OEPE Causes Eclipse Not to Prompt for Workspace

After install the OEPE 1.1.1.7, I am no longer prompted for the workspace to use on startup. The prompt for workspace setting is checked. If I uninstall the plugin, I am then prompted for the workspace. Any ideas on how to get eclipse to prompt for the workspace even if OEPE is installed. If I reinstall the plugin, I am no longer prompted for the workspace.

Before dropping 1.1.1.6 into the dropins directory, I was using the update method. Now, I do use Genuitec's Pulse to manage my eclipse installation. I would no think that would cause the difference in our findings, but who knows. I seem to remember--I apologize for not remembering clearly!--that 1.1.1.6 worked event with Pulse, yet I can not verify as I can not seem to pull a previous version from the OEPE update site.
I did see some hits in Google that seemed to suggest that the install location was being set to the default somewhere in a plugin that wasbeing loaded early in the chain. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to delve into this to debug the issue. When I get freed up a bit, perhaps I will be able to research more.

OEPE causes Eclipse Kepler to start with wrong workspace, overrides Eclipse's workspace configuration

I'm a new OEPE user, and found that after installing it, Eclipse (Kepler) now starts up with the wrong workspace every time. I have to explicitly do File > Switch Workspace... to get Eclipse to restart with the correct workspace. Also, the workspace I want to use is the only one listed in the Workspaces preferences panel (Window > Preferences > General > Startup and Shutdown > Workspaces). So I can't figure out why Eclipse is using the wrong workspace, and why it's even finding this wrong one.

OEPE should be able to work with any workspace; it has in the past! If a specific workspace is required with this release, that is a step backward in my opinion. That said, if that is the direction of the product, so be it. I find it hard to believe that is the direction of the product, however!

Thank you in advance. I am part of a project team that is testing the potential of moving from UNIX (AIX 5.3) to Linux (RHEL 4 or 5). We are running SAP R/3 on IBM P570 with DB2 v9.1 and when we run this program: Installation master sapinst
We are not getting prompted for the user password but when we run the same cd on a different system we get prompted for the user's password. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what is wrong? If you need more info let me know.

Well I have checked all the logs and there are no errors. What I have found out is that it successfully runs but there is 0 ouput, in essence it isn't exporting any data.
Here it shows that it completed successfully but in the export directory there isn't data when there should be.

Hello all
How to make dyn/admin not to prompt for username and password? I am writing a selenium job to automate cache invalidation to load test a production issue we are facing. Selenium is opening a fresh firefox session and prompting for username and password every time. I am also trying to modify my script such that it will use the same session again and not prompt for username and password. But I thought of asking this question in the group.
Your inputs will help a lot.

You can set enabled property of /atg/dynamo/servlet/adminpipeline/AuthenticationServlet/ to false. It will not prompt for authentication.

Since upgrading to iOS 6 I am not getting prompted for my password when I update apps. Why is this?

When I updated apps on my ipad2 and iphone4S I used to get prompted for my password within a certain time. So I could update a couple and then 10 minutes later if I wanted to download or update something else I would need to put in my password again. Since I upgraded to iOS6, I don't believe I am prompted for my password the same amount of times. I updated an app this am after not using iPad through the night and it just updated, no password required. This has me concerned now because sometimes I bump buttons by accident and now I will be charged for these accidents. What has happened to Apple's brilliant security?

They've changed it in iOS and updates (and updates ONLY) do not require a password since it is really unnecessary as they have it on record that you were the one who bought the app. Why is more security needed, you aren't going to be charged for anything?
Next time you update and app go to the App Store and try to buy something. You will be asked for your password.

Notes keeps prompting for password

I have a PowerMac (10.7), a MacBookPro (10.8), an iPhone (iOS 5) and a MacMini (10.6.8 Server). I have a user account Smith on the server and Mail service is activated. All my devices are configured to exchange notes through the server, using Smith account.
When I create a note on my PowerMac in Mail, the synchronization works and I can see the note on my iPhone. Sync also works on the other way.
But when I create a note on my MacBook, Notes keeps prompting me for the Smith account password every minute. And the sync does not work because I don't see my notes on my iPhone. Sync also does not work on the other way. But no problem with Mail which uses the same Smith account : I can send and receive emails (and I am not prompted for my password).
I tried to syncrhonize Notes with another mail account on my web provider and it works. I can create a note on my MacBook and see it on my iPhone.
It seems that Notes only fails to sync when I use an account on my server. This is a regression compared to Lion : Notes and OSX 10.6.8 seem incompatbile.
Any idea about the problem ? I saw that there are sync problem with Notes but nobody seems to have this password problem.

