Office document creation capabilities of Acrobat XI Pro same as in Acrobat Plus?

Are the Office document creation capabilities of Acrobat XI Pro the same as the capabilities in Acrobat Plus? Thank you.

They are the same appllication as far as the Acrobat 11 part that they both include. Acrobat Plus includes the Export PDF service, which should do the same thing that Acrobat can as far as exporting to Office document formats, but it's different software.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Error Message : "Adobe Acrobat Has Stopped Working"

    I use Windows 7 - 64bit / CS6 Master Collection that has Adobe Acrobat x Pro.
    When the computer is on for a little while, Acrobat would generate the error message that it has stopped working and then shuts down. Once that error message occurs, I cannot get Acrobat to stay open. It opens the PDF document, stays open for a few seconds then the error message occurs and it shuts down.
    What helps for a short term is to restart the computer. This seems to temporarily remove the error until the computer is on for a while then the error returns.
    This problem repeats. Product repair feature does not work. This has nothing to do with the license, I tried that fix and it made no differnce. I do not have this issue with other Adobe products included in the master collection.
    It seems fruitless and frustrating to send a message to Adobe Support, the run around with pages and links is like smacking walls on every turn, it is obvious Adobe does not want people contacting their support. Service from Adobe for their products is poor.
    I hope that someone here has the answer to the problem. Anyone?

    Ok, here is the update.
    The link: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html , leads to a webpage that says to download a fix ZIP file named: "Acrofix.ZIP". It contains the file "acrofix.exe".
    I did use this "exe" file about 2 months ago and it did nothing to fix the issue. I used it again today, because the same issue of "Adobe Acorbat has stopped working", occurred again and again it did not work, the problem of "Adobe Acrobat stopped working" presists. Again the only work around, which is temporary, is to reboot the computer.
    So far these do not work:
    Relicensing or Registering the Licence
    Acrofix.exe
    Anyone else have an answer? - or am I the only one suffering this really annoying issue?

  • Is Acrobat DC Pro An upgrade to Acrobat XI Pro  or are they separate  products

    When you  Go on creative  cloud You are  given the features   of Acrobat DC pro  and  you can toggle between that and Acrobat  XI Pro  The Latter has  a better descriptions of the important feature and  the  some of the similar feature  in DC get little more than  a One  word mention.
    I get the impression that the interface is very different  but  all i really want to know will i be loosing functionality  by upgrading   or are all the same features their   just the emphasis  is on the Document cloud  and not on the  feature  print, Prepress, interactivity  and  JS integration  are all very important in my work flow  so the loss of any of these feature would be a major upset.
    Hopefully the is some greater  compatibility  to the interactive  elements   available on a desktop pc  and the  mobile  versions

    I installed DC and it indeed overwrote XI. This was not acceptable since we have plugins that are not compatible with DC. I had to uninstall it and reinstall XI. I contacted Adobe to ask how to do the install so that I had both. They told me I couldn't and I should use a different computer.
    The DC functionality...well, I don't know if it's all there because the interface is extremely simplistic and different. When I say simplistic, it looks like someone started configuring the look of the interface and then decided not to, leaving it as what might be called "stick figure" look...in color, but very stick figure. The interface doesn't seem user friendly. Of course, that could be me having an adverse reaction to the look.
    There was no thought by Adobe as to how an overwrite of the existing Acrobat would affect the end user and then to tell me it was impossible to install both and to use another computer to do my work..Not acceptable.
    And the concurrent installs...well, I actually was able to install DC next to XI and both seem to be working fine...at least so far.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro: Licensing issue prevents Acrobat from opening. What's the fix?

    OK - or i should say not OK!!
    I am running the licensed version of Acrobat 9 Pro on Mac OSX. It is installed on 2 of my MacBook Pro 17" laptops. These machines are respectively 1 month and 14 months old, and both are completely up-to-date software wise. 3 weeks ago Acrobat presented the error message "Licensing for this product has stopped working" and then quits. Searching through the error logs reveals the following: No matching processes were found. Shutting down licensing service ...
    I have meticulously, several times worked through all the recommended steps on the Adobe site to address this issue but to no avail. Booting up in safe mode makes no difference. In desperation I re-installed the OS, but to no avail. My several and extended communications with Adobe online help have left me chatting with what sounded like a couple of uni students from India who had insufficient understanding of English, Macs and Acrobat. After 3 weeks my case has been closed twice by Adobe who report that they believe my issue is resolved and have therefore closed my case. Great!!! What's more, occasionally Safari is presented online with a pdf file which it attempts to load, and then crashes.
    This issue has seriously affected my ability to work with and create pdf's which in my work as a medical researcher is essential. To add insult to injury, I have wasted too many precious hours attempting to rectify the situation.
    The bottom line is caveat emptor (buyer beware). Adobe it seems are committed to making a sale but not to follow-up, service or genuine concern for their customers. When some company produces a less buggy (and cheaper) alternative I will be definitely be buying their wares.
    In the interim, if anybody out there can advise me as to how to get Acrobat working again, I would be most grateful.
    Have a great day.
    David

    When you reinstalled Acrobat, did you use the uninstaller? Also the uninstaller still leaves some files not removed.
    If your using OSX.4.11 go to Find file and type in Acrobat, find any files (not .pdf's) that are in the Library > Application support and Preferences.  Remove all traces of any of these files. Look both in Main Library, and in Library in your User Folder (has name you gave computer when you installed system).
    It appears your have a corrupt file.
    Many problems can be traced down to corrupt file(s) in Application Support or Preferences. Preference file will regenerate though any customizations you did will be lost.
    Have you installed more than the two Copies allowed (by accident)?
    Also, if you have tied to a a common Server/Network and both have computers running at same time, might have caused this. (unless you bought at site license if Adobe sells such).

  • How to reinstall Acrobat X Pro? I purchased Acrobat X at a retail staore and Acrobat X Pro from the Adobe Website.

    I just installed a Solid State Hard-drive on my computer and am now looking for a way to reinstall Acrobat X Pro that I purchased from the Adobe Website. I purchased Acrobat X from a retail store.
    I dont need to install Acrobat X from the Disc before I install Acrobat X Pro I purchased from the website do I? And how do I install Acrobat X Pro anyway?

    Hi Sonoma707,
    There's no difference between the installer on the disk and that available online.
    You can download Acrobat 10 Pro from : http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
    and use the purchased serial number to activate the software.

  • Dynamic stamp scripting which worked in Acrobat 9 Pro not working in Acrobat XI Pro

    I don't know JavaScript, so I am flying blind. I have recently updated to Acrobat XI Pro (on Win 7 Pro). I have had trouble setting up the same dynamic stamps that I had working in Acrobat 9. Just creating the stamps has been difficult, but the real pain has been trying to use the same scripting that I was using before. In particular, I have a field in which I want to enter details of a payment, such as cheque number. The script that worked before was:
    var cAsk = "Enter Payment Details" ;
    var cTitle = "Payment Details:  ";
    if(event.source.forReal && (event.source.stampName == "#X-MzCINchnGa7KblIGbv5C"))
      var cMsg = app.response(cAsk, cTitle);
      event.value = cMsg;
      event.source.source.info.exhibit = cMsg;
    The JavaScript debugger goes nuts about event.source being null and I am completely lost.
    Can anyone suggest a script which is likely to work for me? Is there any tutorial or similar material dealing with these issues in Acrobat XI Pro and in language that I am likely to understand?
    Thanks in advance.

    Change the start of the if-statement to:
    if (event.source && event.source.forReal && ...

  • PDF prints from Acrobat 8 Pro, but not from Acrobat 9 Pro

    I have a PDF that prints fine when I print from Acrobat 8 Pro, but when I open the same PDF in Acrobat 9 Pro, only portions of each page actually print out.
    All systems running Windows XP Pro, SP3
    A8P 8.1.2
    A9P 9.1.1
    Any ideas?

    Well, for those following this thread or needing a solution, I found a work-around though I'm still not sure why the initial problem exists.
    In Acrobat 9 Pro, once you have the main print dialogue box open, follow the steps below:
    1) Click ADVANCED
    2) Select PRINT AS IMAGE
    3) Set DPI to 300
    4) Click OK
    5) Make any other typical print setup adjustments as you normally would and finish printing as usual

  • Conflict between Reader 10 and Acrobat 9 Pro, but Dreamweaver needs Acrobat?

    I was trying to figure out why Adobe Reader 10 would not print a simple one-page PDF containing only text information distributed by the federal government. I found a message about this in Adobe's forums where the person  was told they should not have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and Adobe Reader 10  installed at the same time. Well, my understanding is that removing Acrobat Pro is dangerous, because  when I installed Adobe Dreamweaver CS5, its installer said Acrobat 9 Pro had to be installed first before Dreamweaver CS5 would function. Does anyone understand this? Maybe I should remove Reader 10 instead, and just open and print PDFs with Acrobat? That's what worked with the government PDF I just mentioned.

    To answer the DW side, DW does not need Acrobat to for anything as far as I know.  Acrobat has installed before the rest of the suite (assuming you have the suite) because Acrobat was never a true part of the suite and is on a completely different lifecycle than the rest of the suite.  Hence no CS 5.5 to include Acrobat X.  And it is true what you have heard that you should not mix versions of Pro and Reader.  Is there a reason you needed Acrobat X Reader on your machine?  Was there actually a file out there that doesn't open in version 9?
    If Acrobat is giving you trouble I would recommend uninstalling the Reader version of X and leave the pro version on.  Due the time we are at out, I think it is unlikely that a point release of CS5 will be released and the integration of the suite with Acrobat X won't take place until Creative Suite 6 is released.

  • Acrobat 9 Pro can't open zip attachment in Adobe tutorial PDF

    I'd like to go through one of the CSS tutorials here on the Adobe site, and have downloaded the relevant PDF which includes a .zip attachment for the source files needed to follow the tut.
    Problem is, Acrobat 9 Pro keeps telling me "Acrobat cannot open the file attachment because your PDF file attachment settings do not allow this type of file to be opened."
    The Acrobat Help suggested fix - setting the file to allow it to open attachments - doesn't work. I also set StuffIt Expander to be the default app for expanding zip files in the Mac OS, to no avail.
    Data point: I'm running the latest update of Leopard on one of the new MBPs.
    The recalcitrant PDF is linked from this page: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/designing_for_web_05.html - "Getting your web design to the browser'.
    Anybody else encountered the same problem and found a fix?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    No product should force security on its users without providing them any practical way to override. Web browsers, email clients, and operating systems warn you of potentially dangerous files and then let the client make the choice. What if it's a zip file from a trusted source full of harmless text documents? Too bad - because Acrobat says so. Acrobat makes no attempt to examine the zip file to see if perhaps its contents are dangerous - it just sweepingly decides zips are far too dangerous to let the user have any voice in the matter. I fundamentally disagree.
    Notice that I've attached a zip file to this post. Adobe allows zips on their forums but not in their PDF documents. Adobe: If you've deemed zip files safe enough to be hosted and delivered in your own forums, why have you decided they have no place in a PDF?
    I think Adobe got this one wrong - and I cast a vote that they loosen the noose on zip files on a future release. I'd like to hear other users' thoughts on this issue. Adobe is good at listening to their users - so tell them what you think on this issue - I've posted this article as a feature request here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/520515 - reply to it that thread and share your viewpoint.
    Cheers,
    Dan

  • Acrobat X Pro trial on OSX 10.9

    I want to test Acrobat X Pro on an OSX 10.94 Mac. I don't want Acrobat XI. When I download and install, the trial button is grayed out, but the serial number boxes are there. Does anybody know how to get the trial on OSX 10.94?

    It also seem that you cannot install Acrobat XI along with Acrobat X on one Mac. I recently tried, but was warned, that I have to uninstall Acrobat X before and that the two versions cannot coexist together. Mac OSX 10.7.5.
    I also have a Acrobat 9 Pro lisence. Can Acrobat 9 coexist with Acrobat XI?
    I cannot see this mentioned in the tech specs:

  • Office document workflow.

    Dear all,
               The requirement is when an office document is created , workflow should trigger and the workitem should go to the approver who may edit and approve or reject.
               Is there any standard transaction for office document creation?If not,please suggest me how accomplish this scenario for which I will be grateful.
               Standard bus objects like SOFM and MESSAGE has methods like EDIT to serve the purpose.I suppose, the events given in these bus objects can also the purpose.But to how to make these events to raise?
    Thanks and regards,
    S.Suresh

    Dear Narin,
                   Thank you so much for your caring response.
                   First let me clarify your points :
                   1) What kind of document you want to create - related to which module.
                      The word document which I want to create do not belong to any module.
                      The content of document could be like a circular letter say the body is about code for employees in office premise.
                   2)Can it be done like Create a word document offline and upload the same document.
                      Creating a word document and uploading to SAP is O.K.But how to do this?
                   I thought to create the word document in SAP system itself if there could be any standard transaction for the same.Once the document is created workflow should get triggered and carry the document for approval.
                 You have stated "for more information check this program....",may I know that program name?So that I can check whether it will be suitable for my requirement.
                   Please suggest for which I will be grateful.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Error 1324 Acrobat XI Pro

    I upgraded to Adobe Acrobat version XI Pro after using a trial version. (I am using Windows 7 Professional on my PC) and now that there was an update (that continues to fail), I get a message saying "Error 1324. The path my documents or the volume is invalid. Please reenter it again." I have no idea what to do to fix this - "reenter it" where?. I am also having problems with Acrobat crashing my Outlook. I think the update may fix this problem but so far every time my computer tries to update Acrobat, it fails. Please help.

    Yes – but how does one find or get to the Windows registry on the computer,
    and what exactly am I typing in the windows registry when I find it? The
    path to where the My Documents folder is on my computer? Or where the
    program files are?
    I am sorry to be asking such rudimentary questions – but I really do not
    know.
