Office Communicator 2007 R2 Mobile Client for Java

I have installed the Office Communicator 2007 on my E72. When I try to login, the clients logs in and then immediately returns to the login screen. You can see the post login screen for a moment before it comes back to the login screen. It was same on E71 that I owned earlier. Backend is OCS 2007 and CWA is enabled. I have the correct login credentials and settings.
Will appreciate any comments / suggestions on how to make it work.

Office Communicator 2007 "There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server" issue

Hello,
Last Friday is when this error first started. This is effecting all users. I am new to this position and am unfamiliar with how the Communicator server is setup. I am unsure as to where to look and where to start. We are using Office Communicator 2007 R2
running on a VM with Server 2003 R2. This is the only application being used on this host. Any ideas on where to start looking?

Looks like you did not install the CA install your client PC.
Access you enterprise CA server, like
http://dc.server.com/certsrv, download the certificate chain and intall it.
If it still can not work, please check you use automatic configuration to login your ocs client and you can resolve the SRV record to correct srv hostname using Nslookup.
If you use manual configuration, please do not use IP address of of FE.

I issued a certificate off of the server running OC 2007; I do not have a dedicated CA server. How would I pull the crtificate off of that server and install it on my clients (server name is SFBlackberry)?
By the way, half of the clients worked after I renewed the CA on the server and the other half are the ones I am having problems with.

I was using Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 Trial and it has been expired now. what is the procedure to get it renewed or extended to continue using it. I have installed office 2013 licensed but its lync is not supporting with server version. I have
no option otherthan to continue Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2. Please suggest on this situation.

OCS 2007 R2 Patching problem - Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 Hotfix KB 2755391

Hi,
Unable to patch Hotfix KB 2755391 in Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2.
The following error occurred when started the installation of communicator.msp package file
"Windows Installer: The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the windows installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. verify that the program to be upgraded
exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch"
Any one have idea? how to install this package successfully?

Which version did you OCS 2007 R2 install?
Which language the Hotfix KB did you want to update? Did it the same with the language before? If the language different from before, please download the correct language Hotfix KB and then test again.
Please also update Windows Installer to the latest version.

Not sure if AD or Echange connector have this capability. Is there any script?

Are the chats saved on local machine (at client end) or are they saved on the server?
If one of the two participants in the chat conversation has quit the organization, what is the way to retrieve it? Essentially, whose name comes in the 'From' section in the saved conversation - is the person initiating the conversation or is there some
other criteria?
Will the name format in the saved log in 'From' differ from the format used in the chat conversation? Essentially, will the capitalisation or the layout (i.e. ''SURNAME1, FIRSTNAME1" instead of "surname1, firstname1")
of the names change highlighted below? For example:
From: SURNAME1, FIRSTNAME1 [[email protected]]
Sent: Thursday, September 29, 2011 3:56 PM

Mobile client for windows 64 bit

Is there a mobile client that works on windows 64 bit?
just been asked to test out our app on a windows 7 laptop and it fails straight away with UnsatisfiedLinkError: c:\mobileclient\bin\oljdbc40.dll: Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
Cannot see anything in the oracle downloads, but they are in Berkeley mode now rather than the traditional stuff.

Not a proper solution, but i have found a work around for the problem
The windows 7 64 bit machine had java 1.6.0_16 installed as the default (we have a problem with a change to the toDate function tightening things up in 1.6.0_18 causing exceptions in our 3rd party software).
We also had an application that was bundled with its own JRE 1.6.0_06 on the machine and when i switch the application code to point at that JRE everything works fine. Not a java person, but i assume that somewhere between 1.6.0_06 and 1.6.0_16 SUN added true 64 bit support and this requires all libraries to be in line. The older version not knowing anything about 64 bit could cope, but obviously without making best use of the device resources
as we have a work around for the time being, i will probably leave this issue until we start on investigating the migration to berkeley in the new year

Back to the original matter, I can tell that modifying or extending the SAP GUI functionality on communication protocol level is quite challenging. The protocol is not published and a binary protocol.

Outlook 2010 32bit and Office Communicator 2007 R2 integration

Have a machine running XP SP3, Office 2010 32bit and Communicator 2007 R2. The problem is communicator will not integrate with outlook it states that the mail profile is not configured correctly and to seek assistance. I have a windows 7 machine running
the same versions of software and it works fine. The mailbox for the user is on exchange 2010 and online archiving is not enabled.
I have searched for the answer to this problem but have yet to find one can anyone help?

Is the users default email address for Exchange the same as the users SIP address? I am pretty sure this can cause issues.

Is new Windows Mobile VM for Java ME in new SDK 3.0 for common users?

There are bunch of buggy VMs for WM Platform such as Esmertec JBED, Esmertec JBLEND, IBM J9 etc. They have lot of bugs and they don't support neccessary JSRs. Now I have read about Windows Mobile integration in new SDK 3.0 EA for Java ME - I undestand that there is a new VM for WM from Sun, is that right? But when I installed CAB version, it seams it is just for on-device debugging with connected Wireless Toolkit on PC. I can't launch midlets located in my WM device on it. Is there also VM for common users? So they could install virtual machine and then install their midlets? I think many developers and users would apreciate it. Or is it at least in plan to release such VM?

Call Button Greyed Out After A Third Participant Is Added to The Conversation in Office Communicator 2007 R2

Hi there,
I have a problem with the office communicator. I'm able to make a call to one party without any problems. The issue occurs when I add two or more parties into the conversation. The call button will be greyed out and Im unable to make a call.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the OCS but the problem still persists.

Lync 2010 Mobile Client for IOS and Android - Is File Transfer Possible

I'm seeking confirmation that File Transfer is possible in a chat session with a Lync Mobile client running on IOS or Android. Can anyone provide further information as none of the client feature lists state it one way or the other?
