OFA changed once again...

OFA changed once again...
I was OFA compliant with all my 9i installations. Nowadays I need to make few new installations which have to be OFA 11g compliant. Along with that systems I'll have two 10g OFA 10g compliant installations. Worst of all, there will be more than 30 upgraded 9i intsallations, where I'll have 11g database running on old 9i OFA mount points...
From my perspective, any new installation of 11g database which will stick to new OFA recommendation will introduce new mess in my system... Is there any good of OFA? I lived in hope that OFA will actually help me in upgrade procedure one day :)
Is there anyone who actually had some benefit from OFA complaint installation?
Thanks
Srdjan

People should read their customer aggreements. There is a whole part on this exact issue:
"HOW AND WHEN CAN I DISPUTE CHARGES?
If you're a Postpay customer, you can dispute your bill within 180 days of receiving it, but unless otherwise provided by law or unless you're disputing charges because your wireless device was lost or stolen, you still have to pay all charges until the dispute is resolved. If you're a Prepaid customer, you can dispute a charge within 180 days of the date the disputed charge was incurred. YOU MAY CALL US TO DISPUTE CHARGES ON YOUR BILL OR ANY SERVICE(S) FOR WHICH YOU WERE BILLED, BUT IF YOU WISH TO PRESERVE YOUR RIGHT TO BRING AN ARBITRATION OR SMALL CLAIMS CASE REGARDING SUCH DISPUTE, YOU MUST WRITE TO US AT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ADDRESS ON YOUR BILL, OR SEND US A COMPLETED NOTICE OF DISPUTE FORM (AVAILABLE AT VERIZONWIRELESS.COM), WITHIN THE 180–DAY PERIOD MENTIONED ABOVE. • Report is not getting refreshed after changing prompts once again?

    HI,
I am running some webi and deski reports using webi sdk also i'm handling the prompts of
    report.
Problem is that if i ran the parametrized webi or deski report then my application shows the prompt page
then i fill all the prompt for the report it shows the data for selected prompt values.
But if i once again changed prompt values it shows data of previously selected prompt values not for
the currently changed prompt values. means reports not getting refreshed.
    sometimes its work correctly.
    What will be problem?
How can i resolve this issues?
    Please help me
    Thanks in advance
    Harshad

    The workflow is:
    1. Refresh
    2. Set Prompts
    3. Get View.
    then repeat.
Are you refreshing before setting prompts?
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda

I'm about ready to migrate everything to google and gmail. Once again, the iCloud iMap server is rejecting my password and refusing to get my mail. This has happened dozens of times since iCloud went live. My password has NEVER been changed. The same password works flawlessly in iTunes store and Apple store. Somebody please give me a reason NOT to cut bait on iCloud.

iCloud Mail is down.  Has been for a while.  I would hope this will be resolved soon.
I agree with you.  iCloud does not seem to have anywhere near a 99.9% uptime.  :-)

Make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Then try deleting the library again.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

If I am browsing on site such as Ebay or any shopping site and click on an item, when I return to the search page I am once again at the top of the page and have to search down for where I was in the list of items. This is not only on Ebay it is everywhere I search. Firefox goes back to the top of the page . It is annoying to have to figure out exactly where I was if I left the page and then returned. This is a hinderance when using Firefox. I have considered uninstalling it because of the inconvenience of 're-searching' after already doing a search. Firefox used to take me right back to where I was if I left a page, but that feature is not working now. I am not sure how to change this in the settings.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

Even I cant believe this is happening again! i'm once again asking for help with my account.  Since im very sick I ask that u look into my account and read the hell verizon has put me through and assist ending the hell once and for all even if that means ending my contract, i just want the hell over. I went into my bill tonight and the mess was still there I paid $110. that's what I owe

I guess I spoke too soon!  I really can't believe this nightmare is not over yet! My account is still wrong.  The credit that I was due totaled $63.00  I am looking at a message on my phone saying that $21.01 was credited which makes my balance $219.72.  I received a text the following day that says, I processed your credit of $30.00 and your new balance $216.73 how is that possible?  None of the late fees were credited and the amount due for my monthly charges are wrong.  Before any changes were made to my data plan back in Nov. My monthly charges were $140.00, I needed my hot spot back and i was told that the hot spot will increase my bill $10 for each phone that totals $20.  The customer rep that change my data plan at that time also gave me a credit of $20 to compensate for the increase until I had time to talk with customer service about the mix-up with my Hot spot. I originally had the hot spot, but the rep that change my plan almost a year prior told me nothing was changing except I was getting more for less money.  I explained to that rep that I need my hot spot 4 times a year...and I don't want my plan to have any changes. To verify what I'm telling u check my account and see that I called from Albany New York wanting to know where my hot spot was and I was told I didn't have the hot spot on my account since the last data change!  I lost money once again due to the verizon rep's.  so my current data plan the rep promised would increase $20 which makes my monthly charges that were $140 prior to the change $160 after the hot spot was returned to my account.  Then I was given a $12 credit per month for 12 months because of so many mistakes made to my account so with that $12 credit my monthly charges should $148 + surcharges + taxes and that's not what I see. I do know this much right now my account is in such a shambles I can hardly see the light at the end if there is an end!  I need real help!

  • UDS 4.0 once again: Could not add "DB11.DBB6" to the response list.

    Hi,
once again we have heavy trouble with UDS 4.0 connecting to a SINUMERIK OPC server.
Unfortunately the OPC server does not support browsing. GroupList and TagList returns nothing.
    The facts:
    - MII 12 on Windows Server 2003
    - UDS 4.0 SP1 on  same server.
    - OPC connectivity has been tested with Matrikon Explorer. Tag has been added manually (remember, browsing not possible).
    - Creating UDS instance works. UDS can see remote OPC server and is able to create an instance from it.
    - Data server has been created in MII 12 to connect to UDS.
    - Connection status to UDS is ok. Can also be seen as Debug file shows query details.
    - TagQuery has been created with adding the tag manually (browsing not possible).
When we try to test the query we always get the error message
Could not add "DB11.DBB6" to the response list.
    and
    No Tag selected
The strange thing ist that, if we use a non existing tag like "test123" then the same error occurrs instead of "No valid tags  requested".
Here you can find the debug file of UDS:

The Debug file is from a Windows XP Professional system. But the same thing happens with the UDS installed
    on Windows Server 2003 (x64).
The following config variations have been tried:
    - synchronous / asynchronous
    - Cache mode "None"
    - Threading model STA / MTA
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Matthias

    Hi Mathais,
I assume you have installed the OPC enum services in the same machine where xMII UDS is running.
Also make sure that the browsing mode is set to true in the OPC Server.
We had the same issue...and were receiving the same error...but once we changed teh Browing mode at teh OPC server to true, tag quesries started working....
    Hope it helps...

  • Password can only be changed once

Suddenly on our system users can only change their password once. That means:
    1) Administrator creates account in WGM with OpenDirectory-Password "xxx1".
    2) User can login with password "xxx1"
    3) User changes password to "xxx2".
    4) User can login with password "xxx2"
    5) Some time later user changes password again, this time to "xxx3".
    6) User cannot login with the new password "xxx3", but he can still login with the old password "xxx2"!!!
    7) Administrator changes password in WGM to "xxx3".
    8) User can still not login with password "xxx3", only the old password "xxx2" works!
    9) The only way to change the password at this time, is to delete the user in WGM and recreate it with the new password.
We suspect that it has something to do with Kerberos. If the user tries after step 6) (from above) to get a Kerberos ticket using /System/Library/CoreServices/Kerberos.app, he can only get a ticket using the new password "xxx3"!
So for us it looks like the OpenDirectory- and Kerberos-Passwords are somehow getting out of sync.
    Our configuration:
    Server: 10.4.7 (PPC)
Clients: 10.4.7 and 10.4.9 (both PPC)
    Thanks for any help.
    Best regards from Switzerland

  • I'm suddenly unable to join my Airport network with my PowerBook G4.  I am able to access my network with all of my other devices.  How can I once again establish access using my PowerBook G4.

I'm suddenly unable to join my Airport network with my PowerBook G4.  I am able to access my network with all of my other devices.  How can I once again establish access using my PowerBook G4?

Bruce777 solved this for me, thank you Bruce! My printer now works perfectly on my new wifi network!
Bruce's  instructions, for anyone else having the same issue:
    - delete any previously set up printers
    - scrub old hp software and update software to get the hp 2.8 drivers
    - remove the usb cable from the printer if you have one connected
    - reset the printer network to hpsetup (hold down the power button and press network button 2x and then cancel 3x, release power button.)
    - print out the wireless network test report (hold down the network button and press the update button 2x). verify the network name / ssid is hsetup
    - got to sys prefs > network and change the mac wireless network to hpsetup
    - go to the sys pref > print scan
    - add the HP 8000 printer
    - click on the options and supplies button and click on the Show Printer Webpage
    - click on the networking tab > wireless in the left pane > start network wizard and change the network from hpsetup to your network
    - finish (this page may freeze up.  close the browser)
    - go back to the sys prefs and change the wireless network back to your networt
    - go to the printer and print out the wireless network test report (press network button and update button 2x).  Check that the SSID is your network
    - go to sys prefs > print scan > select your printer > options & supplies > show printer webpage > network info (check ssid and compare to wireless network test report)
    - try printing something to your printer.  It might take a little time the first print.

  • Performance issue / faster response after using of same criteria once again

Since some days I have the problem that some fast queries (not changed) need now a lot of time. The response time for the same query is very different as well: sometimes only 531ms and then 15 secs.
Now i found out that when I use the same criteria (or only the column which is indicated) once again that the query runs much faster.
    Does anybody has similiar experiences?
    Thanks! Daniel.

I don't think that is the issue, a query that requires a 14+ second parse would be something to behold.
The difference is respnse time is likely to do with the data blocks being cached as result of the first query.

  • Once again, my .mac aliases have disappeared from Mail.... Arghhh! help?

Once again, with no warning, all my .mac aliases have disappeared from the dropdowns in my Mail app (OS 10.4.11). They still exist in .mac/mobile me webmail, and in Mail i'm still receiving emails addressed to them. But I can't reply to these emails with the alias, nor create new emails with aliases.
I have tried Sync-ing with the site- i recollect that has worked in the past, but now no change. i have tried adding the aliases in with commas after the primary address in Preferences (as is suggested in KB below), but it does not work- and the next time Prefs is open, they are gone. In Mail preferences, the account is listed as ".mac", which is listed in the KB as one of the correct types (the other being imap).
I use my .mac aliases a lot, and have for years. i do NOT like or want to go to .mac/me Webmail to be able to use them. i do NOT want to change them to .me addresses/aliases. I can't stand how they just randomly come and go as far as being available as dropdowns in Mail... what the heck is up with Apple? i'm paying $100 for these kinds of services (excuse me, $99) and they can't keep a few aliases available to their own app (Mail)? If they weren't so deeply embedded in my business uses, i'd ditch the whole thing.
Anyway, enuf ranting; does anyone know the solution or work-around? Nothing in the below KB worked for me, even tho it is supposed to.
    the non-helpful KB: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2296

If your aliases are disappearing after you enter them, that would indicate that your Mail preferences file has become corrupted. The only solution for that is to delete the com.apple.mail.plist file in Home/Library/Preferences, then restart Mail and setup your account(s) again.
However, before you do that, you must remove all your mail account folders that being with "IMAP-"; otherwise you'll create more problems for yourself. Those are located in Home/Library/Mail.

  • When connecting to remote system, once again asking user & password details

    hi
I created one RFC in R/3 system, with the same logical system name of xi, giving all technical and logon details.
When I click on remote logon to enter into xi system,it is once again asking user logon details. After entering the details it is allowing into the xi system. Directly it is not entering into remote system when I click remote logon button.
I created both sides (in xi and R/3) and checked the same thing. Both sides I am getting the same problem. it is showing client name correctly but user and password name it is displaying the same server information. like if I am connecting from R/3 to XI means it is showing XI client number but R/3 user and password. Once after I change user and password and press enter it is going into remote system.
Could someone please help me on this?
Thanks in advance and best regards,

    hi lavanya
Provide the user with the corresponding authorization or avoid using the protected users DDIC and SAP*
    check below
    Trusting Transaction SMT2
The trusting transaction SMT2 (or SM59 ® RFC ® Trusting Systems) constructs a list of all trusting systems that have been established for this trusted system. Here, a logon and authorization check for the current user and client is performed, using the destination TRUSTING_SYSTEM@S00 that has been automatically created.
This basically corresponds to transaction SM51, if you use Remote Login to perform a logon on a different application server.
If problems occur while setting the destination TRUSTING_SYSTEM@S00 (such as host name or service information), you either have to create a new destination for your needs, and then enter the host name or service information using SAP router strings, or adjust the network settings of the server. To correct the problem in transaction SMT2, you have to adjust the network configuration of the server. As this transaction is only to be used for test purposes, in this case you could also choose to ignore the error.
To perform a logon as a different user or client, you have to create a new RFC destination with a trusted option set.
In this scenario, the following error text in SMT2 can be ignored:
No authorization to log on as a trusted system (Trusted RC=0)
If the host name contains the character '_' (as in "my_host"), then the generation of the related trusting system destination may lead to incorrect settings. This problem can be corrected by implementing Support Package SAPKB46D09 (see below). For earlier releases, the changes required to correct the problem can be made manually.

  • I am on windows 7 and I upgraded to 10.0.2 and now it will not open. I have removed firefox completely and uploaded it again and that did not work. So my latest attempt I removed firefox 10 again and uploaded the beta version and once again nothing.

I am on windows 7 and I upgraded to the newest verison of firefox and now it will not open. I have removed firefox completely and uploaded it again and that did not work. I then made sure it could get through my firewall and that did not work. So my latest attempt I removed firefox 10 again and uploaded the beta version hoping that would do it and once again nothing. It will not open at all. Please help - is there a live chat or a number to talk to someone at Firefox?

I think when uninstalling you may also have to choose (tick) to delete the preferences and other personal data like the bookmarks, stored passwords etc. to erase completely. If you are installing afresh, please try right-clicking on the file and '''Run as administrator''' to install. And when uninstalling, please also make sure choose to delete all data and also manually delete any '''Mozilla''', '''Mozilla Firefox''' or '''Firefox''' from %appdata%, %localappdata% and %programfiles%. You can open a location by typing for eg. %appdata% in the '''Run''' box (Windows key + R). You may also have to check the '''VirtualStore''' folder in %localappdata%. Files in the VirtualStore can be problematic. I think a clean installation may help.

Please note that using system restore would usually damage the Firefox installation.

  • MDT 2012 deploy OS from USB external drive failed - need to unplug and plug it once again

We are using MDT 2012 and deploying Windows 7 using media (USB external hard drive). We can successfully deploy Windows 7 32 bit using this method but there is a problem with deploying Windows 7 64bit. This problem appears only on HP EliteBook 840. We can
boot into WinPE 64 bit and can start proper task sequence, all image is applied then after restart, before logon screen appears there is an error saying that cannot find litetouch.vbs script. After clicking ok, I can logon to Windows and there is no usb external
drive recognized. But when I unplug and plug usb drive once again it is recognized by Windows and can be used. I can see that Windows install some drivers just after plug it again
I checked BIOS looking for some USB power options - there is no such settings. And 32 bit deployment works ok. So this is not a case. Looks for me like a problem with proper usb drivers for 64 bit. I download all drivers from HP website (driver pack and
drivers only for USB 3.0). We are using make and model matching in MDT - works ok for all the rest hardware models. Any idea how to troubleshoot it?

Not sure what's going on here. Is this a USB "Flash" drive or a USB "Hard Drive". There *Is* a distinction.
I *thought* that MDT would copy itself to the c:\minint\scripts folder to continue installation.
Next time, when you see this error, Press Shift-F10 to get into a cmd.exe prompt. Can you find litetouch.vbs on any of the drives? Does the USB Drive appear?
IF in fact, the USB Drive is not appearing after the 1st reboot, then you have a problem. Why did the USB 3.0 driver not install. Check the Driver Installation Logs to verify.

Every time I update LR to a new version I seem to need a patch to make it work..... once again here I am SOS! I've just update LR to the 5.7 version and It wont let me start it: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).

Your system is missing a couple DLLs that LR needs, but the fix at Adobe is to copy them to the LR folder which gets replaced for each install, so you have to redo it after each LR install.  It would be worth documenting the process and saving the DLLs so you don’t have to ask about it each time:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/error-unable-start-correctly-0xc00007b.html
You might also use the AIO210 program to add them as detailed in this YouTube video—maybe this is a more permanent fix, but since the files are from media-fire be very careful about what you do so as not to install a virus on your computer.
I’d scan the downloaded ZIP you download with whatever virus and internet security software you have and don’t be fooled by extraneous popups you might see during the download process.  I was able to download the aio210.zip after authorizing one Captcha window and closed at least one bogus popup trying to get me to install other software.  I also scanned the downloaded zip with two virus scanners and both said it was clean.  Here is the YouTube video, where the link to the ZIP to download is in the description once you expand it:
