OEM2.1 or OEM2.2

Hi,
I have problem with Oracle Enterprise Manager Configuration.
I installed Oracle8.1.6 Database Server and then Oracle Enterprise Manager 2.1. During installation I created the repository. But when I try to start console, I get the the error for OracleManagenemetServer service is not running.
Now what to do.
Thanks and regards,
Muhammad Faisal Wasim

Sorry this forum is for ORacle Repository 6i and not OEM. I will make this clearer in the forum header.
I would suggest Oracle support for this type of question

  • OEM2 bit has been set  (CP 2140)

    I get the following message "OEM2 bit has been set" output to the console of a Sparc CP2140 single board computer when it is trying to boot from power up. (It never boots all the way just outputs the message continuously)
    I suspect, that this may be due to an overtemp (70c) but I cant find in any of the documentation that really describes what this error means. There is an IPMI reference to it, but that's all.
    Pushing the hardware reset button, does not clear the problem either.
    Can it be corrected? Or is the board toast from being overheated?
    Thanks for any help
    -Scott

    I think that's probably used for manufactures "burn-in" tests. As suggested, I think you need to change a setting in your eeprom, set-defaults may work - but will also clear other settings you may want. On my workstation (Ultra5) the specific setting is "setenv mfg-mode off", yours may be similar.

  • Poor fps rates in tera online and dell pc checkup graphics test

    I am trying to play a online game called tera online but poor fps is making it impossible the game support techs say my comp should have no problem with it I have a diagnostic report from them (I don't know what ip addresses might put me at risk so I removed
    them all) they do mention some data lose could that be the problem? also I get poor fps from the dell pc checkup graphics test but it says pass(also included)

    It is the Intel onboard GPU that is letting you down. Most games require a graphics device with some grunt. With a desktop computer you can usually add/upgrade your graphics card but this could be a problem for a laptop.
    To increase fps you should try changing the graphics options ingame to use the lowest resolution possible and set all graphics options to their lowest levels.
    Minimum system requirements for a game (or any program) are those which just allow the game to run.
    Recommended system requirements on the other hand are those which allow the game to run as it was intended.
    The recommended minimum for a gpu is either an nVidia 8800GT or an AMD Radeon HD 3870
    Below are the results of your system specs plugged into this page :

    (You need to create an account and login to be able to change the monitor resolution)

    Mac OS X now uses the clang compiler, and it is possible the package has not been ported to work with the pickier clang compiler.
    If your system has gcc, you could maybe try hacking the Makefile to use gcc instead of cc (or maybe export CC=gcc, again assuming you have an older copy of gcc on your system).  You might also try specifying some CFLAGS to disable some compiler checks.  It is possible you will need to modify the sources to fix obnoxious coding violations that both clang and gcc will not ignore.
    Or you might check if one of the Mac OS X package managers have already ported the package:  http://MacPorts.org, http://brew.sh, http://www.finkproject.org

  • How can I import my class or package in JSP?

    Hello.
    I develop jsp. When I assign variables in jsp, everything work fine. For Example:
    connStr="jdbc:oracle:thin:@191.168.0.1:1521:orcl";
    But I want put some variables inside class or package, so using text editor I created and compiled package:
    package Pack1;
    public class Test1 extends java.lang.Object {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    String ConnStr = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@191.168.0.1:1521:orcl";
    or class
    class Test1 {
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    String connStr = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@191.168.0.1:1521:orcl";
    But as soon as I put in my jsp line
    <%@ page import="Test1" %> or <%@ page import="Pack1.*" %>
    I always have an error.
    JSP Error:

    I using OEM2.2 with Apache-Server under Win2000. I put my classes:
    Test1 in package: in folder: C:\orant\oem8i\Apache\Apache\htdocs\WEB-INF\classes\Pack1
    If just class, when just in folder: C:\orant\oem8i\Apache\Apache\htdocs\WEB-INF\classes
    If I using just class, when I put just in folder: C:\orant\oem8i\Apache\Apache\htdocs\WEB-INF\classes.
    Im stack. Anybody can help?
    Thank you.

    Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
    Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
    Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

  • All video streaming has continuous pixelation/macroblocking issues

    On youtube, dailymotion, vimeo, etc.  (all internet video streaming sites)  the video becomes pixelated and I get macroblocking.  It appears for a few seconds, then it goes away, then a few seconds later it comes back.  It does this continuously off and on.  This happened before and I couldn't find a solution so I re-installed Windows 7 and then the problem went away.  But only 3 weeks into the new re-boot and the problem has resurfaced.  I have no idea what happened or how to fix it.  Please help!!  I can give you the specs for my PC and let you know whatever else is needed to solve this problem.  My PC skills are not that advanced, but I can follow directions very well.  This problem is starting to really piss me off.  When I download a youtube video, the problem is not there when I watch it on VLC media player.  The problem is only present when I am streaming it from the internet.  This problem just "appeared".  It was not there on a clean re-install.  I  don't know how it re-surfaced again.  I've searched through other forums an I cannot find an answer anywhere!  I need to know the source of the problem and I thought it might be Adobe Flash, but I am not sure.  When the videos become pixelated, it looks like this (I took a screen shot):

    My browser is Firefox version 18.0 (it is up-to-date) and I have DownloadHelper version 4.9.13 and Adblock Plus version 2.2.1 as add-ons.  My Adobe flash player version is 11.5.502.146.  My operating system is Windows 7 Professional (64-bit).  The HTML5 video worked perfectly fine.  No problems with that one.  The Non-HTML5 video showed the same problems I keep running into.  Here is a cropped screenshot of it:
    Thank you.  I really appreciate the help.  So what is the next step???  The HTML5 video had no problems and worked perfectly fine.  I figured it would just be easier to show my entire system information (motherboard, processor, video card etc.), so here is the output from the DirectX Diagnotic Tool regarding my system information:

  • Will alter table table_name move statement change the storage parammeter

    Hi there,
    I have a question about table reorgnization. Will alter table
    table_name move SQL statment change the table's storage parameter
    or keep the same as the original one? If I want to use alter
    table statement to do table defragmentation and change the
    initial and next storage parameter, how will I write this SQL
    statement?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks. My table has 5000 extents each of which is 64k, so I
    think I need to do table defragmentation to improve performance.
    If I use alter table table_name move without storage parameter
    and tablespace name, I will relocate this table in current
    tablespace and adopt the current tablespace's storage parameter
    as my table's new storage paramater which is still 64k. After
    that, if I issue alter
    table table_name storage (initial 50M next=50M) command, will it
    change this table's storage parameter and decrease the totoal
    extents number? I ask this question because I use OEM2.2 tuning
    pack reorg wizard to generate the job script to do table
    defragmentation, but in the job script there is no new storage
    parameter. It only generate alter table table_name move
    statement, so I wonder if I don't need to modify this job scripts
    and after it executes this job script, I issue alter table
    table_name storage parameter command manaully. Will this solve
    my problem or I must modify the job script and add new storage
    parameter in the job script?

  • Lenovo Ideapad y550: shuts down when unplugged, wont start on battery. new battery did nothing.

    Hello wonderful Lenovo user's and guru's! I have recieved a Lenovo Ideapad y550 from a pawn shop. I grabbed it because I knew this was a pretty good computer. I thought I could fix any problems it has and it would be just fine. =] So this laptop shuts down instantly if I unplug the power cord. Just dies, no time to do any saving or lights to blink. Just instant shutdown. Also when I try to power it on when its unplugged from the AC, it does nothing. Also shuts off in the middle of playing guild wars 2. No other games shut off on me. When I realized I had this problem, I ordered a new battery for my model of laptop. The new battery is doing the exact same thing as the other battery that was in it. It seems the computer has a fresh install of windows except with a .old folder in the C drive. So I am guessing someone did some sort of reformat or recover? the recovery was done through the Pawn Shop. It seems that it has windows 7 64 bit.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Pricing Help - Need Complex Scenario Approach

    Hello All,
    Need your advice on the following scenario using seeded function as much as possible
    We have three basis on which we can price our customer - Kind of 3 price lists - OEM Price list, Resale price list, Customer Special rate price list and an item can be on all three lists.
    Based on the contract with customer value can be picked from either one - like
    Customer 1 + Ship From 1 + OEM1 (Item Attribute) = OEM Price - 5%
    Customer 1 + Ship From 2 + OEM2 (Item Attribute) = Resale Price + 10%
    So say 3 parts in SO, each have different price basis (price list) based on customer contract.
    The challenge is users DO NOT want to select 'SO Line Price List'. They would not know which 'Line Pricelist' to select for the item. They want price to auto populate due to high number of lines.
    1. Is there a way, that during SO creation, can the price list be auto selected based on modifier/certain conditions ?
    2. Any other way, price can be arrived at, if not using 3 price list?
    3. Can we have a 4th price list, with custom pricing attribute, which sources price from either of the 3 price lists?
    Any pointers would be of great help.
    Thanks & regards,
    Bhaskar

    Thanks for the options...
    The issue is that Business wants to store the 'Customer Contract' details somewhere - and is trying to use pricing to do that. In effect there are many possible prices, but based on the qualifing conditions, select the right amt.
    In oracle, first price list needs to be selected in line, and then modifiers are applied. Here they want first all qualifiers to run, and then select appoprate price list.
    Can we select a price list at run time based on some logic ?
    Thanks & regards
    Bhaskar

  • PS Touch crashes on load on eos ROM nightly build

    Running Android 4.2.2 on an Asus Transformer.
    Ive tried rebooting the tablet, clearing the cache and reinstalling the app.

    My symptoms were that after displaying the blue "Photoshop Touch" screen for a few seconds, the application would close and I would be returned to the desktop.  There was no "application has crashed" popup.
    I've had this ROM on my Infinity since the day I bought it.  It does have some DroidSans font files, just no files with the specific names "DroidSans.ttf" or "DroidSans-Bold.ttf".  I double checked the original flashable .zip and they are not present there either.

    I noticed that the file path is wrong since Windows in general do not use the "/" with file and directory paths.
    However, I still can do export using the same OEM to Oracle8i Servers who are installed on WindowsNT4.0.
    Any help please, I tried a lot and nothing worked with me

  • OMS Question

    I have a very weird question and hope somebody answers that:
    I have Oracle 11g RAC installed and running on two nodes. oem1 and oem2 with one database called PROD. I want to install Oracle 10.2.0.5 Grid control onto this RAC and use PROD database as my OMR. But the question what i have is, how will the OMS be handled? Is OMS a cluster-aware application? say if my one node fails, how will OMS part be handled? I know RAC databsae should be fine - but doesnt have an clue about OMS. can somebody shed some light on this?
    Many thanks,

    YES
    check if it is done by Installing Additional Management Service with oracle.sysman.top.oms.

  • Othe Oracle products on Linux

    When will OEM2.1 be available for Linux? I know most of it is Java, so, theorhetically, it should run, but I'm more concerned about the management server. Has anyone gotten it to work?
    Also, did I miss the announcement for Developer 6i on Linux? If I didn't, is there any version on Linux? I know it has been in the works for awhile now.
    Good work on 8iR2. I've heard a lot of good things. Going to try it myself this weekend.
    Peace

    my regrets for the error in the above message .... pls read as follows:
    "it IS recommended to install various products, like OID or IAS, on different machines " ....
