OEM packs report

I wonder if there is a way to generate report on OEM to find out which databases/servers had which license so that we can keep track with licensing for our corporate? Also, I saw the "reports" option withing OEM, what is it for?

Pack report template in jar

Hi all, I wood like to pack report template file (I mean .rpt) in jar file of my app, then get it as resource stream.
Unfortunately, in ReportClientDocument I have seen only
open(Object,int)
method.
As I understand Object mean path to file.
So, is it possible to get report use getResourceAsSream method and then open it with OpenClientDocument? If yes, in what way?

There's currently no way to ask the engine to reference reports inside of a jar file.
You can manually use Java code to stream it out from the jar to the temp folder, and point reportClientDocument to that.

Linux Bare Metal Provisioning with OEM Pack for Linux for RAC 11gGR2 OEL 5X

Hi,
Has anyone ever used the OEM Pack for Linux to provision Bare Metal Linux servers?

We are thinking of using this tool to provision our Linux Servers, because we are UL-Customers with OEL, and this Tool is free of Charge for UL- Premier and Basic Limited Customers.
I have only found Documentation which seem to suggest that the OEM Linux Pack is supported with OEM Grid Control 10.2.0.4 and Oracle 10G ,
but i am not sure if this Pack is supported for use with OEM Grid Control 10.2.0.5 and Oracle RAC 11gR2.
I would appreciate your Help on this.

I believe you need to add a few patchsets to get full provisioning support for Database 11gR2. There is a My Oracle Support article that lists all the recommended patches for Grid Control.

Need Advise on OEM Packs and Order of Installation

Oracle VM(OVM) machine on OEL base server.
Our goal is to establish OEM monitoring of our servers which are OEL or HP/UX.
However, from the documentation, I'm having a problem understanding what is needed and in what order. The following is what we are struggling with:
1) System Monitoring Plug-in for Linux Hosts

Also, it appears that the Oracle Provisioning and Patch Automation Pack for Oracle Database, patches OS linux, also.
2) But this one (Oracle Management Pack for Linux) also seems to cover this area.

The OEM Management Packs are installed by default. By enabling and accepting the license agreement for each of the packs you commit yourself.
Same goes for the Managment Pack for Linux and the Oracle VM Management Pack.
For the VM Management Pakc you need to install an update btw.

Latest Front-End Support pack - Report Designer

Hi,
We are having some formating related issues in Report Designer in some of the Finance reports. I believe this is because of missing latest Support Packs or Patches front end.... for example, in report designer we unable to see the settings in the property window (on left) to display column headings on each page.
We are on front-end pack: BI Add-on 7.10, Support Pack 5, Revision 529.
Back-end: Support Pack 16.
Is this the latest one (for Front-end)?
If not, can you please let me know what is the latest support pack/patches available?

In general, the frontend patches are released at the same time as backend patches...
Therefore,usually
FEP9 is released with SPS9.
FEP10 is released with SPS10.
FEP11 is released with SPS11
FEP16 is released with SPS16

OEM 12c Report Database Growth Trends

Shows DB size for all databases
Total size and total free
• Able to do this month by month in OEM 12c by whatever group we define via Information Publisher "canned reports"
However, I need some help because OEM 12c does not provide this requested information:
• Other than manually going to each database one by one (we have hundreds) Do any of you have any ideas or scripts that would provide the following:
(Dumping the data out of OEM month by month via csv and trying to compare using excel is not working because we are adding and removing databases monthly and we have hundreds)
- In one report show Jan, Feb, March, etc database size, used, free, %used by each database
- Compare growth between months
- Show Top 25 databases that have grown
- Show Top 25 Trending growth

You can query the OMS Repository directly, I used to run a report quite a long time back, using the SQL below to do similar thing:
SELECT target_name Database, key_value TB, round(max(maximum),0) maximum
FROM mgmt$metric_daily
WHERE target_type = 'rac_database'
and metric_name = 'tbspAllocation' and metric_column = 'spaceUsed'
and trunc(rollup_timestamp, 'MONTH') = '01-JUL-08'
and target_name in ('<DB_NAME>')
GROUP BY target_name, key_value, trunc(rollup_timestamp, 'MONTH')
ORDER BY Database, TB;
This was query a 11g OMS, so the tables and columns may of changed.

How to reset password of windows 8.1 single language OEM pack

Hi,
My new HP laptop (model : 15-r036tu) as windows 8.1 single language preinstalled in it .
My brother has tried to login but now it is not taking original password which I have set.
Is there way to remove password of admin account.
If re installation is the only way then please give answer for below question.
Questions:
where can I download Windows 8.1 single language OEM software.
where is activation key stored is it embedded in BIOS/UEFI or any system reserved partion (is there any problem if recreate the partion )

If we have only one admin account available, I am afraid there is no means to reset the password other than reinstalling Windows. See this article as a reference:

Besides, we may try to create the Windows 8.1 install media with the following article:

And please note, if we do a clean install, we need to activate Windows again.
If Windows 8 came preinstalled on your computer, your product key should be on a sticker on your computer or with your documentation. Or we may contact the manufacturer for further help.

Upgrade from Win 7 Pro 32bit pre embeded OEM pack to Win 7 Pro 64bit

I have recently purchased 15 Dell OptiPlex Desktops with pre installed Windows 7 Pro 32bit Operating System.
Now, i wish to upgrade it to Windows 7 Pro 64bit but not able to do so as i do not have the product key. As I understand the key for 32bit & 64bit is same but the problem is that I cannot locate my current pre embedded OEM license key as it is been embedded
in to the motherboard as informed to me by OEM (Dell).
Please suggest a solution as on how can I upgrade my current 32bit OS to 64bit in this scenario.

Returnable Packing report in MM

Dear SD Experts,
I am not a MM Consultant, so please help me. Here is my requirment.
I sale Gas such as Oxygen in cylinders. I sale oxygen to a Customers in 5 cylinders. Each cylinder has unique number.
Now when I post goods issue I mention the Oxygen Gas quantity and as well as Cylinders quantity.
Means
Oxygen M:aterial No:- OXY10001 - 500 Kg.
Cylinders material No:- CY1003 ( Each cylinder has unique Numer say 1312, 1313,1314,1315,1316).
My requirement is is there any standard report in SAP MM which gives me output as the list of all the customers which had been sent this cylinder 1312 in past. or Cylinder 1312 is with which cutomer.
Also when a Post goods issue is done is there any field where we enter cyclinder numbers 1312, 1313,1314,1315,1316.
Hope I have cleared my requirement.

Or if standard report is not there is there any field where we can mention the cylinder serial numbers for particular sales order or Post Goods Issue.

For the performance tuning, How can i read the Statspack Report ?
Please Note- I can't use the Oracle AWR feature due to License Limitation. As well as if i will generate AWR report with Oracle Standard Edition, it will be not proper and print error " DB time is zero for any interval Report.

In oracle 11g you will be finding the spcreate.sql script in the same directory as hemant said just run that script
@@$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/spcreate.sql
And follow the normal procedure which you do for creating the statspack report using the perfstat user

Report server facing problem

I have installed Oracle 9iAs (infrastructure & business intelligence) along with developer kit. To my problem , I am finding when starting services trough OEM. Report service is not getting starting up. Engine status is as Unavailable and server trace reports as

And if so, are other OEM packs required (i.e. MS SQL Server system monitoring plug-in)?

I try to resolve this problem ( sqlserver masking) but I can't found the OBE mentioned.
You or anyone have examples about masking MS SQLServer, because in the Oracle documentation suggest that is possible but not "how do it", except the use of heterogeneous services.

Where can i get statspack report

Hi,
My database environment is very big,where i dont have permisson to perfstat user or even to view perfstat tables.Senior DBA runs stats pack report and will pass it to me.This time he sent in very bad format,so i am not able to read and analyze it.Now i want to get stats pack and analyze for very serious performance issue.If you go into file level where statspack report will be stored by default.If i get access to perfstat table,in which table i can see all sql related reports.DBA has to send it again or any other way to look on it.

If you have password for sys or system then you don't need password for perfstat user.
To generate new statspack report execute spreport script (from sqlplus).
@?/rdbms/admin/spreport
