Office 2010 calendar sync's device- machine only.

Hi all,
I have an Office 2010 and Blackberry Desktop Software v7 installed on a new personal laptop and have the same setup on my office laptop.
I am able to do a 2-way sync on the office laptop with no issues. But on my personal laptop; I can only do a 1-way sync for my calender: device to outlook. While the rest i.e. notes, tasks, contacts are doing a 2-way sync.
I have already made sure the settings are set to 2-way but still to no avail. please help.
Thanks

OK thanks. So what, exactly, tells you that it's a 1-way sync only? Some message on the screen? Something else?
On the one that is not working, you may want to review this thread:
http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/Cleanly-quot-Starting-Over-quot-with-...
It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
Good luck!

  • I cannot make my Outlook 2010 calendar/tasks/contacts sync with the calendar on my iPhone 5, I cannot make my Outlook 2010 calendar sync with the calendar on my iPhone 5

I have wasted so many hours trying to make this work and researching Apple support.  Nothing works so I am hoping to get an answer here.
First of all, here is what I am using:
    Windows 7 32 bit
    Outlook 2010
    iPhone 5 and iPad 3
    iOS 7.0.2 on both devices
I have downloaded the iCloud app for my Windows computer and checked that it sync my contacts, calendar, and tasks.  I have enabled iCloud on my phone for contacts, calendars and tasks.  I have not been able to get anything to sync.  My iCloud calendar appears in Outlook but everything is grayed out.  I see the iCloud reminders under my tasks tab but there is nothing listed.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iCloud on my Windows computer.  I have turned off the calendars, tasks, and contacts sync under iCloud on my phone and turned them back on - nothing.  I have restarted my computer and iPhone - nothing.  Same results with my iPad - nothing.
Additionally, I have gmail as my personal email; also am forced to use Good for Enterprise for my work email.
I am at my wits end.  I finally ended up syncing today with the USB cable via iTunes but the whole point behind iCloud is to be able to sync wirelessly.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello there janis143,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like after the recent iOS update, your Outlook content is no longer syncing properly to your phone.
    I found this article named:

    Is there any help?

To check if there could be some problems with your calendar database try to create a new calendar in MS Outlook. Add a test meeting and then point the calendar sync in PC Companion to the newly created calendar folder in MS Outlook. Now try to sync and check if it still fails. If it works, there is probably something wrong with your default calendar folder in MS Outlook.

  • Office outlook Calendar Sync

I have a 20GB colour click wheel IPod purchased late 2004.
Windows is XP with SP2 installed and updated regularly.
    ITunes is the latest edition.
    Microsoft Office is 2003 edition.
Problem is that I am trying to sync my Microsoft Office Outlook calendar with my IPod. However, despite ITunes stating that it is updating my calendar it does not. At the end of the automatic sync my song and photo library are correct, but my calendar remains empty.

This may be more than a temporary fix, so I would wait and cross that bridge if and when the same error message turns up.

  • Outlook 2010 Calendar Sync Issue

    Background:
    1. Traditional Chinese Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit running Outlook 2010 64 bit and iTunes 10.6.3.25 64bit.
    2. Three apple devices (namely, one iPad 2, one iPhone 4S and one iPhone 4) using the same apple id sync contact and calenda with Outlook 2010 since Day 1.
    3. No setup for sync with iCloud, Google Calenda, Live Calenda, etc before.
    Issue:
    1. Calendar and contact sync were working perfectly until two weeks ago when a conflict calendar message appeared but I neglected it (and now the conflict message does not pop up again).
    2. Any edit/ new addition in iDevice calendar does not appear in Outlook Calenda after sync.  Any edit/ new addition in Outlook Calendar does not appear in iDevice either. But contact sync is working flawlessly.
    3. Although the new entry/ edits of calenda of iDevice, say iPad 2, does not appear in Outlook Calendar after sync, the (supposingly) missing items appears again in my iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 after sync with Outlook.  So I believe the items are still there but cannot be properly displayed in Outlook Calendar only.  But if I create an entry in Outlook Calendar, the new entry or edit do not sync to my iDevices.
    4. Tried "reset sync history" and it didn't resolve the issue.  Browsing in internet for three days and tried many methods but the issue still exists.  Checked the calendar profile in Outlook and it is teh same as contact prfile.  But contact sync successfully but calendar does not.
    Please HELP!

