Office 2010 Production Support

Did they ever release working support for the production release of Office/Outlook 2010 in either 32 bit or 64 bit for syncing? All the other 3rd party addins that we utilize where available when the product went production and prior to that. The only systems that we do not have on Office 2010 are the ones that require IPhone syncing, it is a pain to support to versions of Outlook and to keep publishing validation variance reports on these machines

Dave Sawyer wrote:
The answer remains the same as it was last week; Apple has not as of yet announced official support for Office 2010. When that support will come, no one here can say.
unfortunate that they can't stay in sync with the business curve, getting pressured to get the machines within compliance within 3 weeks, looks like we are are being forced back to Windows Mobile phones.

  • Office 365 downgrade for Office 2010 Product Key

    Hi,
I just would like to inquire if it is possible to downgrade the Office 365 that was purchased from a vendor.  The vendor specifically assured us that there would be product keys that would be given and we would be able to use it in on our existing Office
2010 products.  But unfortunately, it does not work.
The vendor is no longer answering our calls, emails text messages, etc after he has received the payment for the Office 365.
We are located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Who is that vendor? What did they tell you in detail?

  • Does Office 2010 Standard supports IRM ?

    I need a clarification.
Technet says we can't use IRM with Office 2010 Standard. But I am able to open IRM mails from Standard Edition, though i am not able to compose new mails / protect new docs.
Does technet means Office 2010 Standard supports only reading IRM protected mails/docs, but not protecting mails/docs ? If it is so, can i go ahead and purchase Office 2010 Standard instead of Pro Plus ? Is that legally right ?
    Regards.

    Hi,
Yes. Office 2010 Standard has a limited IRM feature which you mentioned.
If you want to replace the product, it would be better to call Microsoft for help.

  • Can I re-install Office 2010 Product Key Card?

I have a Office 2010 Product Key Card version. Do I need to remove it completely from one Windows 7 computer before I attempt to install it on a completely different Windows 7 computer.
Or does that version of Office 2010 always need to stay with the first computer?
If the latter is true, I wish that would have been spelled out in big, bold letters on the product box.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes, you can transfer Office 2010 to another PC.
But please note that you must remove Office 2010 completely from the previous PC. You’ll also need to use telephone option in Activation Wizard to contact the activation center after you transfer Office 2010 to another PC.

  • Microstoft Office 2010 product key error

I located the Office 2010 product key sticker on the side of my computer. It came pre-installed. When I type in the Product Key, I get an error message saying it is "Not a Valid Product Key". I have double checked that I am not typing the code in incorrectly and I cannot find multiple copies of Office 2010 installed.

    Hi,
No, that is NOT Office product key, it's Windows product key. Your machine has pre-installed TRIAL version. If you wish to continue to use it you have to buy e keycard. I really hate this practice from vendors and ALWAYS uninstall trial software on my computers. Please check the following link to buy product keycard.

You can pay much cheaper for Home & Student version and a lot cheaper with a student id card.

  • Office 2010 Product Key blocked

I have installed Office 2010 again on a rebuild of Windows 7 and when I try to change the
product code so that it is activated it locks up.     When I go to your site and put in the product
code it says it is blocked.
I bought the product with a new computer and it worked for a long time.  Now with rebuilding Windows 7
and reinstalling office the code is blocked.
How do I get it unblocked without playing lots of games and filling many forms?  If I can't I will stop buying MSFT
products and make do with other products, mostly free ones...

  • Windows 8.1-Office 2010 Product Activation Failed

I've tried suggested fixes from other posts, but haven't been able to resolve this issue...we recently purchased several Dell Venue 11 Pro tablets with Win 8.1 Pro. MS Office Professional Plus 2010 installs fine, but within a short time we get a 'product
activation failed' message in all Office programs. After inputting the MAK activation code, it seems to accept it and goes through finishing installation (which I found odd), but after shutting down the program and restarting and even rebooting the computer,
the "Product Activation Failed" message reappears. I have tried numerous times and even went through the telephone activation which seems to complete successfully without error, but does not clear the failed message. I have attempted running the
activation wizard as the network admin too, to no avail.
We use this version of Office 2010 on XP, Vista and 7 workstations with no issues; only issue is on Win 8.1 devices.
Any assistance or advice is appreciated.

  • Office Plug-in : support for MS Office 2010 version

We tried to use the Office Plug-in that is available with OBIEE version 10.1.3.3.2 for MS Office 2010 version.
It does not work and throws an error message that indicates Office 2003 or Office 2007 are the versions that are supported.
    Questions:
    1. Is there a patch available for this plug-in that will work with Office 2010 version?
    2. Does OBIEE 11.1.1.3 (Current release) support Office 2010 through the plug in? If not any insight into when Office 2010 is supported by the OBIEE Office Plug-in
Also, I heard that Office Plug-in and Smart View are going to be merged into a single product in the future releases... any thoughts on this as well.
    Thanks
    Sundar

We raised a support log few weeks back on this. The answer Support gave:
At the moment, Office 2010 is not certified against the current release of OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 and OBIEE 11.1.1.3.0
Oracle is planning on Supporting MS Office 2010 on with BI 10.1.3.4.2 and 11.1.1.4.0. No official eta's for the releases at this stage.

