Hi,
According to your error message, there may be some conflict between Office 365 and Hotmail.
We can try open Internet Explorer in InPrivate mode.
Any existing cached credentials will not be passed through to the InPrivate session and anything entered in that session will not be carried back to the rest of the computer after the InPrivate session is closed.
When you browse the Internet in InPrivate mode, Internet Explorer does not load any toolbars or add-ons, it does not use any prior cookies or temporary Internet files, and it does not store any local data – browsing history, temporary Internet files, form
data, cookies, and usernames and passwords are all deleted when the InPrivate session is closed.
If you want to receive more information about Office 365, I recommend you post this problem in Office 365 forum:

  • Brand/ Remove Office 365 Login Page for SharePoint Online

    Hi  there,
    HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you very much for setting up this great forum. I have learned a lot of good tips from here.
We have a challenge which we would like to find a solution to.
We are using Project Online with SharePoint Online with Office 365.
We are trying to find a solution to brand/ (if branding is not possible) get rid of the Office 365 log in page.
What we are trying to achieve is:
    1. Users click on a link, say:
    https://abc.sharepoint.com/project1/
    2. Instead of seeing Office 365 login page, we would like them to be able to see the login page with our own brand or a login box to enter username and password.
Thank you very much in advance for the time you set aside to share your knowledge with us.
Sincerely, we really appreciate your kind help.

    Hi Charlotte,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to customize the Office 365 login page for SharePoint Online.
We can implement ADFS for the Office 365 subscription, then customize the ADFS forms based on login page.
Per my knowledge, If no ADFS you will need to use the Microsoft login page.

  • Change in SharePoint DNS breaking remote authentication code through office 365 login

    Hi,
I have a website that connects to a SharePoint online site in order to access content from there. The authentication is done through the Office 365 login. In order to do that, I composed the following URL:
    "https://login.microsoftonline.com/login.srf?wa=wsignin1.0&rpsnv=3&rver=6.1.6206.0&wp=MBI&wreply=https://www10226.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/landing.aspx?Source=" + window.location
so that the window.location is returned to after the authentication is done. It worked so far, but today I encountered the following problem: https://www10226.sharepoint.com now says page cannot be found, DNS lookup failed. Apparently the correct
address is now https://www10501.sharepoint.com . Does anybody know about this sort of change? Is it a one time thing or it happens on a regular basis? How can I get the right DNS dynamically so my code won't be affected by changes like this
    one in the future?
    Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi, Jason, and thank you for the answer.
I am not the global administrator. The problem is that I want an universal problem for any SharePoint Online site that will be accessed by the users - A link like the one above, authenticating the user to SharePoint Online via Office 365 and then returning
    to my website.
I composed the URL above by simply looking at what redirects Office 365 does when I try to log in into my SharePoint Online site. At that moment I understood that wreply=https://www10226.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/landing.aspx
was an universal authentication endpoint, but then the address changed and it was https://www10501.sharepoint.com,
    and currently it is https://www10706.sharepoint.com
. I am confused by these changes. Do you mean to tell me that this part www10706 is specifically only to one SharePoint Online site and that if you tried to authenticate to a different SharePoint address than mine, it wouldn't work? If so, how should
the URL be in order to achieve what I want, authentication and returning to website, having the security token attached to the request?
I came across this article http://community.office365.com/en-us/w/domains/sharepointcname.aspx, but I am unsure whether it has to do with the changes I am experiencing. I tried putting the SharePoint address inputted by the user in the wreply parameter
    (such as wreply=https://www.ALIAS.sharepoint.com) but after
the authentication it just remains on the SharePoint page, without returning to my website.
Please advise, I need to find a solution to this.
    Cheers!

Customer have tried to involve Microsoft with them through a third party technical support company but microsoft was not able to apply anything since they have tried to apply some scripts but those scripts would take
    3 days without finishing.
The first time the Dirsync was applied it took 1 week without finishing until now they were not able to apply a full import and export sync.
What have really got me interested is that Microsoft did not suggest to the customer to upgrade his FIM (ForeFront Identity Manager)'s old version
    to the latest one.
Customer is using Full SQL deployment on a dedicated server and DirSync (FID) on a separate server too. The deployed servers are virtual and have 32
GB ram and 200 GB HDD size and 4 cores.
I have recommended to this customer that we do not touch this current deployment since Microsoft themselves couldn't do anything in regard, but what
we could do is take a virtual snapshot and then apply the upgrade and see if this resolves the issue or not?
    Note:
Microsoft talked to them about a limited number of synchronized items to their Azure site per week! I am not sure about this but what the customer
said is that they change approximately about 25,000 user object per day.
Could this issue happens because of this limit?
    Thanks

Besides the large number of objects in the system, which I am not sure DirSync can handle, I suggest you separate the failing step from other steps in the RunProfile.
    So, if you have a step that does Delta Import and Delta Sync, separate into 2 steps;

  • Office 365 OneDrive issues in relation to Excel 2007

    Hi support
I have a client with Office 365, where he uses OneDrive on a local PC with Office 2007.
On this PC he can't open Excel files using the Windows Explorer where he navigates to the OneDrive-folder. It simply says:
"Cannot open file" , and it is the samme error if he tries to copy the Excel file to his local desktop, or tries to open it as an attached file in a mail.
The event-log does not show anything neither.
However if he opens Excel 2007 on his PC, and opens the Excel document THROUGH the program, then he can open the file sucessfully. (There is also no problems with other files on OneDrive, like Word or PDF-files, only Excel files that are causing the error)
Other users can open the exact same files with no problems using an Excel 2013 on their local PCs.
We have tried to run a repair of the Office 2007 and OneDrive, but it didn't solve the problem.
    I hope you can help
    Best regards
    John B.

    Hi,
Does the issue occur if the Excel file is in your other folders apart from the OneDrive folder? If yes, let's try the steps below in Excel 2007 to fix the issue:
    1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click
    Excel Options.
    2. Click Advanced, and then clear the Ignore other applications that use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) check box in the
    General area.
    3. Click OK.

  • Sharepoint Login Popup (Office 365 vs. Microsoft Account)

    Hello Everyone,
We are using Sharepoint Online and I am designing the site for office use. Let me pre-face this with the fact that we do NOT use Office 365. I have been registering email accounts with Microsoft so other users can login externally. I have run into a barrier
to adoption for my users: When they attempt to access the sharepoint site (randomdomainhere.sharepoint.com), they are met with an Office 365 login popup. There is an option at the bottom of that popup to login with a Microsoft account. Now, even though
I have explained in great detail that this link needs to be clicked and the user login from that page, I still receive multiple users asking me to make this process easier as it often leads to mistakes or frustration on their end. What I have done to this
point is clicked on the link, used that URL as a Trusted site, and remained logged in. In theory, as long as I click the link I get right in, but the preference would be to display the microsoft account page popup in place of the office 365 popup. This would
potentially do one, if not both of the following:
    1. Allow my users to login using their credentials without seeing two popup pages
    2. If site was trusted and auto login was allowed, it would let users directly into the Sharepoint site
    which is the intended goal.
I have searched for an answer to this repeatedly with no viable solution. I should also mention that I am not a developer or web designer. I am just a guy who wants to make things run smoother in my office. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Christian

There really isn't a good solution to this issue at the moment.  MS applied this change to the Login page a few months ago and it is very confusing for external users.  MS is aware of the frustration, but the SharePoint Online group doesn't control
that login page.  What I have done for my external users is put together an email message, with a screen shot, showing how to get to the Microsoft Account login page from the default login page.
#1 is the only way that works.
#2 usually won't work since the trust sites autologin passes their workstation login.  In my experience that usually will be an internal corporate account that won't match their Microsoft account.
The only way to really handle it at this point is through education and wait for the login page to be changed to a better external user experience.

  • Office 365 + Sharepoint Login page Branding + external user

    Hi,
I have found, way to branding login page in Office-365 on this link
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn532270.aspx
Is branding is possible to log-in in office 365 share point  of Organization accounts  and as well as external user also log-in through custom branding log-in page?
i have required custom branding for office 365 login page for external user??
please suggest me to full fill my requirement.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want that external user log-in through custom branding log-in page.
You don’t need to custom branding for office 365 login page for external user.
You can custom solution to capture user credentials and pass them to master login page.

  • Mess with accounts in OneNote and OneDrive for Business - can't open documents from Office 365

    Hello!
    [Reposted from
    here]
I've got Office 365 subscription (E3) with Office.
I can view and edit OneNote notebooks on Office 365 via browser, but can't open it in OneNote.
The similar problem exists for OneDrive for Business - some libraries are syncing, some cannot - asking for Enter credentials, but when I click - nothing happens.
There were two accounts bound to Office 2013 - personal Microsoft ID as primary account and corporate Office 365 linked to it.
Windows 8.1 corporate profile is linked to Microsoft ID account as well.
Something happen with these accounts after password was changed - it seems like some account information was cached and can't be cleaned.
I tried to uninstall Office and install it - no success.
    I cleaned computer with
this utility from Support - no luck.
On other Windows 8.1 computer I created new profile (with Microsoft ID account) - surprise, there are problems there as well.
I deleted all Office15 entries from Credentials Manager - Office asked me about Office 365 login/password - I entered them, it is syncing, Haliluja, but, when Microsoft ID account was linked to Office 365 account in Office - problem appears again.
It seems that Office 2013 uses Microsoft ID credentials for Office 365 content.
I'd like to use Microsoft ID as primary account for Office and link Office 365 account to it, but don't want such problems. It worked fine, but I don't know what happened and how it can be analyzed and fixed.
Update: It seems I localized the problem, but still don't know the solution.
Scenario to reproduce error for me:
    1. Create fresh new Corporate/Domain user profile on Windows 8.1 with Office Pro 365 installed on computer with latest updates
    2. Go to SharePoint Online and browse some Libraries and OneNote notebooks - all ok
    3. Start to sync them using OneNote and OneDrive for Business - ok
    4. Link Microsoft Account with Corporate Account in Windows 8.1 - ok
    5. Syncing of _some_ (not all) Office 365 libraries and notebooks stop working - errors with access, permissions. I'm trying to enter credentials but this doesn't help
    6. Disconnect Microsoft Account and Reboot - all libraries and notebooks of Office 365 work fine again. But OneNote notebooks from OneDrive stop working :)
How I can fix this situation and have Microsoft and Corporate account connected?

    Update 2:
I installed PowerShell for SharePoint online cmdlets and found this user using get-SPOUser.
I removed this user using remove-SPOUser -site
    https://mysitename.sharepoint.com -LoginName
    [email protected]
but when I'm trying to access sharepoint from the browser with Microsoft account credentials - new record for this user is created again and I can see it with get-SPOUser :(
So, problem is still not solved - this user is still can be authenticated (there is no such user in SharePoint site collection, there is no such user profile) and Office 2013 syncing doesn't work for Office 365 due this mess with accounts.
I know that I can remove Sharing with external users from Site Collection and information about these users will be permanently deleted - but I don't want to do this, there are several customers who work with our documents.

  • Office 365 Pro Plus vs Office 2013 Pro Plus licensing

I can't find any exact answers on this but I'm wondering if I can run Office 2013 Pro Plus instead of office 365 Pro Plus click to run. The problem is click to run causes all kinds of problems with 3rd party software. It's so random too and doesn't happen
    to everyone in my office.
With office 365 this is what happens. We have this 3rd party integration with word that adds a tab to interact with our CRM. When you click a button on this tab word crashes and you loose your document. It will auto recover most of the time but at that point
the 3rd part integration is broken because the document was open outside of the software.
I did an online repair of office 365 but that didn't fix it.
So I have a volume license key for Office 2013 pro plus for my terminal servers and was wondering if I could just use that key on my computers to activate Office 2013 Pro Plus instead of Office 365 and still be compliant with the license agreement.
I have tried installing Office 2013 Pro Plus and activating with the Office 365 login but it converts office 2013 to the Office 365 click to run. It's so infuriating! LOL.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
"So I have a volume license key for Office 2013 pro plus for my terminal servers and was wondering if I could just use that key on my computers to activate Office 2013 Pro Plus instead of Office 365 and still be compliant with the license agreement."
By the volume license key, do you mean a MAK key? Technically it should work fine, but since it will be related to the licence policy, I suggest you contact the local customer service to confirm:
    http://support.microsoft.com/gp/customer-service-phone-numbers/en-us
"I have tried installing Office 2013 Pro Plus and activating with the Office 365 login but it converts office 2013 to the Office 365 click to run. It's so infuriating! LOL."
I understand in your scenario if you activate Office 2013 with the Office 365 account it will display Office 365. But does it also display "click to run"? The installation method should change unless you installed Office 2013 via click to run too.

  • Problem: Firefox + Office 365 + PDF

Hi, I seem to have found a tricky problem with Firefox 23.0.1, Office 365, and PDF.
After multiple trials, the problem occurs only when I try to attach a PDF to an email (using Office 365) while using Firefox.
After attaching the file to the email, the PDF attachment becomes corrupted.
If I try to open the PDF I created by downloading it back from the email to my desktop I get this Adobe message: "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired". The same file, before the uploading process, could be opened smoothly.
    Apparently:
    1) It happens with all PDFs.
No change observed if I use PDFs from other people's computer. No change observed if I save or "print" them from a .DOC version. No change observed if I attach PDF found on the internet (scanned images, documents etc.). In all cases, the problem OCCURS.
I tried by attaching other files (.docx) = NO problem observed.
    2) It happens only if I download the file back to the desktop or if open the file with Adobe through Firefox after it has been uploaded/attached to the email.
I tried opening the file (after it has been uploaded/attached) with the Office 365 preview mode = NO problem observed (I can preview the PDF).
I tried opening the file with Adobe Acrobat X Pro = the problem OCCURS.
I tried opening the file with Adobe Reader XI = the problem OCCURS.
I tried deactivating/reactivating the Firefox Adobe Reader plugin= the problem OCCURS.
    3) It happens with Office 365 only.
This is the webapp used by my University mail account.
I tried with Firefox 23.0.1+ my Hotmail account (which uses a very similar Outlook.com webapp) = NO problem observed.
I tried with Firefox 23.0.1+ my Gmail account = NO problem observed.
    4) It happens with Firefox 23.0.1 only.
I tried using IExplorer + Office 365 account = NO problem occurs
I tried using Google Chrome + Office 365 account = NO problem occurs
    5) It is a recent issue, probably related with newest Firefox version or newest Office 365. I've updated Firefox few days ago. In the same days the University has upgraded to the latest version of Microsoft Office365. Before the updates no problem had been observed.
My guess: something happens to the PDF file when it goes through Firefox+Office 365 (coding issues?)
    I use Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1) 64 BIT

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
    <b> To Enable SafeMode </b>
*You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
*''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox"; Linux: "Firefox/File > Quit")
