OEMCTL Solaris version 9.0.2.0.0 Production Upgrade

I have upgraded my 9iAS to R, configured OEMS, OEMS is running, the intelligent agent is running but when I try log onto the Oracle Enterprise Manager Console - Management Server I get the following message:
Unable to connect to the management server genportal01. The management server version 9.0.2.0.0 Production is incompatible with this client 9.2.0.1.0 Production.
I have searched for the upgrade but unable to find. I need a fix or the upgrade location.

Gianaki,
I wish portal upgrades are as simple as you mentioned in your posting!
In the URL that you gave, it is clearly mentioned that the Portal transport sets work only with in the same version with the right patchsets.
Notes:
Export and import functions only within the same release of OracleAS Portal and the same patch release, for example, release 9.0.4.0 to release 9.0.4.0 or release 10.1.2 to release 10.1.2. You cannot export and import between two different releases, such as release 9.0.4 to release 10.1.2 or release 9.0.4.0 to release 9.0.4.1.
For successful migration of objects, the version of the portal repository should be the same in the target and the source. Any difference in the versions of the middle tiers does not impact migration.

  • What is the cpu architeture of solaris version of BPEL bundle, x86 or SPARC

    Hello,
I'd like to know what is the cpu architeture of solaris version of BPEL bundle, x86 or SPARC located here: http://download.oracle.com/otn/solaris/ias/1012/as_sun_bpel_101200.cpio
The file is more than 400Mb in size, so I need to know before downloading.
    Thanks.

    hi,
are there any plans to release it for x86 (32 bit) platform. I'm also interested in testing beta versions of oracle software (specifically bpel, jdeveloper) on solaris 10 x86 platform, is there any beta CD available for these purposes?
    thanks.

  • Several Solaris Versions(2.6,7,8) on the same disk. Possible ?

    Hello folks!
I hope someone will be able to help me here. I've been after this problem
    for weeks now!
    Here it is:
for testing purposes I need to install Solaris 2.6, 7, and 8 on the same
    machine (Ultra 2 enterprise).
I started with the installation of 2.6 with the following partitions
    configuration:
    - c0t0d0s0 root for Solaris 2.6
    - c0t0d0s5 root for Solaris 7
    - c0t0d0s6 root for Solaris 8
    - c0t0d0s7 /home for all Solaris versions
The installation of 2.6 went fine and the system runs without problems.
However when I did the installations of the other two versions (7 and 8), I
configured manually the file system during installation and, of course, I
chose to preserve the existing installations. I also chose not to change the
    default boot partition(c0t0d0s0).
The installation didn'T show any problem, but at the OpenBoot (OK prompt),
    only the
    OK boot disk
works. I assumed I had to boot partition 5 and 6 doing:
    OK boot disk5
    or
    OK boot disk6
but it doesn't work. I assume there is some other setting I skipped, or some
    wrong configuration.
    Thanks a lot,
    Pietro
PS Only the first partition c0t0d0s0 starts within the first Giga Byte. This
    might be the problem ?

    Hi ,
First check if the other OS are properly installed in the other partition. You can boot the system in 2.6 and mount the other partitions and see the directory structure. It is also good to use the same swap space for all the other OS.
At the OBP, disk0 or disk5 are the alias name for the device names. Each of the partition has a device name. At the OBP the device name for the disk can be obtained from the command:
    ok>show-disks
    or
    ok>show-devs
On an Ultra 2 it would look something like this:
    /sbus@1f,0/SUNW,fas@e,8800000/sd@0,0
The partitions are represented as alphabets, where "a" would represent partition 0, "b" for partition 1
so for the disk0 or the first disk and partition 4 would be:
    /sbus@1f,0/SUNW,fas@e,8800000/sd@0,0:e
and partition 5 on disk1 or 2nd disk as:
    /sbus@1f,0/SUNW,fas@e,8800000/sd@1,0:f
The device name can also be found by bootiing is Solaris 2.6 and using the command "format"
If you want to give alias name for the different partitions at the OBP so that you do not have to write the whole path of the device again, you can use the command "nvalias" at OBP
    ok> nvalias <alias name> <the device path>
    eg.
    ok> nvalias sol8 /sbus@1f,0/SUNW,fas@e,8800000/sd@0,0:g
Please refer to http://docs.sun.com for more details on these commands
    I hope that would help.
    Regards
    Anshul

  • Y2k10 problem in older Solaris versions?

    Hi,
Looks like the Solaris versions prior to the version 2.6 (SunOS 5.6)
have a problem of year 2010.
They just don't boot in a single user mode from the installation cd,
hanging after detection of serial ports (zs1 is /obio/zs@0,0), when
    /devices directory should be configured.
At least the version 2.5.1 hangs in the emulator when the system date
is > 2009.12.20. Can anyone confirm or disprove this on a real
    hardware?