  • Office Pro 2010 Product Activation Issue

Started getting errors when opening Office applications stating "product activation required". This product has been in use (activated) for some 3 or 4 years now and the product ID displays as installed.
The Office product has been in use since purchase without issue.
I checked and there are no updates pending for the Office 2010 product????
Full scan with Microsoft Security Essentials comes up clean.
    Any ideas??

    Hi,
I want to know whether you are using a retail version of Office or a Volume Licensing version? Is it Office Professional Plus 2010?
The error "Product Activation required" implies that your Office 2010 is no longer licensed. You can try the method below to fix it:
Determine whether the computer has the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Office 2010 installed. To do this, open any Office 2010 program, click
File, and then click Help. The Office version is displayed next to the
    Version number.
    Close all Office 2010 programs.
Click Start,  type cmd in the
Start Search box, and then press Enter.
At the command prompt, type one of the following commands, and then press Enter:
If you're running 64-bit Windows with 32-bit Office:
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\OSAUI.exe" /F
If you're running 32-bit Windows, or running 64-bit Office with 64-bit Windows:
    "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE14\OSAUI.exe" /F
If the problem persists after the steps above, there are some other methods that you may need to try, we can find more details in this Microsoft KB below:

  • Cant uninstall Click to run MS Office 2010 beta

Trying to upgrade MS office 2007 to 2010, it won't allow me to install. It says it can't upgrade a beta version of 2010, so uninstall to continue.
When I try to install the upgrade I get a setup error which states "setup is unable to proceed due to the following errors: Microsoft Office 2010 does not support upgrading from a pre release version of Microsoft Office 2010. You must first uninstall
any pre release version of Microsoft Office 2010 products and associated technologies. Correct the issues listed above and re run setup."
So I then go into my control panel under programs and uninstall or change a program, the only thing I find related is Microsoft Office click-to-run 2010 beta. When I try to uninstall this I get this message, under click to run application manager it says
"the action cannot be completed. Try the action again. If the problem continues, contact Microsoft product support."
Any ideas on how to proceed?

sorry, i have find out the root cause of this issue
i changed winecfg version to win7, last night. it became normally after i changed it back to XP.
BTW , office 2010 needs msxml6 and office 2007 needs msxml3 , they are different .dont make it wrong.
though office 2010 works fine , but @thisllub , you are right , activation is still broken.

  • MS Office 2010 upgrade Home and Student to Home and Business

    Hello,
I have to change Office versions on a couple of computers from Home and Student to Home and Business. I intend to uninstall the current versions then install the new ones. Presumably the license keys "liberated" can be reused on other computers. Is that
    correct?
As far as I can tell, MS provides no way to recover a key. There are several utilities on the net that claim to do that. How reliable are they?
    Thanks in advance
    Philippe

    Hi,
For a preloaded Office version you can locate the product key on you computer.
If you purchased a Product Key Card, please locate the key on it.

If you lost the product key, try this:

    More information about licenses usage:
Q:Can I install Office Home and Business 2010 and Office Professional 2010 on more than one PC?
A:It depends on what you purchase—a Traditional Disc or Product Key Card. If you purchase a Traditional Disc retail license of Office Home and Business 2010 or Office Professional 2010, the retail license terms allow you to install, activate, and use Office
Home and Business 2010 or Office Professional 2010 on your primary PC and your portable device such as your laptop. This license is for your use exclusively.
If you purchase an Office 2010 Product Key Card, you can only activate and use the suite on one PC or device. For more information on the license you have purchased and to obtain an overview of your licensing agreement, visit the

  • Problem uninstalling Office 2010

My company is currently using Office 2010 ProPlus via O365 subscription.  We are preparing to update to Office 2013 and I am trying to create a script that will uninstall Office & Lync 2010 and install Office 2013.
I'm having trouble finding a way to uninstall Office 2010 from a script.
I've tried to follow the instructions I found here, but when I run the command:
    setup.exe /uninstall ProPlus /config uninstallconfig.xml
    I get an error:
The product installation has been corrupted.  Run setup again from the CD, DVD, or other original installation source.
The install source I'm using is a shared folder on our network, which is the same location Office 2010 was installed from.
I've tried using both /uninstall ProPlus and /uninstall ProPlusSub as I'm not sure which one is correct.  I get the same error both ways.
    Any suggestions?

Just like the error says that your installation has been corrupted. I would suggest you to use Microsoft Fix It tool to remove Office 2010:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179
Or you might repair Office 2010 first, then try to use /uninstall command again.
For the command, please check whether you have typed the correct ProductID. For more details about
    /uninstall, please refer to:

  • Inability to download Office 2010

    Good evening all,
The company I work for have recently had a computer crash and I have had to wipe the HDD. The issue is, Office 2010 H&B was installed on there and they were only given a PKC for it.
The issue I am having is having MS allow me to download a copy of the software to reload onto the machine.
I put in the product key and it says it is associated with another account other than the work one. I have looked through our purchase logs and it clearly shows the product key being associated with the account I am using.
Do you guys have any other suggestions on how to get this other then resorting to an untrustworthy torrent?
    Thanks
