Office calendar on outlook, private one in ical on Mac both on iphone 3G

My iphone 3G finally arrived and now i want to use my ical (Mac book pro, latest OS) for private events and the office Outlook 2003 (XP pro). Both calendars should appear on my iphone (and on the Mac book) and of course no private events should appear on my office account, which is open to the team. Is this possible?
Thanks, Oliver

Thank you so much for your help!  Your suggestion resolved my issue.
I also made sure to set my iCal preferences to use iCloud Home for my default calendar as well as reminders.
Thanks again!
Mike

  • How do I get my iPhone calendars to replace the ones on iCal?

Basically when I sync my calendars with my Iphone, the calendars from iCal get put on my iPhone. I want it to be the opposite, because I add most of my appointments onto my iPhone and then I like to sync with my computer just so i can have a backup calendar in case something happens to my phone. Could someone please help me out with this??

The sync process for calendar events is a bidirectional or true sync process or should be, and the same for contacts.
Try resetting the sync history on your Mac, which is done via iSync preferences with the iSync application located in your Applications folder.
There is an option to replace all calendar data on your iPhone with what is available in iCal on your Mac, but not the other way around.
Try resetting the sync history on your Mac first to see if this makes any difference.

  • Sharing Calendar from Outlook 2011 (Exchange07) to iCal

I have a user using Outlook 2011 on Exchange 2007 who wants to share a calendar read only to several users.  A lot of the users use only iCal.  What will/should the iCal users do/see to make this happen?
Note: I am just a hair past Newbie when it comes to macs.

Well, after a lot of reading, being new with Apple, I am disapointed to read that Apple stopped the sync features since 10.7.........

  • Force Outlook 2011 to use iCal default calendar to synchronize with google

    Here is a problem.
My default calendar program is Outlook 2011.
I have an iCal synchronizing with my google calendar and outlook to sync with iCal via Sync Services - so in theory my outlook calendar should be synchronized with Google.
I setup in iCal's preferences my google calendar as default (because iCal synchronizing only Google calendar not the other calendars on my mac) so at this stage, if I use iCal to add new remainder/appointment it is store by iCal in default calendar (which I setup to be my google calendar) and is synchronizing with goggle calendar right away.
Synchronizing between iCal and google works fine, however there is a problem with outlook sync with iCal, because Outlook synchronizing all items in iCal with “no category” calendar (which seems to be default and although I have changed in preferences of iCal default calendar to be the google one). Even if I delete all “on my mac” calendars - outlook creates always new one called “no category”, when I try to add new appointment with Outlook.
So there is question, how to force Outlook (or maybe syncservice) to use my google calendar in iCal as default. I think once it be possible, synchronizing between Outlook and my google calendar (via Sync Services and iCal) works great.
Anyone knows how to manage it?
    My system:
    Outlook is 14.1.4 version
    MacOs X Lion 10.7.3
    iCal 5.0.2

    Hi Maxulus,
Did you ever find a soloution to this, as we have the same problem?

  • Shared Calendars from Outlook?

I use Outlook and have access to a few shared calendars. My own and one of the ones I have access to are available to sync to the iPhone, but another one is not. Any ideas on what differentiating factors would allow some to be recognized and not others?

Can someone break thsi down for me please. We are using small business server 2011 and everyone has a windows pc but me, I have a MBP. in outlook I can opend shared calendars no problem but when I try to us the "delegate" tab in ical's preferences nothing comes up. I cant neither share y calendar or open ones that have been shared with me. The only way aound this at this point is that I have to physically add their accounts on my MBP but I don't want to do this as this can be invading privacy since I can also get their mails. I know I can untick email when i add their accounts but the fact that I still ahve the option to tick it annoys me as I wouldnt want others doing this with my account. Can someone point me in the right direction here.
P.S. One of my colleagues bought a MBP yesterday and his was as simple as plug and play. He can share his calendar and open shared ones with ical but I still cant he his. We are both running lion. I'm starting to think this is more of a server issue with permissions or something, mind you I have basic computer knowledge.

  • Best way to synch two iPhones with two different Outlooks on one computer?

Both my wife and I have iPhones. Currently, only I synch the contacts and calendar with Outlook because I'm scared that my wife's iPhone will overwrite all my data. I haven't even set up her Outlook because I don't know the best way to do this in such a way that would allow us both to synch. Since all our music is under my iTunes, would I have to set her outlook in my login, or could I do it in such a way that she logs in to her user profile (in Vista) and then into her own Outlook profile? If she has a separate user account (in Vista) do I need to set up a separate iTunes and duplicate my music library?

    Hey HatoriHanzo,
iTunes will only sync contacts and calendars from the default Outlook profile. So if you make her profile the default profile before syncing it will only sync contact and calendars from her profile. By switching the default profile you can both use the same user account.
You can also setup iTunes to share the music between multiple user accounts.

  • Home Calendar in Outlook?

Have just upgraded my iPhone 2G to version 2.0. When I sync itunes shows two calendars in Outlook 2007. It shows "Home" and "Outlook Calendar". However, I do not have a "Home" Calendar in Outlook and the iphone has put some appointments into the Home Calendar. I have reinstalled iTunes, Reset the sync history and still a problem.
    Any ideas?

I have now solved the problem. I noted from other threads that recurring items could be an issue. I therefore deleted all my recurring items from Outlook (having printed them out to re-enter later). When I synced the Home calendar appeared in my Outlook too! I then deleted the Home calendar off outlook and synced again and it disappeared from my iphone. All appointments now appear in Outlook and iPhone even the recurring entries have reappeared!

  • ICal to Outlook Calendar moves event by one day. Why?

    Hi
If I create an event in Outlook Calandar (2011 for Mac, Sp1) it arrives via Syn Services on the correct day in iCal ......... Great!
    But
If I create an event in iCal it arrives in Outlook calandar one day out .............. Why?
    HELP Please...................

    Hi,
Have you checked that the two applications are set to the same timezone?
Outlook will have a timezone setting in its Prefernces > Calendars. iCal is either set to the timezone in System Preferences > Date & Time  or if you have timezone support set in iCal's > Preferences > Advanced it will be in whatever timezone is shown in the top right of the iCal main window.
    Best wishes

  • So when I installed the most recent updates for microsoft office 2011 for mac, my ical info disappeared.  Still have the info on my Office calendar but it's no longer on ical.  It's also been removed from my phone.  How can I get outlook to sync with ical

When I installed the recent updates for Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, my iCal calendar was wiped out, as was the calendar on my iPhone.  I'd rather use iCal than Office and was attempting to phase Office out altogether.  Now, all of my information is on the Office calendar but not iCal.  The iCloud version of my iCal calendar is not up to date.  In any event, I couldn't figure out how to send that info to the iCal on my mac or my phone.  How can I sync my Office calendar info to iCal?  If that's not possible, how can I get my Office calendar to sync with my iPhone?  All of my sync services are set up in iTunes and on my phone.  This happened to me once before and I spent hours on the phone with Apple and on the web trying to work it out.  I NEED MY CALENDAR!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

As that's not an Apple product, you may get more help by using Microsoft's Office for Mac forums:
    Office for Mac forums
The other concern I have is that Office 2011 requires an Intel-based Mac and you posted in the older iMac (pre-Intel or "PPC") forums. If you have an Intel-based iMac (Apple menu > About this Mac..." will say "Intel" if you do) then I think you'll get faster and more accurate ansers to other questiosn in the Apple forums for newer iMacs here:

  • Why does icloud create its own calendars in outlook? i would like it to simply sync with my existing outlook calendar so i only have one.  now, i have three--one outlook, and two ical calendars.

i had the same problem with MobileMe.  iCloud creates new calendars in outlook that match the calendars i have on ical on my home mac computer.

  • View private shared calendar in Outlook 2013

I use a PC with Windows 7 and Outlook 2013.  My wife use a Macbook Pro.  We both have iCloud accounts (I use iCloud 2.1.2).  Both of our calendars appear in iCloud.  We have private shared the calendars with each other.  We both received join e-mails and joined the calendars.  She can see my calendar in iCal and on her iPhone as well as her own from iCal.  I can see her calendar and my Outlook calendar on my iPhone.  I cannot see her calendar on Outlook.  The path ahead seems to be to subscribe to an Internet Calender from Outlook but there is no path to put into the Internet Calendar path enty box.  If I make her calendar public, then a path is provided and that works.  I tried removing the public access, but I don't think that the calendar is updating.  I am reticent to make her calendar public permanently; I am not comfortable with anyone knowing where my wife is at anytime.  How do I find a webcal path to a private shared calendar on iCloud?

  • HT1692 Have recently installed itunes and outlook on a new computer.  Have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, Help!

My new computer is 64-bit running Windows 7 pro, SP1 and Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus 32-bit
My phone is a 4S runing iOS 6.1.3
Very frustrated now that I have recently installed itunes and outlook on this new computer.  Everything worked perfectly ok on my laptop which was also 64-bit Windows 7 and running 32-bit Microsoft Office 2010 Pro.  I have multiple email accounts set up in Outlook tho only use contacts and calendar in relation to one of these. Cannot sync itunes with the correct contacts and calendars, when I sync the calendar and contacts are empty.  Not sure if there is any way to point itunes to particular address books and calendars.
I have installed and uninstalled itunes 3 times and thank goodness have a backup
    Can anyone help please?
    thanks in anticipation

I had my home computer set up to sync to work's Exchange server. It worked well, but I didn't like seeing work email messages and other programs trying to sync with my default Outlook folder, which was then the Exchange (& work related) .ost file. I know there are various ways to manage those problems using filters, view, subfolders, etc., but it was a hassle for me. I think it could work well for many other folks.
For now, I have published my work calendar and subscribed to that calendar on my home computer. So I have view only access to my calendar on my home computer (and I can add/edit calendar items on my iPad (or Outlook Web Access) when away from work). This is not quite what I wanted, but it may work.
It almost makes me long for the days when I used my Windows Mobile Treo to sync back and forth between exchange at work and outlook at home (but had many sync conflicts as a result).

  • Trying to Work with iCal calendars in Outlook--Help!

I use MS Outlook 2003 at work, but a Mac and iPhone for everything else. I would like to be able to continue to use iCal's and the iPhone's multiple calendars (which I use to separate work events, personal events, etc) and have them merge into one single calendar in Outlook, since otherwise I often miss events since Outlook treats them all as separate calendars that cannot be shown altogether. Is there a way to consolidate or merge all those calendars when I access them on Outlook (FYI, I use Plaxo to synchronize my calendars across platforms). Thanks!