Exatcly the same thing here with Outlook 2007 (-> not an Outlook 2010 issue???)
I tried several times. First I deleted all entries in my Outlook (I only want to copy entries from iPhone to Outlook). I made sure, none of the "Replace information on this iPhone"-flag was ticked and I also used the "Reset Sync History"-Button in iTunes.
Sync is OK for Contacts and Notes but all Calendar-Entries are deleted on the iPhone after sync (and Calendar in Outlook is still empty of course).
I am using an iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0.1, iTunes 9.2.1.4, on a Win7 64Bit with Outlook 2007 (was all OK a month ago when I was still using iOS 3.1.3, and iTunes ?.?.? (not sure but I think it was the version just before 9.2))
BTW: We are not allone. See following link:

  • How to sync 2 devices with only one iTunes ?

I have iphone and my gf has ipod touch. We only have one computer - win 7.
How can we sync it, so we can both have different music and apps on each device?

The easiest way is method 2 from this article - just sync certain playlists to each ipod.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1495
If you both want your own song ratings and play counts, use method 1. It's more of a pain to set up and keep updated when new music is added, though.

  • Calendar sync between devices completely messed up due to time zone differences

    Hi,
I have iPhone 4 (running iOS 7), iPod touch (iOS 6), iPad Air (iOS 8.1) and a Macbook Air (OS X Yosemite). I live in Moscow, Russia.
Two days ago Russia switched to a winter time, which means that the clock moved back one hour. These changes were automatically reflected on my iPad and Mac, since these are running the latest OS versions, but not on iPhone and iPod that can't be updated to iOS 8 since they are too old. So I had to switch their time manually.
Weird things started happening immediately after this with my reminders and especially calendar. Reminders are a mess: if I set a reminder to 11:00 on my iPhone, for instance, it might show up at 10:00 on my iPad. This happens all the time even though I now have the same time on all my devices.
But especially painful now is my calendar. I just notices that all my all-day events (such as birthdays) now moved to one day earlier, but ONLY on my iPad! So the Mac, iPhone, iPod and even icloud.com shows that a friend's birthday is on November 6th, but iPad states that it is on November 5th! And this happened across all my all-day events going forward - but not with those that already happened in the past.
I have no idea how ti fix this. Please help!

    HEllo,
same for me, however this is not due to the old IOs, in my case the time changed correctly on my ipad and iphone (both with the latest IOs8.1), so I was happy to see the right time on Sunday morning (remember 2011 it was a big mess), however my happiness was short : my calendar entries are wrong with most events starting an hour earlier.
my observation shows the mistake comes from apple because the calendar considers Moscow is in GMT +4 whereas it should be +3 today....
my time settings look ok, time zone is Moscow and time is set to be automatically adjusted...
PLease Apple help your customers using your devices in Russia !!!

  • Outlook 2010 Calendar syncing with iPhone -- why not?

    What gives here?
I get the message "iTunes could not sync calendars to the iPhone because the sync server failed to sync the iPhone."
    What does this mean?
I have tried every option in iTunes and every option in Outlook.
Obviously I am missing something..... but what?
    Everything else syncs.
    Thanks.

    Hi Bob.
Have you updated to the latest version of itunes/iphone? I ask as am having issues updating as well and before I start banging my head against a brick wall trying to get it all updated to see if it fixes the problem, i may as well find out if it could solve the issue.

  • I had iCloud on my Microsoft Office 2010 and tried to increase the font size - I read to unistall and reinstall, so I did. This took iCloud away from Calendars and Contacts. I re-installed iCloud and it will not sync with my Calendars

I had iCloud installed, and it was working, then I wanted to increase font size in the notes section of Calendar.  I read to uninstall iCloud and reinstall iCloud and it would be fixed.
Once I reinstalled iCloud it did not show up in Microsoft Office 2010 - Calendar or Contacts.........which it had previous to the uninstall.
When I sync it errors.  I am at my wits end trying to sync this, and it just keeps erroring. I am not syncing phots/photo stream, just contacts and calendar.
Please can anyone tell me what setting I have to change??

Needed to add some clarification here:
iCloud shows me as signed in, but Calendars are NOT checked
Internet Accounts shows Calendars as syncing

  • ITunes 9.2, MS Office 2010 & iOS4... duplicate calendar. How to remove one?

I just upgraded to Microsoft Office 2010 (I had 2007).
When I sync my iPhone to my MS Outlook 2010 I now see two calendars on my iPhone.
In MS Office 2007 and the 3.1.3 FW is was okay. Is this a MS Office 2010 issue.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit , 64 bit of iTunes and 32 bit of MS Office '10 installed.
I tried unticking one Calendar on the 'Info' tab, but that didn't help. Also in the 'Advanced' section to replace information on this iPhone with this calendar wasn't succesful.
Is there a way to remove one calendar on my iPhone?

I tried having all in a 64 bit environment, so:
    64-bit of Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit iTunes 9.2 and 64-bit MS Office 2010
than syncing my iPhone in iTunes to my Outlook 2010 calendar but unsuccesful, there is still 2 calendars in my iPhone.
There is only one calendar present in my Outlook 2010.
I have a POP3 account, so NO Exhange, iCal or whatever.
Is there a way as to delete one calendar from my iPhone (it's the same as the other)?
I know that when using MS Office 2007 I only had one calendar, so I think Office 2010 has something to do with it.
(btw, I now reverted back to MS Office 2010 32-bit)

  • MS Office 2010 upgrade Home and Student to Home and Business

    Hello,
I have to change Office versions on a couple of computers from Home and Student to Home and Business. I intend to uninstall the current versions then install the new ones. Presumably the license keys "liberated" can be reused on other computers. Is that
    correct?
As far as I can tell, MS provides no way to recover a key. There are several utilities on the net that claim to do that. How reliable are they?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
For a preloaded Office version you can locate the product key on you computer.
If you purchased a Product Key Card, please locate the key on it.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/find-your-office-2010-product-key-HA101832538.aspx
If you lost the product key, try this:

    More information about licenses usage:
Q:Can I install Office Home and Business 2010 and Office Professional 2010 on more than one PC?
A:It depends on what you purchase—a Traditional Disc or Product Key Card. If you purchase a Traditional Disc retail license of Office Home and Business 2010 or Office Professional 2010, the retail license terms allow you to install, activate, and use Office
Home and Business 2010 or Office Professional 2010 on your primary PC and your portable device such as your laptop. This license is for your use exclusively.
If you purchase an Office 2010 Product Key Card, you can only activate and use the suite on one PC or device. For more information on the license you have purchased and to obtain an overview of your licensing agreement, visit the

  • Office 2010 "outlook not installed"

I have a user (I'm their IT support) who has a BB Curve 8350 (?) and when they try to sync to office 2010 (calendar and address book) it lets me configure it in Intellisync but then gives me an "Microsoft Outlook Not Installed" error directly afterwards. Office is very clearly installed because I can open it up and check email etc. I'm using Windows 7 32 bit OS, Office 2010 32 bit and BBDM 6.0.1 B21. Phone is also updated to 5.0.
I've hunted through the forums but haven't found my answer. Any suggestions?

  • Customised Office 2010 Themes Duplicating

We have created a customized theme consisting of one font and multiple color themes.  Templates have been created and the theme has been applied to each.
After distribution of the templates and themes the themes are duplicated in the drop down lists - Page Layout > Themes > Themes button, Page Layout >  Themes > Colors button or Page Layout Themes > Font button.  This is only happening
in Office 2010 and not on all machines.  We have checked the spelling and spacing and the duplicated items are identical.  If we uninstall the theme files the themes are still displayed in the drop down lists.
The themes have been distributed to the following folders:
    main theme = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes
    color theme = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes\Theme Colors
    font theme = C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes\Theme Fonts
As a work around we have distributed the templates and not the themes - staff still have access to the colour themes.  We would, however, like to distribute the themes so they are accessible for staff creating there own templates and a  PowerPoint
template that uses a userform and VBA coding to change the master slides  - we want to use the user themes folders as above rather than a network folder storing the themes (some users are on laptops and need to use the functionality when not connected
    to the network).
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

    Hi,
    for Document Themes, (like this:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/powerpoint-help/all-about-themes-quick-styles-cell-styles-and-background-styles-HA010178624.aspx?CTT=3 )
Maybe you need to add the features in, or perform a repair on your Office installation?
    Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features\Microsoft Office\Change\AddorRemoveFeatures\OfficeSharedFeatures\MicrosoftOfficeThemes
    (I have a big bunch of themes files at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Document Themes 14)
(that's for Office2010, but it might be similar for Office2013?)
Do you have any themes listed in Powerpoint\Design\Themes ?
Do you have a "more" button on the Themes group on the ribbon ?
maybe also, the blog post might help a little, or you could comment there and the PPT team may be able to help?

  • Windows 7 and Office 2010 activation issues

    hey everyone
since a few days we facing really strange issue here within our school. We are running windows 7 machines and office 2010 and all our different machine types is it VDI VMs, physical laptops, desktop computer or provisioning machines (Citrix PVS) are facing
    issues with the licensing.
Sometimes Windows 7 Key is not installed anymore, sometime it is just not activated same for office. So the KMS is installed with the KMS host keys since years and KMS service is running. Also the DNS Output points to the server
    C:\Users\.........>nslookup -type=srv _vlmcs._tcp
    Server:  DC....
    Address:  192.168.X.Y
    _vlmcs._tcp.Domain   SRV service location:
              priority       = 0
              weight         = 0
              port           = 1688
              svr hostname   = KMSHost
    KMSHost.domain  internet address = 192.168.X.Z
Also when i manually force the machines to update against KMS with VAMT or CLI it is working. What could cause that issues?
    Time issues?
    Scripts?
Thanks for any clue and advice

    Hi Duke,
"since a few days we facing really strange issue here within our school"
Have you made any modifications to the KMS server or the whole environment ?Will the issue persist or occur randomly ?Will it occur on the specific ones or all the machines ?
There are several specific log recorded in the event viewer when the KMS try to activate the machines .We can try to check the event logs both from the client and the KMS server to troubleshoot this issue .Please also check the Windows logs\Applications
,system logs for useful information to troubleshoot this issue .

providing "Microsoft Office 2010 encountered an error during setup:" but does not provide any error codes what so ever.
I have tried upgrading, Fresh installs, side by side installs, Safe mode, Clean boot, Local admin accounts and other domain accounts. I have also tried numerous so called "fixes" but still get nothing. Sadly after the 2010 install fails 2007 no longer works
so each attempt is abit time consuming.  Any Ideas out there that might solve issue ?

    Hi,
First try uninstalling all your Addins include connector to test the result.
If not help, try the following steps:
    1) Create a new administrator account.
    2) Log on and launch the installer.
If things don't quite work perfectly now:
    3) If you receive errors accessing your ProgramData folder, use the TakeOwnership registry hack to take control of the entire ProgramData folder, and if needed, create a "Microsoft Office"
folder with "Microsoft Office 2010 Tools" inside it under %programdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu.
    4) Your error may return at the end of the installation, but don't worry, it's finished and Office is now installed. Switch user (don't log off!) and go back to your own user. Double-check
that everything works. Now, to turn off your computer, press and hold the power button for five seconds. This will force the computer to shut down instantly, which will close the installer with the error without giving it the opportunity to roll back its changes.
    Sincerely,
    Harry
