Office 365 tenant with multiple domains - What does Azure AD backend look like?

I'm planning a full cloud deployment of multiple services. I have a few domains I'll be using for email. My question is simple. If I create an office365 tenant, add 3 domains, and then go to AzureAD, do I have 3 Azure AD instances or a single directory?
I'm planning on leveraging Visual Studio Online, but it doesn't play nice with multiple Azure AD domains so I need to make sure I get this right.

you can do both. But normally you will use one azue ad, with all the suffixes in it. But you could create a Azure AD for every domain.

I'm told what a WPA/ WEP means when I google it, but I don't know where to find it or what it looks like ???

    Hi @royboy1952
    THe WEP/WPA code can be a combination of letters and numbers or one or the other. Use the following link if you have a Windows operating system;

  • What does OBIEE sign on look like with SSO?

Dumb question, we may be using SSO with OBIEE in the near future. When that is turned on, and a user goes to the OBIEE URL - does it just automatically log in without showing the sign on page (this is what I'm assuming)?
    Thx,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
If you have a valid session then it would log you in. But if there is no valid session then it depends on OBI Version. If you are using OBI 10g it would show not logged in page. If you are using a OBI 11g it would show the default login page.

  • What does the upgrade process look like? Black screen after a few minutes o

    Hello,
I just received a new Macbook Pro. I turned it on for the very first time, entered in my name and password, etc. Then I inserted the SL upgrade diskd circular arrow, then black screen again.. It started up, I acknowledged the license agreement, it said it would take 56 minutes to install. So I walked away. Came back ten minutes later to a blank screen. It would not respond to swipe or click, i.e. no wake-up. After a few more minutes the computer seemed dark, cold, silent. Holding down the power button finally started it back up.
Disk spun, Apple log and spinning arrow, then blank screen again. I was finally able to eject the upgrade disk. I had to re-install Leopard and parts of iLife.
So what is a normal looking upgrade? Should the screen go blank? Did I screw things up with lack of patience?
    Any insights appreciated.
    Thanks, Joe

Actually, this is normal for the default installation method (IOW, not starting by running from the DVD). The installer will first run some checks & then transfer a bunch of files to the drive for later use. The screen will be normal while this happens, but eventually the installer will restart the Mac & for a while the screen will be black -- typically less than a minute but sometimes longer. After this, the screen should reappear.
So, it is best to be patient & give the process some time to continue before deciding something is wrong & forcing a shutdown or restart.

  • What does the report viewer look like

Ok, this is a stupid question, but I've been staring at the screen for 15 minutes and I'm stumped. I'm in Visual Studio 2010/VB.Net and I've created my first CR report in VS. I'm reading some step-by-step instructions for dummies on how to view the report at run-time. It says, "Select the default form (Form1.vb) you created in VB.NET and drag a button and CrystalReportViewer control to your form."
So where the heck in the CrystalReportView Control. When I right-click on the toolbox and chose add items I can see the there is a CrystalDecisions.Web and 1 for CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms, along with a number of other CR namespaces. I can't see them in my toolbox, though. There are no CR objects in the toolbax. What are they labeled as? If I uncheck them and the chose add items again and re-check them nothing changes. Under the section of the toolbax all I have is the Microsoft.Reporting.WinForms.ReportView. There is no CR report viewer.
What section of the toolbax should the CR report view be under?

  • What does the power adaptor look like?

Did Apple make any changes to the power adaptor? Is it thinner too? I am waiting a month or two for the 1.6 MBA regardless of changes.

The Mag-safe connector is physically the same. A MBP or MB adapter will physically and electronically work with the MBA. However, since the MBA's port is facing down, you will need to account for this when using an MBp or MB adapter, either by charging the MBA upside down or some other fashion.
the physical size of the MBA adapter looks smaller than the MB adapter, but this will still be unanswered until someone can compare them in person.
The power output for the different adapters are:
    MBA: 45 watt
    MB: 60 watt
    MBP: 85 watt
You can use an MB adapter to charge an MBP, but the battery will charge very slowly.
You can use the MBP adapter to charge a MB. It will not send the full 85 watts.
Apple can not warrant or guarantee no problems when using a different adapter than intended so do this at your own risk.

  • HT5557 What does iBooks 3.0 look like in landscape mode?

Can it display a single page width or are you still forced to view two pages at once?

Forgot to check that - that is showing one page only, across the width of the screen (though it appears to be book-dependent, one of mine from the ibookstore shows as two pages and doesn't let me change the theme in it)

  • Exchange 2013 Hybrid Deployment, on-premise to multiple Office 365 tenants

Hello, we are in the early stages of planning an Exchange 2013 hybrid deployment for a federation of education organisations.
We are planning to use a single on-premise Exchange organisation for staff mailboxes across all member organisations, each member already has it's own Office 365 tenancy for students, which we would like to maintain if possible.
My question is, is it possible (and supported) for an Exchange hybrid deployment with a single on-premise organisation with multiple Office 365 tenants, my understanding is that only a 1:1 deployment is supported, can somebody confirm or clarify this ?
    Thanks

I think if you have different AD sites then you can install the DirSync or ADFS for each of them and have one way replication. I 'd aks this question to Office365 Forum and support.

  • Announcing the availability of enabling Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials' integration of Microsoft online services in environments with multiple domain controllers

In Windows Server Essentials 2012 R2, all of our online services integration features, including Azure Active Directory and Office 365, are supported only in environments that
have a single domain controller. In environments with more than one domain controller, integration of these services is blocked due limitations in the user account and password synchronization mechanism in Windows Server Essentials.
I am happy to announce that with the recent Windows August Update released on (8/12/2014, PST), this limitation has been removed.  This update adds support for both Azure
Active Directory integration and Office 365 integration features in domain environments consisting of a single domain controller, multiple domain controllers, or Windows Server Essentials as a domain member server.

  • What kind of monitor is best for judging what the printed image will look like?

I am working on a 300+ page book that contains a lot of photos that I have converted from color to grayscale in photoshop. I am using a laptop computer and I cannot judge the quality of the photos on this laptop monitor. What is the best monitor for gauging what the finished product will look like? It is a hardcover book that will be offset printed. I do not know if this particular printer uses computer-to-plate technology or if it is "old style." Thanks!

A good one...like for example this:
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?N=11083422&InitialSearch=yes&sts=pi
You need to set your calibration parameters very carefully. Eizo ColorNavigator (and NEC Spectraview) are the only calibrators that give you full control of the calibration parameters, because they communicate directly with the monitor. Hence my recommendation of the CS240, which is the least expensive model in this market segment. Excellent value for money.
Set the white point so that it is a visual equivalent to paper white, both in luminance and color. A little experimenting is necessary. Start around 100 cd/m² and 6300K, and adjust as needed. Ambient light affects your perception, which is why no fixed numbers can be given.
Even more important: set a realistic black point. Monitor manufacturers love to boast huge contrast ranges, like 1000:1 and so on. Impressive on paper, but in reality there's no way you'll get those deep blacks in print. Especially not offset print.
My starting point for offset is 0.5 cd/m², but often that turns out to be too low and I end up with 0.6 or even 0.7. This depends a lot on the paper stock.
Next, ask the printer what CMYK profile is used for the actual process. Here in Europe, that's most likely ISO Coated v2 300% (eci) or Coated FOGRA39, in other parts of the world it will be something else. Use Photoshop to soft proof to this profile. Again, the Eizo is wide gamut and covers ISO Coated almost 100%. A standard gamut monitor will be a lot less useful for soft proofing.
With a little experience and effort, you can get close to 100% reliable prediction on screen.
