Office 2013 Pro Plus Activation not taking ?

Hello All.
I'm having issues with the license I received from my CTO.  It's a legit license from Microsoft (Downloaded straight from the site). But the activation goes nutty no matter what I do.
Details:
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit
Office Pro Plus 32-Bit
Problem:
Activation will not take.
If you take a look at Capture.jpg - You will notice that all programs are showing;  'Product Activated Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013' but then underneath that, it says 'Activation Required'  --- What ???
If you look at Capture1.jpg - I've entered the license key and I get the Green Check - I click Install & Nothing. No Results. I've restarted, I've uninstalled and reinstalled.
I'm out of ideas. Yours?

Hi,
1.Open any Office program. For example, open Microsoft Word 2013.
2.Click the File tab.
3.Click Account,  then click Activate Product.
4.In the Microsoft Office Activation Wizard, choose I want to activate the software by telephone,  then  click Next.
5.Click the drop-down menu, and then choose the country or region that you're from.
6.The Product Activation Center telephone number will appear under the drop-down menu in Step 1.
In addition, you might also contact Microsoft Customer Service they will help you to activate:

  • Activating Microsoft Office 2013 Pro Plus? Volume licensing needed?

    Hello,
I have unique scenario in my company where we need to install office 2013 pro plus on 10 hard drives. Each hard drive has its own windows 7 operating system. Due to security reasons, the setup consists of one computer tower (with no primary hard drive) that
has a slot in tray for one hard drive. These hard drives are accessed one at a time. There are not set up on a network and do not have internet access. What would be the best method of installing office? Of course we could install 10 copies of office on the
10 hard drives, but this would be expensive. I keep hearing about KMS (Key management service) and MAK (multiple activation key) which I believe would require volume licensing. Is this a possible cheaper alternative? Would we need to set up a server to manage
    the keys?
    Any feedback is appreciated.
    Thank you

    Hi,
A volume licensing aggreement is the best plan for your case, I think.
Multiple Activation Key (MAK) activation is used for one-time activation through Microsoft hosted activation services, either via the Internet or by telephone. Each MAK has a predetermined number of allowed activations, this number is based on volume licensing
    agreements.
KMS is a client-server model in which the client requests activation from a computer serving as the KMS host. KMS activation requires TCP/IP connectivity between the clients and the KMS host. By default, KMS host uses DNS to publish the KMS service. It works
best with more than 50 computers.
So I think the best choice for your scenario is MAK as your setup is not on a network and only need 10 copies of Office. Also, with MAK, you don't need a server to "manage the keys" as the MAK key need to be added at installation time.

    Hi Team,
Lync 2013 client - part of Office 2013 Pro Plus - unable to edit or remove picture, option is grayed out.
Using Exchange 2010 Server and Lync 2010 Server at the back. To the best of my knowledge, this option is only available when using Exchange 2013 rather than Ex 2010.
Can somebody confirm this as I am not 100% sure about it.
    Appreciate your help. Thanks

    Hi,
The photo precedence in Lync 2013 is high-resolution photo from Exchange 2013 -> Photo from web address -> Active Directory photo. The "Edit or Remove Picture" button is available if you integrate Lync Server 2013 with Exchange 2013.
Since you are Lync server 2010 and Exchange 2010, you can choose the following two options:
The thumbnailPhoto attribute on the user's object in Active Directory Domain Services
A URL configured by the user

  • Office 365 Pro Plus vs Office 2013 Pro Plus licensing

I can't find any exact answers on this but I'm wondering if I can run Office 2013 Pro Plus instead of office 365 Pro Plus click to run. The problem is click to run causes all kinds of problems with 3rd party software. It's so random too and doesn't happen
    to everyone in my office.
With office 365 this is what happens. We have this 3rd party integration with word that adds a tab to interact with our CRM. When you click a button on this tab word crashes and you loose your document. It will auto recover most of the time but at that point
the 3rd part integration is broken because the document was open outside of the software.
I did an online repair of office 365 but that didn't fix it.
So I have a volume license key for Office 2013 pro plus for my terminal servers and was wondering if I could just use that key on my computers to activate Office 2013 Pro Plus instead of Office 365 and still be compliant with the license agreement.
I have tried installing Office 2013 Pro Plus and activating with the Office 365 login but it converts office 2013 to the Office 365 click to run. It's so infuriating! LOL.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
"So I have a volume license key for Office 2013 pro plus for my terminal servers and was wondering if I could just use that key on my computers to activate Office 2013 Pro Plus instead of Office 365 and still be compliant with the license agreement."
By the volume license key, do you mean a MAK key? Technically it should work fine, but since it will be related to the licence policy, I suggest you contact the local customer service to confirm:
    http://support.microsoft.com/gp/customer-service-phone-numbers/en-us
"I have tried installing Office 2013 Pro Plus and activating with the Office 365 login but it converts office 2013 to the Office 365 click to run. It's so infuriating! LOL."
I understand in your scenario if you activate Office 2013 with the Office 365 account it will display Office 365. But does it also display "click to run"? The installation method should change unless you installed Office 2013 via click to run too.

  • Power Map in Excel 2013 (Office 2013 Professional Plus) will not show up in ribbon

I have tried literally everything and nothing works.
I can download the preview version of the Powermap addin and it works.
But by default the add-in will not show up in the ribbon.
I uninstalled , reinstalled, re-ran SP1 of office 2013. double checked the load behaviour,
    ran a repair.. nothing works.
Powerview displays fine, Bing Maps... just not Power Map

    Hi Kenneth,
Since you are using Office 2013 Professional Plus, you can only use Power Map Preview for Excel 2013, which is an unsupported add-in. See:

    Hi David,
Are you installing Office 2013 with a CD or source files on your local drive?
The log above tells us that the failure occurred during the install of the ProPlusWW.msi. "1603" is a generic MSI error code, so doesn't help much here.
I noticed below part in your attached log:
    "2015/02/06 15:36:55:270::[6108] MSI(INFO): '02/06/2015 15:36:55.254 [3892]: Assembly Install: Failing with hr=80070005 at RemoveDirectoryAndChildren, line 396"
The error code 0x80070005 is also described as ACCESS DENIED, so you might want check your permissions and make sure you are running as admin.
Also, if you are installing with a CD, then please try a flat installation (which means perform an installation from an image that has been copied to a hard drive rather than directly from CD media), and see if issue persists. This can help
with problematic software installations because performing a flat copy is much easier for the computer than the random access reads required during a normal installation.

    Hi tobytyler9655,
ProPlusWW.cab is a file from Office Pro Plus installation.
Since ProPlusWW.cab is missing, the installation resource may be damaged. You can download the install resource from Microsoft website and reinstall it.

  • App-V 5 SP2 and Office 2013 Pro Plus

    Hi
We have a terminal environment (RDS) of 20 servers and have implemented App-V 5 SP2 in it and deployed Office 2013 to it.
We don't publish Office 2013 globally because not all users are supposed to get Office 2013.
We have 2 different deployment configurations (XML's) that are configured to universal groups and the user's are members of that depending on which configuration they are supposed to have.
Now the problem, when we log a user onto the RDS and he is a member of one of the Office group he get's the Office packages and the Integrator runs and "Mail (Microsoft Office 2013)" cpl is created in Control panel and everything works fine.
When the user logs off and on again and goes to another server in our farm he gets the Office packages but no integrator runs and there is no "Mail (Microsoft Office 2013)" in control panel.
But if the users happens to log on to the same server as he landed in first place then he has access to "Mail (Microsoft Office 2013)" in control panel.
We are using network load balance and session broker for our farm.
The office 2013 was sequenced as the instructions said and no extra features or addons where implemented.
    Best Regards Kristjan R. Halldorsson

    Hello,
It is only supported if you publish the package globally and since you aren't publishing globally this is most likely the reason you have issues.

  • Office 2013 pro plus deployment

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy office 2013 to all in my organization through a group policy, the version that I have is 15.0.4569.1506. I have used oct to customize the setup and activate the product.
All works fine but after the product is installed there are 2 GB of updates that are needed. I am trying to find the best way to push out the updates along with the initial installation.
I have tried downloading a few updates and placing them in the updates folder in the package but this does not install the updates and it is not possible to download more than 100 updates and place them in the updates folder.
Is there a latest version available with all the updates included that can be deployed straight away?

    Hi,
Microsoft have used some rather confusing product marketing terms, which makes it hard to get clear, and also to be clear, when it comes to this release of Office :(
Office 2013ProfessionalPlus - installation uses the classic setup.exe + MSI engine. Can be updated via WSUS.
Office365ProPlus - installation uses the new ODT, and results in C2R virtualized "installation". Can't be updated via WSUS.
So, if you're using the ODT, then you're not using Office2013ProfessionalPlus..

  • Upgrade Office 2010 to Office 2013 Pro Plus

Have a possible to upgrade from Office 2010 to Office 2013 without lose the user information (.PST for example) using SCCM 2012?
    Atenciosamente Julio Araujo

That really has nothing to do with ConfigMgr. All ConfigMgr does is run the command line that you give it. What that command-line does is up to that command-line.  To my knowledge and IME, running Office setup in-place to upgrade Office always preserves
all user data though without any additional configuration.
