OEM stopped asking for a password.

when i open the stand alone Enterprise Manager and then the DB , it logon automatically choosing a particular user., it stopped asking for connection and stoped asking for a user name and a password.
Any advice.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, this will occur if you have the checkbox selected to remember the login info as the Preferred Credentials when you log in. You can delete the Preferred Credentials, then you will have to log in manually each time. You will have to check to see if you are relying on the Preferred Credentials for any jobs you may have submitted.

  • How do i get itunes to stop asking for my password repeatedly?

how do i get itunes to stop asking for my password repeatedly?

The solution (for me at least) is to keep trying the same password  that I know is correct.  For me, the fourth try of typing in the exact same password works in iTunes on my iMac.  I have repeated this several times, and each time it works.
I also reset my password, but the same problem occurs in iTunes.  I have to type in my password four times in iTunes to get it to work.
iTunes is having issues.  I can log in easily on the first attempt every time to post on this message board and I can sign in easily on my iPad 2 to get app updates, but in iTunes on my iMac it takes four attempts and then it works.
Apple needs to release a statement to the public telling people abut this.  For Apple to know that this iTunes problem exists and that it is causing literally thousands of people to be stressed out is callous and uncaring.

  • How to make Outlook stop asking for a password when you no longer have a valid password?

Many people have asked how to get Outlook to stop prompting for a password, but the answers given are for people who have a valid password. My question is different. You've graduated from school or left your job. You no longer have access to an Exchange
server. Within Outlook, you have an historical archive of your emails messages and you need to keep them. You can't send email because you no longer have access to that Exchange server, but you have a local cache of the address book in Outlook, which is valuable
to you and you want to continue to be able to use.
How do you keep the account in Outlook but have it stop prompting you for a password in this specific case? Remember, you never will have a valid password to this Exchange server again.

Well you can manually recover your lost PST password with the command Pst19upg.exe -i filename.psx then press enter. After using this
command your pst files will be free from password and you can easily again use your outlook files. You can also recover pst password with the assist of pst password recovery tool.

  • How to get mac to stop asking for keychain password

I recently reset my keychain password but did not create a new one. Every time I open any application, like Safari for example, I am asked to enter my keychain password. I don't have one so I hit cancel. The box disappears, but 2.5 seconds later it reappears! I then have to keep clicking cancel as the box continues to reappear. Please somebody help! It's really annoying. iOS 10.9.5

  • Suddenly stopped asking for master password, cannot connect to servers.

I didn't make any changes to Windows or Thunderbird that I'm aware of, but it just completely stopped working. I have/had it configured with a master password, it always asked before contacting the mail servers. Now it goes straight to the inbox, lets me view my old messages with no password, and refuses to connect to any of 3 accounts.
    Windows 8.1
    Thunderbird 31.5.0
*Edit: Never mind, I tried using the Wifi through my phone, and even with one bar it's better than the landline. I guess the connection was so bad it wasn't even starting. Works on other network.

FYI: The master password only limits access to your saved passwords. It is not designed to and will not keep anyone from getting to emails already downloaded to your computer. That is not what is is for.

  • It won't stop asking for my password on start-up!

I turned it on a while ago but now I can't turn it off and it's rather annoying. I know you go into System Preferences then Security and it should just be a case of unchecking the box next to it, but for some reason whenever I restart it still asks. What's more, I'll go back into System Preferences and it's STILL unchecked!
After turning it off I always lock the pane but times I come back and it's unlocked. Does anyone know what's going on? Is one of my preference files messed up and, if so, which one do I have to delete to fix it?

Defining it would help. Check System Preferences->Account->click on the lock, enter your password, click on Login Options, and select automatically log in as->user.

  • My iPad has stopped asking for my apple I'd password when downloading apps.  I want it to ask for password because my kids keep downloading apps without asking.  How do I rectify this?

My apple I'd has stopped asking for my password when downloading apps to my iPad.  I want it to ask every time.  I edited it unknowingly and I need to change it back.  Please help! Thx

Assuming that you've got the relevant iOS version on the iPad, then you can change it from a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered to immediately via Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password

  • How to Get Safari to STOP asking for Password

Whenever I start up Safari for the first time, it annoyingly asks for a password, and I've dismissed this prompt without typing in any passwords, and I've been able to continue doing what I'm doing. But how do I get Safari to stop asking for a password? I've read similar posts but nothing has been asked in exactly this way, as far as I can tell. What I've done:
    - Gone into Keychain Access and deleted the only Safari-related item I find there, called "Safari Forms Autofill." This works temporarily but the password prompt comes back again, and this item appears again in Keychain Access.
    - Gone into Safari Prefs Autofill and made sure Passwords was unchecked; it was.
    Any ideas?

Aha, I've answered my own question: You have to uncheck the "Other Forms" option in Safari Auto-Fill Prefs as well. Ho ho ho all.

  • Ical wont stop asking for password

    hey guys,
my iCal will not stop asking for my password and it is driving me nuts, it means i cant use the iCal at all which is very annoying as before it started tripping out i relied heavily upon it.
is there a fix that anyone knows of out there to stop it asking for the password?
    thanks guys

Finder > Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access
Unlock the lock if you have to.
    Click Login in the sidebar.
Click "Edit" in the Keychain Access menu bar.
Select "Change Settings for Keychain "login" from the dropdown.
Uncheck the boxes next to "Lock after" and "Lock when sleeping"
    Click "Save".
    Quit Keychain Access.
    Hope this helps.

  • My MacBook Pro keeps asking for my password. How do I stop that? Thanks

How can I make my MacBook Pro stop asking for my password every time I go in and out of the internet?  Thanks

You need to enter the passwords for your wifi router/modem. Ask the person who set up your new modem.
SInce you changed syncing computer you have to do this too if you have not done so already:

  • Kcsync asking for a password you don't know? Here's a solution

If you get a persistent request for a password when syncing your keychains here's the fix.
    open Terminal
copy this string at the prompt and hit enter:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/SecurityFoundation.framework/Versions/A/kcSync.app/Co ntents/MacOS/kcsync -reset
Make sure it is exactly as it appears here.
you will then get a response somewhat like:
    dotmacfx[6621:903] removing /Library/Keychains/.syncinfo/login.keychain.syncinfo.plist was successful.
    Quit Terminal
kcsync should then stop asking for a password every time you sync your keychains

Yes, it's the password for your Apple iD.
If you can't remember the password, open iTunes on your computer.
From the iTunes menu bar click Store > Sign In > Forgot?

  • IPhone Continually Asking For iCloud Password

I've recently updated to iOS 8.1 on iPhone 5s.  Since then it asks for my iCloud password every time I unlock the phone.
I have entered the password for my account in the settings area for iCloud and it has verified there.  But still asks me.
I have keychain access turned on on the iPhone in settings.  When I turned this off it stopped asking for the password.
    Why is this?

This is not fixed by turning off keychain.
iphone still continuously prompts for password for my iCloud account.

An Apple pop up keeps coming up anytime I try and use my phone and it has an old Apple ID and it is asking for the password. How do I get it to stop?

That means there is content on your phone...music and or apps...originally obtained using his Apple ID. Such content is forever tied to the account used to originally obtain it and cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. Your only choice is to identify and delete this content.

  • I always have trouble with my mailbox. It is always asking for my passwords but everything has been verified. How can I get it to stop doing it and start working????

I always have trouble with my mailbox. It is always asking for my passwords but everything has been verified. How can I get it to stop doing it and start working????

There is only one thing that happens -- the Server does not respond.
Your mac concludes that you must have entered the wrong password. That may happen once, but then other issues become more likely, and it keeps asking for a new password.
Sometimes the Server is down for maintenance. Sometimes something is configured wrong. Some services do this on purpose to get you to use WebMail (pick up your Mail with your Browser) so they can show you some ads.

  • What do I do to stop my emails always asking for the password?

I have just had my iPhone5 replaced with a new one, and after getting synched with iCloud my email addresses are asking for the password.  have never had a password on emails...how do I stop this occuring?  many thx

Yes, but for that you'll need a cellular modem and a data plan to go with it. Or you may be able to use a cellular phone in tethered mode. I have no experience with either method, so I'll leave the explaining to someone who knows about them. Or if you already have a cell phone and plan, consult your phone service provider.
