OEM V2.2/will not discover database

Hello,
I am using oracle 8i database in windows nt environment. When in OEM, the discovery services will see the node that database is loaded and running on, but will not discover the database. I can manually configure the database, but the config is using the wrong instance (orcl) instead of webar. I have checked tnsnames.ora, sql.net, listener.ora and can find nothing wrong. I can connect to the database no problem. OEM is the only software that has a problem. Is there a configuration file for the Intelligent Agent? Am I missing something else?
Thanks for the help.
Sue Misslbeck

I am not getting any error at all. It will discover the node (ora1) where the database resides, however, it will not show a database folder for this node.
Should I be getting an error message?
Thanks.
Sue

My iPad will not discover any blue tooth devices. The Bluetooth is turned on but it will only discover a Blackberry phone and not my other iPad or 5s and 4s or a QED receiver.

To connect the devices over bluetooth, just enable Bluetooth in Settings app on both devices.
Bluetooth is activated automatically when Wi-Fi connectivity is not available or does not work properly.
Note: Initial Bluetooth connection takes around 15 seconds to activate.
This is the directions for the app.  And all the reviews seem to just go right on through!  I have a love hate relationship with my apples!!

  • 4S iPhone will not discover WiFi network

My phone will not discover a WiFi network

Wow, same problem here after I upgraded to iOS6. My bluetooth and wifi both stopped working completely.  I called tech support who told me i wasn't covered and acted like they had never heard of this happening and tried to sell me a $100 dollar warranty to get it fixed.  I found these discussion forums and saw how many people were having the same problem and called tech support back to tell them I didn't appreciate the guy acting like he had never heard of this.
Turns out, I am completely covered under Apple care and she set me up with an appointment to get a new phone tomorrow, no charge.  Now I see all these people who got replacements and are still having the same problem.  Just when I thought I had everything fixed.  Guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

Bought the Iphone 6   2 days ago. My mac pro finds the phone on bluetooth but phone will not discover ANY bluetooth divices. Have hard reset the phone and restarted as well. nothing. Any suggestions or issues. This is the first apple phone I have owned. Am not very happy that Bluetooth would present a problem.

I can't help with the other devices but note that an iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-7722
If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other. The following may help with Handoff/Continuity issues: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5458

  • OEM10g will not discover 9iRAC - Fix included.

Because the change in cluster software from 10g to 9i, oem will not find 9i rac databases. It will discover the database, but it will mark it as an Instance on each machine rather than marking it as a cluster db and finding the instances as well.
You must manually edit your targets.xml file for the 3 pieces it needs cluster, cluster database, and cluster instance.
(remove the target host line and database that it found)

  • Oem auto discovery does not discover

Hello, DBAers; RHEL 5 x64, Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3 - trying to discover an unmanaged host using auto discovery and following the instructions spelled out here
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/discovery.htm#EMADM13119
and the auto discovery is not discovering.
I can "ssh <usrname>@<hostname>" and connect to the unmanaged target from the machine running the management server and ping the target server from same, so it does not appear to be a firewall issue.  But OEM cannot see it through auto-discovery.  Do any of you have any thoughts?
    Humbly,

To be able to run auto-discovery,
the Sudo Privilege Delegation must be set on the Management Agent host that will perform the scan. The named credential that will be used must be configured to run as root.
Because it used nmap (port scanner). Have you checked that sudo privilege delegation is set?

All below start fine without any errors:

  • OEM-Node found but not the database

I have OEM installed on the local machine (NT) that is connected to 2 remote database servers (solaris). Each database server has a database sit on it (8.1.6). Although OEM was able to find both remote servers, only one database was registered with OEM. Could someone provide me with some solutions about how to have both databases registered with OEM?
    Thanks.
    Morris

    Hi,
check if the Agent is started on the remote machine that You don't see in the console.
Try to start the remot agent after the DB startup and the refresh the node via the console.
If not, register the DB manually.

Don't bother with imanog's suggestion if you have a top-loading washer.
Jeez, it's like Apple doesn't even care about anyone who uses a washing machine more than two years old.
Just because you use front-loaders doesn't mean everyone does.  It's like they're deliberately trying to spite a large number of users, just because our machines aren't the newest and most efficient!
And before you ask, don't even get me started on the dirty dishes piling up in my sink.  Come on, Apple!!

It might take quite some time before all the disocveries kick in and start finding the actual objects to monitor...
You should try to see if you are able to query WSman from the Windows box just like OpsMgr will do, for example by checking what the SCX_OperatingSystem class returns with a command like the following one (don't copy/paste it but rather TYPE it - sometimes
HTML encoding and fonts mess it up):
    winrm enumerate
    http://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wscim/1/cim-schema/2/SCX_OperatingSystem?__cimnamespace=root/scx -username:yourusername -password:yourpassword -r:https://www.muscetta.com:1270/wsman -auth:basic  -skipCACheck -encoding:UTF-8

    Hello,
Does your Resource Capacity job (Reporting (Resources Capacity Range Sync)) still run successfully each day? What settings do you have set on this? This is set on the Additional Server Settings in the Resource Capacity Settings section (PWA Server
Setting > Additional Server Settings). How many months ahead and month behind have you got set?
If the job is not running, change the scheduled time for the job by 5 minutes or so on the Additional Server Settings page then wait for that time to pass and check the queue for the successful job. Once the job is successful that view should contain data
for the time range set (months behind / ahead).
