  • OEM notification doesn't send mail

    1. I have Notifications Method setup, tested it and working fine.
    2. I also have email specified on Preferences --> email addresses and also tested and worked fine.
    3. Rules was ALL subscribed to send email.
so when I did a test to shutdown one of the service down, OEM never trigger an email.
    What am I missing here?
    thanks all

    Hi
    Follow this workaround
Login to grid console with sysman user and press Configuration In the section of Administrators press create , and write the necessary information (remember grant the SUPERADMINISTRATOR privilege to this account).
Disconnect from GC and reconect with the new user. Go to preferences and in this section add the mail address and edit the schedule planification and introduce the mail address in all hours. Save the changes.
Press Notification Rules and press Create
Select the database instance like target and select a specified oracle database target. Ensure that you can testing with this database.
In the metrics tab press add button and select a metric of example ( blocking session count ) and enable the critical and clear button. Save the changes and exit.
Go to the GC console --- Targets --- Databases . Select the target database that you have selected in the rule.
In the home page go down and press Metric and Policiy settings . In the checkbox select all metrics. Then all metrics with and without values appear. Find the blocking session count and in the critical theshold write 0, the warning must be empty and the relacional operator > .
    warning critical
Blocking session count > 0 Every 1 minutes
In the collect time change to every 1 minute . Press OK to apply the changes in the repository.
    Open 2 sessions of sqlplus
    first session
    CREATE TABLE LOCK_EXAMPLE ( C1 NUMBER, c2 number);
    table created
    LOCK TABLE LOCK_EXAMPLE;
iN THE SECOND SESSION run this
    INSERT INTO LOCK_EXAMPLE VALUES (555,555);
IN THIS MOMENT THE SECOND SESSION IS WAITING FOR FIRST SESSION. After two or three minutes go to GC console and select the database. A critical alert must be appear with the message: Blocking session count value 1
Then in your mail , you must have received the ALERT

  • Alert notification configuration for Deadline

We are in SRM7.0. For Sc and PO,I have to send alert when the workitem is not processed for 48 hours. I did the configuration in SPRO. The system is trying to send the alert. Whne I check the log in SLG1, it is giving the error message as 'No alert category found'.
When I check the SOST, I see mails with subject 'Alert could not be delivered. Please check document &OBJECT_ID&'. All are in
error status. The send method used is 'RML'. I could see the message 'Cannot process message, no route from <user1> to <user2>.
In SCOT, there is no node created under RML.
Can anyone help me in configuring this alert notification for deadline?
    Thanks,
    Sivagami

    Hi
Did you Verify your configuration in IMG > Application Server>Basis Services-->Generic Business Tools --> Alert Management
These configurations are required for you to set up Deadline monitoring
    1. IMG activity Define Transaction Types
    2. IMG activity Define Events
    3. IMG activity Define Alert Categories - In the event schema the alert categories are assigned as Subcategories only to events that are to generate alerts. They determine the recipients and the subscribers  ( Subscription) and also the short and long text of the alerts. SRM supplies a predefined alert category for the relevant object type in the classification SRM Alerts and you can copy and modify this.
This is done in Event Control for the Object TYpe and Event Schema Combination in Deadline Monitoring COnfiguration under Process Controlled workflow configuration. Make sure each event which you are scheduling is having a Event Category and Subcategory of the Event. Seems you are missing something here.
For more information, see the Help Portal under
    http://help.sap.com/ -> SAP R/3 Enterprise, Release 4.70 -> SAP-NetWeaver Components -> SAP Web Application Server -> Basis-Services / Communication Interface -> Business Workplace and Services -> Alert Management -> Alert Category
    4. Then you schedule Background job for generating Deadline Alerts. Job SWWDHEX is schedule for this purpose. This is done in Automatic Workflow Customizing(SWU3) --> Maintain Runtime Environment -->Schedule Background job for Missed Deadlines

  • Humantask Notification configuration

    Hi All,
I have a human task configured in my BPEL and the notification mails are sent with some custom message defined in my .task file. Apart from the custom message I am also getting a "Action Links:      Worklist Application" URL to the worklist application.
We have some customized jsp's which are failed to open(404 Page Not Found) if it's opened from the default url provided in the notification mail. I have changed the url manually and it's working fine.
How can chnage the default url provided in the notification mail?
    We are using oracle 10.1.3.4
Any help would really be appreciated.
    Thank you,

  • OIM 11g Approval Workflow Notification Configuration

    Dear All,
Is there any documentation guide or tutorial or step by step guide about how to configure approval workflow notification in oim 11g?
In my case, a request must be approve by 3 (three) level of approver, "Requester Manager" --> "Application Business Owner" --> "Application Administrator". On each level, a notification need to be sent to the approver contains all information about the requester and the resource that requested.
How can i configure the notification since approval processes are in SOA composite and the development of the workflow is using JDeveloper?
    Many Thanks for your help.

  • Notification Configuration

I've upgraded to Mountain Lion for the notifications and I notice that these don't appear unless I have the mail or twitter clients open.
I've gone to settings on the MAC and the applications and turned on all notifications and also put this as an Alert. I send myself an email and get nothing. Then I open my email client and eventually the notification bar fills up with some of the emails.
On twitter. It only seems to work with direct messages ( not items from your normal twitter feed ), though I've not tried a direct message yet, so not sure if this even works. Which means I still have to have a twitter client on. Is there no way of having the twitter feed update with your timeline? If not, is this not a bit pointless as well?
Maybe I'm getting confused on what the notification bar is supposed to do, but I presumed that my emails and twitters would show up in this bar without having to open up the clients associated with them? Is this not the case?
Hope someone can clarify this for me.
    Thanks,
    Greg

  • G500 need help with Intel Rapid Storage Technology email notifications configuration.

I have a new Lenovo G500 laptop running Win 8.1. I have discovered the Rapid Storage Technology icon and have been trying to set up email notifications in Preferences using the desktop interface.
Without going into a lengthy description about what I have done already, I can tell you that I have configured the Email Preferences so the test email does not fail immediately, but it does not send the email, either; it just spins In Progress without stopping until cancelled manually using the button. I get no error messages.
I have looked at firewall and allowing IntelCpHeciSvc.exe through because I wanted to see if it made a difference; I have looked for Intel entries in System Configuration & Task Manager Services to try and find a reason for the test email not sending, there.
I have the correct SMTP host address and corresponding Port correct, having gleaned the info from BT's web site, and all the email addresses I have included are active.
Can anyone suggest what I am failing to address?

    Hi,
IRST(Intel Rapid Storage Technology) is mainly used for RAID setup and management.
According to Intel, it provides benefits to users of single drives as well.
    http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/sb/CS-020784.htm
It's recommend you install the proper version which is applied to every OS.
Pre-OS install driver is mainly basic driver used to make sure boot system successfully. Post-OS driver is primarily intended to some function working better.

  • Alert Notification Configuration

    Hello Experts,
Please bear with me as my question might be very basic.
We want to configure automatic email / sms notification on our landscape , only ABAP (ECC5.0 & ECC 6.0) , only Java (640,700) and ABAP+JAVA. We do have solution manager 7.0 installed.
Having no experience in this, so please provide relevent documentation.
Is it possible to get alerts (email/sms) in case Update is deactivated (becuase of any reason like space). Sometime back, this happened and we observed only after couple of hours, at least now we want to avoid such situation in future.
Similar to this, can we define alerts for critical areas like - huge number of lock entries, short dumps, etc, etc.
How Solution manager can be used in this regard.
Thanks for spending your time in reading this.
    Regards
    Davinder

    Davinder,
This is not the right forum to ask questions how to configure system monitoring using Solution Manager.
You should better post this in Solution Mnagaer forum
but still to start with I would recommend you to go through the following link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm40/helpdata/EN/5b/0c9ccfd262427685c245d7ea85cd7a/content.htm
This will help you configure system monitoring using Solution manager,it does cover all the points that you want
Also there are many blogs available in the Solution manager forum, when you go to the Solution Mnagaer forum, you will find the first thread for blogs, there you will see a lot of blogs which tell the possible configurations of Solution Manager which includes system monitoring also
Let me know of any questions

  • OEM Notification Alerts

I had created new database and while creating I asked to configure it with Grid Control.
I set up notification alerts to send alert when database/listener is down .When i shut down database or listener,I am not receiving any alerts. Please help me.
I also clicked test button in the Grid Control and it is working fine as i am gettting email i.e test mai. but not geiing database/listener down message.
    Please anybody reply.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    DBA

So under Preferences -> Notification Rules -> Listener Availability it has checked to send send email?
If so find the Listener target and look at its Metric and Policy settings (at the bottom) and ensure on the metric tab it has a Critical Threshold of Down.

  • OIM 11g - Email Notifications configured in human task is not working

    Hi,
My requirement is to send email to the assignee whenever a request is assigned to the user. I created a custom bpel workflow and configured email notiifcation in the human task for the status 'assign'. I have configured Email driver with following properties:
    Sender Addresses = <[email protected]>
    Default Sender Address = <[email protected]>
    Outgoing Mail Server = <Exchange server host>
Outgoing Mail Server Port = 25
Outgoing Mail Server Security = none
    Outgoing Default From Addr = <[email protected]>
I have also set the Notification Mode to 'Email' in Workflow Notification Properties.
However when a request is assigned to the user, email notifications are not sent.
I do not see any errors in the logs. In Enterprise Manager console I navigated to SOA Infrastructure Home > Human Workflow Engine > Notification Management and I could see outgoing email notifications corresponding to the workflow instance with the status showing 'Sent'.
Also the Exchange server that is being used has already been tested for provisioning emails from OIM and it works fine for provisioning.
Any pointers/troubleshooting tip to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

  • OEM Oracle10g Configuration

    Hi,
I installed Oracle10g successfully, OEM worked fine. Then IP of my machine changed. This IP was a part
of the server (my PC) URL and hard coded in many places in the Oracle home related to OEM.
I tried to reconfigure OEM using EMCA utility. Everything was OK until the last point where
the OEM console was starting. According to the log and trace information it failed to connect
    to HTTP server.
Here is the line from emdctl.trc repeated many times.

  • OEM notification

I have resumable timeout set to 15 mts. Wanted to get notified when ever session gets suspended due to space issue.
I have defined new notification rule in OEM 10g, In metrics section i have choosen "Session Suspended by Tablespace Limitation" and made the rule PUBLIC.
The issue is, i have generated scenario where session is suspended due to lack of space, In OEM database page i could see the Alert, but the mail
is not yet triggered. After 15 mts i got email about tablespace 100% full.
I want to get notified as soon as my session gets suspended?
