Oes11sp2 yast online updates - validation check failed

Did all online updates September 29th for my sles11sp3 oes11sp2 servers and restarted servers. Went to check today and I'm getting a validation check failed error.
Validation check failed
File repomd.xml from repository sles11-sp3-updates.... is signed but the integrity check failed.

I'm getting the same thing on multiple servers, will try again later!

Now, I did do some research, and it seems that if I do:
    makepkg -g
That will give me the current sha, but I'm reluctant to use it:
If the github repo is trusted (which seems to be the case), why isn't the PKGBUILD updated automatically?
I'm guessing there must be a good reason, and I would like to clear that up before I continue.
    Thanks.

Yea, and also, dependencies are not defined, so it's not really a good alternative to leiningen.
In either case, leiningen is what really needs to be fixed, in my view, because that's what the github wiki points to: https://github.com/technomancy/leiningen/wiki/Packaging
And I think I know the perfect way to do it: Instead of drawing from the floating stable, why not simply draw from a specific commit in stable?
That seems like a perfect solution, because that's essentially a snap-shot, which won't change until the package maintainer decides to update the pkgbuild.
    What do you think?

  • Validity check failed of oracle-sqldeveloper

    Hello Folks,
I have tried to install the "oracle-sqldeveloper" of the AUR with yaourt from this source Arch Linux Forums
To get the newest version I modified the PKGBUILD of oracle-sqldeveloper.
I change the package version, the url and the the checksums.
The checksums and the other parameters are correct but I got an error when I started building:
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build oracle-sqldeveloper.
I have also tried to download the package from oracle directly and deploy it with a local http-server, but with the same result.
How can I fix that problem?
    greetings

Yes, it says, that the check for the downloaded file from the oracle site fails, but I generated the checksum with md5sum and sha256sum, but it also fails with the new check sum.
That is true, that I´m new with arch, but I have already worked with makepkg and pacman.
I´m using yaourt, because I need many packages that are not in the official repos.
greetings & thx for your reply

  • Online certificate check failed

I downloaded viber a while ago on my nokia 5230 and it was working perfectly. Recently when I opened viber on my phone I received a message saying that there s a new version of viber available on ovi store that I should get. Which I did. But when updating viber my phone says online certificate check failed. And the installation stops there. What does that mean? Can someone please help? This is highly frustrating. Almost smashed my phone because of that. Please help.
    Solved!

I guess, you used this item.
Although scoobyman’s answer solves this issue, it opens up your Nokia to viruses and other bad applications. Signing makes sure, the author of the app is the one he claims to be. Signing makes the author responsible for what he does. If an author does something bad, his certificates gets revoked. OCSP makes sure, the signature is still good. Therefore, revert these two settings, after you installed an app you are trusting.
Furthermore, an application from the Nokia Store should work with any setting. Any error or warning message is not acceptable and should be forwarded to the Nokia Store team for further analysis.
    a) Menu » Settings » Installations » Installations settings » Software installation
The state of this item does not matter because Viber is signed correctly. Therefore, ‘Signed only’ works for Viber and is recommend.
    b) Menu » Settings » Installations » Installations settings » Online certificate check (OCSP)
The state of this item does matter. Therefore, please, set is at least to ‘On’. In Wireshark, I checked that the certificate is not revoked but good. Therefore, I have no idea what is wrong here. It this not normal.
    Conclusion:
Set ‘Online certificate check’ from ‘must be passed’ to ‘On’. If you still get the installation security warning ‘Unable to verify supplier’, report this to the Nokia Store team for further investigation.
Change ‘Software installation’ from to ‘off’ only when you are absolutely trusting that app. Revert ‘Software installation’ to ‘signed only’ after the installation of that single particular app.

  • DPM 2012 R2 Rollup 4, Update Rollup 7 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 backups with eseutil check fail

    Hi,
It could be a coincidence, but ever since installing Update rollup 4 onto DPM 2012 R2, (which was at UR3 I believe) I haven't been able to complete an Exchange express full backup or consistency check with verification using Eseutil checked. If I have the
eseutil check enabled I get the following error:
    Type: Consistency check
    Status: Failed
Description: Data consistency verification check failed for LOGS of Exchange Mailbox Database Mailbox Database 2011112513 on SERVER.xxx. (ID 30146 Details: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process (0x80070020))
Disabling the eseutil verification allows it to succeed, but I'm not happy to continue with that for too long.
I've had this running for many years and this is the first real issue with exchange, its a single stand alone exchange database.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Andreas,
the error is stating that something else has a handle to a file or files during the ESEUtil check.  Typically this is AV.  I have also seen where the Exchange limits are exceeded and that causes the issue.
Please ensure you have the DPM AV exclusions for the DPM server and I would advise the DPMRA.exe on the PS.  You can also trying disabling or removing AV as a test.
    DPM AV exclusions -
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh757911.aspx
You may also want to test using eseutil against the logs outside DPM and see if that fails with similar issue.  Let us know.  Thanks

Before i started to bug TAC, I figured I'd post this here.
    Let me know your thoughts

Looks like your package repository has been corrupted.  TAC can provide a procedure  to recover from this corruption.  The following DOC indicates  why this can happen and has suggestions on how to avoid these problems  from re-occuring.

    Hi All,
in one of our quality system, updates and check DB failed that scheduled in DB13. the error log shows there is permission issue, but i checked the BRTOOLS permissions it has rights, i attached the error log here, plz suggest to solve the issue.

    Hi,
BR0301E SQL error -12546 at location db_connect-2, SQL statement:
    'CONNECT /'
    ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied
BR0310E Connect to database instance QAS failed
From the above errors, I am guessing that you may be trying to run CheckDB / Update statistics jobs from DB13 for REMOTE DB Instance located on Remote Host (i.e. QAS instance).
If my guess is right then,  please refer [SAP Note 1256322 - Establishing a remote database connection in DBACOCKPIT|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1256322] and do the required settings as listed in that SAP Note 1256322 and then retry.
Also ensure that latest BR*tools is in use with the required permissions on local/remote hosts.
Permissions 4775 should be there for brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools with owner ora<sid> and group sapsys.
Permissions 755 should be there for brrestore, brrecover, brspace with owner <sid>adm and group sapsys.
Use the following commands to change the permissions & owners/groups for the same.
chmod 4775 brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools
chown ora<sid>:sapsys brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools
    chmod 755 brrestore, brrecover, brspace
    chown <sid>adm:sapsys brrestore, brrecover, brspace
    ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied
If QAS is the remote DB host, then copy+paste the TNS entry in file tnsnames.ora of monitoring system (located at /oracle/<SID>/<Rel>_64/network/admin location). Its guided in the above suggested SAP Note 1256322. then check the connectivity using tnsping <Instance ID>. It should be completed with success and response time.

  • How can i create validation Checks in Online Adobe Form

    Hi Gurus
i am trying to create Online Adobe form.how can i do the validation checks while the user enter the values in Adobe form (For Ex: lets take personnel Number if the end user enter the personnel number it must go and  check the Data base table , if its right personnel number then processes next value or if its not right personnel number then it must show the error message).  please help me.
    Thanks in Advance
Edited by: Reddy on Nov 24, 2011 10:08 AM

    HI Reddy,
I think you can use either  'Submit' button or  web service for the validation. When we use the web service then it will work in offline mode also(user has to be on intranet - either via remote connectivity using VPN or office network) .
if you are going for 'Submit'  and If you want to validate the number when the user enter value, then write the code in 'Exit' event  .
Write the below code in the  event.
    ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
This code will trigger the submit event in the web Dynpro component.
    Hope this will helps you.
    Regards
    Shaira.

    Hi,
The error code  0xC004E003 means that the Software Licensing Service reported that license evaluation failed.
We may need to involve the phone activation center and check if they can resolve the issue:

  • Online Update edirectory 888 patch conflicts

Saw yesterday that Novell released patches for eDirectory 8.8.8 for OES 11.2. On my Groupwise 2012 server, I am getting a conflict error when running Online Updates.
    patch:oes11sp2-edirectory-888-patch2-hot-patch-9407.noarch conflicts with novell-NLDAPbase.x86_64 < 8.8.8.2-0.7.1 provided by novell-NLDAPbse-8.8.8.1-0.5.13.x86_64
It gives me 3 choices for Conflict Resolution. I can deinstall, replace, or not install the patch. I believe I would want to do replace, but I do not want to cripple my server either.
    Please help guide me, Obi-Wan!

Good point. That's the problem I was remembering, but yeah, this one does
    look like a different package.
I'm asking backline support what should be done here. Hang on ...

    Installation of <SUNWnfsckr> was successful.
This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and
version of a package which is already installed.  This installation
will attempt to overwrite this package.

This patch has been obsoleted by 118833-24. Can you
install the later revision and let us know if you see
the same problems?turning back to the problem of 118833+zones: if I try to install the -24 or -23 in milestone single-user I have the old problem: pkgadd: ERROR: unable to create unique temporary file </etc/fs/nfs/mount5Ia4ty>: (30) Read-only file system in the zones. I assume, the patchadd starts the zones and not waits until the zone is online. On the old slow hardware it can bring this error message and, at least, the /etc/fs/nfs/mount will not be updated.
The workaround is not to install this patch automatically, start zones with boot -s, wait, until they are ready and then apply this patch. It's probably not very bad idea to start all active zones first and then apply patches. It spares time on slow and not very slow systems.
