Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. I have a project that is due ASAP. I tried to open an ai. file this morning and I got the error message:

Your file seems to be corrupted. The first question is: how much is recovered if you create a new document and place the file in it.
It may be possible to recover more, but that requires some work.The following TechNotes may give an impression; the former is general and explanatory, the latter deals with a specific case similar to yours.

I have updated my I phone 4S and need to login to in to be able to use my phone. I am able to access and log in to Apple on the computer with my password and username although not able to do this on my phone. It keeps saying invalid user name or password. Based on the numerous posts regarding iTunes and the App Store, there appears to be an issue at Apple's end. Although Apple has not provided any indication on the cloud status page.

Everytime I come across a site that requires an captcha code, it's always blank, I cannot enter anything because no codes are visible and the audio option doesn't work either (even though my audio in general works fine) It works in none of my other browsers and I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling firefox as well as clearing my cache and cookies, but nothing, please help? thanks!
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.images pref should be 1.

Javascript not working in any browser except Opera! Please help!
I don't know for what particular reason, javascript has stoppped working in all the browsers I have, (Safari, Firefox, Camino, OmniWeb,)except on Opera. Can anyone direct me in the right direction to solve this issue?
Ok...
1.) Unless it is a horribly designed site javascript not working would not prevent you from at least opening said site. You might not be able to use some of the features, or in the example of acual applications like gmail or then new yahoo mail you might not be able to use those at all since they are written soley for js. But for sites like VersionTracker it shouldnt make a difference.
2.) Javascript is an interpeted language run on the client - ie the web browser. There is nothing to install. its part of the web browser youre using. You can uninstall and reinstall the browser itself but javascript is not a seperate component or something that is shared across applications that utilize it.
Javascript is not the issue here at least in the case of versiontracker and 1010wins. I turned JAvascript off in my browser and visited both and they load jsut fine. Your eChalk mail might need js but i dont know about all that.
So.... what happens when you try to visit one of these sites in one of the problem browsers???? Do you get a balck white screen? A server Error message? a DNS error? Does the app crash? etc.. -
Greetings this evening, I just purchased an iphone 5s and want to transfer some of my itunes from my mac running 10.6.7 to my new iphone 5s.I downloaded version 11.1 from the itunes website,restarted my computer but it wont recoginize the new 11.1 version which it tells me I need to sync songs from mac to 5S.Even though I downloaded version11.1 it still says I'm running version 10? How can I get my itunes from my mac onto my new phone and have them in itunes on the phone? Love my music! Thank You !

Illustrator abruptly closed my saved file and said it cannot open the illustration. It says it contains illegal operand. Offending operator: 1. #INF. Can anyone please help?
What exactly did it do?
Crash while saving a file? That most probably ruins a file.
You can try and create a new Illustrator file, then place the old one in it. If that doesn't work, You might need to search for a backup.
Don't have a backup?
Start using the (free) plugin Autosaviour, use Time Machine (or whatever your system offers as a backup software) -
HELP!!!! My Hotmail no longer works with Safari v. 5.0.6 and my Imac Leopard operating system 10.5.8. Please help me with any suggestions on what to do. Thank you. I cannot find any new downloads for Safari that work with Leopard. The newest ones only work with Lion. My Firefox browser still works though but I would rather use Safari and cannot access any e-mails or send any e-mails via Safari. They did change it to Outlook recently, but while not pretty, I can access mine with Safari 4.0 still...
You can also set it up in Mail so you don't need a browser at all if you want. -

There is a good chance after 3years (A 2TB should be only about 2years tops), the disk or the TC itself is on the way out. Do it immediately. If TM is also failing to backup you need to recognise symtoms of impending doom.
Unfortunately the error messages are archane and it is hard to discover their meaning.
You also cannot verify a network drive.. you can verify the TM sparsebundle though so do that.

Reboot the whole network from off.. certainly if you run later OS it can simply lose the drive..
If you still fail to be able to copy to the TC.. then get that external and copy off it. Tell us if you can do that. -
Multiple database operations in Database Adapter - please help

I would like to have multiple operation in my database adapter. I drop the database adapter onto the composite.xml and follow the wizard. An adapter with one operation is created.
When I click the "Edit" button on it and run the wizard again, all the previous changes are lost, and only the new operation is present.
In the "Oracle® Fusion Middleware User's Guide for Technology Adapters 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.5.0) 9 Oracle JCA Adapter for Database" I read the following:+

did you actually test this? When I finish creating a DBAdapter, there is a operation present. Then when I click edit again on the DBAdapter, and I create another select, when I finish only the first operation is gone, and I can only see the one I've created via the last edit.
I dont understand your reply. Can I have two operations, each one with select underneath, in the same adapter?

Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
