I just talked with support for HP. They wanted $25.00 to fix my problem because my software update on Mac to Maverick made my cd obsolete. Driver would not install correctly by following their web instructions. Neve buy another HP product

Deployment error on Mac Client - Office 2011 SP1 would not install
Hi,
I am trying push Service Pack 1 for Office 2011 on mac client but for some reason SCCM does not want to install. Everytime I try to push, it failed with following error. The package starts for few seconds and then throws error below
"Configuration Manager encountered a problem. The software installation or update could not be completed. For more information, contact your help desk"
I have used CMAppUtil to create the package and it was converted to CMMAC format before it deployed to test mac. I have made sure the targeted mac has missing SP1. When I manually tried the DMG for SP1 it works but I did not want to install manually
. Is there anyone have encountered same issue and have resolved it? Or if you have any suggestion where and what to check then it will great!
ThanksI am still having issues with pushing office SP1 to mac clients. Rebuilt the CMMAC file, redistributed, re-installed Office 2011 but none of these did any trick. Anyone?

I have tried deleting and resetting printer and re-installing update 6 times. Last update attempt showed none available??? I can’t load the software directly from HP because their only option is to use the software update option on the mac....frustrated!!! Help!!
I get blank pages that just run through the printer and a stats window that just 33% complete and goes no further.I am going on the guess that an old driver is still installed...
Use Finder Go > go to folder, and go to /Library/Printers and delete the HP folder(s).
Reset the Printing System:

Now, Add the printer in Print & Scan prefs. -

I have a Office Jet 4500 G510n and a MacBook Pro 15 late 2006 Model 2, Ver 10.6.8
I upgraded the HD to a SSD and everything works find except the printer. I can go to Utility and the TEST PAGE prints OK.
However, on STATUS it reads: "error/library/Printers/hp/cups/inkjet1.driver/contents/macos/injet/failed
I have checked on drivers and all I saw were for the "extra Page" ...

View Solution.From research on this HP Support site, I found that in Mac OSX they auto download updates for printing. Did not think about transfering my old HD to a SSD that those updates would follow... they did not. So... I downloaded all the updates (driver)to my new SSD and the HP Printer works!

View Solution.I would recommend resetting the printing system, then rebooting the mac to allow it to scan for the usb connection to the printer. It should then automatically add the printer back, and if any other updates are needed, it'll ask you to install htem

We installed a Office Jet 4500 Wireless printer 4-6 weeks ago. Everything is good accept it occassionally goes into 'sleep mode' when it has not been used for a couple of days. After trying several combinations of buttons, we cannot figure out how to get it back into normal operating mode without unplugging it. The manual is silent on this issue. Anybody have the magic code for waking up this machine after it has gone into sleep mode? Thanks in advance for your help.
Same problem here. I followed the instructions to supposedly turn off the sleep mode, but all that did was reset the entire machine--including the 85 speed dials I had entered. HP tech support is clueless about this problem.

itunes update would not install due to an error, now itunes won't run and I get this error message when I try to launch itunes: iTunes.exe - Unable to Locate Component "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

I am trying to install Bootcamp drivers on Windows 7 with the Mac OS CD that came with my Intel-based iMac. The problem is that I bought my iMac when the latest Windows was Vista, and it would not install on Windows 7. The Bootcamp drivers for Windows 7 on Apple Support pages are "UPDATES" that require BootCamp 3.0 already installed in Windows. However, I cannot install BootCamp 3.0 in the first place, because it would be installed only on Vista. What should I do to have BootCamp installed on my Windows 7 so that I can set the default booting OS to be Mac OS again?Just an idea for you. Are you scanning from the printer, or with software on the computer? If from the computer, are you initiating the scan from Windows, HP software, or Word?
If you put a legal size document in the feeder, and press scan, unless the defaults have been changed to letter size, it should scan the entire legal size sheet. You should be able to go into the settings and change that if the default has been set to letter.
