Office 2013 Professional plus installation on a Windows 7 PC with Office Enterprise 2007 previously installed

I have a DELL XT2 with plenty of RAM and disk space.
Until, recently I had Office Enterprise 2007 running with Visio Professional 2007.
I wish I never tried to upgrade to Office 2013 Professional plus
- what a waste of time and nightmare.  The software is not fit for purpose will only install on a PC that has never had office on it !!!! complete joke.
I uninstalled Office 2007, Visio Professional 2007, spent 15 hours cleaning the registry manually and using registry cleaning tools as Microsoft's uninstall does not work.  I have tried clean boots, using Fixit tool to remove old
traces of Office but no success, I followed the article religiously on how to manually remove Office from the registry and disk.
The software when installed does not make it to the end and bombs out saying there is a bootstrap loader error, this is not funny any more.
Can someone advise how to fix this please, I have looked at all the proposed fixes on TechNet and they are a complete waste of time.
If nobody knows how to fix it and can someone point to a place where I can download 2007 Office Enterprise and Visio Professional 2007 so I can get back to where I was, I can't find the original disks but still have the license keys.
What can you say, what a waste of life. The folks that write and test the software should no better please don't  release  stuff that's not ready - it just creates a negative experience.
Thanks

After reading the whole post, I still don't capture the exact error message or code from it when you failed to install Office 2013.
The only clue is that "bootstrap loader error" ...
It seems that you want to upgrade Office 2007 to new Office 2013, by default, we could complete the uninstall previous Office version and install the new Office in the installation wizard.
At this point, if you get the install source through CD or other media. I recommand that we copy/paste the installation to local drive. Then turn off all of anti-virus and firewall, begin to setup in
Windows clean boot mode.
Please use a setup log to troubleshoot setup problems in Office if the installation problem still occurs.

Thanks for your reply Renato. We have created custom MSP file using Office Customization Tool & using below parameter for installation:
    setup.exe /adminfile customfile.msp /config customfile.xml
there is no issue with installation & office also works fine. we are using office 2013 professional plus 32bit version on windows 7 x64.
when we click on change wizard popup for few seconds & then disappears. no information about same is logged into event viewer.
check the office setup logs (logs are created whenever office setup.exe is executed, this includes ARP change/repair)
the office setup logs are located in %TEMP%, so, if setup.exe is launched by ConfigMgr that is c:\windows\temp, but if setup.exe is launched by a user that is C:\Users\Don\AppData\Local\Temp
The logfiles are named like this: SetupExe(2014092418203415B8).log

    Hi,
The description of error 1653 is that you could not perform a multiple-package transaction because rollback has been disabled. Multiple-Package Installations cannot run if rollback is disabled. Available beginning with Windows Installer version 4.5.
According to error code 1653, I find a similar question about it. I address it here, you can follow Micrey’s suggestion to check if it works.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/f6501a3d-5c98-467b-9f48-3c6d20a454df/microsoft-office-professional-2013-encountered-an-error-during-setup?forum=officesetupdeploy
“The issue when you hit a "1653" is that Windows Installer "DisableRollback" is set. Office 2013 requires that "rollback" be enabled. If you are getting a "1653" error in your logs as Ken did then the solution is to delete the "DisableRollback" (or set to
'0') at the following registry keys:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer”

  • How to install office 2013 professional plus

    Dear;
I wonder how to install office 2013 professional plus in IMAC.
I use bootcamp to install windows 8 and then install office 2013 professional plus?

It does not run on Macs, only on Windows. So, yes, you would need to install Windows on your computer or:
Get Office 2011 - Mactopia - or you can try the freeware suite, Libre Office, that is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows except it works on Lion/Mountain Lion.
These two suites are similar to Libre Office:
    NeoOffice - $30.00

  • Power Map in Excel 2013 (Office 2013 Professional Plus) will not show up in ribbon

I have tried literally everything and nothing works.
I can download the preview version of the Powermap addin and it works.
But by default the add-in will not show up in the ribbon.
I uninstalled , reinstalled, re-ran SP1 of office 2013. double checked the load behaviour,
    ran a repair.. nothing works.
Powerview displays fine, Bing Maps... just not Power Map

    Hi Kenneth,
Since you are using Office 2013 Professional Plus, you can only use Power Map Preview for Excel 2013, which is an unsupported add-in. See:

  • Sql Server Native Client and Office 2013 Professional Plus template

Does the Office 2013 Professional Plus template include sql server native client 10.0?
This is in response to an earlier question: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/70e91af7-586a-41ca-994e-b8378928847e/connecting-access-2013-using-preview-image-to-azure-sql-database?forum=AzureRemoteApp
Using the Office 365 trial subscription image - the sql server native client 10.0 is not included in this image.
The reason for the question is that I'd like to link an MS Access database front end to SQL Azure and it is quite helpful to have the sql server native client 10.0.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
Unfortunately the Office 365 ProPlus (Subscription required) (Uploaded on 11/26/2014) image template
does not include the SQL Server Native Client.
As of now you would need to
create a custom image template with the required software and upload it.
I just created one a couple of days ago for a customer that had what you are requesting plus a few extras.  In their case they have a custom application that they needed to connect to SQL Server on an IaaS VM so I built the custom
image to accommodate that plus other requirements.

  • Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus hangs on install

    Hi,
Current OS is Windows 8.1 64Bit trying to install MSO 2013 professional Plus.
During installation it hangs around 50%-60%. CPU usage drops to 0%, Disk to 0% but memory stays at 14.8MB. I tired stopping the Print Spooler service, Used CCleaner, Used the Microsoft office removal tool, ended 4 out of the 5 processes running on the task

If any one has any ideas please let me know.

    Hi Tiago,
From your description, OWA works work, so your Exchange server is ok.
I recommend you check the following thing for troubleshooting:
Please configure a mail profile with another user who has an Online Archive on that machine and check the result. If it works well, there is something with the problematic mailbox. If the issue persists, the issue is related to your Outlook.
    Hope it helps.

  • How can I activate office 2013 professional plus with a MSDN product key ?

I have office professional plus 2013 x64. I'm trying to activate it with my MSDN product key but it says "This key is for a different version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 than what's currently installed"
However the product key is for Office pro plus 2013 x64 and x86! So, what's the problem here?

The problem could be one of these:
    1. Install volume license edition rather than retail
    2. install too many keys in your office some of them need to uninstall first
    3. You are using a block key.
In the mean time use this cmd scrip and post the screenshot here: (hide the private infomation)
    1. Find out your key and installation screen:
    cmd+admin
    cscript "C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\ospp.vbs" /dstatus

  • Office 2013 Professional Plus configures each time you start

I have a problem that has been well documented for Office 2010.
I have just installed Office 2013 as an upgrade from Office 2010 and every time I open an Office 2013 application I get the following message:
'Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013".
I have tried to follow the solutions provided for Office 2010, particularly Microsoft article ID 2528748; Method 1 did not solve the problem and using Method 2 the Fix It was not applicable and as I am using Windows 7, I was unsure how to manually apply
    the fix.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution.
    Regards
As an update, I did manually apply Method 2 but it still did not solve the problem. I considered doing a System Restore back to Office 2010 and found there were resore points created to 'uninstall' and 'reinstall' Office 2013 which corresponded to 'configures'
    message.

Below is the answer I got from Max Meng (a forum moderator) when I posted a new question (it looks like I am going to have to completely uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes it, but maybe this will help someone else).  The thread this comes
    from is:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/officeitpro/thread/105fb8c6-c974-42c1-b783-c5e6f31d6d17
I thought restoring all security settings to default values was interesting.  I noticed that I had some issues in my registry that prevented the SecEdit command from completing properly, but even when I had cleared them up, I still haven't fixed the
problem.  I am also checking into possible interaction with Dragon Naturally Speaking (does anyone else who has the problem have that installed?).  Here is what Max told me:
Not sure if you have tried to repair your Office, if no, please try to repair your Office as a quick fix.
If that doesn't work, try to fix it with the following methods:
    Method 1:
Open an elevated Command Prompt, type the following command, and then pressENTER:
    secedit /configure /cfg %windir%\inf\defltbase.inf /db defltbase.sdb /verbose
    Method 2:
Try start Office in safe mode, see if this problem will still persists. (Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Office program to start it in safe mode.)
If the problem does not occur in safe mode, this issue might be related to third-party add-ins. Disable the add-ins and start Office to see whether the problem continues to occur.
If the problem continues to occur in safe mode, we recommend that you uninstall Office and then install it. To do this, read the following Microsoft knowledge base article:
