLogic ?
    For forms 11.1.1.6.0 ? WebLogic ?
    For forms 11.1.2.0.0 ? Weblogic?
    Regards,

The version numbers mostly match in Release 1. So notice the last digit. This only applies to FMw 11.1.1.x (Release 1)

  • Struts support in Oracle Workshop for WebLogic Version 10.3

    Hello:
Which version of Struts does Oracle Workshop for WebLogic Version 10.3 support?
I can't get it in the Release Notes or in the tutorial http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13224_01/wlw/docs103/guide/webapplications/struts/strutsTutorial/0.intro.html.
    Thanks for any input.

    Hi,
    Currently workshop 10.3 facets will only provide struts 1.2 / 1.1 / 1.0
But we can use latest version of the struts like 1.3 also as we need to add those jar files under windows preference >> weblogic shared library.
But later we can change the Facets file and try to work with newer version of struts.
Let me know if you need any further help on this issue.
    Regards,
    Kal.

  • Which WebLogic version is stable

    Dear All ,
    Have a small doubt.....please help me ....
Currently our application is supporting Jboss 5.1.0 and our team wants to support weblogic as well...... As iam a newbie to weblogic and browsed for some info and found that
weblogic 10.3 & weblogic 11.x are mostly used now ...
But which one of it is a stable product ?? is it ok if we use 10.3 ( I mean shall v get all features that jboss 5.1.0 gives?? ) and we want support for java 6 as well........
Requesting somebody to provide valuable suggestions .....

Of course it is very hard to say with 100% certainty that some software product is stable.
But so far (knock on wood) I have not really experienced any instabilities.
    - some problems concerning JPA2.0 and JSF2.0 are occasionally reported and can be read about on this forum
If you need to choose for a certain WebLogic version, I think it wise to choose the latest version (10.3.5), which can be downloaded here:
Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but this is all I can make of it.

  • How to find WebLogic version?

I downloaded 7.0.0.1 (Said it was 7.0.0.1 in the title bar of the
installer) yet the Console -> Versions tab in the console shows me
that it's 7.0.0.0....is this a bug, or is this not the right place
    to see version information?
    Thanks,
    -Paul

Your version 7.0.0.1 breaks down as such:
    major_level=7
    minor_level=0
    service_pack_level=0
    rolling_patch_level=1
The difference between 7.0.0.0 and 7.0.0.1 is the rolling patch level.
If you're not getting the right version reported by weblogic.version, you should
find a build number next to it (something like #180205). Is it different for
    the 7.0.0.1 release?

  • Coherence Client version

    HI,
We upgraded coherence Server to coherence version 3.7.1.8.
We have Coherence client version as 3.6.1.
Should we also upgrade the client to 3.7.1.8 or Can client version be lower than Server version?

Yes, the Coherence 3.6.1 client should work with 3.7.1.8 server, but not the other way around. It would be good to upgrade the client to 3.7.1.8 as well if you know the client will connect to 3.7.1.8 servers.

  • Windows Vista OEM vs Retail versions

I am looking to install Windows Vista onto a bootcamp partition. Should I purchase a OEM version of the operating system, or the retail version? I am looking to upgrade Vista to Windows 7, but I am able to purchase the upgrade version of Windows 7. Which tells me that I need some sort of operating system first to upgrade from.
What is the differences between the OEM version and the Retail version beside price? For instance, if I were ever to delete my windows partition, would I be able to reinstall vista, then windows 7 using either the OEM or retail version of Vista? Also, would I be able to use the same OEM or retail version on a different computer and different partition?

Depends on what you mean by an OEM version. OEM versions typically are discs that came with a particular computer model and are now being sold off separately by some third-party. In most cases these discs will not work for you. Hence the need to buy a standard retail copy.
OEM discs may also not be accepted for activation by MS after installation. MS' activation site will nag you about using an illegal copy. Eventually it will boot into black background screen and not allow you to perform any kind of upgrades.

  • Unknown error when loading graph in weblogic version 10.3.4.0

    Hi
I have a JSF page which shows displays data. The graph is being displayed properly when running locally(in Jdeveloper's embedded weblogic).
But after deploying to the actual weblogic server (WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.4.0) , I am getting the following error when the JSF page containing the graph is loaded.
*"An unknown error occurred during data streaming."*
The data source is referring to the same database that I am connected to from the Jdeveloper when running locally
    Jdeveloper Version is: 11.1.1.4.0
Can anyone please state the possible reason for this and what could be the possible reasons for errors in data streaming

i get very similar error trying to deploy to a managed server in weblogic (not to the default managed server) weblogic 10.3.5 jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.