Around the version 8 timeframe a feature was added to maintain the state of the form when it was saved. Before that time it was up to the Developer of the form to write code into the form to maintain the state of the form when it was opened. I believe that this is what you ar experiencing (but it is hard to tell without seeing the form in action).

  • Solaris Version Recommendations for WebLogic 6.0?

    Hi,
I guess that the larger part of you is using WebLogic on the Solaris
platform. I am currently planning a migration from WinNT to Solaris and
I would like to know if there are certain pros and cons for using
WebLogic 6.0 on either Solaris 2.6, 2.7 or on Solaris 8. From the
windows world it's quite a good assumption to go for 'newer is better /
more stable' but I'm not sure if I can transfer this to the Solaris
    world as well.
    Thanks for your input!

I'm partial to Solaris 8 because of its improved VM File I/O caching
algorithm. However, all three have good diagnostic and tuningabilities
and would work well with WebLogic.

  • Migrating the Solaris version

    Hi,
We have Solaris 9 with the Sun cluster 3.2 and the Netbackup application is 5.1 MP4, now we are planned to upgrade the Solaris version form 9 to Solaris 10.
Could you please provide me an Idea How to upgrade this?

Maybe you should clarify what you mean by "upgrade wothout affecting cluster"?
In your cited thread I was assuming you mean "upgrading a SC _3.0_ configuration from Solaris 8 to Solaris 9 without changing the Sun Cluster software", since you said "touching" - which is not possible, since Sun Cluster uses different kernel drivers for S8 and S9, which means you need to perform a Sun Cluster package upgrade as well.
This thread here is about Sun Cluster _3.2_, which introduced the feature of dual partition upgrade.
Note that also in this case the Sun Cluster packages get exchanged, so you are again "touching" them. The only difference here - you can perform upgrade of one half while the other is still providing the service.

  • OLite502 Solaris version Can't be download

OLite502 Solaris version Can't be download. Please have a look at it.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Since the upgrade to CC 2014 via Creative Cloud, I'm ending up with both version of all my Adobe CC products, and I lost my plugins in Photoshop CC 2014.
How can I fix this ?

I did it by going to my old Photoshop CC Plugins folder and copying it aand then pasteing it in the Phtoshop CC 2014 folder. All mine came back and worked.

I am using Mac OS X 10.6.8, and I need to download Adobe Digital Editions. Is there any way to download an earlier version so I don't have to upgrade my system?

    OT,
I have the exact same question as heathy32 (I just want to get a photobook ordered, but I'm currently running iPhoto 7.1.5 with OS X 10.6.8 and discovered right at the end of the process of making this photobook that it's no longer supported with the versions I have) but I just wanted to check something with you before I proceed with the iLife 11 disk...
Namely: do I need download the iPhoto Library Upgrader first?
There seem to be issues discussed in other forums about the Upgrader, I want to make sure I don't do something like downloading it if that isn't strictly necessary.
I am perfectly happy just to install iPhoto 9 and upgrade to 9.2.3 using the updater you link to, just so long as I can get a photo book printed!
Once that is safely out of the way, I intend to upgrade to Maverick etc.
    Your thoughts very welcome
    Thank you.

Is your Apple Intel-based, poppelmacbook?  If not, you should consider treating yourself to a new Mac. Last December I gave up my old because it just could not update...anything because it was not Intel-based.  Updating everything on this OS to 10.9 has been confusing for me, but I just could not work with that old Mac because the updates were too smart? for my 10.6.  It is upstairs now...for visiting family:  games, garage band, etc.--things I never did use.  Apple refurbished and purchase the extended warranty.  Apple loyalist since late 1980's.

  • .Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production) report server.

    hi
i have a question about Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production) so many users are facing the problem in report server and even i faced the problem,
i started the report server and tried to display the report but it was giving me errors sometimes
REP-41213 unable to connect to report server and sometimes
REP-51002: Bind to Reports Server <servername> failed and so on.
but after using an ip address or MS loopback adaptor then it works perfect.
in Forms [32 Bit] Version 9.0.4.0.19 (Production) its working with machine name and we do not need ip address and also we can start report server by services.
But in Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production) its not the same and all the time we start report server by command.
Is there any solution in Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 that run report server without ip or loopback but only work with a machine name?.
    sarah

    Hi Sarah,
my reports-server works all the time, and i did not do any configuration or install any loopback-adapter. I have a reports-server name like rep_<machine> and can use that in forms also as in URL-syntax.

There is no download aside from the one in the Mac App Store available to people running Mac OS X 10.6.6 and newer. The other way of getting iPhoto 9 is to purchase iLife 11 on DVD. As iLife 11 requires Mac OS X 10.6.3 or newer, it's usually best to update to 10.6.8 for free and then use the Mac App Store version.