You can disable the password protection when downloading apps (Dont know where is that in settings, cos my iPad is bricked).
Technically, this is made for security, so that noone can download any unwanted app or charge any unwanted money from paid apps.

How to not be prompted for pwd when using sftp command

I want to be able to run an sftp command in a shell script without being prompted for a password, but am not having success.

From Local Computer (follow the prompts at each stage).
1. Login to the localcomputer as required user and generate a pair of authentication keys using keygen
ssh-keygen -t rsa
2. Login to the remotecomputer as required user and create the .ssh directory
ssh -l remoteuser remotecomputer mkdir -p .ssh
3. Copy the Local user public key to Remote User .ssh directory into authorized_keys file. And, type the password again for the last time
cat .ssh/id_rsa.pub | ssh -l remoteuser remotecomputer 'cat >> .ssh/authorized_keys'
4. Connect to the remotecomputer using ssh, sftp or scp . For ssh e.g.
ssh -l remoteuser remotecomputer
This might work, but you need to check it up to correct any mistakes I make with the commands because I am just typing it without testing

Not getting prompt for 2nd layer when writing DLT

I am using DVDSP3. Trying to write a dual layer DVD-9. When I attempt to format it goes through the motions and writes both layers onto 1 tape. IFrom what I have read I am supposed to be prompted for the second tape. I have double checked my settings and they are all correct. I have marked for dual layer, one side, I let DVDSP set my breakpoint, 12 cm, OTP.
I have searched the forum and found that the question was posed before and a couple of people alluded to the fact that there was a fix for this but they couldn't remember. Does anyone know anything about this?

Resolution- Either I just need a couple of days off or the drive was just being cranky but it is working now. I don't know if I turned things on in the wrong order before or what exactly made it work correctly but as we speak I am writing tape #2. So if anyone has this problem in the future make sure your tape is in securely and try powering everything back down and up. That's all I did.

Prompts for Workspace Financial Report

i am trying to open reports in workspace with prompts on it. I have security applied on the Entity dimension for different users.
However when we try to open the reports, the prompt allows us to select any member of the entity irrespective of the applied security. I need users to have an option of selecting only those entities for which they are entitled to.

Hi Sam,
We also have the same security structure where security is applied at different entity levels.
As per this security structure workspace will allow you to select any entity from entity dimension in POV while running the report but it will never show data against that entity if user don't have access to it. But it is not possible to restrict user to select entity through workspace for which he don't have access.

ITunes movies will not play-- prompt for me to authorize the computer

I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8, iTunes 10.6.3, and, if it matters, QuickTime 7.5.5.
My purchased songs work perfectly well.
When I try to play any purchased video content, I get an error message that this computer is not authorized to play this purchase. I'm then prompted to sign in with my Apple ID and authorize the computer, which I do (and indeed, have done many times before). I then get a grey screen, and video controls which show that the movie is playing-- but with no sound, and no video.
This happens with every downloaded TV episode I've tried. I have looked at various suggestions on this forum; I have tried authorizing it with an administrator account, as well as deleting the SC Info folder. I've tried deleting and re-downloading episodes after doing all these things. Nothing seems to work.

I've got the same problem. Can't find the song file on my computer at all. I did delete it from itunes, but when I go to the store it A - says I don't have any purchases, B - when I search for the file it doesn't show any re-download option (shows I own it though) and when I click play it gives the same error, indicating the file is still local.
There are a lot of these threads on itunes support. Obviously Apple doesn't give a flying crap if every thread has responses from people who can't fix it. I've learned my lesson and will never buy anything from Apple again.

Not being prompted for collection variables

Heres the situation: i have a few very similar task sequences that deploy operating systems to unknown computers. By placing the collection variable "OSDComputerName" on the unknown x64 computers collection my unknown 64-bit computers
stop and ask for a computer name before executing the rest of the task. I have an identical setup on my unknown x86 collection. When i PXE boot that task sequence though i am never prompted to enter the variables. Both advertisements are
optional installs. Both boot disks while different architecture and drivers are based on the lasted boot images that came with SCCM 2012r2 with the latest updates (6.3.9600.16384). Other than collecting my variables the task sequence functions.
Any ideas?
Update: It appears that the real problem is that this computer is not associating with the expected collection. The device runs a 64-bit capable Atom CPU but is only compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows. I expected (possibly incorrectly)
that the computer when unknown would associate with the unknown 32-bit computer object, but in fact it associates with the 64-bit unknown computer object.

That was a good idea and gave me a clue. The collection variable did function that time so i did some more testing. I have determined that this device is booting my 32-bit boot image, but is including itself in the "Unknown x64 Computer"
object and therefore pulling collection variables and tasks from the "Unknown x64" collection. Is there a place in the logs I can determine what collection this unknown device is associating with? Looking at smsts.log i also found what
appears to be the machine stating that its a 64-bit compatible system: "Is 64-bit capable: 1"

MII prompts for a login for every execution of a workbench object

Is there a setting in MII 12.1.9 Build(108) somewhere, by which I can make the system not to prompt for a login for every execution of a Web object in the workbench?

The background is that there were significant changes made to the underlying NW package and corresponding changes in MII starting with 12.1.8 which are what is causing the difficulties you experience.

Repeatedly Prompted for iCloud Password

I have an iPad mini with iOS 7.1.2 installed. It was new out of the box two weeks ago (warranty replacement for one that had a different problem). I didn't restore from any previous backup, but I did connect to my iCloud and iTunes accounts before re-downloading the apps I wanted and syncing with my iTunes library to add photos and other miscellany.
For the last several days I have been prompted two or three times a day to enter my iCloud password when I unlock the device. There is no discernible pattern, but so far I have not been prompted for it while using the device - only immediately upon unlocking. I have tried the following, based on suggestions in other forums: (1) delete and re-connect iCloud account; (2) delete iCloud account, power device off and on, re-connect iCloud account; (3) delete iCloud account; restore network settings; power device off and on; re-connect iCloud account. The problem persists. Today, for the first time, I received a notification while the device was locked alerting me that I needed to verify my iCloud password for iCloud backup.
The device otherwise operates normally, with one, one-time exception that I mention only in case it presents a pattern that I'm not experienced enough to see: yesterday, with cellular data off, I was connected to my home wifi and browsing with no problem. Without warning, the wifi connection dropped, or appeared to drop. I went into settings and verified that wifi was enabled, and that my home wifi network was selected. It was, and the settings panel showed a connection (but there was no wifi symbol in the status bar, and no actual connection). The wifi was working properly; both my phone and my laptop, within five feet of each other and the iPad, were experiencing no connectivity issues. Switching to airplane mode and back did not solve the problem, but powering off and on did, and it has not recurred.
I would appreciate any assistance. I have not yet made a Genius Bar appointment, as there is no guarantee that I could replicate the problem in-store (though I do have screencaps of some but not all of the prompts). Thanks very much.

After jumpstart host doesn't prompt for root password

Hiya gang,
I am migrating my jumpstart functionality to a new server and while it would appear that 100% of things are identical on both (as far as my /jumpstart tree is concerned), when I jumpstart a host (V240, in this case, but I've seen it on a SunBlade 150 too) everything appears to go well, but after the host reboots at the very end and I attempt to log in on console as root I am not even prompted for a password.
I've booted to single user over the net and on the disk that was just jumpstarted I see what would appear to be a normal Solaris system. There are no indications that I can find of why it wouldn't prompt for password at all, and I'm not well enough versed with the way the login functionality works to know why this is.
My new jumpstart server is running Solaris 10 (08/07), and I'm trying to jump a host with the same version. The very same jumpstart using my old jumpstart server works just fine.

...so, I checked them out and /etc/pam.conf and /usr/lib/security/pam_mkhomedir.so are both owned nobody:nobody, which smelled like an NFS issue since both of those files are copied over to the hosts as part of a JASS_FILES variable, but during the finish script execution (they're copied by install-templates.fin). So, I did some digging there and found another Sun forum thread that had info on it:

...so I made the requisite change to /etc/default/nfs (setting the max version to 3) and the next jumpstart I tested worked perfectly, password prompt and all. All files that were previously owned nobody:nobody had the correct ownership this time around.

i can not get any of my apps to update nor can i install any new apps. when I go to the app store it does not prompt me for my user name or password anymore . ... any sudgestions ????

It sounds to me like you are trying to get new content or update your apps but no matter what you do you are not being prompted for your Apple ID and password. I recommend first starting by signing out of your iTunes and App Stores in Settings > iTunes and App Stores. Then close all the running apps on the phone:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone, sign back into your account and try again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, I would next backup your device to iTunes, and restore it:
