OEM discovers HTTP server but with wrong port

Oracle 9i
OEM discovers all my nodes but shows my HTTP server running on port 80 when it's actually on 7777. How to correct this? Where is OEM getting port 80 from? I have looked at the httpd.conf and other config files and can't locate the problem. Please help.
Thanks
Dave

David,
Did you ever get this problem solved? I am having what sounds like the same thing.
In my case the http server discovered is at port 443 which is the SSL port. What should be there (I think) is 7777, the actual port.
Can anyone help?
Larry

i try to restore the database in the same server but with other sid (name) . The backup is on tape and
I want to know the steps I should follow.
    thank.

To perform restore of database in same host to choose another DB name you can go for
    1) duplicate using RMAN.
Directory structure should be different so take care of db_file_name_convert & log_file_name_convert parameters
Also check the Tns services exactly is it pointing to target & auxiliary

  • MAIL 1.3.11: server error with the port 110

I have 10.3.9 with MAIL 1.3.11 and I can't conect to the server with the port 110... why does it happens? how i fix that? thanx

I don't understand your obsession with overstuffed mailboxes.
What are you talking about? As I told you in a previous post, Mail sometimes chokes on a message it cannot download and that prevents it from downloading the rest as well. This is a relatively common problem. It has absolutely nothing to do with overstuffed mailboxes.
The two servers are failing to connect.
This is wrong! And which two servers are you talking about? According to the activity information you reported, Mail is connecting to the POP server, but failing to download the messages it sees there for some reason...
If you want to mess with the contents of your ~/Library/Mail/ folder (which you said in your first post you didn’t want to do), there are a couple of things you may try as well.
For POP accounts, Mail uses a file within the account folder to keep track of which messages have already been downloaded. Deleting that file causes Mail to treat everything still on the server as if new and try to download it again:
    1. Quit Mail.
    2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/.
    3. Locate one or two files named MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded and move them to the Trash. Mail 1.x used MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded to keep track of which messages had already been downloaded. Mail 2.x uses MessageUidsAlreadyDownloaded2 for the same purpose.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

  • Http server configuration with mod_ntlm and mod_plsql

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I will try anyway. We are trying to configure Oracle http server to use mod_ntlm to authenticate users for html-db application. After we configure the server to use mod_ntlm for mod_plsql content(pls), all the requests failed with 400 Bad Requests error. It looks like the mod_plsql does not recognize the http header for NTLM authentication(which is encrypted). Anyone knows how to make mod_ntlm and mod_plsql work together in oracle http server(i.e. Apache)? Thanks.

sorry, 291509, but this is the wrong forum for your question. one of these forums is used to determine the appropriate forums for posting. i'm, of course, not sure which one that is, but i'd start there if i were you.

    Hi
Starting TA RSRT you can open ABAP WEB query in separatly browser

For that an url adress is generated.
    Normaly it looks like <server>:8000/xxx.
One my workstation it works well & fine. In the other hand some of our

    Could you explain this?
    Many thanks for a feedback.
    Bestr Regards

    Hi Franco,
Strange... This should works or not for everybody.
Maybe you have a web dispatcher.Sometimes this is the root cause.
Well, first of all, check the note below:

Ensure your system is correctly configured by this note.

  • User home directories create but with wrong permissions

    Create user in OD.
User account shows up in the assigned Users directory, but with owner root and group admin. Users is on an Xsan volume. I get this in the log:
    Nov 13 20:49:18 fsserver2 DirectoryTools[341]: copyDirectory(en, /Network/Servers/fsserver2.xxxxxxxx.com/Volumes/uservol/Users/mondtruong) failed with 1
    Anyone?

Seems that this is only set at the Root folder, sub folders have the following.
This partly answers my question, but how can I see what those "custom" levels are.
I will be wanting to move my Home folder to another drive and want to make sure the permissions are set so that only the authorized user has access, without causing any issues with system access. So need to make sure I have all the permissions set right.
    Thoughts?

  • Embedded http server problem with port 80

    Hello Guys/Gals,
I have just installed the latest version of Oracle XE and APEX on redhat linux. I am trying to get rid of the 8080 port in my url. So I am trying to change my port to 80. I logged into pl/sql as system - exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport('80'); that seems to run fine. If I look at my lsnrctl status - I do not see the line for it listening on port 80 like it does when it's set to port 8080? I changed the owner of lsnrctl to root? I read that in an article to set port < 1024? Can someone please help me out. I am sure it's a permission thing but I can't figure it out. By the way everything works fine when the port is set to 8080 but???
    Thanks,
    Dan

Update I belive I got it to work. Here is what I think I did to make it work.
    chown root:root $ORACLE_HOME/bin/tnslsnr
    chmod 4755 tnslsnr
I logged into sqlplus as system -
    exec dbms_xdb.sethttpport('80');
Then added the following line to the $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/listener.ora LISTENER section
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = dpmsurf)(PORT = 80))
    (PROTOCOL_STACK = (PRESENTATION = HTTP) (SESSION = RAW))
the stopped and started the listner
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl stop
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin/lsnrctl start
Now I can run with out putting the port in the url .
    Thanks,
    Dpmsurf

  • Logon to WebGUI from Management Console with wrong Ports

    Hello SDN,
I install the new SAP Management Console on my workstation. It works perfectly exept logon to abap through WebGUI.
If I cklick on to <SAP Logon...> from the context menue of the ABAP instanz, I get a browser with an URL   http://<host>:50000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui. That doesn't work because the Port of ICM is 8000.
How I can setup the right port?
    Many Thanks in advance
    Vladimir

    Hi,
many thanks for your answer, but something is not clear.
I call SAP MC with such URL  http://server1:50013/sapmc/sapmc.html
The ABAP System that I want to logon is under the URL http://server2:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui reachable.
If I try to logon from SAP MC I get an URL http://server2:50000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui
    ICM on server1
icm/server_port_0 is setup for HTTP 8000 on abap side(server2). This is ABAP only ERP 6.00 system
    ICM on server2
    icm/HTTP/j2ee_0 = PREFIX=/,HOST=localhost,CONN=0-500,PORT=5$$00
icm/server_port_0 is setup for HTTP 80$$
The question is - what ICM use SAP MC in that case?
Where I schould maintene the ICM parameters?
    Best regards
    Vladimir

  • Windows 7 Recognizes Touch But With Wrong Properties

My Sony VAIO recognizes the iPod on "My Computer", but as an 8GB with no files. My Touch is a 16GB. I cannot transfer apps purchased from the PC to the Touch.
I have used all the diagnostics, and everything is fine except the connectivity test says, "no iPod found".
    Any suggestions?

Some days after posting here, I asked this question at another Canon website, and learned that in circumstances similar to mine described here, Canon recommends that the MP560 "be connected to your Windows computer then shared to your Macintosh", rather than, as in my case, having the MP560 connected to the Mac and then shared with the Windows computers.

    Hello,
we have a solution manager 4.0 installation on IBM iSeries (System i / AS 400).

    Any idea ?
Is anything wrong with our configuration(which we did not change manually) ?
Do we have to patch the kernel ?
    Best regards,

    Hello Mr.Hermsen,
some profile parameters were set wrong by the installation routines.
SAP send me some reference profiles from a running solution manager installation and I synchronized our profiles accordingly.
I cannot remember exactly which parameters were wrong, but i guess it was one of the port numbers.
    Good luck and best regards,

  • HTTP Server - change port 7777 to 80

    Hi all!
I have installed, in Linux_x86 (Enterprise Linux), a database 10.2.0.1, the HTTP Server from companion CD and the Apex 2.2.1.
I want to change the default port of HTTP Server 7777 to the port 80.
For that I change the httpd.conf:
    port:80
    listen:80
then I follow the manual of administration of HTTP Server and I done:
as root - chown root .apachectl
    chmod 7560 .apachectl
I change again to user oracle and I tried to restart the HTTP Server but i can't.
    error:
    RCV: Permission denied
Communication error with the OPMN server local port.
    Check the OPMN log files
Now, I only can start the HTTP Server with the user root.
Is that normal? I missed something?
And now I can access the page of the http server but i can´t reach the Apex - when I write http://hostname/pls/apex - the browser change it to http://hostname/pls/apex/apex and gives the following error:
    Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.
    Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.2.0.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Server at oracle.com.pt Port 80
    Thank you in advance,
    CD

  • Installing Apex 4 on Oracle 11.2.0.3 with Oracle HTTP Server on WINDOWS

Has someone put together a cookbook on installing the above? I have tried following the documentation; but it is in dire need of updating. I have become quite confused as to how to piece together alll of the parts. Seemed much easier in 10.2...
    TIA!

TIA!After a database re-install on my Windows 7 laptop 2 months ago I tried to install the HTTP server but had trouble getting it to work. After a day or two I gave up and used the EPG which works with some performance issues - pages can take many seconds to render. I think there is a conflict between the EPG and security software on the laptop but have not been able to pin down the exact problem. Anyway, the EPG is not an option for you and even Oracle does not reccommend it for production implementations. The EPG is okay for quick-and-dirty R & D but real implentation should have something better. I prefer the EPG on my laptop because the Apex listener required an extra window to be open that I was likely to close by mistake (my error yes. Reality is sometimes stupid).
I have had several sucessful installs on older versions of Apex on Oracle 9 and 10 on Windows XP using the HTTP server but always struggle with the configuration; getting the settings in the .conf file (whatever it is called now) correct remains difficult (at least for me). I keep installation notes on problems encountered and their solutions. Typical issues I encounter are
    1. Incorrect configuration file settings
    2. Improper loading of images
    3. Missing installation steps (unlocking ANONYMOUS, for instance, or not updating the PL/SQL version).
    4. Make sure the correct URL is being used
    5. When using the HTTP Server making sure it is running by using its URL is very heplful
Follow the installation instructions for your platform and listener. If something does not work first review the installtion instructions very carefully, then perform web searches for answers to the problem. Except for last time when I lost patience with the HTTP server the installations have always worked.
I also find Windows 7 painful - the added security prevents me from editing needed files without jumping through hoops. I don't even want to think about Windows 8 ...
